Sir,
I am having the worst experience of service provided by airtel.

I had a mobile postpaid connection with vodafone #[protected] and was approached to get it ported to airtel and agreed. It was supposed to take 7 days.
It is now 4 week since the process was initiated and since the end of march my service from vodafone is discontinued. However, till date i have not received any service on the airtel sim. I have...

    Airtel is refusing to share with me the incoming call details of my sim (Phone no.[protected]) citing customer privacy. I am the customer and what is the logic here ?
    I am attaching a screenshot of the last communication from Airtel's customer grievance cell based in Guwahati. Kindly notice the kind of English their executive write. I believe these kind of incompetent employees just do not want to work and they harass customers by citing silly excuses.

    Is there any law that prevents a mobile network service provider from sharing the details of incoming calls to a customer's own sim?

      I recharged my DTH on 22 March for one month but it was closed on 12 April 2016 while its due date should be 22 April. I want to complain this matter to you to please give me the information regarding this and I also take this issue to the airtel digital but it was un-listen.         I live in abbaiah reddy layout near kaggadasapura. I applied for a new airtel broadband connection on 01 april 2016.Executive came to me and collected the documents and promised that within 48 hours the technical team will install modem.When he askeid for the money i enquired whether i can remit the money at the time of installation. But he insisted that this is airtel policy and need the payment to register the connection. I received a message on 05 april mentioning the account number and order number.Also stated that within 3 working days i will get a connection. When i called customer care on 06th they said tech team is working on the installation and within 24 hours modem will be installed. On 10th i called the customer care and then they informed me that the network box is full and they cannot give any new connection. If airtel was already aware that they cannot give any new connection in my area then why they keep on advertising in the area about new connection. Everyday i can see new posters with different executive names mentioning that for new airtel broadband connection call them. Now need to wait for 20days for the money to refund. When i called customer care to raise a complaint, they were reluctant to do so. Dont understand why they collected the documents and money even after knowing that new connection is not possible in my area. And no one from airtel informed me about this non availability of the connection until i called the complaint team. ..An april fool by airtel. Now i need to wait for 20days to get back my money.

            I am coming straight to the problem . Today i paid 668 rs with you so called airtel money app to pay my airtel broadband connection.I paid through credit card not via airtel wallet .After the payment made and the same amount deducted from my account the app suddenly went non responsive . I waited for some time . Then restarted the app . While checking recent payment made there was nothing shown there .
            After this happened i tried to reach your customer care (?) to sort this problem. His response was so hilarious that airtel doesn't knew about the transaction done through their app .
            Its not about 668 rs .You are illiterately making your customers mad .If you dont know about transaction done through debit and credit card then there is no need of keeping that in your app.

              [protected] mobile recharged for rs.193/- in online debited from sbi net banking not credited to talktime verification requested and to set right the discrepancies. The recharge has been made on 12th april wednesday. I cannot able to get the recharge till time. The recharge has been made in on line and the money credited to airtell was on net banking. The original author of the recharged number is my son vijayanand of coimbatore. But the process was made by the father and money from fathers account. This is a regular prcess which i do for recharge. But all times it worked well. Hence i request your good self to look into this matter and do the justice by ignoring the mestake occured on both sides while in operation.

                At around 3.pm dated 12/4/2016 I recharged my 3g data pack of Rs449 on this no [protected] from airtel app and the transaction was done through Net Banking and the sum of Rs.449 was detucted from my Bank Account .But sill I have not received that net pack so I would like the concern authority to look forward on this at the earliest as possible and I hopping to recieve the positive response from it.

                  My complain ref.No.Is cbdsm[protected] registered on 12-apr-2016 15:08 .I have complained them that i haven't received any info. From them that only 100 msgs will be free per day as i have sms pack and they charged me 80 rupee from my balance for sms which is free .As they are telling me now that only 100 msgs are free per day but they have not informed me earlier the same.And customer care supervisor reacted very badly too

                    Airtel account - [protected]. Last week, I received a SMS from Airtel that a cancellation request has been placed for my account by me, when I had not done so. I emailed customer care and appellate authority regarding the same and I was told that the cancellation request was raised in error and my services will continue. I also received a call from Airtel's appellate team confirming the same. Then yesterday evening, I received call from Airtel's nodal team to inform me that they will not be able to continue my service because of "technical issues" in my area and terminated my service in less than 12 hours. I got to know from Airtel's technician informally that Airtel has few customers in my area and as a cost-saving exercise, they are terminating connections in my area. If Airtel had cost issues and knew about the termination of services in my area, why did they not bother me with sufficient notice to make alternative arrangements and kept me in the dark. Really pathetic customer care by Airtel.

                      Hi,
                      I have a 4G data connection and a corresponding data pack for my post paid number: [protected].
                      This month, my pack had got exhausted due to high usage and hence I had recharged my phone for Rs.175 for a 2G data to support me for the rest of the days and avoid the huge expense in using a 4G data without a subscription pack.

                      And I was intimated that the following amount was deducted from my account and I was using the internet.
                      But just to my surprise I found out that even though the amount was deducted from my account, yet the recharge was not done and my number was charged for the 4G data without any subscribed data pack.

                      On communicating this I was credited back the 175/-. But a huge bill for the usage of the 4G data without a pack was billed for me, which is like 5 times more than 175/-.

                      If I was willing to pay for the 4G data, then why should I recharge my number for a 2G.

                      Even when the money was deducted from my account, it was not recharged.

                      I could have used a data for Rs.175 for the rest of the days, however to rise up the billing amount I am charged a huge amount for the fault of airtel, as they did not recharge the number even after deducting from my bank account.

                      But however without knowing the full concern, he just hang up without even notifying,

                      And on attempting to all him back, it was just a busy tone that was received.

                        Recently when i shifted my house and i was searching for a good broadband internet provider and based on my previous experience i have selected airtel broadband assuming that service will be very good and fast. But it became a nightmare to get the connection itself from the airtel. Let us see what happened till now.
                        I have applied for a new broadband connection on 30th march 2016. I have paid rs. 1000 online for the installation charges on the same day and sales person mr. Naveen (Mob: ) came and collected the documents and assured me that the connection will be provided within 48 hrs of time. Previous person who is staying in that house also using airtel broadband and the wiring is still inside the house and for new installation work left is only configuring the new connection and providing phone and router. I informed the same thing to the salesperson and he said that technical team will take care of it.
                        After two days there is no callback from anyone and i tried to call salesperson and as expected he didn't answered my call and after multiple tries finally he answered and told me that if it is not done already then it will be done in next 24hrs. I waited till next day and called up customer care. I got the same answer asking me to wait for 24hrs more.

                        Day 1:
                        Real problem started from here. As sunday came in between i called up customer care on monday and as usual they asked me to wait for 24hrs again, but i am not happy with that and asked to escalate the issue to the next level. Customer care executive(Mrs. Anjali) told me that she will get back to me after checking the exact status with the technical team and if it is not done in next 24hrs she will escalate the issue. As said she called me again and told me that some new cabling work is going on and that why it is delayed and will be done by next day.
                        Day 2:
                        As nothing happened i was waiting for the call from mrs. Anjali and she called again on the next day and asked me whether the connection is given or not and i said nothing is done and no call from technical team also. As nothing happened she told me that she is escalating the issue to the next level and i will get a call back soon.
                        Day 3:
                        Next day i called up customer care and i explained the entire situation and requested to inform mrs. Anjali. She called up in the afternoon and told me that my connection is not as the given address is wrong. I have raised the request online and filled the application form online and technical team is saying that my address is wrong. I strongly disagreed with the reason she is telling me but she said she can't help anything in that and she ensured that correct address is updated and connection will be given by next 2days. (I don't whether airtel will update the manually for a online application so that there can be some mistake in the address)
                        Day 4:
                        Got a call from mrs. Anjali saying that new connection is feasible in the address updated and connection will be given next day.
                        Day 5: as usual nothing happened and i was waiting for technical person call back or customer care executive but nothing happened.
                        Day 6: no information from anybody so i called up customer care again and this time one person attended the call and told me that my connection is not feasible and that's why there is no call back and the order is already closed and if required she will take a new request for the connection. I explained the complete situation and then she agreed to escalate the issue and surprisingly she said it is not escalated previously. Then i understood airtel customer care people are giving false information to the customers. She said i will get a call back within 24hrs to update the status.
                        Day 7: sunday
                        Day 8: no call.
                        Day 9 (12th april): again called the customer care to get the status, and executive as usual told me that she is escalating the case and within 48hrs i will get a resolution. I am still waiting when it will get completed.

                        I don't know what is meant by escalating the issue to the next level without providing any solution and i think airtel is having infinite levels to escalate.

                        Shame on airtel advertising that they are number one in india and not able to provide
                        A broadband connection in a city like bangalore and that to where the wiring is already available in the premises.
                        Airtel customer care is also so pathetic that nobody is concerned about the issue and simply keep on bluffing that i am taking the ownership of the issue and it will be resolved within 24hrs. Each person gives a different status of the same request. I think they won't check what is updated in the request also.

                        Technical team is not doing their work and updating silly things for not doing the work on time and their managers are not bothered about what is happening.

                        Even today also issue not resolved by Airtel and customer care people saying the same thing as usual that it will done in next 24 to 48hrs. Mr. Anil Sachdeva saying that they are working to address my concern but I don't see any other update other than copy pasting some generic format message here.
                        Akanksha, you replied on 23rd April that It will take some more time to resolve the issue. Will it take months or years to complete. After this post there is no reply and as mentioned there is no update on the progress also.

                        When I am calling customer care now they are saying that the lead is closed and request needs to be raised again.
                        Sales person is also saying that lead is closed and I need to submit all the documents again and need to raise a new connection request.

                        Looks like airtel wants to maintain their statics (connection will be provided in 48hrs after document submission) by closing the existing request and asking for a new request.

                        When I am requesting for a refund customer care people are asking me the transaction number for refund even though I made the payment online.

                        Stupidity at peeks!!! No value for customer!!!

                            I called into Airtel customer care to make a service complaint. The charges are supposed to be 50 paise for 3 mins. I ended up holding the call for 10 mins without any executive answering the call and I was charged Re. 1 for that. Why do they charge when no one answers the call? They should start charging after someone answers. It is annoying and causes disturbance to me as it happens many time. I want redressal.

                              I am holding a data card (Data card # [protected]) from airtel due to low network coverage placed a cancellation request to airtel, their retention team gave me commitment 10 gb/month for rs 999 from which rs 250 will be refunded for next 9 months and they promised me to rectify the network issue. Hence i accepted to retain the connection but all of sudden they said that plan is not applicable for me so they will give me another plan 10 gb/month for rs 999 from which i will get rs 300 every month for a quarter.

                              This offer will be valid for only 3 months for every quarter i have to send a mail to renew this offer so that i will get this offer as long as i am holding this connection with airtel which was mentioned by their retention team. I had asked them so many times about this offer they promised me that i will get this as long as the connection is active. Hence again i accepted to retain the connection with airtel, when i checked with their customer care they told me that it is not possible and they are not going to activate this plan to me post 3 months.

                              This issue is running for more than a month every time different people will give different commitments but nothing is recorded in my account which made me to question about their trustworthy. When i started to ask the written commitment for this they were step back and didn't give anything in written. Airtel is giving fake commitments to customers and with poor quality of network coverage they are charging premium, their 4g dongle is consuming more data than what is consumed. When these questions raised to their customer cares getting only template responses which is not relevant to the question.

                              Their nodal team, appellate teams are just for eye wash they won't care about customers pain or issues. Complete airtel is trying to cheat and pull money from their customers they are not ready to solve the customers issues. For simple issue i have been waiting for more than 1 month which is still open and all of sudden they disconnected my connection without my confirmation to proceed.

                                Successfully recharge done through airtel app under special offers with RC 186 for 1GB 3G data for 28 days but received only 550MB of data. This is completely unsatisfactory and need attention to be taken and credit the benefit data to my account or refund my money.
