Airtel customer care sucks!

I have a broadband internet connection with a speed of 8 mega bytes with 75gb download limit in the name of Daljit Singh at 28, Sector 7, Urban Estate, Gurgaon; which almost everyday stops working for a few hours. Contacting customer care is met with the prototype responses like:

1. Front end executive tries to do the online resolution, in which he/she invariably fails.

2. He/She tries to connect to the technical department. 50% of the times technical department executive gets connected who tries to do the online resolution and fails again. The rest 50% of the times there is no executive available in the technical department although it is supposed to be a 24x7 service.

3. On failing to do the online resolution, the technical executive comes up with a prototype response of registering a complaint and arranging for a so-called 'visit by the engineer' which never takes place even after 24 hours have passed.

4. In the meantime, after a few hours, the internet connection automatically goes functional without any care taken by any of the Airtel staff.

5. My contention is that the problem (whatever nature it might be of!) is almost always at Airtel's end which they never admit it is and keep us busy with their false resolution attempts and registering complaints with so-called 'arranging a visit by their engineer' (which never actually takes place.

6. It has become almost an everyday story lately.

7. I demand an immediate enquiry into this behavior and its real permanent resolution.

Airtel Broadband — internet speed

my internet speed is much slower than as stated by the service provider,i have already complaint about it on telephone,but there is no response.my connection speed should be about 64 kbps but it is arround 20-33.so please take some action and solve my problem

I have applied for Internet/Broadband connection on 14th June. i was told that i will be getting the connection in 2 days. But till now nothng has happend. Everytime when i called up the sales person is telling that i will be getting the connection in another 2 hrs. BUt nothing has happend. I have also visited the office in kodambakkan and complained, but things are not done.

Now i dont know whom to contact.

Airtel Broadband Internet Connection — Unexpected Bill of Month May (18 April 09 to 17 May 09)

This Month ( May 09) I got very much unexpexted bill of my airtel phone[protected] of Rs. 5000 and above while i am very much calculated user as per my pocket size. i am recieving bills of average Rs. 600 to 700 from last two and half years but this time it is unexpected .

My usage is not as much as it is reflected in current bill . i oppose it strictly. There is some big technical or other mistake that must be correct quickly so i can pay my bill on time as i am doing from the day one of my connection.

My another grievance is that why has airtel not fixed any upper limit and how can they send any amount of bill to anyone while that person is not used actually.

This is mental harrasement for us after observing such kind of bill.

connection — Grievance

This is with reference to an ongoing problem from last 15 days ... repeated requests to Airtel customer care have gone in vain. Every time talking to a new Customer Care Executive and explaining the entire wheel of events and problems is now becoming a tough job for me and is highly intolerable.

The careless behavior and zero response have urged me to write a strong email to you...
It started with my communication with an executive on 26th July, 2222 Hrs when I was assured and was also clarified on certain queries.

After going through further problems, I discussed the similar sets of problems with an executive who then transferred the call to MR. MRINAL VATS - (Reference no. 22211866 and[protected] I was promised that my problems would be rectified in 48 hours.

Nothing Happened!!! I called Airtel yet another time on 1st Aug (Ref No. :[protected] I was again assured by Mrinal that the problem shall be treated with his supervisor, No surprises!! Didn’t get any call from any Airtel Executive.

Called up Airtel again spoken with Mohammad Arif cited all my previous grievances (Ref. No.[protected] NO RESPONSE YET AGAIN!!!

Shamelessly called up again, spoken with Mr Akash Sharma (Ref. No.[protected] no response as of now.

Aah!! Such a pathetic response from a telecom giant of the country, I felt like cheated and find myself amidst a swarm of Frauds. Sorry for using strong adjectives but don’t have a choice either.

I have only quoted reference nos which I am sure, shall make AIRTEL aware of the problems But to other authorities marked in this email I am quoting all my problems and demands below:

My Grievances:

• Didn’t get CUG benefits since I have taken this no as a corporate connection in January ’08.

• I was assured that the STD call rates would be flat Rs. 1 (Mobile and landline).

• All my calls made to another no. +91- [protected] have been charged. (Though twas clubbed in CUG network)

• I was assured by the Customer care regarding my new no. +91-[protected] that it very much lies in the CUG group therefore all call charges would be charged at Rs.0 For initial 500 minutes and 10 Paisa thereafter. But all the call charges to and fro have been charged at Rs 0.50.


My Demands:

• All my STD call made on landline and are charged at Rs 1.50, should cut down to Rs. 1, from the day of activation of this no.

• All my calls made to CUG network should be charged at Rs. 0, from the day of activation of this no.

• All the EXCESS money charged by AIRTEL so far have to be credited to my account or adjusted against future bills.

• All the mental tribulations and tortures caused by AIRTEL should be adjusted against a compensation Rs 50, 000 (Not to mention I have paid a lot of Opportunity cost and Time-cost in chasing AIRTEL )
The internet speed provided to us whn we startes service ws around 15-20kbps(download speed)...but nw its being decreasing day by day remarkably...
Generally nw its being around 5-10kbps...
Nw im really fed up wth dis.
Action shud be taken & a perfect standard for de speed check shud be put up by the concerned authority.

Airtel Broadband Internet Connection — Internet Connection

I have been following up with company officials of changing my plan to the lowest internet plan for the last 5-6 months and they have not yet done it. My usage in 1-2hrs every month or less and they give me a bill of Rs. 1000+ every month. I have paid them every month on promises that they will change the rate plan to the lowest one. They have not done so. Further I have been rquesting that they change my connection from landline to wifi internet. This also after repeated commitments from their side that the same will get done once the payment is made they have not done yetr. Today I found out that they have not even registered my request for the last six months and they are again following up for payment at the higher rate with promises of change after payment. This is causing extreme harassment to me and my wife. I have been forced to shout at the airtel caller and tell him that he can take his instrument aware. Strong action should be taken against such extremely poor services.

I m Shyam from Chennai.

I m also facing the similar problem......this is my account no :14755224 I had 256 kbps unlimited plan , then i thought the speed is not enough and it was useless , so I increased my speed to 512 kbps unlimited plan with monthly bill around 990+ including VAT , but my internet speed never touched to 512 kbps , whenevr i check the internet speed.... it will be around 60 to 100 kbps (download speed) , its better to go for other brand than AIRTEL. they are just aiming for money not customer satisfaction.

Airtel Broadband — Speed of Internet

Hi,

I am a Airtel Broadband User. My account detail[protected]Landline cum broadband connection No.[protected]. Since me and my wife are working in the IT and ITES domain both o[censored]s have to constantly download applications which are 2GB to 3GB in size and take a lot of time and space to download. So we constantly have to work from time to time whenever required. These softwares are licensed softwares from IBM and Oracle and require specific user specified credentials to access them. Once accessed they need to be downloaded from the url link into the local hard drives for further use.

My wife and I sit tirelessly thorugh sleepless nights to atleast get some part of it downloaded due to poor internet speeds of max 30 kbps in the night, post 10pm. Though yesterday night 10th Aug, my wife had coinidentally seen 249kbps which is a total rarity. The speeds promised on paper by the Airtel People are more then 256kbps. When I call them up they have some weird calculation which is 30kbps x 8(no idea about how they come to 8 as a figure) = 240 kbps as said by them, which sounds a bit hard to believe. Our work gets severly affected and since we live in West Delhi, we had to travel so much(140km up and down) to our offices at Greater Noida to get the work done which is somewhat impossible sometimes.

I HAD REQUESTED ONE OF MY FRIEND TO SUGGEST SOME INTERNET PLAN FOR MY HOUSE HOLD USAGE,HE SUGGESTED ME FOR AIRTEL...I REACHED TO SOME ADD AND GOT NUMBER OF A EXECUTIVE ,WHO TOOK MY NUMBER N ADDRESS TO CONFIRM THE SERVICES N CONDITIONS,HE CAME WITH THE MODEM N CONNECTED IT ON THE SPOT,I CALLED TO THE CALLCENTER OF THE AIRTEL BROAD BAND N CONFIRMED ABOUT THE CONNECTION ,THEY SAID THAT IT WAS A SHIFTING CONNECTION N HAS A DUE OF 2689RS ON THE SAME TIME I SAID THE EXECUTIVE TO TAKE BACK ALL THE THINGS AND HE TOOK IT BACK!!!!
AFTER A WEEK I STARTED GETTING CALLS TO PAY THE BILL,AS I HAVE NOT EVEN GIVEN MY ADDRESS PROOF NOR ID PROOF.THEY STARTED COURUERING ME THE BILLS..AND EVEN SENDING SOME NOTICES!!!RECENTLY I GOT A CALL SAYING THAT HE IS CALLING FROM DEHLI MR.SANDEEP SINGH N HE SPOKE I A HARS MANNER ABOUT THE BILL!

Airtel Broadband — Airtel BroadBand Complaint

Hi,
I would like to understand from Airtel that why I have been receiving different
resolutions everytime whenever I recieved any communication from airtel
executives, some says WiFi will be replaced or repaired without any extra
charges and some says it could not be. And now after more than 1.5 months, you
are confirming it could not be replaced. I've been suffering with almost no
internet connection as it is very difficult for mr to connect without WiFi. And
if I am ready to bear the cost of equipment then I would not be paying for
airtel broadband bill for 1.5 months, as already communicated to airtel while
making service / cancellation request.
I've been using airtel services from almost 5 years and if you would really
like to retain your so old customers then you should atleast waive-off bill
amount of that duration (~1.5 months) otherwise consider this mail as
confirmation to the cancellation request as made in the month of April.

Until now the payment is not debitted from my account.

AirTel — Internet and BroadBand

My name is Apurv Tiwari . I am a finance executive by profession and currently staying at Noida Sector 32.I had applied for Internet/Broadband connection about 3 weeks ago,I already submitted Rs 2000 in advance.Airtel people told me that internet connection and all the formalities would be done within one week.But now whenever,I contact them either nobody picks my call or if i try by different number they pick the call and start giving lame excuses that technician is on the way,or it would be done tomorrow.I tried contacting Senior person,he talks very rudely and doesnt feels his duty and responsibility for his customers.Already 3 weeks have been passed, but nothing had been done yet.I am really pissed off by the behaviour,my money is gone and they are not paying any attention towards it,not even they are ready to give my money back.
I cannot expect such kind of ameateur behaviour with the Airtel company and its people.
As a last option I came to consumer forum,may be you can help me in getting my things done!!

AirTel — Customer care connection

Hi all.
I am sharing my worst experience with airtel. When i am having some queries and complaints about airtel services, i call sutomer care and get cleared (only few times). But after some time, they are voluntarily blocked my number from contacting customer care. An international firm having such a cheap character. SHAME on u Airtel.
Bye Bye Airtel. I will be feeling good from now on.

I am no longer with airtel. I had contacted enough number of times regarding different issues. Everytime i have to come behind U. Its like I am paying money to U and i m begging. Does it look nice?? Losing me doesnt going to cost u. Atleast be good to the existing customers.

    we need to pay every month 30 rs to renew caller tune. but its really very much irritation. we want to pay one time caller tune charges please activate to my caller tune for a One Year - One time Charges.

    so my all other friends are asking this same 1 year plan. but airtel stop 1 year plan - airtel did very bad to stop this one year plan-caller tune.

    AirTel — caller tune charges

    I recieved a call to activate the caller tune, i remembered that i had disconnected the call without any response, but they activated the callertune service on my mobile no +91-[protected]. when i speak to customer care representative he said that we can not refund the deducted amout. why i have to pay for their mistake.its my necessary no. so that i cant close the same but decided to change it as soosn as possible. and the worst service i ever have with airtel prepaid connection.

      I tried to recharge online my airtel no. [protected] on 02/08/2013 at 1:10 pm with Rs.148 from airtel website through SBI online banking for internet pack(500MB on 3G + 500 MB on 2G ). It showed recharge successful on airtel website (txn ID[protected] but i didnot recieve the internet data. I called custoner care, they didnot solve my problem.. Kindly see to that my amount is returned or my number recharged.

        The info contained in the mentioned url is outdated !
        It mentions that Modems supplied by Airtel are incompatible with Linux,I use Airtel Broadband with modem model no:Beetel 450TC2,And I can browse and download files using Fedora 19/Ubuntu 13.04.I am unaware i[censored]buntu 10.10 , Fedora 12 and lower versions support browsing,Please verify it.

        Both Windows and Linux(Fedora,Ubuntu etc) are vulnerable to malware,I use Ubuntu 13.04 ,I run my laptop on a live-cd ,which is not possible using Windows 7/XP/8 without paying an additional amount.Moreover Windows 7 which i have used gets easily infected by malware probably because it is a favorite target of hackers.

        No web-master's email ID has been mentioned on the Airtel.in website to contact the website administrator,The email-id can be affliated to gmail/yahoo/etc not necessary airtel.in .
        The Airtel customer care are also non co-operative and very slow so i prefer to use this forum.
        There are a number of spelling mistakes on the very same web page mentioned above,I suspect a malware attack or negligence of Airtel team responsible for saving the content of the website.
        Large number of people use Windows 7 OS because they are not aware of Linux based OS such as Fedora and Ubuntu which cost nothing.If Airtel itself provides fully customized DVDs of Fedora/Ubuntu for different categories of students,I will be very grateful.

        Please take the necessary action.

        Airtel Broadband — Difficulties in contacting company

        I am an Airtel customer in both Pune and Delhi. I have maintained my broad band connection in Pune though I have moved to Delhi for the last several months. I now wish to discontinue the account as my visits to Pune have become infrequent.

        The Airtel website is most unhelpful in reaching them in this regard. So is their 121 service in Delhi, which has not been able to connect me to their Pune service.

        Their website does not have a link to lodge complaints and queries. The section which says 'Reach Airtel' has a drop down menu to indicate our location, but does not offer any options and keeps looping around.

        I will appreciate someone from Airtel contacting me to resolve this issue urgently as I am needlessly paying for services I am not using.

        airtel-website — wrong information

        In the airtel website they provide information regarding online payments. They provide it as all visa and master cards accepted. But when i called them they said only ICICI cards are accepted.

        Broadband — Wrong information over the customer care

        This is to complain against BHARTI AIRTEL BROADBAND chennai. On late 20s of november 2009, I called up customer care to ask whether surfing or watching videos on the youtube is chargeable or not as i had limited downloads since i was in a confusion on the same. Their reply was that they do not charge for the same.(They have an internal recording for the same). Believing their reply, i watched videos on youtube. Now, at the end of that month, they've charged me for all the surfing. I had complained about it to them, but denied any such wrong response. Also they are denying to provide me with that recording. Now I want to raise a complaint against them in consumer court. What should i do?

        Airtel India — wrong information on website

        I get recharged my no Airtel no. [protected] with Rsx. 98/- for internet plan.It was assured to get 2 GB usage for this Link on Airtel website

            I have taken a new Airtel connection in Kanpur. My number is [protected]. There are a few problems i am facing from the very first day. My number is fully activated and i am able to make outgoing calls. But many people are not able to call me.I have found that specially people from Mumbai are not able to call me while i am receiving calls from other people. When people from Mumbai are calling they are receiving the message that "The service to this number is temporarily not available" though my number is fully active. I am at a loss of what to do. Please look after.
            Also another problem is that after i am disconnecting the call it is not showing me the amount deducted for the last call. I don't know why is it so. Please look after this also.

            AirTel — Airtel Connection problem

            We "Hi-Rise Gated Community" colony is facing with an acute problem with respect to Airtel connectivity. We, the colony people, shifted this locality one and half year back and since then we are facing "ZERO" Airtel signal. That means once we are reaching to our homes, we are disconnected to others as most of them having airtel connection and do not even have landline facility (as the colony is band new). We lodged many complaints and each time we do this, Airtel customer service come up saying that this problem will be resolved in few day (7-15 days). But so far it never happened. We are almost lost confidence in Airtel Service and thinking of shifting to other service for betterment.

            I do agree... Even now we dont have signals inside the house at Nizampet (Balaji Nagar). All other providers have the signals fully. All the members of the family using Airtel. We are puished now

            i have applied for an airtel mobile service through entrepreneurship development institute of india and i have submitted the registeration documents and the sin card is not working . They keep telling it will work today at 9 pm. I dont understand why it is not working

            I want to purchase an new airtel prepaid connection for my clients coming from UK , I have been to the airtel shop in nehru place and given them a colored copy of my license , they said that the copy is not clear , after that i gave him the colored copy of pan card , now they said please give your passport . the fat guy sitting in the store dont have manners how to talk to customers . there are 3 airtel users in my family and 6 vodafone , my all office landlines are airtel .i always suggested people to take airtel coz of its network .
            change a logo of your company doesnt leads to betterment in future , its how u make your customers happy
            Now i have heared there are schemes that you can change your airtel nos into any other , i will prefer vodafone coz they give better customer satisfaction .

            Just train your staff first how to deal with customers.

            I am a customer since more than ten years. Everything was working fine till last week 5th.December:2015 the connection is very much disturbed. My home screen shows "Emergency Calls only", and every time I have to switch on and off my phone before it starts working again. I am unable to receive calls and messages sent are being delayed both ways. This started just after Airtel provided me with a new 4G SIM all on their own.
            Are you listening? What is the problem? Before even during my trip abroad I had no problems. If this continues I'll switch over to any other service provider.

              airtel is a very very veryyyyyyyyyyyy froud company, and very cheap and bad service , i had purchase airtel 3G data card 850/month 5GB unlimited , this data card is not worked in home, basement or any palace , i don't get to use airtel datacard it work only on tarris , we had more complaint to customer care but they don't resolve my problem after that we had close our data card so airtel company have sent 2400rs bill of 1 month. so i am suggesting to anyone person please don't take any services of airtel like - Datacard, Mobile Sim, DTH Connection.

              and www.airtel.in website is very poor website user can't understand how to do recharge and how to will login. user will be mad to see the airtel website .

              and i am also suggesting to airtel company please improve your network and improve your website , please make your website user friendly , you can refrence to idea company website , it is very user friendly website.

              AirTel — Is AIRTEL SERVICE REALLY THAT BAD???

              I have an airtel mobile with prepaid connection.
              On 2nd of April I recharged it with all india 1rs STD scheme in order to activate 1 rs STD .
              However my STD calls were still being charged at older tarrif and when i contacted cusomer care they told me that a scheme bol bol is already activated "I don't have an idea why it is activated "that's why new scheme is not effective.After deactivating that bol bol scheme they told me that my scheme will get effective within 24 hrs .
              However even next day it was not activated.When I called cusomer care they said there was a technical problem it would get effective within 24 hrs.

              airtel data card — Pathetic Service

              I applied for an Airtel Data Card on 17th April 2008 (Serial No. B421691). Since the day I've recieved the connection, it has been nothing but harassment from Airtel. The connection is almost always disconnected and after several calls pleading them to fix the problem, nothing was done for the whole month for which I had paid the money in advance.

              After a month of mental torture and losses due to the company's lack of responsibility, their executives (Mr. Menon, Ms. Abha Gupta, Ms. Swati) stopped answering my calls. A mail to the nodal officer Mr. Ravi Nagpal was to no avail and I'm still stuck with the pathetic connection.

              I want to throw the data card back on Airtel's face and want my money back immediately! At the same time, I need remuneration for the trouble caused to me by Airtel.

              Hi,
              Am using Airtel number since 2005. Every month am getting the bills thru my mail ID only. Last month i didn't recd my bill for Oct'08, so i calld up customer care 121 & requested my bill to make the payment. the same has been requested 10 days back. till i didn't recd the bill. My Request # is 4844978 &[protected]. Again i cal'd them and requested my bill copy bcos am getting calls from Airtel for payment. But they are not responding & behaving correctly. Am having 8 Airtel numbers, but now am planning to cancel all the numbers bcos of worst service which thy are doing now a days.
              Air tel Services is very very poor. I have been debited for various VAS Service which I have not subscribed. On protesting, the call centre some amount is refunded and for balance am told have to again complaint. THEY ARE ON THEIR OWN FORCIBLY SUBSCRIBING AND if people do not bother to check, the money is in their kitty. Then we have to keep fighting with them for recrediting the amount. Not only that, while on one hand they recredit after lots of messages/followups over phone which costs time and money, again I have been subscribed, again on their own. This has been happening for the last 3 days - I keep complaining that I have not opted for the service, they keep recrediting, and then again subscribe. The call center operator tells I will not receive again and this keeps happening in a vicious circle. They will take all the addressess etc. but everytime you call up it is different people and first you have to waste time in verification, then the process begins again.

              I think we should form a common forum to take on this beligerent co. If anyone has the email id of their MD or top brasses, let me know and then we all can together flood him with mails. I think this should be done to ensure that their MD is aware of the problems we are facing. Even phone should do, but it should be on mass scale so that he feels the impact of the problems we are facing.

              airtel/data card — extremely bad service

              I use internet via airtel data card,the sim on which internet is active has number [protected].
              I am using it since almost last 11 months,and despite of complaining frequently I did never got speed more than 25 kbps and that too at the rarest occassions.most of the time I have to fight with my system for internet,because the data transaction speed remains 0 to 2-3 kbps.
              It made me feel like using internet in stone age.
              and adding salt to it is that since last one and half months I had not been able to merely view any webpage through my data card.
              the terms and conditions were that I have to recharge 498 rupees per month in order to be connected to internet,validity given is 1 month and talktime 0 INR.They told me internet on data card doesn't runs on a lifetime number.
              I have never recharge anything other than 498 recharge per month and they themselves had extended my validity till 11th april 2012.............why????????I dont know.
              But I just know that Airtel cheated with me.........and I can not use internet on my card.
              I complained about it,and the customer care feels sorry and give a new timeline everytime................The big question is that why aren't they giving me a solution.
              by 22nd sep 2009(recent timeline given by the responsibles of airtel),if my problem will not be solved,I am going to file a complaint against them in the consumer forum.

              And I hope I am not going to thank airtel anytime,coz They made me suffer a lot,and I am sure they are not going to give me better speed if they come up with a solution too............

              i ve called up many times tat i am not able to call customer care from my number [protected](tamil nadu) to customer care from my number,a TL named selva kumar answered and said we cant do anything for tat even though i am telling tat i am calling from other network and i am getting charged for that cal,this how the customer service from airtel is very poor,pls anyone who think to take airtel service pls,dont go to airtel instead go to some other networks really those guys provide atleast response to you so i suggest all not to go to airtel.
              I have faced problems very similar to yours. Let me know if we can all join together and file a class action legal suit against Airtel.

                Since last two month I have got new CUG plan from airtel.
                Problem---1)Due to new CUG plan airtel has chagned the account number without informing to customer.

                Hi, Just now I got a call from your technical team and they are asking me to share my login id and password.Please be informed that this is a security breach and they cannot ask for that to solve any technical issue.However, issue is not specific to my online account.Even if I call customer care they are unable to share my balance details as system is unable to process.If I send SMS BAL to 54325 the also I get same reply.So it's purely system issue where balance info is not getting updated in backend for my ID.Why don't they cross check with back end team first to verify the root cause.Even if I don't have online account there should be a provision to get balance details.Please educate your team about the issue first and tell them to fix at system level.However, I agreed to share screenshot of my account page when I am logging in to online account.Please share the details with team.For further clarification call me at [protected]

                    I would like to bring it into everyones notice that after I got my Airtel Prepaid changed to Airtel Postpaid (Mobile no-[protected]) I had faced the worst experience ever. I have lots of messages to send so I told them that I need Local and STD power packs so that I dont get charged for individual messages. The same was done but only for local but my maximum messages are STD. When I got the First months bill I was shocked to see the overcharge due to the messages so I called up airtel and told them that the STD Booster is still not activated , I Got heavily charged but still I paid the entire bill though it was Airtel's fault. The Second Month I got heavily Charged again. I went to the nearest store and they said pick up the House Phone and speak to the customer service people, they'll help. Nothing happened , then after I yelled at everyone at the store the same was activated.
                    I told them that if they do not rectify the bill I will surrender this Connection and make no payment. I even emailed them the same.Nothing was done again I surrendered the connection and shifted to Vodaphone using which I am happy. To make my life unhappy Mr. Padmanabhan from Airtel sends me email and tells me to pay the bill, and the best part is that he does not know what my complaint is. He did not even bother to rectify the bill ane resend it to me.Yesterday, the 2nd of August a lady calls me from this no-[protected] and tells me to pay the bill, she tells me that I have made the calls so I have to pay.When I asked that do you know my complaint she tells me to 'Shut up'. This is how Airtel works. I will not make any additional payments for Airtel's Mistake. They have been harrasing me. I need Justice!!

                    AirTel — no solution to complaints

                    I got a call from airtel on 4th of march 2008 that i will be getting full talk time on any topup or recharge if i will recharge before 10th of march 2008 i have done for 4 topup but i havent got full balance in any of them i have called the customer care many time but there was no response against my solution

                    Nothing is solved as yet. I also have sent you the email but I thing the email address entered was wrong. Let me tell you that Mr.Srinivasan: Mobile: [protected]; Landline no : [protected] is a very unprofessional person. I check my personal emails only at night so I called him at 2:00am after I saw another of his warning emails. He says 'Is this the time to call' and hungs down the call. This is how he deals with Airtel's customer.
                    If Srinivasan is sleeping it does not mean the whole world will also sleep. He should shut down his mobile and dream.

                    I am also irritated by airtels service i have surrendered my airtel no. in august

                      hello sir i am kamal saha from barpeta road assam i own the airtel prepaid mobile number [protected] of assam circle. On ist august 2013 i was browsing mobile office internet on my mobile phone but i browsed the net at about 9.45 pm for a maximum of 300kb as i was only seeing some information on google but the airtel had deducted a total balance of 131 INR from my main balance account,when i called at the customer care they are saying that i had browsed the net for about 10mb and so they had deducted the above said amount.In no way it was possible that i browsed the net for 10mb as i had only browsed for about 300kb and after that the pages did not load and it said that the connection can not be made due to network problem, then suddenly a message came that i had used some 12mb of net and 130 INR was deducted from my main balance.In no case i had used 12mb of net but i dont know how their system is showing that i had used it.I am sure that there was definitely some problem with their system or network for which they had deducted 130 INR from my main balance. pls help me in this regard.

                      AirTel — deduction on my Account Balance.

                      Some day before i have purchased a Airtel No. [protected] next day my mobile had Activated, After some time i received a MSG (Jokes), then i contact to 121 and say that i m not subscribe any services but i receive jokes MSG.

                      After a week i recharge a mobile Rs.25 then Switch off mobile, i m opening a mobile on 18th May, 08 i found that my balance is Rs.1.26. i contact to 121 and say for a complaint, my reference is no.[protected].

                      but no action has been done.

                      AirTel — Unnecessary Deduction from Prepaid mobile Balance

                      I am having Airtel Prepaid connection. On 01.08.2008 I have received message stating that my account was debited with Rs. 7 and Rs.7 for renewal of miscellaneous which I never used. I tried to contact to customer care. But it was continuously showing as "Number not in Use", this is the most ridiculous part as this was a situation for customer care No, then you can easily guess what will be condition of other no. At last with continuous efforts of 2 hours I managed to contact to customer care execuitive. But he refused to take complaint stating that data is not updated in the system.
                      I had enquired about any email address. He told me address as [protected]@airtel.in which was not a valid address. Somehow I managed to send email on [protected]@airtelindia.com on 01.08.2008. I got auto response about confirmation of recipt and promise of reply within 24 Hours. But till today I have not received any communication from Airtel. On 03.08.2008 I have received one more message about deduction of Rs. 7/- for the same reason.

                      Airtel Mobile — Unnecessary deductions

                      My son and parents use an airtel prepaid connection on an old nokia 1100 type of mobile phones, since a couple of months it has been observed that their is a sudden deduction in the available balance against job alert services, hello tune services, VAS downloads, etc. When I contacted the airtel customer care dept, none of the customer care associate responded in a proper way, the associates simply transferred the call to their superiors and most of the time the superiors (sr. supervisors and sr. managers) themselves cut-off the phone because they could not give any clarifications against the deductions. They have deducted Rs 120/- against VAS downloads, VAS download requires GPRS activated and we have not activated GPRS on any of our phones then how is it possible, my son is a school going kid and my parents are old above 70 yrs of age, its common sense that none of them will opt for job alert or any kind of services.

                      After calling the customer care for several times they have refund partial amount, but after 5 to 6 days they again deduct the amount giving any fake reasons.

                      The customer care associates are not ready to register the complaint nor they provide any reference.
                      These facts of airtel should be escalated publically and everyone should change the service providers to other than airtel.

                      Airtel Mobile Phone — deduction of unnecessary payment

                      Sir,

                      My mobile phone no. is [protected]. Since last 3/4 months Airtel is deducting Rs.0.30 frequently showing a message last call charges, even when my phone is in my pocket or on my table. I can not understand why Airtel is deducting this amount, when I am not making any calls.

                      Iam having offer msgs of 4500 and its last expiry date is march 5th but if i send an sms today the amount is deducting from main balance, this is very serious please do it asap.
                      this happnd to me too nw. i called the customer care n they r telling that only 100msgs per day is free in any sms pack plan in Maharashtra Airtel Service. Im using 67rs sms pack which has 15000 sms (local+National) free per month. so a sum of 500 msgs per day. But if i send a msg now it costs me 1.5rupees from main balance of the account. This is a serious issue because they are showing bogus plans by activating the 100msg per day across MH&Goa. Pls solve this issue.

                      Air Tel has been activating unwanted non sense services on my mobile and charging for it. the modus operandi is that you receive promotional SMS, you open it and the service is activated. you may also receive a promotional call, you receive it and the service is activated.
                      now i have started sending very strongly worded mails to them, i even threaten them that in case the service is not discontinued, i shall go to consumer court. every time i had sent such a mail, the service was discontinued and the amount credited to my account.

                      My airtel Mob No [protected] on the name of "Krishna Kataraki" has been using the service of airtel from may 2011. Now i am getting disturbence by unnecessary deduction of my balance amount without any intimation. They are deducting the asmount for hello tunes and other services where as i never subscribe the services of my own. I have already reported to customer care and one time they solved the solution but again the same is contionuing and deducting the bal amount .

                      Kindly Check these thing from May 2011 to sep 2011 so that i can acquire the balance from the services which i never subscribe and also inform never to be disturb like this

                      This complaint is regarding with reference to my mobile no [protected].My balance have been deducted by airtel for no reason.Inspite of calling customer care there is no response as they dont have clarification for the deducted amount.I m helpless in the middle of night with no balance to call or sms.

                        Mobile compnay is forcing users to take their value addewd services. We got SMS stating that you will receive Cricket alerts and if you dont want this service call us to cancel. If by any chance consumer misses this SMS, he will start getting these unsolicited messages and also will get charged.

                        Mobile company can ask consumer whether he / she wants services but can not activate it automatically and ask consumer to get it cancel. Its indirect way of makinga forced revenue. A selection of value added services should be "demanded" by consumer and can not be automatic.

                            I have Airtel postpaid number [protected]. I activated internet pack of Rs 100 per month on my number but I was not able to use it as internet was not enabled at server for my connection as reported by customer care, though internet pack of Rs 100 was activated on my mobile and Airtel was charging this money in invoice of my number. I called customer care several time and they suggested to change internet pack to Rs 125 per month, which I did but nothing happened. When is send "MO" to 54321, I get reply message as "Dear Customer the service is currently not enabled for your phone, please call 12118 for more details.". I, several times, reinstalled internet setting as instructed by customer care tech support. I called 12118, they said a request is generated for rectification but nothing happened. For more than 3 months, I am paying Airtel in my bill for internet pack for service which are not fully activated on my number. Since I need to frequently check my mails, I have been suffering sadly on account of Airtel. I decided to change my service provider to Idea and applied for Number port three times but Airtel has denied it every times to new service providing company (idea). I never want to take Airtel number in my life again and I earthly want to change my service provider. Please help.

                            i am very disappointed from the internet service of airtel, whenever i call to customercare centre they always told me that you will get a downloading speed of 30-40 kbps, but instead of this i always get a speed max up to 3-4kbps.

                            i have paid the registration fee on 25th of january but still i dont get any connection of internet in my home.

                            I had changed my simcard from prepaid to postpaid on 9th august. During my interaction with airtel executive, he promised me immediate resumption of postpaid services after closure of prepaid services. But it has been two days since than my postpaid services are not resumed. Hence, I am victim of bad services of the company. Now, their executive are giving wague answers and false promises.

                            I have been charged 50 Rs by Airtel for services I had not activated or even used. I used to get missed calls from a certain number and when I called the number back from my cell phone, it was Airtel's IVRS and I was charged 50 Rs. I got a message in next 2 minutes saying that "thanks for subscribing for Friend'z chat and my chat id is XXXXXX".
                            I have already talked to the airtel office and they were not supportive of this issue. I am thinking of changing my mobile subscriber if such issues are not resolved. ALso, I have activated DND on my number several times but I still keep getting messages from Airtel about offers etc.

                            Air Tel has been activating unwanted non sense services on my mobile and charging for it. the modus operandi is that you receive promotional SMS, you open it and the service is activated. you may also receive a promotional call, you receive it and the service is activated.
                            now i have started sending very strongly worded mails to them, i even threaten them that in case the service is not discontinued, i shall go to consumer court. every time i had sent such a mail, the service was discontinued and the amount credited to my account.

                            Airtel — service charged but not activated

                            Hello,

                            On the 18th of November, my BlackBerry Personal Mail service was disconnected and on the 19th Oct at 8:03 am I was charged Rs 399 for the same and received a renewal message from Airtel. It has been 11 days now and I have still not received my Internet Service. I have also not received my refund even after speaking with a Supervisor from the Customer Service Team. I spoke to 6 supervisors everyday from the BlackBerry Support and no one has been able to resolve this . They say 4 hrs, 12 hrs, 24 hrs, 72 hrs and so on. But it has been more than 240 hours and I am still without the service but have paid for it. The supervisors say they have personally followed the case and will call be back and no callbacks. They refuse to take the call when I call them back.

                            I AM REALLY GETTING PISSED OFF NOW AND WANT THIS ISSUE SORTED ASAP.

                            The supervisors who I have spoken from the BB support are : Deepak Singh, Rahul, Ashish, Vivek and I forgot 2 of them. I have been hung up by a lot of agents when I requested for a Supervisors. I THINK ITS HIGH TIME YOU LOOK AT THE ISSUES OF THE CUSTOMERS AND TRAIN YOUR AGENTS/ SUPERVISORS ON SOME REAL CUSTOMER SERVICE.

                            Today on Sept 2, 2012 received a message"thanks for downloading [protected]@_Rs Game from Airtel". A download that was never made from my number -[protected] and does not even reflect in the internet downloads of my Galaxy Note.

                            Upon calling the customer service an aggressive representative tried to convince me that the download was indeed made at around 11:30 because it reflects in their records (how convenient!) I told him that it did not on my phone records and that there was no game to show for it either. Had a download started on my slow Rs. 99 airtel mobile office it would have taken a long time and i would have got a bar saying that how much had been downloaded or that the game was downloaded and it is ready to install. But NO signs of any download appeared during the day.

                            To which he repeated that AIRTEL records show game was downloaded and AIRTEL has charged even though the game is nowhere all he can do is send the link so that I can properly download the game I DIDN'T Want in the first place.

                            I know this is not the first complaint of this nature that someone has put to airtel but it's quite convenient to charge for a service first and force it down the customer's throat with only their own records as proof. It is sad that a company has ethics as low as this and such little regard for customers word on even such a minor issue specially when the customer has been otherwise regular with all bill payment and never sought any discounts or refunds in the past. A company with such low regard for it's customer's side of the story and for customer retention doesnot deserve customer loyalty and hence we are left with no choice but to shift all three of our postpaid connections to another service provider.

                              I Sumit Kumar, have requested to port my Vodafone no.([protected]) to Airtel. Vodafone accepted my port requested and stopped my services on[protected] at 10:30pm but no appropriate action has been taken by Airtel to start the services, I contacted Airtel prepaid office many times i also contacted Airtel customer care many times but they all are unable to response with valid reason and till now my Airtel services has not been started.

And to register my account name I have to call on [protected] this no. later after searching for no. [protected], I came to know that this no.is from pakistan that is enough to terrify me.                                   Airtel activated Spunk Models useless service on my number: [protected] without my knowledge. I want complete refund and deactivation of this service asap.
                                  This is really ridiculous activity of Airtel. This has happened to other Airtel users in my family too. They activate anything they want on their own or by using spams or flash messages. Normal person who doesn't know these things can easily be fooled by this. This is simply very wrong.
                                  I am definitely going for Mobile Number Portability along with other Airtel users in my family. This is worst network ever.

                                  I got a message on my airtel mobile on 20 may 2009 at 3:30 p.m that you are subscribed for HELLO TUNES. ( please note that i had not asked to subscribe me for hello tunes ). I immediately called the airtel customer care and unsubscribed the service. 5 minutes later i recieved a message that you have been charged Rs 20 for hello tunes . AIRTEL, please make a note of it that we are not fools or buffoons to take your prepaid service and tolerate all your nonsense. Do not try to be oversmart. Now, I want you to fix the problem and REFUND my money as soon as possible. If not, I would Be forced to go for a case against you in the CONSUMER COURT.

                                  I am Sarfraj Shigave, customer of Airtel since last 2 years. I have two postpaid mobile connections of Airtel. I am paying the Airtel bill on regulag time. Just check my billing details. I have paid all the bill before due dates. My mobile no.s are [protected] and [protected]. Since yesterday morning my second no. i.e. [protected] is showing not in use. Means when I am calling that no. its showing that this no. is not in use. I have tried to call customer care. They told me that as Airtel is updating system they cant do anything upto 11th of Sep. 2009. Today morning I went to your Tilak Road’s customer care service center. The office time is 10.00 am to 8.00 pm. The office opens at 9.30. I went there at 9.50. But the sweeper man refused me to seat in the office. He told me to wait outside the office. I asked him that I will wait inside as there are just 10 minutes remain. But he was speaking very rudely with me. Then up to 11.oo am no one Airtel employee was available in the office. At 11 o’clock one lady came. I told her my problem. She told me there are phones. So call on 888. I tried to call on 888, but the call was dropping. I again told her it’s not connecting. She can’t do anything; you have to wait for half an hour as express office employee will came half an hour late. I asked her “But office time is 10.00 to 8.00”. She told me those express officers are used to come late by half an hour daily. So we can’t do anything.”

                                  In this way I was there up to 11.10 but no one was there to solve my problem. Then I have asked her where the complaint box is? She replied you can not do anything against us. You may either wait or you may go now.

                                  This happens with me second time. Last time also when I had lost my cell I went there and asked the lady to block my card as it is postpaid connection. She replied first put the complaint in police station and come with complaint document; I told her I am going to put the complaint in police station. But first block my card. Even I had shown her my ID proofs as she is saying that how can we believe that this card is on your name?

                                  Airtel — balance deducted by Airtel within 24 hours without any service activated by us

                                  I am Yogesh, i had my Airtel sim connection more than four years, now from few days Airtel mobile is deducting my balance from time to time, we had register a complaint to Airtel customer care but they always tell us that on your mobile some services have been activated, but the fact is that we haven't activated any services. They had deducted our balance with in 24 hours after recharge. some days before we again registered a complaint to custmer care to revert back the balance they had deducted, they had done that but after some time they had deducted again.

                                  Sir same situation came again, Airtel had deducted my balance, yersterday on date 14-march-2010 i had e-rechared my mobile with RS 60.00/-, and got balance of RS 52/-, on next day means on 15-march-2010 when i checked the balance after doing some calls, balance is shocking only RS 18.60/- are remaining. I don't know where is my balance is gone or used.

                                  Same case is held with my 2nd mobile also. so i didn;t recharge that mobile this month (march 2010).

                                  Airtel custmer care always told us that, they will not deduct our balance again. All services had been disabled previously by customer care after our request. but still they were deducting our balance. If we have any urgency and there is no balance in our mobile then what will we do.

                                  So I am very frusted with the service of Airtel, i want to Register complaint against Airtel in Customer court. Please advice what steps to be followed for registering complaint.

                                  Airtel activating services without my knowledge and deducting amount my account. Few days back, suddenly my balance was reduced by Rs. 20. I was shocked and called to airtel customer care. They told, Friends Chat was activated from my side before 20 days. But i didnt activate and also i didnt receive any notification of activation of service and amount deduction. i argued with Customer care executive and he refunded Rs.20.                                   I have a deduction of 120/- at random within 15 minutes. I asked customer care people they asked me wait till 27 January. And again and again some Service reply is coming and they are deducting my balance. So i want to make it clear, i have 99 rupees unlimited download pack and i renewed it on 22 Jan 2011.I have no other service for which you can deduct balance. This diduction was made in just 5 minutes. How can you deduct 120/- for 5 minutes browsing first thing. Second thing i was using Mobile office only not Airtel live.                                   customer care executive.

                                  I use airtel mobile service. I have been charged many times for hello tunes for which I never requested but when I complaint they say I have activated it which is not true. Also I have lodged complaints few times and they said they will deactivate but they did not. Even after informing them they send sms that they have renewed for another month and my callers get some unwanted filthy cine songs which they and I do nto like.

                                  It is a criminal activity and cheating and looting. If they charge all the innocent people Rs.30 per month they can easily make millions each month.

                                  This kind of activities by anyone should be stopped.

                                  All users of Airtel must check whether they have been charged without their knowledge and permission.

                                  Also all users of Airtel should join together and take action to teach them a lesson.

                                  Bharti Airtel Ltd — UNWANTED SMS

                                  Receving frequent unwanted promotional sms . Those sms are mostly related to property dealing related. I have repeatedly requested Airtel to stop , but not attending my request.
                                  I thought Idea Cellular customer service people did not have enough knowledge about their product and could never answer any query satisfactorily.
                                  And I thought Airtel was much better than the rest.
                                  Well..guess what! I was wrong. And i have no qualms in admitting it.

                                  Airtel has the worst service ever.
                                  I got myself a new Pre-Paid connection ([protected]) to get my BB activated.
                                  After activation of the card they said BB would be activated in about 24 hours.
                                  I took about 3 days actually to get things started.

                                  And the moment I started using Airtel, automatic deduction of Rs.60 took place. And for what - the filthy service of FriendzChat and some Astrology [censored]e.
                                  I contacted their customer service and they said they would look into it. But for a good 5 days there was no response.
                                  And umpteen calls later when i finally got through a customer executive, i was bound to lose my temper (for having answered the same lame questions over and over again).
                                  The outburst of anger came as i used a single profane word (and I'm not apologizing for it - EVER!)
                                  The agent has the audacity to say- "Sabhyata se baat keejiye"
                                  Well - Mr."Sabhyata" if only you guys worked with "sabhyata" users wouldn't have to lose it on you.

                                  Secondly - having spoken to their manager - a certain Mr. Mukesh who assured that the deductions would be refunded that very day - it was no surprise that for the next 4 days there was no such transaction made.

                                  And to top it all - they even blocked my number from being connected to the customer care service numbers (121 and 198).

                                  This is surely a silver lining for Airtel.
                                  If you can't handle a customer and complaints against their company - the best is to block the customer.
                                  I say, it's a wonderful scheme to keep customer at bay. But do they realize that Consumer Forums do take up our case and fight for us.
                                  Let them also remember that the common man is backed by the media.

                                  If I wish to indulge in charity- it is my choice where and how I give my money. I will never appreciate a brand like Airtel STEALING my money from my account.

                                  Bharti Airtel — Deduction of hello tune charges without accepting the request

                                  I want complaint against airtel's hellotune service.

                                  First thing Airtel making a call for hellotune request and other services are from direct numbers( might be computerized programmings generated), but there is no such indication services. Hence we are unable to pick the call & back call it the service is automatically get activated.

                                  Same thing happens with me, myself sachin gaikwad & one of the customer of airtel with mobile number[protected] becomes the victim of their system fault.On date 23/09/2011 i had missed call from [protected] which from Airtel hellotune service, when i called that number i listen the information regarding their services & ended the call. But immediately i got the message from airtel that i choose a hellotune and 45 INR are deducted from my account immediately. This is there system fault 100 %,i know they will prove that i dialed this number & choose the particular hellotune.
                                  But i want system more easy to distinguish between the real number & Airtel service number, this is going to help millions of mobile user as they are facing the same problem of deduction of balances due to mobile service providers system fault, better give the consumer a chance to choose to call or not.

Raised to customer care on 30th july around 4:30 PM, they replied it will solved within 24 hours, But we had no response, Again I have called on 31st july around 4:30 and reminded them, they replied it will solved within a hour, still no response. Again i have called on 31st july around 6:00 PM, it will be solved within 1 hour and service person will call u back., But still I have got no responses.

                                      I choose the A la Carte online but it never got implemented nor did I get a call or message and of cause they continued milking my money. I called them after a day and they said that they can only change the package and I asked them to change into the South Channels . They could not do even that & raised a complaint . The complaint was not sorted for more than 48 hours and every day they continue to remove my money and of cause I am getting a message to recharge other wise it will be deactivated . I am also a user of tata Sky and although I do not want to compare service like this is unimaginable . What service do I as a user get . Do I have any rights or should I just take this lying down

                                        We received CUG plans, it was given by Airtel sales person named Shashi.
                                        The plan which was offered to us was "Airtel Special Value 199 CUG Plan"
                                        But the plan which was set is "Super Saver 199 CUG Plan"
                                        They gave around 40 connections and some connections had the problem.
                                        After the first month bill, two connections was changed but we had to pay the bill.
                                        Now the second month bill has been generated, but the plan has not changed yet, for the following numbers.

                                        I recharge my cellphone with the top up of Rs110/- before topup my plan was 1p/s. After recharge my top up my plan automatically switch over to 1.02/s. for this plan neither company nor his agent( Wadhwa communication Panipat refineryt township Panipat ) informed me about the plan that your phone automatically transfer to the new high rate plan.When I asked to the agent than he says that company did not tell us that the plan will be changed.
                                        so company is not giving the proper information about the plan they are cheating to the customers. I want my old plan which was 1p/.
