Since the day of installation, my airtel wifi is getting frequently disconnected. The customer care/technicians are dragging the issue too much unnecessarily. They promised to send a technician every time they call me, but nobody arrives. It has been about 2 months till now and i still have the problem. Also, they promised on phone that the router they will provide will give wifi to our entire house. But, the radius of the wifi is very limited. Now, they deny their promise about the radius.
The technician that came for service told that "nobody is ready to come to my house to solve the problem because they feel that the problem doesn't exist". 3 of my complaints were wrongly closed with the reason "problem solved" without my consent.. I have paid inr 2415 as an advance for 3 months. I want to claim a compensation of inr 500000 so that no other customer would face this agony in future. At least one person, for every 2 days, has called me about the problem and i spoke to them. Also, i updated them the daily status via mail.
The customer care people say that they are trying to solve the problem but blame my unavailability at home during the weekdays. They have wasted 2 months of time and now ask me to stay home without going to the office. This is ridiculous. There are a lot of other irrational things they have done. I can provide proofs of everything in a meeting.
I have raised a consumer complaint already in http://consumerhelpline.gov.in. but, the airtel agent wrote his explanation as below and closed the complaint.
"customer's complaint regarding poor network coverage and connectivity issue. As checked, partial network coverage area and the best possible network as on date. Feedback taken on low coverage, address noted and forwarded for future planning. Tried to contact the customer on call but there was no response. Customer not contactable. Case closed."
I am surprised to see this reply but am unable to reopen the complaint. I am sure he/she may not have tried to know anything about my problem but are just escaping. I am shocked about how a company can close a consumer complaint in the first place. I have also approached the airtel office and submitted a hand written complaint.
If this complaint is closed by stating any of such lame reasons, i would take to the social/tele/print media and question the reputation of the company by publishing the facts.
Airtel customer support has been notified about the posted complaint.

Updated by Kartel No, your resolution does not work at my end. I received two suggestions from Airtel's side.
1. To shift the place of the router nearer to my bedroom
2. To upgrade my router to a higher version (on my cost).
I do not want to choose option 1 because, I have observed the problem even when my apple iphone is just near the router. So, it doesn't make any difference for me even after the router's position is changed.
I do not want to choose option 2 because, the same router, standing at the same place, has worked pretty well for at least 15 days, until its firmware was changed by a technician.
Furthermore, the technician who checked the router confirmed that Apple devices follow high security protocols. But, the current router does not provide them. Also, he confirmed that he received other complaints that apple phones above iphone 4s are not able to connect to wifi using this router.
Based on all of the above reasons, I can say that the resolutions given by airtel did not work.

There are many problems with mobile signals. We receive very week internet signal or no signal. A new mobile tower is required at my village for good and strong 4g signal. We are facing froblems in chating, browsing, downloading and calling also.
