My self chandan mitra a retired ifs officer stationed at hyderabad had booked 8 seats 5a, 5b, 5c, 5d, 5e, 5f and 7e, 7f, for the air india flight ai 776 from bhubaneswar to hyderabad scheduled on 9th of december in favour of mrs aditi das, mrbinoy krishna das, mrs krishna das, mranshuman mitra, mrchandan mitra, mrs nandita mitra, mrsantosh sen and mrs smita sen respectively. The tickets were booked through credit card on3rd of september by paying an amount of ₹1378. Subsequently 2 seats were booked in the name of mr diptiman mitra and dibasha ray for the same flight. The seats were booked in advance to avoid any inconvenience as the passengers at serial no 1to 3 are senior citizens while diptiman mitra and dibasha ray got married on 8th of december and were coming back immediately after marriage. Mr binoy krishna das is 87 years old and mrs krishna das is 78 years old and now walking with support of a walking stick due to operation of a fractured leg.
To my utter surprise, the air india counter person at bhubaneswar allotted the seats 17 a, 20a, 6d, 7d, 4c, 4f, 8e, 8f, and 2 seats to senior most citizens at row no 28. The person at the counter informed that those seats for which i paid and booked have been allotted to others coming from kolkata and nothing could be done.in fact the seats were allocated in scattered manner inspite of booking the seats in same pnr.
This has caused immense inconvenience to me and my family members particularly to the aged and disabled aunt, apart from causing the financial loss to me. The air india may return me the paid amount apart from paying at least an amount of ₹50000/- for the mental agony i and my family members had undergone., within 7 days failing which i will approach the consumer forum for redressing my grievances.

    Hello,

    I have lodged a complaint on 6th december 2019 regarding my broken baggage. The tag no. Is ai919099 (Ai506). The customer service has been very unhelpful in this regard and failed to provide me any resolution. I have called them up a 100 times till today, but to no avail. There is no person who can let me know what the status is. Please help.

      This event took place on 19 december 2019 at 8:17 am at terminal 3, indira gandhi international airport, new delhi.

      I booked air india flight ai 506 from new delhi to bengaluru that departed t3, igia at 9:45 am. I landed in new delhi on 18 december 2019 at 11:30 am after traveling from usa in china southern airlines. About two weeks ago, before i made the booking on air india, my mother spoke with an air india customer service representative in bengaluru to confirm the limit of baggage. She was told that i was allowed to check in all bags free of cost as long as i traveled within 24 hours of my international travel and had a valid boarding pass.

      I had valid boarding pass, traveled within 24 hours and went to the airport at 7:20 am to check in for my flight at 9:45 am. I got my check in spot at 8:17 am. There were multiple staff around, but only three counters were open. I went to the check in counter and checked in one suitcase. My carry on weighed about 12 kg, and my laptop bag weighed around 7 kg because i had two laptops and document folder in it. Since i had only one check in suitcase, i requested the ground staff if i could check in the other suitcase as well and i was ready to show my boarding pass too. The lady said nothing of that sort was allowed and i was not allowed to check in another bag, and i had to pay for the extra 8 kg. This was completely contradictory to what the earlier customer service personnel had mentioned, and was rude that she would not let me inside the flight if i did not pay. I had to fly to bengaluru, and asked her what the cost would be for one kg. She mentioned it would cost rs. 530, and directed me to another person. The other ground staff told me it would cost rs. 670 and directed me to the billing counter. The billing counter staff told me it was rs. 500. I was frustrated and started questioning them for giving me inconsistent information, to which the staff was plain rude and unapologetic.

      During that time, i was approached by two other passengers who faced the similar issue. A lady traveled from san francisco, usa on a star alliance airline and took air india flight from new delhi to bhatinda. Her husband had traveled a few months ago on a similar route and he was allowed to check in his bags in air india free of cost. She had confirmed with the customer service free of cost and hence booked the flight. But she was asked to pay for the extra 40 kg after getting ten different prices from ten different people.

      Another gentleman traveled from stockholm, sweden on air india. He had a connecting flight from delhi to bengaluru on air india and it was under the same pnr. He had a layover of 2.5 hours at new delhi. Although he had checked in the same piece of baggage at stockholm, he was asked to pay for the extra weight.

      I paid rs. 4200 and went to the check in counter. The staff at the counter was extremely rude and was not polite at all while handing over the boarding pass.

      During my flight, i met two passengers who sat next to me. They traveled on air india from san francisco to new delhi and had a connecting flight to bengaluru. They were allowed to check in their bags free of cost.

      It is very disappointing and misleading to customers about this varied information. I would not have booked this flight at all had i known this would be the case. I traveled in air india after nearly ten years, and i had a really bad service. One customer service representative gave one piece of information and the check in staff said something else. Each staff member gave different price for the extra weight of baggage.

      I am extremely disappointed. I would like a reimbursement for the extra money i paid for all the false information i got.

        My brother shri sandipan dutta & his wife srimati singing sikdar dutta, staying at us, had availed the air india flight having the following details:
        Flight details : dl 4920 / 15 dec ai 102 / 15 dec
        Routing : orf / jfk / del

        At delhi, it was identified that the airline had left all luggages at new york and this couple who have come to india for a week to impart lectures at the iit mumbai are in deep trouble as all their daily requirements, clothing and every need for this duration are with the airline. Today its 19th and 3 days are just wasted when the airline team are almost reluctant to provide much details on the luggage whereabouts.

        We could only find a little details (Which is like non-interpretable to the commoners).

        We would like the airline company to compensate the delay and the harassment arising from their entire mis-handling and mis-management.

          Respected sir/madam,
          I am an indian citizen living in australia. I have my property in mohali (Punjab). Every year i visit india.

          I tried to book a ticket online on[protected] on air india website www.airindia.in. this booking was from sydney to delhi on[protected] and from delhi to sydney on[protected] for one adults.

          I made online payment on airindia.in website by my australian gem visa credit card ending *711. The payment of aud$ 1117.28 was immediately deducted from my credit card (Receipt attached). But i did not get any ticket.

          When i contacted air india customer care then they told me that the ticket (Pnr no. Ygktn) failed to generate and the ticket was automatically cancelled (File attached).
          Air india customer care suggested to file an email application to ecommerce for refund.
          I emailed to “[protected]@airindia.in” that my total amount of aud$1117.28 should be immediately refunded to my gem visa credit card as no ticket has been issued to me.

          I got reply from them that air india has not received any payment. But when i called my credit card company they said the amount of aud$ 1117.28 has been credited to air india account on[protected]. An amount of aud$ 33.52 has been also deducted from my as international transaction fee.
          I continuously tried for many day to call ecommerce helpline number +[protected] and +[protected]. But they do not attend any call.

          Please help me to get my money (Aud$ 1117.28 + aud$ 33.52) back.

            My father s m mohsin was coming back from bahrain to new delhi by ai 940 on 14/12/2019. I had already paid the ticket amount (With wheelchair facility on whole journey) on 20/11/19. Booking reference no is hlz5t. The ticket purchased was for patna to bahrain and back. While travelling in delhi air india office did not charge any feees for wheelchair. But on 14/12/19 when he was coming back, airindia in bahrain charged 29.00 bd for wheelchair. Please refund the excess amount charged.

              I had booked my flight from goa to Patna via Mumbai from Goibibo for 15th Dec. But Air India flight no AI684 got delayed for almost one and half hour due to which I missed my next flight GoAir S8585. The respective airlines didn't arrange for my next flight and is not ready to take responsibility yet. I had to book flight all by myself for 16th Dec. I have lost so much of my time and money due to all this. This is serious issue and I want compensation for that from them.

                Dear Sir/Madam,

                On 7 December 2019, I tried to purchase an Air ticket from your website (Air India), using my Credit Card on behalf of my friend (Mr. Nadeem KHAN) who was to travel to Delhi from Paris. I tried one time to pay the amount and then Display shows “Sorry there has been an error with your request (I have attached the screenshot). Then I tried with my friend’s Credit card two times but the same problem occurred. We thought there is a problem with Air India website

                After I tried with another website in France called “Mister fly” (https://www.misterfly.com/) and where we were able to issue the ticket successfully and the Ticket was sent to my e-mail next minute. I have attached that air ticket for your references.

                On Tuesday when I checked my bank account, I noticed that you have deducted EUR 747 and from my friend’s account you have captured the amounts of EUR 1449.46 (747.23+702.23) with extra charges of EUR 41.14 (21.18+19, 96) (Screenshots are attached).

                I wonder how Air India has done these transactions without sending a ticket or notification. Then I called Air India France office. The person, to whom I spoke, was wondered by the incident. She gave this email to send my request to get the money you have captured several times under same person’s (same passenger) name without delivering a single air ticket. My friend and I manage our bank accounts balancing our monthly expenses (electricity bills, loan payments house rental etc). Since this is a big amount for us, we have faced some financial difficulties such as overdraft charges for loan arears.

                I hereby request from you to refund the amounts which you have charged without providing a service (Air tickets).

                  Hello air india,
                  I boarded a flight from amristar to delhi on the 9th dec, flight number: ai 016. See the attached pic for my boarding pass and e-ticket details.
                  My checked-in luggage didn’t come with me as it had a power bank and i was advised it will arrive in amristar on the following day after security discards the power bank from my luggage.

                  The luggage was collected from the amristar airport on the 10th and noticed my braun electric was also taken out.
                  I am not sure why they have take out the shaver. It is worth au$600 and has caused me a grief/inconvenience.
                  Can this be please returned as soon as possible. I can send you delhi address if you are able to deliver locally.

                    I had booked a ticket from bangalore to cochin on 1st august for flight no. Ai587 (Pnr no. Hkqbf) leaving bangalore at 22.00hrs and reaching cochin at 22.55 hrs on 19th dec2019. We are a group of 6 persons booked under the same pnr. All o[censored]s are senior citizens in the age group of 60-72 yrs.

                    Suddenly on 11th dec. Ie after 4 months 10days, i was informed through sms that my flight is cancelled without assigning any reason whatsoever. I talked to your representatives 3/4 times at nos[protected] and[protected] for alternative arrangements to enable us to reach cochin on 19th dec where our hotel booking is already made.
                    We will be reaching bangalore from kolkata at 11.30 hrs and wanted alternative flight thereafter to reach cochin on the same day ie 19th dec.

                    Unfortunately, your people were most unco-operative and without any alternative arrangement we will be suffering heavy financial loss as well as lot of inconvenience.

                    Can we, therefore, request you to kindly interfere in the matter to make alternative arrangement for all 6 o[censored]s to enable us to reach cochin on 19th dec.

                      The ticket was cancelled promptly within 24 hours of booking by the air india customer support agent while on the call with me. He mentioned that the refund will be reflected within few days on my account. I have been calling the usa customer support number and already called 5-6 times already about this and sent multiple emails on [protected]@airindia.in about it with no response.

                      My credit card company is about to charge me interest on the amount and i mentioned this multiple times to the agents on the call with no help. They always say that our department is not responsible for this - which airline customer support cannot process refunds, especially when they cancelled the ticket?

                      Up until now, i have had good experience with air india, but going forward, i am not sure.

                      Please, please process my refund as soon as possible!

                        Sir,
                        This is to bring to your kind attention that Delhi to Mumbai bounded Air India flight AI 863 was delayed first at Delhi airport by 15 min reason stated was Incoming Aircraft carrier arrived late at Delhi, second delay resulting due to landing failure attempt, almost took 30 minutes to land AI 863 again in repeated attempt, reason not stated for landing failure attempt. I am a frequent flyer with Air India and never have experienced such situation that would make me feel jeopardize of my life. This is the first time I have realised risk of landing. Kindly, acknowledge and let me know the actual reason for such failure cause being a frequent flyer I would not risk another time to fly with Air India.

                          I am monalisa mohanty, from bhubaneswar. We had booked air ticket through goibibo from bhubaneswar to shirdi via hyderabad. Ticket was booked on 8th sept 2019, and travel date was 22nd nov 2019. On 22nd nov we (6 people, out of them 3 were senior citizens) traveled from bhubaneswar to hyderabad and there in boarding pass collecting counter we were told the flight was cancelled. There was no prior communication or intimation was sent neither from goibibo nor from air india. While in bhubaneswar airport i had checked in the machine (To checking and get the boarding pass) with the pnr (H81pd) but result was no such record, so enquired in air india counter, they said we would get the boarding pass in hyderabad so it is not able to retrieve. And in hyderabad they said there is no such flight and it was cancelled 2 months back. Anyone can understand the matter of belief and mental agony we would have gone through at that point of time. We checked on alternative and booked ticket immediately from hyderabad airport to aurangabad and decided to take cab from there to shirdi. That time to my surprise i checked goibibo and it still said the flight was on scheduled time i. E 3 pm ist, and it was already 2:45 pm ist. On calling goibibo customer care they said they will check and they were not aware the flight was cancelled. That time we could not reach air india customer care. I called them after i was back from shirdi, i was told that they can’t do anything about it as it’s about an past date and they were not able to find the pnr. Both the customer care played enough of blame game saying, goibibo was responsible for informing and other party said it was air india it’s responsibility. You would understand how difficult (Mental and physical) it would have been travel with senior citizens. Nothing can compensate the physical pain they went through due to road condition from aurangabad to shirdi, but i would request your interference, in the matter to help me recover / compensate my financial loss that i had to incur because of immediate air booking costing rs 57k and cab service from aurangabad to shirdi costing 3.5 k.

                              My complaint has been lodged with you 75 days ago. Yet, i have not received any correspondence from ai about the issue at all. Please help. I was told that i would be hearing from the air line in a few weeks, but now it is almost three months, and not a word has been heard from them. It is really disgraceful, as i had also written to them and got no response. Please help.

                              It's been almost 5 months since I lodged the complaint about theft at the Air India counter when travelling from Delhi to Melbourne. I still have not heard a word about it from Air India. Really disgusted to see how lax Air India is. It is giving our country such a bad name.

                                We booked flights to india and hong kong with air india on 19th april 2019. The total cost of the ticket for two people was gbp 4267 the booking reference was zcy2y.
                                On the 29th october air india cancelled the hong kong delhi sector of this booking, ai317 on 8.12. This was a connecting flight that connected with flight ai161 from delhi to london heathrow on 9.12. T
                                They offered no refund or alternative flight and all the contact numbers they gave me were unobtainable. As they suggested, i contacted ecommerce but they did not reply. When i tried to call the numgber in india i just kept getting further down the queue going from 4 to 8 in the 20 minutes i hung on.
                                It was not until we flew to india and went to the air india office in jodpuhr that we were able to speak to an agent. They said that if we wanted a refund we would have to fly to hong kong. We were not going to do this as they had cancelled our return flight.
                                We consider that this was unreasonable behaviour by a national airline. They took our money but did not provide the conteacted service and it was impossible to contact them unless we went to an office in india. When we did go to the jodpuhr office they told us to go to hong kong for a refund. We live in the uk! We would like a complete refund of the delhi - hong kong, hong kong dehli sector. Please try to reslove this for me.

                                Hi I travelled from delhi to toronto on 2nd December and my seat was not moving back and my screen was not working at all..for 14 hours i was siting in a same position with no light turned off on my screen and the light was direct on my face.
                                My neck is swelled up badly.please take notice of my complaint

                                  I had booked 4 tickets mumbai hong kong along with return tickets.
                                  My return flight was on 3rd november 2019, which was cancelled by air india.
                                  The details are as follows.

                                  Pnr # y4277

                                  It has been 1.5 months but i have still not got my refund. Your call center has no answer to my refund query. I have written earlier to ecommerce but no reply for same. I tried calling you guys but no answer.

                                  I need an answer as to by when and how will i be receiving my own money.
                                  This is absolute harassment of customer

                                      While I was booking my ticket, I paid the amount of Rs.3224 through UPI via Google Pay. Unfortunately the request failed and the ticket didn't get booked, but I still ended up losing my money.
                                      So I went through the entire booking process again and booked my ticket.

                                      I contacted all the given phone numbers under customer care support but none of them work. I also sent an email to [protected]@airindia.in but got no response.

                                      I want my money back as soon as possible.
