My Whirlpool refrigerator was not cooling properly so I called Whirlpool service number given by Just dial.
They send the service person and he checked the refrigerator and told me that the fan motor was jammed and it will cost me ₹2, 850. As I thought he was Whirlpool service person, I agreed for the service.
He replaced the motor in 15 minutes which was brought in a an open box with removed label. He gave me an invoice from 'Expert Repair Service '. I was surprised to see the invoice from a different company than Whirlpool. When I asked he said that they are the service contractors of Whirlpool. First they asked for cash, which I refused. I offered him Paytm, credit card or check. He agreed to accept check bur not for Whirlpool or Expert Repair service but in the name of Ghewar C Parmar!!! I felt little suspicious because I was getting service from Whirlpool, invoice from Expert Repair Service and paying to Ghewar C Parmar!!!
What a wonder scamming network of Whirlpool !!!
Then I called Whirlpool service to find out the cost of fan motor, I talked to the first person Kailas and he gave me the price of ₹1550 with one year warranty. Then I told that person the whole story of this service scam. He promised to call me back in 10 minutes. An another person named Rohit called back and gave me a new price of ₹1750. When I told him the whole story again, he said that service agent charged extra for the one year warranty bur offered me a refund which I refused because I want to expose these service scams by Whirlpool which may help thosands of other innocent customers.

    I bought refrigerator of model number ic305neoroy (midnight bloom) and the refrigerator became useless (no cooling) just after one year.

    My complain is why whirlpool made such product which became useless just within one year and whirlpool company is asking the charges for every parts along with visiting charge.

    Whirlpool is making people of india fraud to sell the product of worth rs 30000/= (thirty thousands+) just for one year.

      My Double door refrigerator (2009 model) got broke down on 23rd November 2016. I called up the customer care on 25th November 2016 and got the complaint registered. Next day technician visited our house to see the issue. After inspection, he told that the WIRING KIT has been damaged by rats and could no longer be repaired. He also told us that this WIRING KIT may not be available in store since this is an old model, so the only way to fix this is to replace it with some TIMER model which will cost us 4500INR with just 3 months warranty.

      My concern is that why they don't have WIRING KIT available in their stores. Doesn't this imply that Whirlpool don't provide any support for their 2009 refrigerator models?
      Secondly why only 3 months warranty even after replacing it with TIMER model. why one would go with company's provided services when they couldn't provide at least 1 year warranty on their services itself. My Registered mobile no is [protected].

      This is really putting Whirlpool and its services in very bad light. Hope my complaint would be resolved at this forum.

      As far whenever we place complaint there is no response by the company costumer service center.         My Whirlpool 450 Lts refrigerator, had undergone a compressor change at the authorized service center in Jan 2016. Somewhere in mid of this year, it stopped cooling while the compressor was running normally. That's when it all started.
        The authorized service engineer diagnosed the fault as module failure, and the same was replaced at a cost of something around Rs.4500/-. The problem persisted, as every week / 10 days, the fridge stopped cooling despite the fact that the compressor was running. A couple of times the engineer came, opened the back of freezer compartment, removed ice accumulations there, with boiling water and solved the problem. A couple of time we were suggested on phone, to simply shut down the fridge, rest it for about 12-15 hours and then start it. This too solved the problem, but it reoccurred after short periods.
        On repeated complaint, for providing a permanent solution, the visiting engineer said " this is happening because of internal electrical wiring fault, the fridge will work only if the light on the front door panel is bypassed, but will have no effect on the work-ability of the gadget, rather we will upgrade the gadget." I had mailed to the company for suggestion on this up-gradation, but did not receive any reply. As this was the only suggested possible solution, otherwise the equipment would not have worked, so I consented and it was done. When the fridge was delivered on 28.07.2016, I paid Rs. 400/- only as up-gradation charges as the company had discounted Rs. 3800/- paid earlier for gadget replacement. This time again the same problem persisted as per earlier pattern, engineer comes, removes the extra ice formed at the back of the freezer compartment, it starts working, or we shut down the equipment overnight and restart it.
        In first week of this month, service engineer declares that the compressor has burnt out due to overheating and has to be replaced with an estimated charge of Rs. 9000/- . Once told that the same is under guaranty, he checked the documents for verification and said it will be replaced free of cost but we have the bear the visiting fee, gas charging and transportation expense. Again consent is given and they transport the fridge to their workshop. Next day I receive a call from the service center that the compressor has been changed and the equipment is working fine. The same may be inspected and once the payment is made it will be transported back. In the meanwhile, again I had approach the SOS team of Whirlpool for a permanent solution to my persisting problem at : [protected]@caretelindia.com and .
        Now to my utter disbelief, I am informed by the SOS team that only a capillary has been changed and not the compressor, but the gadget is working fine and the same may be collected. A good number of mail have been exchanged on this replacement of compressor / capillary issue, as I feel cheated at the hands of the company for experimenting on my gadget as well as extorting money from me on one pretext or other and still failing to deliver results. Anyway on continuous perusal of SOS team, I visited the service center to inspect the fridge on 25.11.2016, I was shocked to observe that the entire USP of the gadget has been done away with, so much so that one cannot even adjust the temperature of the freezer compartment. I fail to understand what type o[censored]p-gradation has been done, for which I have paid? Over and above to this DE-gradation, the metallic body of the fridge has been badly damaged during welding, the inner anti rust coating and the outer powder coating has been burnt out and replaced with brownish black patch. There are few transportation / mishandling scratches also.
        The problem diagnosed intentionally or unintentionally was wrong. There was no need to change the module or upgrade the same later, as these were never defective. If they have diagnosed it right this time, that its a choked capillary fault, but during this process they have transformed my fridge into a cooling almira, from a high end gadget. There was no need to transport the fridge to the workshop for such a small repair, but it was deliberately done to manipulate things. Its the responsibility of the company to provide spares, where else we can find them? The entire episode is on mail, and can be forwarded if required. I want my fridge to be at least restored as per OEM specifications, but the company is adamant on its decision. To press their decision on me, they are not providing me with a standby machine as per company policy, even after repeated requests for the same.
        Sir, if you find my grievance genuine and complaint justified, please insure that my equipment is restored to at least as per OEM specifications. I do not want to carry home a featureless cooling Almira, or preferably, I can go in for exchange with a similar or better model while paying price difference, if any. Thanks

In our state of art manufacturing centers, we take best possible measures to ensure that there is no latent or patent defect in our products and in case of any issue being faced by our esteemed consumers with respect to our products, we seriously investigate and rectify the issue on priority basis.

        In your case also, our service technician lifted the appliance to the workshop and we have already conveyed you that capillary has been replaced in your appliance. Moreover, you have also confirmed us on the recorded call that technician has already informed you regarding the light that will not work as you are operating old appliance.

        However, this would be our final confirmation that capillary has been replaced and appliance is working fine in the workshop.

        Hence, we would request you to kindly make the payment to the service team so they will deliver the appliance at your place.}}

        My reply to SOS team was as pasted below:-

        [[ Just now read your mail, but sorry to say that after waiting for your response for 12 days, today itself I have purchased a Hitachi 489 Lt. fridge from Caroma. As you did not bother to reply to my mail or consider my request for a standby equipment.
        I am attaching the receipt for your record and reference.
        Apart from the standard reply that you are sticking to since long, you have not cared to mentioned what is to be done about the irreparable damage done to the equipment, at the workshop while charring out the so called repairs.
        So I will have to go in for other available options. Thanks ]]

        Further to my above reply to SOS team, few basic questions remain unanswered.

        1. Yours is a ' leading multinational company ' and you assure to ' rectify the fault ' if any. Fine, then in my case why didn't you rectify the fault by replacing the required spares? You rather bypassed not only the light but the entire electronic controls and systems sensors and converted it into a cooling Almira.
        2. I am ' operating old appliance ' bought in 2005. Sir, if you refer to the net, average life of a refrigerator is 13 to 17 years. So mine is well under the suggested limit.
        3. ' We seriously investigate and rectify the issue on priority basis ' Sir, one can very well gauge your priority where reply to a mail takes 12 days, and the equipment is lying at your service center since 07.11.2016.
        4. Despite repeated requests you have not cared to provided a standby fridge.
        5. Apart form the copy and paste reply that you are giving, my concern to the permanent damage (burning of protective internal coatings and outer powder coating) done, to the equipment during this repair operation, has not been addressed at all.

        You only want me to somehow take delivery of the fridge lying at your service center, on as is where is basis, is not a fair business practice. More over not providing a standby equipment and causing excessive delay in handling of the issue has forced me to shell out Rs. 62, 000/- and buy a new refrigerator.
        Of what use now will the one lying with you be, is a big question.

          Hello,
          I have problem of water leakage in my Refrigerator. Actually i have already complaints two times and paid one time RS. 350/-
          And i know very well that this problem is because of water tray is not built properly with this model. This is built in product issue then why i have to pay again for new water tray? I know i am not in warranty, but there is product built in issue and i was out of state from last few month after buying this item so i was unable to find the issue exactly.

          Today i have received call from technician person and he ask me to pay again to replace water tray.
          I am not getting why i have to pay for the tray. When this is product built in issue. Also technician person accepted that this is built in issue for this model on the call.

          So i am requesting you to replace water tray of my refrigerator without paying anything. As i have already paid 350 meaning less. I want to keep my trust on whirlpool product. So please be need full.

          Hello,

          I have already paid for Refrigerator. And there is manufacturing defect in chiller tray. My tray is not damaged. Then why i have to pay again for that. Company launched defected Refrigerator in market. Then why you are asking me to pay again for same. This is your company fault. So must have to replace chiller tray in free of cost. I have already paid RS. 350 for visiting charges.

            Hi Sir,

            I have a double door 310 ltr fridge and got it serviced from Anushree enterprises in the month of April 2016 and they replaced parts such as biometal and Timer. After that also, the fridge never functioned as normal. A very little cooling was maintained. In the middle plate, the cooling was slightly better. Things got spoiled on a regular basis. Due to my travel and hectic routine, i never complained it again but i told the technicians that it is not working as expected. They said no sir it is okay. The prices charged for Biometal and Timer were exhorbitantly high which i want to highlight and complain. I was charged 4100 plus just for these 2 parts...
            Please arrange a call back so that i can explain it in detail.

              The lower door of the frigde has a hinge problem and out of alignment, it tends to stay open if not closed properly. After complaint ldged on 65653196, technician, after paying inspection charges od rs515/-advised, to go for exchange as the hinged part is not available, however, would confirm in two days. After 10 days, same reply discard the fridge/part not available since it is 6 year old. Is there no quality control/inventory to service the fault? My earlier fridge lasted over 20 years.

                I am having a Whirlpool refrigerator which was purchased last year on 08/11/2015. After many complaints and follow up my refrigerator is not repaired till date because spare part is not available. My question is that whirlpool is America's No 1 brand in spite of that they don't have enough spares with their service center at Muzaffarpur and also not available at Patna.
                When will i call to customer care center muzaffarpur they are saying we have send an email regarding replacement of damage part. No updation
                till date and i am facing problem. Please resolve my issue.

                  We had complained regarding whirlpool refrigerator because the fridge was not getting cold and neither there was formation of ice. The mechanic charged us a bomb of Rs.6500 plus 515 for visiting charges for changing heating system and filling gas for cooling. Within 15 days of service (17/10/16) the fridge spoilt further blowing out hot air. Inspite of repeated complaints they have not sent their mechanic again. Seems everyone goes for Namaz 24/7. When they want to earn money on first visit they are ready to come anytime.
                  Pathetic company n pathetic services. Will not buy anything in future from whirlpool.

                  Oh ok further news. A mechanic was sent who said the coil is spoilt n asked for 500 rs. Although we had paid a bomb of Rs 7000 on 17/10/16 for services n the mechanic said there won't be any problem n warranty is for three months. While he was fixing coil, we saw him filling gas again for One hour and our kitchen was covered in black smoke. After that he said compressor is spoilt. Wat a joke!! He spoilt the compressor as it was overheated since he was filling gas. He ruined the refrigerator and it's completely not working now. They r asking 7500 more for compressor which the mechanic spoilt n was not willing to admit. Wat kind of joke is this. Spending 7000 first, coil for 500 n then asking for 7500 for ur fault
                  Who spends so much for just services. Anyone wud buy a new fridge. Just saying this entire team
                  Running Sadguru enterprise by whirlpool is a big cheating racket. Thanks to u whirlpool we now have to live without a fridge till we get another one since ur mechanic ruined the compressor. Our Money 7000 gone in drain.

                    In response to my complaint on oct 17th. the company sent me another fridge of same model after receiving the old one on 31st oct. this one also has the following damages. 1. compressor and the connecting parts seems tobe repaired just before packing.( the paint spilled all over the bottom support pack, photograph 1) 2. inside the fridge the support for second shelf is damaged(photograph 2) 3. inside door of freezer compartment has three dimples and small perforations ( holes) in several places unevenly( photograph3). The same was brought to the notice of the company person i.e. service in-charge ph no.[protected] on 31st itself.also talked to another person by name Raghu [protected]. they sent some technical person by name Ramanjulu ph. no.[protected]. He carefully observed the fridge and took photographs to send it to the company and accepted the manufacturing defect.On 1/11/16 the same was explained to the complaint cell no.[protected]. But till today no action taken. Already I spent Rs. 700 to transport my old fridge to the company stock point address and for transporting the received damaged fridge from transport office godown to my residence. Now I make a final request to he company to replace the fridge with the one in good condition without damages on their own expenditure or to pay me back the cost of the fridge which i bought from the dealer along with the transport charges i paid. Hoping early solution to my complaint.

                    Now, the company is asking me to transport the fridge on my own risk and they will pay through a cheque Rs 26500 (Rs 1000 less to the actual bill amount). Why should i bare the loss and risk for not my fault ? Kindly do justice to my complaint and request.

                            Very bad experience with whirlpool washing machine. we are facing some issues with this washing machine every six months interval from the day it has purchased. and we have raising complaint frequently (you can pull the data from the system if required), and everytime the technicians giving some lame excuses and kept patching it. we have replaced the mother board itself three or four times. spend more than the cost of machine for maintenance alone.
                            It works for 1 or 2 months and again broke down, every time my mom alone struggling and finally this machine is down completely.

                                Machine again starts giving huge abnormal sound.
                                How many times we have to go through this headache. Every time engineer visit, do some rectification and again problem starts within short period of time.
                                Machine is opened and rectified by whirlpool representative 4 to 5 times but problem is not resolving.
                                Pl take some strict action to resolve the issue permanently as we are fed up with this machine sound.
                                what next???????????
                                and how many days whirlpool will take to resolve the issue permanently.

                                Not resolved!!! Problem is there since Aug 2016 and 5 months have passed and every time bread and butter job is done on machine.

                                  I am bikram dey register a complaint for repair my existing refrigerator vide complain no. Kl[protected] dated 24 aug 2016 at 11.33 am. There after visited engineer rahul on 29 aug 2016 vide company service biplab enterprises and claimed for service charge without repairing subject complain and give conformation for repair the above problem with in 72 hrs. But after repeated complain against customer service care i. E. Siliguri service provider with representative from company call mrs. Sangeeta. There was no positive and till now the problem was not solved by this service centre. Now after changing of staff of mrs. Sangeeta (Previous company call service provider) they was claim again for another service charge. Solve the issue and give necessary direction for sleep customer care service.                                   After again complain against Whirlpool service center. Repairing staff visited again with another spare parts which was not fitting in refrigerator. Therefore, staff was told again take some time for said part. I hope it will give enough time for demanding frame for my Whirlpool refrigerator. Once gain please requested Indian Consumer Complaints give some instruction on time duration for complain against any produced repairing like that.

                                    We had purchased an Neo DF 278 refrigerator from Vijay Sales under warranty but since 18th we had problem with the fridge - the entire fridge gets cooled (ice) thus spoiling all the food and vegetables in the process. A person had come on 19th saying that all is fine and the cooling would be even. But the ice formation continues till date. And we are sorry to say that your service is pathetic to the extent that I have been calling them at least 10 times in a day but till date no person has come to our house (5 days). When I call on[protected], though I opt for English I get connected to a hindi speaking person, once I was connected to dealer instead of Complaint, also I had to call again and again because your server was having a problem. After several such calls, only when I insisted that they call back, one Rashmi took my number and called back in a hour only to give me the 7 Star Enterprises number which was again ringing, or switched off, and on one number he told that he was out and hence to continue trying the other numbers. Yesterday they told that since it was Sunday they will try to send a person.
                                    Please tell us that when my fridge is under warranty and barely 4 months old am I supposed to run from one pillar to another? And I was told that Whirlpool service is very good and hence I had purchased it. I would certainly not recommend to anyone Whirlpool henceforth. I need a solution for my fridge and if this problem continues I want a replacement else I will have to take the matter to the next level.
