Respected Sir/Madam,
We, Bhavna R ,Manisha B and Danisha S, foreign students in University of Mysore, would like to bring to your kind attention some of the problems encountered with the Airtel Company in Mysore. Since the very beginning they have been disappointing us with their poor service and lack of professionalism. We subscribed for a Broadband Internet Connection with the plan of 10 GB (2MBps/256kbps) in August 2012. Throughout, the speed was not as good as promised and we kept facing connectivity problems all the time.
We have shifted to a new place and before that we had applied for cancellation of the Internet Service on 03.04.2013. We were told that the cancellation would be done within 9 days, that is by 11.04.2013 and that the security deposit of Rs 3000 would be refunded to us within 45days. But to our further disappointment, they kept calling us to ask if the connection was ok and they literally pestered us to keep the connection. In spite of our firm decision to cancel it, they did not effectuate the cancellation at that time and we got one more bill for no reason as we were not even living in that house and therefore did not avail to their service. They even gave the excuse that we asked for reconnection when we had already shifted from there. It would be anyway clear in their data usage record that after the cancellation request that no one used their service.
Furthermore, they kept troubling us with their phone calls and each time we had to say that a request was already filed for cancellation and on each phone call they would file a new one. It was very annoying each time for us to repeat the same story to them. (Further cancellation request numbers: 31351428;[protected]
Moreover, we would like to inform you that the Airtel Company provides different plans for almost the same price. We got to know about this from our friends who were also using Airtel Broadband. For almost similar prices they were getting a much better package with higher speed and better usage allowance. This is why we found their service very unfair and unprofessional.
Eventually, we are still waiting for the refund of our security deposit after deduction of the real pending amount (i.e for the time period we used their services) and we hope to get it as soon as possible. We have already been waiting for so long and that is why we could not resist from filing a complaint here.
We hope that our request will be given due consideration and the amount will be refunded soon. We look forward to hearing from you in the near future.

AirTel / Bharti Broadband — REFUND NOT RECEIVED --3MONTHS
I have opted for Bharti Broad Band services, the sales guy who visited my place promised me to get it done with-in 2 days.On complition of all formalities he revised his commitment and says that the hub is choked it will atleast take 4-5working days.
I waited alomst for 14 days but all I got was never ending excuses.
finally I asked for refund of money; and till date all i have from there side is 10-12 days time................ ITS BEING 3 MONTHS NOW.
I would advise anyone going for bharti/airtel connections please ask concern person to check availability of port first.
