Dear sir, I would like to highlight that I placed an Order On ZOMATO vide Order Number[protected], Total Amount ₹712.70, Items : 1 x Pizza Fest Starting @ 599 (Save Upto 49%), Ordered on May 03, 2022 at 08:23 PM. The Order delivery period time was committed to be 48 min and the delivery partner of ZOMATO reached near my location but at wrong gate, and called up me. On the Third attempt, i had received his call and spoke to him for 3 min 50 seconds and made him understand that correct gate to reach my door step is just 100mtr away. however, he adamantly, refused to oblige and even on being requested to hand over the order item on gate, refused to do so and self rejected the order citing that the customer did not respond to his phone call and thus as per extent policy of ZOMATO took away full Rs 712 to his credit as compensation. This being prepaid order, the not only hard earned money had been pocketed by the delivery partner of ZOMATO but ethical wait of the satisfactory delivery for last 1 hour and so had been ended up to no avail. Here, it is to be noted that Zomato is committed to ensure delivery to door step address provided. Therefore, having reached near by the location provided does not mean to a delivery partner that he would trespass by jumping over the wall if felt convenient to delivery the order through shortest route. He is very much obliged to enter through allowable gate of a gated community and despite having been instructed so over conversation for 3 min 50 sec, it appears that he has deliberate intention to take away the order value by unfair means of self rejecting the order and submitting to ZOMATO that the customer has been unresponsive to phone. ZOmATo must refund the money to me and take necessary action on such fraudster delivery partners.
