I bought my phone in September 21st from the website of this company. Unfortunately, it fell down 3 days after it was delivered to me and the screen shattered. I paid 3000 rupees for a new screen, at which time their service center in Begumpet (Hyderabad) also replaced a 'receiver' without charges, based on my assertion that I just bought the phone and never asked me for the proof of purchase - Order ID #[protected]!
A week later, the phone stopped ringing or vibrating when a call came in. I took it again for service and this time they wanted proof that I just bought it. I promised to mail it in and asked them to book the phone. (Job sheet/work order no:[protected] I mailed the proof of purchase to the mail id -xiaomi.begumpet.[protected]@tvs-e.in - they specified within an hour's time.
When I went to collect it, they say I have to pay Rs 1000 to get it - because they booked my phone as 'out of warranty'!!! One of them says - 100% they will not give it - unless I pay. I asked them how they can say it is out of warranty - when I told them I bought it 2 months ago! And, sent the bill too as agreed!
They are just not bothered and saying they will not give me my phone unless I pay!
Having already spent Rs 10000 on this (useless to me) phone which has given me nothing but problems, I am at the end of my tether and regretting this whole purchase very very bitterly! On every visit I tell them the battery does not last even 10 hours and they say it is fine, without verifying anything. They just threaten to reset the phone to factory mode.
