Hello everyone,

I need some educated help in here about test drive vehicles and its insurance in case of accidents.

Last evening, i took a test drive of Yamaha R3 from a showroom near my office. During the test drive, in an unexpected corner, TD bike got skidded and met with an accident. Luckily i jumped out of the vehicle and got away with minor injuries. But the bike took damages in one side fairing, frame and some electronics. When the bike fell down and slided, it rammed on a van which came on the opposite side and made a dent near wheel area of the van.

Yamaha people came to the accident area and asked me if i could pay up for the van's damage expenses if left in a workshop by yamaha people. They also said that if i dont pay for the van's expense, van guy will register a legal complaint on me. I was afraid and i said okay. Then i was taken to the nearby hospital for first aid(for which i paid) and then to the showroom. And that van was taken to workshop.

In showroom, Yamaha guys asked 5000RS from me to spend for the van expenses and also took my original driving license. They said they wont give bill for that amount i paid and said they may get me a bill from that van worshop and give back the change if its less.

They also threatened me that bike's damage expense may go upto 2L at maximum and i have to bear. I almost had a heart attack. Then i asked dont you have insurance for this bike? Cant you get the insurance cost and cover it up? Then they said that they will send the bike for insurance and see how much is coming and rest i have to bear. That sounds okay, but the problem here is, i sincerely doubt that these guys have an insurance. Neither the bike has a number plat nor a demo sticker. It was taken from display and given for test drive. They are doing the same for all R3 test drives.

Initially I went to the showroom in my friends bike, to talk to the finance people and take the test drive. After the accident, When i approached the showroom from first aid hospital, they lifted my friends bike inside their garage. When i came back they took the keys also from me. Now my friends bike is also on jeopardy.

Someone please guide me.

Showroom guys have my Company ID, Original Driving License, My friends new activa bike, helmet, and also my 5k without any bill

Yesterday, I made a complaint to commissioner and took police and my friends and relatives to the showroom. He took photocopy of those documents and gave me back all the documents and my colleague's bike from him.
After everything was given, he was still trying to get money from me. But we declined.
Have already called and reported to mentioned toll free number by 19th October. Also sent a mail with self attested complaint letter to the mail, yesterday.

Please get this issue resolved for me.
@deep_didi did you end up paying for any of the damages?

    Very unprofessional staff. There is issue in button start in my fzs bike. I had reported issue but they ignored it and didnt loomed into that now am not able to start bike within 15 days after servicing. Staff changed air filter amd other stuff and dis servicing within 30 min.

    I called their manager after issue he was talking very unprofessionally. Not only with me this peoples are not behaving well with any customer. This located in semi rural area so people ignore them and goes to local service centers.

      Till i don't have r15 i just love r15 and wanna own of my own. But after i owned my own r15 bike sound so loud r15 is silent bike but not nine. Even clutch is not working properly bike is full of problems not giving the proformance up to the mark my bike is brand new voice was different from every first day but i thought it will be fine after 1st service but is 2 month now bike sound increased and proformance goes down. And the dealer is saying bike is ok every time i visited the showroom manger said bike is good. I showed bike outside they hear they ride my bike they told me bike is not working good it is not feel like new bike bike feel like 5 year old one i put mail to yamaha then again they call to showroom and same they said bike is good but i was not satisfied with bike full of problems then after doing more effort they call me to showroom. Today and said you have to leave bike for 3 day i don't know what they will do with my bike. But new bike with full of problem and the dealership and the customer care just exploit there customer... Friend just wanna advice to i know r15 has a great market but don't go and set your mind that yamaha will provide quality service and quality product...         No good service for my bike not even good service man to speak no good respond on leaving bike to service worst worst da told me to come at 7am but the pason come at 8:30am one half hour I have to waiting n gate these is good service u pord service is not good like how
        V will leave the bike it will b same only water wash will done for thes v have to leave service in your showroom please make sure some good service center or close the center it will good to popple fist tell them to speak popar to customer them speak like wost language

          After almost 2 months of buying my new Ray ZR from Sakshi Motors, Nerul, my bike is still not registered and despite of several complains to the dealer and also the so called customer website of Yamaha India, I find myself in a turmoil of how to end this distress.If the company show the same response like the dealer then whom to approach.It is the responsibility of the company to resolve this issue and if my bike gets stolen then they should be liable.Yamaha has really turned me down despite of my several attempts to reach them and wait for their feedback...but all in vain.

          I have already registered my complain at [protected]@yamaha-motor-india.com and have also received acknowledgement on 10th Oct, 2016 and my compain number is IC-26993-Y1K2.But till date I have received no update regarding my complain.At least I am entitled to know when the end to my distress will be from the company.
          Yamaha India there are lots of customers affected because of Sakshi motors, nerul.Even I had raised complain to Yamaha India but still no response.Its been 7 months still I have not got registration done.Complaint No is IC-32377-Y5J2
          I too cheated by Sakshi Motors, money taken, no RTO registration, then took back vehicle with promise to refund money, which he not returned.
          Despite knowing Sakshi motors cheating customers, from Yamaha no action, still he is authorised dealer. My complaint open with Yamaha from May 17.

            I just bought a yamaha fzs bike from Kings Motors Yamaha, Baner (Pune). They are not at all giving response or satisfaction for any customers. Worst sales and service. Since I bought a bike on Sept 1, still now I've not got all the accessories(like parking cover etc). When I asked for it, they said that things are not available in stock yet.               I wanted to get the choke cable changed of my Yamaha Fazer. I called a couple of weeks ago to the Thane service center (Aims Yamaha) but they told that the part is not available.
              So, I purchased the part from some other Yamaha service center at a different location, but they did not fit it as there was heavy rush on that day.
              Now, being a Thane resident, I went to Thane service center, gave them the part to fit, but they are not ready to touch that.
              As per them, the part is from other Yamaha service center. This is so frustrating as I purchased the part from genuine service center only. And the behaviour and the way they talk is so bad.

              I want to file a strict complaint against this and want them to fit that part as it is now a waste for me.

                    I gave my bike to daiwik motors for servicing and paid rs 9000 as service charge 4 months before. Now the front part shake like anything. And i could not able to ride the bike properly. Front shokubsur portion was not in a proper way nw, for the smooth riding
                    So kindly dnt neglect this type of lienent nature of your staff towards your valuable customer.

                        I prashant yadav from mulund had got my bike serviced at ganesh enterprise (Yamaha service center) vikhroli (W) on 01 oct 2016. When i tested the bike it was working properly but on my way back to home near about after 10 km it suddenly stopped. When i called them to check/pick my bike from my place, they said they will send a person to pick up my bike. But they are now delaying without any reason. Now more than a week has been passed but haven't met any person from their side. Request you to take some action against them as they are not taking my issue on priority and doing some fake promising.

                          Hi, my self vishwas mulik, i was purchased a new brand new bike (Ss125) from the monarch motors plot no-5a, parvati industrial estate, opp adinath society, pune-satara road, pune-9 dated at 21 st may 2015, within a two years bike have issue in speed meter as well as engine block. Today i was visited at the same place they people said if you are servicing outside we are not taking guarantee, warranty condition is that 30000km or 2 yrs which is earlier, please give me the solutions as early as possible...

                            I have completed 3rd service but my handle baar vibration problem still not be solved. again repeated problem comes in a 3 rd time.

                            Second complaint:
                            Rain water dropping in the engine head fully. This is manufacturing fault, need solution for my complaint. i will not able to pay for any additional spares. refer bike picture.

                              The first servicing from Aquad Yamaha Kolkata is not satisfactory. Is this companies policy that in first servicing they don't do anything about engine oil change and chain lube? The major drawback a customer cannot see his bikes during servicing. I found a leak in my rear tire and to prepare the puncture I also told them to see the conditions of breakshoes and the puncture boy asked me did u do your first servicing? I told yes even I did within 20 days of purchase. But the astonishing part that none of my wheels were opened nor the breakshoes cleaned, so it's very embarrassing. My friend just bought an Apache 200 cc just with me he serviced his bike yesterday and he told me that TVs service centre opened both of the wheels and cleaned the breakshoes and polished with grease.May companies service policy differs !

                                Team Yamaha, it has been 8 years since I purchased FZ since then I have been taking service from Venkateshwara Yamaha Service Centre, Ameerpet, Hyderabad.

                                Earlier the staff mechanics were done good job but from past more than a year the service they providing is pathetic. Not at all professional nor properly trained. I have been visiting for service centre avg. 3 times in a year and every time there are lot of new mechanics joined/replaced. Well thats not the issue but every time the service goes worst.

                                Last month mid of August I was told to repair engine due to lower performance and have replaced new bore head, piston and few other parts. They took around 3 days and after while they called me for final delivery, I started to pick-up my bike evening around 7pm they still working on fitting engine parts and I have been waiting for more than 2 hours, as they were in hurry for closing hours, the repair they have done was incomplete. Due to some emergency I had to collect my bike.

                                I did not feel any much difference as earlier. Engine was not smooth, too much of noise from engine, RPM getting increase automatically itself in neutral gear, engine stops and start in milli seconds while driving, first gear is too hard to hit, battery is not charged properly dried in 5 days (fyi, new battery has purchased with the same service centre few months ago and it is still under warranty). Overall the service was pathetic. Even road side mechanics do good job sometimes, but I really wonder having trained by Yamaha why these guys do such service.

                                Yesterday, 29 September 2016 I gave my bike for service, as I was told in the last service that first service cost will be free since the engine repair was done by them. I appreciate that.
                                I told all the problems that are existing after new parts replacement, and till today even after second they could not able to resolve the issue. Infant they are trying to convince me that the bike is perfect. I do not know about other bikes, but I have been driving my FZ since 8 years and I know my bike very well on the way it performs and make noise. I left my bike with them now.

                                I am totally, completely disappointed with their service now and hence writing this complaint. I request Yamaha to look into this issue and resolve as early as possible. Since two days I ended up with just travelling from my work place to service centre twice in a day which is additional costs for me.

                                  I am using yamaha fz-s since 20 february 2015.
                                  It has been not even a year o[censored]sing the bike, tyre of my bike got burst for no reason while on running bike. I may have got killed as it happened.
                                  As if yamaha is a well known company despite that such low quality of tyres have been used in bike.
                                  For that i have visited one of your service centers but no one at least attended my problem for this reason.
                                  The service center which i have visited for the above mentioned problem is vardhman enterprise, near vyas vadi, new wadaj, ahmedabad - 380013.
                                  Sales excutive at above mentioned service center told me that the tyre is coming with 5 years of warranty.
                                  My problem should be looked out immediately and i am expecting that earliest possible way.
                                  Otherwise i have to lodge a complaint in consumer forum.

                                    This is to bring to your kind notice that i own a new fz fi bike. There is always the problem of waiting for the service. If i want to do service for my bike i have to visit the servicing centre 4 or more days before the serving date and i have to enroll for the same. And of course i wait for my turn on the servicing day and this is not the problem. My problem is i have to come for a distance of more than 20 km for enrolling the same. This is very inconvenient for me and i hope you do understand my problem. Moreover, this is the only servicing centre we have at imphal and the dealer (Pakhangba motors-imphal) is not bothered or the yamaha company is not bothered for the same. If this is the thing, then why is your imphal dealer selling more bikes here at imphal. If you can't make the customer happy then what is the purpose of your business. This is my question. For far flung customer like me, your servicing centre should provide a telephone number for enrolling the same by making a simple call but your imphal servicing centre do not provide any number to the customers. Kindly look into the matter and solve such issues at the earliest. Otherwise, please don't allow to sell yamaha bikes at imphal since the servicing could not be provided to the customers in time. And definely this will lead to the decrease in yamaha business here at imphal

                                      I own a version 2 yamaha r15 and it was purchased on 3rd oct 2015.

                                      It’s been over a month now since i have taken my bike, manager at the service center told that there is some issue with the rectifier because of which bike gets off immediately after starting it.

                                      Manager told us that he had ordered the spare part 1 month ago and he had not received any update from yamaha factory.

                                      This issue is continues and it’s not been attended and i am not getting any proper response from the service station nor from the customer care. (panache enterprises in indira nagar, bangalore - 560038)

                                      Same issue has been escalated several times in the feedback call which i received post service and i had not got any solution till date.

                                      I need an immediate solution to fix the issue in my bike and a specified time line for it.

                                      Kindly do not reply with an excuse or an tentative date. (only solution required)

                                      Have already mailed to this mail id ([protected]@yamaha-motor-india.com) and even no proper response received.

                                      The quality of the product is far worst then it is promised and even the customer care service is the same kind.

                                        It's been month I have given my bike to the nearest dealer gujrawala town service center. Somehow there entire showroom got burned now I got news from one of my friend that the entire got burned and my bike also got burned after that I managed to reach showroom bcoz when I heard this news I was in Gurgaon. I reached around 8:30 around met with Bobby and bunny the available manager and insurance taker. Then they assured me that I will get my vehicle bike or my money within month once they will complete there documentation. So I asked him to give me in writing so the same will be work as proof so the has bunny and Bobby has give me writing proof that they gave my new bike or my money back within the committed time. But I have been waiting for long time and I gave my all document to the insurance handler but till date they have not resolved my problem yet. I have to go Gurgaon daily in metro managing myself. How uncomfortable for me to use metro and travel in early morning. Has to walk from house to metro and then after reaching the destination then I have to walk for certain kilometres. I have been struggling with the same problem. I'm not asking them to compensate me over and above just want them to give my genuine amount which is as per policy so I may not face such issues in daily routine job. Please have this close as soon as possible waiting for positive response.
