We had taken a brand new refrigerator (6th sense vita magic, 200 ltrs, tmc show room, hyderabad) and taken 3 years annual maintenance service (Amc) too by paying more than rs.3000/- upfront. Within 6 months, bulb inside the refrigerator stopped glowing. When i raised service request, a technician visited and said that bulb is not as part of amc contract or 1 year warranty and i have to pay additional amount to replace that. Just for the sake of replacing rs.100/- worth of bulb, he denied to provide the service. Then what's the use of paying rs.3000/- upfront for amc if they do not replace a single bulb which does not cost more than rs.75/- which is stopped working within 6 months. They might have framed the amc rules that bulbs and plastic parts are not covered under the amc but they could have replaced the bulb which does not cost more than rs.75/- to keep the customer satisfied but denied bluntly and rudely.
I tried to convince their hyderabad uppal branch staff mr. Venu and their manager mr. Ashok but they rudely denied my request. Then i tried to contact customer care at[protected] and there too one mr. Harshavardhan who is their floor supervisor responding rudely and denied to escalate the issue to the next level.
Then i tried to contact their corporate office using the numbers "+[protected]" but no one lifts the phone despite of calling n number of times for many a days.
Just for replacing a rs.75/- bulb, they are torturing the customers like this and one can imagine, what will happen, if any major parts gets damaged and needs a replacement or repair.
Where as i have another refrigerator with godrej, and with them too taken amc by paying rs.3000/-. They are very courtes and replaced bulb though they too have a rule of not covering plastic parts and bulbs etc.). This is where corporate can make difference by being flexible and customer oriented instead of blindly following the amc rules just for replacing a rs.75/- bulb.

I had already given my mobile number in the above complaint and giving once again here. My mobile number to reach is +91 [protected]. Even I had written a mail to "[protected]@whirlpool.com" on 9th Jan 2019 with a subject "Pathetic After Sales Service of Whirlpool India for Refrigerator" but even my mail NOT got acknowledged (forget about resolving the issue). Normally any small company, sends an auto acknowledgement, right? Even that is not sent by whirlpool.com people and you can imagine what kind of business they are running. And already tried N number of times to their corporate office but no one lifts phone despite of calling N number of times. When they wanted to maintain this kind of pathetic customer support, Is it not better to open a Kirana Shop for whirlpool instead of manufacturing refrigerators and air conditioners?
Whirlpool, Please rethink your business strategy.

    I received a call from whirlpool and informed about the amc plans that 1y + 3 months and 2y + 6 months are the available offers that include every 3 month service using descale powder at no cost. Based on the provided information, i opted for 2y + 6m and paid the specified amount by cheque. But i received a letter addressed from mr. Anish ahuja for 1 year amc. Initially i sent an email for which i received a reply from ms. Sonu and asked to send the amc receipt. I responded to the email with relevant attachment. After repeated emails reminding about this, she did not responded and i forwarded the email to mr. Anish ahuja.
    The issue is not yet resolved.

      We bought an extended warranty of our refrigerator from whirlpool, the warranty card which we have shows validity till 9/01/2018 yet the company is denying the service stating the product is out of warranty and saying do whatever you want they don't care. The company person came and took phographs of the warranty card yet they are denying service what should we do they just fool people

        Hi team,

        I have logged my complaint on 2nd january as 1st january was holiday for the company. I am having cooling problem from 31st december. One of the service person came to see my fridge and detected problem with the compressor.

        They ordered a new compressor and they are asking for 4-5 days time to do the servicing. Please try to understand my situation and try to understand the urgency i have. It seems the local service provider does not even care for my concern. Please help to fix my problem asap.

          We bought top loading whirlpool fully automatic washing machine in february 2017
          It worked well since 31st december 2018 but from last day there was a heavy sound in the spin tub while rinsing and spinning also the machine was moving n shifting from its position
          We lodged a complaint in whirlpool customer center they said that two year warranty period is still running, so no visiting charges. The technician came to our home and checked the machine and confirmed that the sound is due to the bearing problem and the machine needs to go to the service center and will be charged 1500/- as the machine is under warranty.
          I am really shocked how can a machine under warranty can have a faulty bearing and also as the company is degrading and loosing its trust, i am scared of sending my machine to the service center for couple of days.
          Kindly get it replaced at my doorstep.

            Dear sir/ ma'am,

            I have been using a whirlpool double-door fridge model no. Ff400 since 2007. This year, in mid of august i faced a cooling problem in the fridge lower portion (Freezer was working fine) and called up on [protected] / [protected] to lodge a repair request.

            Consequently, mr. Ashok (Reachable on [protected] and [protected]) came to address the issue and informed that the freezer fan motor of the fridge needs to be replaced. Hence, he came the next day, changed the fan motor and asked for a payment of rs.3500. I was not at home that time, and when my wife asked for a bill, mr. Ashok mentioned that the payable amount would be rs.5500 if he issues a bill. Also, he said that the company offers a 3 months warranty, but he instead would give one year warranty if we don't take the bill. My wife agreed and paid him rs.3500.

            Now recently, in december 2018, i again faced an issue with the fridge wherein it was making beeping sound at regular intervals. I called up mr. Ashok directly and he visited on 18th dec. This time, he changed a small black-colored cylindrical part which he called sensor (Photo attached) and charged us rs.2000 for the spare part which according to him was worth rs.3200 with bill.

            However, the fridge didn't stop making the beeping sound, and i had to call up mr. Ashok again after 3-4 days. This time he mentioned that he would suggest changing the module which would cost rs.4500 + service charge + taxes according to the company's price sheet, if i want a bill.

            Since i had already spent rs.5500 in the last 4 months to get my fridge repaired, and there was another high cost of rs.4500 involved i double-checked with mr. Ashok if he is sure that the problem lies with the module and changing it will solve the problem. As he didn't have an answer to it, he visited again and made some changes to get the fridge stop making any sound at all, and informed us he has adjusted the sound with sensor. But now, the fridge doesn't even beep when it should in cases like when we leave the door open, etc.

            I had called up on company helpline in august given the trust i had on whirlpool as a brand; however, if the company's engineer would try to fool the customer for his vested interests then it's a matter of great dismay and i feel cheated. At the age of 68 years, i have used several whirlpool products throughout my life but haven't faced such a problem in the past.

            May i please request you to look into the matter personally and confirm if the charges taken by mr. Ashok (Whirlpool certified engineer) are genuine and the services provided by him up to the mark?

              I brought a whirlpool ice magic fridge n within 5 days one night my tiles broke and walls cracked. When mailed to helpdesk they did not help in anyway. We have it switch off after paying rd.13500. We undergoing mental tension as houseowners are blaming us for buying this. We are afraid to switch on fearing something happens. We want justice. How can a company manufacture like this model which radiates heat. We are hardworking middle class people believe in advertisement and meet heavy loss. Our hard earned money is wasted on this. Now we are not able to use nor get back our money. The company does not have a call desk who can help to solve the issue. We plead that we get back the money n will return the fridge

                Bad in after sales service
                Paid for new washing machine to vijay sales pune on 23.12.2018. Agreed to deliver machine on 24.12.2018. Machine arrived on 25.12.2018. It was damaged. Returned immediately. After big fight with vijay sales another machine delivered on 28.12.2018. Installation engineer was supposed to visit on 29.12.2018 at 6pm. Arrived at 7.30 pm. Requested him to wait for 10-15 minutes as guests were arriving. Promised to come in another 30 minutes. Then at 8.30 pm informs that his time is over and he will not attend. After taking money from customer, the manufacturer and dealer are careless. Customer has to be at their mercy.
                I do not recommend whirlpool and vijay sales for any purchases.

                  I have purchased a whirlpool semi-automatic washing machine at chennai.

                  Recently, the drier cable cable failed, and i called the whirlpool customer care. The technician came from tiruvallur service center, and stole the drier cable, and he bypassed the cable contact with a direct connection. He even closed the previous complaint without even informing me.

                  Is this the way of a proper service? Service center: sri vari services, tiruvallur, tamilnadu - 602001

                      I had purchased whirlpool washing machine with much hope and belief in brand value and quality.
                      But after three to four year o[censored]se, it started giving problem.
                      It is generating too much noise in spin cycle. So, I contacted whirlpool customer care.
                      I was informed that, it will be charged 450 INR for inspection only, isn’t it too much for only inspection??
                      But no problem, I agreed to it. One technician visited and he told that bearing is damaged and it will be charged around 6000 INR.
                      I was shocked, what! Bearing cost is around half of the washing machine!!!
                      And how come it got damaged in three to four year of general use, isn’t this is a serious quality issue??
                      I checked with my other friends and colleagues and they strongly suggested against whirlpool washing machine as they have went through this experience.
                      There are some questions in my mind that has to be answer by whirlpool.
                      1.) How come bearing is failing so early and so frequently? Sure, it’s not a quality parts and if so how they are charging approx half of the machine cost?

                      2.) Washing machine prime mover is having 10 year warrantee and part price is only 2000 INR. Isn’t warrantee should be on costly parts and not cheap to replaceable part. If isn’t the case then highlighting 10 years warrantee is only gimmick and fooling the customer.

                      3.) New 6000 INR bearing warrantee is having only three months warrantee. This clearly shows the whirlpool itself has no confidence on its parts. And they are looting the customer by supplying low quality products.

                      I have talked too many in my social circle and it was quite clear that whirlpool is not only supplying cheap quality products but also overcharging the customer for the spare parts which are of equally bad quality.
                      Whirlpool should give proper explanations of the issue raised above. And stop cheating customer.

                      I have given e-mail to whirlpool help desk and even to their MD but no one have even thought of replying to my concern.

                      My simple suggestion is don’t buy whirlpool product, they will last till warrantee period then they will simply loot you. And no one will bother replying you in whirlpool India.

                        Sub : urgent : escalation | whirlpool washing machine | need to change my purchase date to 10th nov, 2018 (From 10th april, 2018)

                        Hi,

                        I had purchased whirlpool washing machine on 10th nov, 2018 (Sr. No : inb[protected] and got it installed and also had a demo on 17th nov, 2018 by whirlpool service center executive (Sr # : gb[protected]). A service request is also logged for the same on dated 16th nov, 2018.

                        But i got surprised when i got a call from whirlpool for the feedback and they informed me that my warranty will be started from 10th of nov, 2018. I immediately connected to customer care and they told me that they cannot change the date of purchase as it can be done from service center. So they had taken a fresh request (Sr# ; gb[protected]) for the same, then an executive from whirlpool service center and taken the snap of the washing machine barcode and also of my purchase receipt. He told be that my date of purchase will be definitely updated within 3 days in their system,. After 3 days, i called the service center and they confirmed me that my date of purchase has been updated from theor system and it is currently made to 10th nov, 2018.

                        Today i just made a call to customer care to just verify it and to my utter surprise once again, they told me that my date of purchase is still 10th april, 2018 and this time also they cannot update it as they don't have the power. They once again told me to connect third time to service center for change in my date of purchase (To be made : 10th nov, 2018). I am currently out of town for 2-3 months otherwise i would have personally gone to your service center and tell them what is this going on? You are making fool of people. We are not not free peoples who will be running behind you for no problem of mine.

                        I request the whirlpool higher authorities to take a look at my case on urgent basis with high priority and update my date of purchase to 10th nov, 2018 in your records (Instead of 10th april, 2018) immediately.

                          Hi,
                          I got issue with my washing machine 3 months ago, the machine is still under warranty. I raised complain and got assurance that technician will visit within a day but no one came. We called the customer care again and re-raised complain but still no technician arrived. We kept calling the customer care and they kept assuring that the issue is escalated and someone will visit soon to fix the issue but its 3 months now and no one ever visited our home to even check the issue.
                          I am now planning to reach bangalore consumer court and request for compensation for the harassment i have faced. If whirlpool still does not take any action now after reading this then i will have no option but to reach consumer court.

                          I have attached the invoice copy with this complain for reference, i am expecting immediate help as its 3 months now and its very frustrating situation for me. Please contact me on '[protected]'.

                            I bought ur so called comprehensive home plan (Amc) for 4720 rs... My plan will over on 20.12.2018... I have replaced my all filters including ro membrane 1.5 months ago... But from yesterday my filter doesn't work properly... For this i called technician and he said, the ro membrane filter has stopped working and i have to replace it for 2400... As per my knowledge the life span of one ro membrane is minimum 1 year... I m living at chandannagar, hooghly where the water quality is descent, tds is 440... My question to you sir is it possible for a middle class family to invest (4720+2400)=7100 in a year for water excluding electricity...??? What kind of products u installed that may stop works only within 45 days??? Kindly tell me... I m so disappointed as your services... Waiting for ur reply...

                              We bought top loading whirlpool fully automatic washing machine in 14/11/2013
                              Bill no:b 9119
                              It worked well for a couple of years as mentioned in the warranty. But from the last month there was a heavy sound in the spin tub while rinsing and spinning.
                              We lodged a complaint in whirlpool customer center they said that two year warranty period was over so inspection charge will be rs 472/-. I accepted it and their person came to our home and checked the machine and confirmed that the sound is due to the bearing problem. And also said barring must be replaced. And said the cost is around rs 5000/- that also comes with only 1 months warranty. On hearing this i was shocked i fell that washing machine of this company will work only for the mentioned warranty year afterwards all problem will occur. Please dont buy whirlpool washing machine.

                                Whirlpool ro is not working i made service request hr [protected] dated 10-11-18, i have talked twice on toll free no during last one month & already submitted complaint on their official site:no action, no call, no response, not a single visit by any technician :i am crushing myself why i purchased whirlpool product.                                   Hi i am hari. I request for service on 29/11/18. Service person came and explain about problems and suggest to change ic board. I pay the amount and he change the new board but he didn’t check it is working or not. He get money for that product and service cost he went. Next day i put washing machine it doesn’t work. I call to that service person and say about problems on 2/12/18. Still now they didn’t respond and still my machine is not repair. Worst service and simply high price billing and worst products. Totally disappointed.

                                    I lodged a complaint with Whirlpool Customer care for repair of PCB and the technician looted me with a bill of 4900 INR.
                                    My company number is : SR Number GB[protected] .
                                    It is a fraud company cheating customers and dealing with fraudulent dealers giving handwritten bills, forcefully replacing instead of repairing and overcharging.

                                    Such pathetic After Sales Service and cheating by the company is totally not acceptable. Everybody is happy passing the buck around to someone else.

                                    I am taking to Social Media and the Top Management unless and until this is sorted out on priority basis.

                                    These companies should stop taking consumers for granted.
                                    I'm sorry to say, but you have actually lost a repeat customer who is extremely well connected.

                                      I raised complaint on nov 27 regarding my washing machine dryer not working. Then mechanic came on december 1. We paid advance of rs.550 and the total billed rs.3550. But the mechanic not fixed and replaced the dryer. He billed for total amt and got the advance of 550 rs.                                         Top-loaded washing machine was purchased on 15.11.18 and was installed on 16.11.2018 vide sr. No. 60699/16.11.18 without rat guard, as the company packed different model rat guard with the machine, which was supplied to me.
                                        As promised by the seller new benco electronices and service agency, on 17.11.2018 technician supposed to install right type of rat guard.in spite of repeated requests to technician and written communication to the company till date no rat guard is fixed by the whilpool.in different attitude by the service center as well as company towards customer.
