I work for HP Global Soft chennai and I had taken HP Corporate Plan - Post Paid connection from Airtel almost 6 years back. Mobile number from Airtel is +91 [protected].
Since April 2013, Airtel Customer Service person started calling me and telling that I have not paid the bill since February 2013. I replied saying that I have made the payment through Citibank Co. Ltd Online payment till April 2013. To one customer service representative I gave the online transaction details completely on the call.
Still, they continued calling me for non-payment inspite of I repeatedly telling them about my payment details since February 2013. As requested by them, I had sent them the bank statement and online transaction details highlighting the transactions details to Airtel through email addressed to Airtel billing section ([protected]@in.airtel.com) dated May 28, 2013. For this, I got an other reply asking for payment details again... I got irritated and sent them an email asking them to verify my bank statements and online transaction details in which i have highlighted the airtel payment transaction details for their convenience and again attached the details in the same email. For this I never got a reply. Instead they kept calling me for non-payment as usual.
Next time when they called, they asked me for a Bank Debit certificate. Again I called up citibank and validated that the transactions have indeed gone to the Airtel merchant and the citibank representative told me that its now on the Airtel company to verify the transaction with their bank.
Citibank said they are not in a position to give something called Bank Debit certificate.
With that, they stopped my outgoing calls and handed over the payment details to their Collection agent. The collection agent kept calling me for 2-3 times and finally they deactivated my SIM from June 10, 2013.
All this has happened inspite of the fact that I am a customer with Airtel for 6 years and have been paying regularly through Citibank online payment. I have to tell you that their customer service is so poor and never mind to take the concerns of the customer and never do a proper validation from their end.
I request you to kindly take appropriate action against this Airtel Company.
