Sir
I would like to draw your kind attention towards the following grievances:

1. Purchased a new Airtel Digital TV connection for Rs. 2050 on 13 March 2009,
Available with Two months free subscription to Mega Channel package along with
ESPN channel package free of cost.

Being broadband (Internet) customer, requested and applied for the Cash Back Facility
Entitled to us worth Rs. 250, which was assured to be provided within 7 days.
On 21 March 2009, Rs. 300 was confirmed by Mrs. Afthiya at 5.55 PM in the above said account.

Before the lapse of free subscription of two months scheme for timely recharge of our account,
The balance is being said Rs. 50 only instead of Rs. 300
By Mr. Rakesh Dated 10 May 2009 at 3.30 PM and Mr. Raju Dated 10 May 2009 at 4.05 PM

2. On requesting to subscribe us with Mega Channel package only for the next month (3rd Month)
Manipulation is being done in deactivating ESPN channel package
Which was available for free and not requested for.

3. On request to connect the call to Floor Manager at Call Center, no proper reply is being given
And the call is being put on hold for 15-20 idle minutes by both the above said executives
as in practice for delaying in reply instead of connecting the call to FM.

Whenever called to your customer centre no one is receiving it Iwant to subscribe a channel and not able to do it .so please check if any problem
I paid Rs 4800 by cash via Vriti infocomm services for airtel dth ( HD Recorder TV) on 27/05/2011 and I was told that an engineer would call me and the installation would be done by evening or latest by 10 am the next day that is 28th...on 28th afternoon after wasting my whole day i realised that nothing is happening...i tried calling customer care which did not generate any request no for complaint and told me that system is in updation...i called again agter an hour...system in updation ...6 pm evening system in updation...i got sms that my customer id is [protected], but no one called for installation...today is 30th (4:00 pm) still there is no response from airtel customer care or the engineers...i am calling customer care since morning and they are telling me since morning to 4:00 pm that system is under updation...when the hell is my dth going to be installed...and i hope you will bill me after the date of installation...is it going to take a week?????
Today is 2nd June and i was told by the engineer that he was not informed and that he has got an HD box instead of the HD recorder box and he was supposed to come early morning today...no response...his mobile is switched off. No help from airtel helpline...what do i do?
Same here. I bought one HD box on 9th of January/2012 through online and till today (today is 17th January/2012) no phone call no installation has been done. If I call to the customer care only one answar "It will be done by tomorrow", that "tomorrow" will never come I think. It is one of the poorest service I have ever seen in my life. I advice to all not to go ahead with AirtelDH TV connection.
In my Airtel Dish TV I cannot view anything whenever it rains.I do not know whom to apply.

    pay kar doga. palay to with in one month meray gher par koi aaya nahi. or next month
    mera ek bill or aa gaya. total 1275rs some thing. fir mari costmer cair say baat hui. to
    manay fir say kaha aap aapna esu meray gher bhej do. mai bill pay kar donga. monday
    ko. aapka esu meray gher aaya to wednesday. jab mai gher par nahi the. aab sir kuch
    din pahlay mera gher par cout kay paper aa jatay hai. sir is may mayri kya galti hai.
    service aapkay hand say thikh nahi mili.n mai kya kar sakta hu. mai to pay karnay ko
    tayaar the bill. fir sir meri kya galti hai. aapki to har call recoded hoti hai. aap chek kar

        i received an sms on my airtel mobile no. [protected] by shell company uk international mobile draw
        at 3:00 am IST on 10 may 2009 stating that i had won 5 lakh GBP. This is a fake lotto msg and the mobile service provider i.e airtel should be held responsible for such an act of fraud. and further the mobile numbers of the airtel customers should not be distributed like that. Strict action should be taken against this.

        Airtel Subscriber - India — Price of GBP 250000

        On 18/12/2008 I got a SMS stating that I have won 250, 000-00 GBP in 2008 ( 02 UK ) In'tl Mobile Draws in UK . I was asked to contact Dr Larry and his reply to my mail has asked me to provide certain personal details.

        Please inform me whether its TRUE or a fraudulant Game Plan of certain mischievous elements.

        even i have received an similar email on my vodafone number at the same date however i went ahead with the instructions they gave me as i had just been on a holiday to london and though that i must have genuienly received some money prize and realized the catch was to pay 39000INR however i am hoping to get the person delivering the money to me caught and hopefully will be successful in busting this gang

        I strongly agree with all above comments. Today is the morning i also got a missed call from the number [protected] and when i called back on that number Mr. Ravi Varma was saying that i have won a lucky draw of 25 Lakh and to collect the money i have to call his supervisor whose name is Mr. Harish Kumar and gave me his Dubai no. [protected]. I called them and then got there Dubai address Sharjah Cricket Stadium, Building 6, Tislat.
        He said Tislat is a Dubai's biggest service provider like we have Airtel and all other and Tislat organized this lucky draw on 15 August in which they have selected 125 customers and i have won the height amount of RS.25Lakh from Delhi. They did not have my name. Even they were asking my name so i felt something fishy so rolled the talk. Did not give any information about my home address or bank a/c details.

        Please be care full while talking to some when u receive such calls from ISD numbers as when i called Airtel Cust. Care they told me that [protected] is a Pakistan's number and the person who called with this number said that this is his Mumbai's number.

        Please always check with Ur service providers i[censored] face such cases.

        I want to register a ISD telephone call based fraud scam which I experienced today. I received a missed call from [protected] on 3/1/2011 at 12:08 PM. When I called back at 12:09 PM, a lady (she said her name was Priya) said she was calling from Airtel Mumbai and told me that I have won a lottery of Rs 10 lakhs. I didn't believe in such lottery scams and suspected both the number and her accent (which was distinctly not from Mumbai, but was more like Punjabi) so I kept her engaged and asked more details.

        When I asked her if she was indeed calling me from Airtel Mumbai, then why is her number starting with +92 which is Pakistan's ISD code, she explained that it is an internet based call that's why it didn't reflect the regular number. I laughed at her poor explanation so she asked me if I was interested in collecting the money. She asked me to call Branch Manager of SBI Mumbai (some Mr. Surender Pal Singh) at another number [protected]. Needless to say, of course I did not bother to waste any further efforts.

        Please be careful of such callers and do not bother responding to such calls. And NEVER give out your bank account related information on phone, sms, email, or any other means. Such scams are called as blended phishing attacks, basically intended to fool the recipient into giving out their banking / financial information. The one in which fraudsters utilize telephone networks to cause frauds (such as this one) are specifically known as 'Vishing', more details can be found at: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vishing

        Please be careful... all numbers starting with 0092 are originating from Pakistan. Never call back on the number if you receive a missed call... there are a lot telephone frauds these days claiming to be calling from Airtel or SBI and stating that you have won a lottery and asking for bank details for money transfer.

        The leading US-based computer security research organization SANS (www.sans.org) also published an awareness warning today on this.         If you receive an email asking you to call an 800 number (or any other number unknown to you) related to a banking issue, don't call the number. Your credit card has a phone number on the back as do your account statements. Be safe, don't call a phone number listed in an email; instead look the number up on your account statements. There is a new attack called Vishing, designed to have you call a fake, automated answering system, and get you to enter your account number and other sensitive information.

          Hope you would help me. Please find below the correspondence with Bharti Airtel who is supposed to be one under TRAI and need to help customers. This is a ridiculous act from Bharti whom you have rated and approved as a service provider. This is a company which is supporting a criminal and even a nodal officer at the company doesnt care to even reply me.


          I need India TRAI to take up this with Bharti and find out who actually used my credit card at their website and ended up using my money illegaly.

          So which either to say i am mad to do sms recharge when i want talktime...This stupid behavior is always with airtel, either deduct or put some hidden cost for no reason.

          and please have some educated executive who give respect to people, that boy claimed to be senior, when he could not even talk properly.

          Worst experience, will be happy when law suits slams on their face for cheating.

            my mobile no. is [protected]. i had beeb using prepaid since 8 years, i got a call from airtel telemarketing & agreed to move onto billing. they came to me & took photocopy of necessary documents. they told me that it will be activated before 36 hours. but even after 3 days it is not activated. my prepaid connection is not working.

            i spoke in call centre & they said to contact the person who took the documents. i donot have his number or address. i donot understand why my prepaid connection is deactivated as i did not sign on any documents & also i have life time incoming free scheme.

            Airtel Billing — Complaint about Billing

            I have taken the airtel broadband connection recently(number[protected]. I had applied for a plan change on 30.06.08 and i was told that the plan migration will be done on the next day or maximum day after that. I haven't received any feedback from your side until 5th and i've got a cal on 5th stating that the plan has been migrated. I have received my last month bill some 12 days back. I was shocked to see the bill i have been charged more. I cald up your customer care for clarifications, why am i charged more, the plan should have been converted by 1st of july or the worst case may be 2nd. when i asked them they said its mistake from the airtel side, they have logged in my plan conversion only on 3rd july instead of 30th july. i told them to reverse the amount charged from 1st july to 5th july. they cald and told me rs.601/- has been revised and you can pay bill reducing that amount. i told them very clearly i need a bill, so that i can make the payment. they said i will receive the bill within two days, i also told them that send me the bill before the due date so that i can pay the bill and avoid late payment feses. after two days one gentle man cald me and said my bill is due and i also told him the same. he also promised me that the bill be sent to me. finally on 16 th august i got a call as a reminder for my payment. and today i myself cald up customercare and asked them my due. they said rs.300 and odd is been revised. i was shocked. how come i got reply from your staff. why they are telling lies that rs.601/- is revised and rs.352/- is revised. why two different statements from your employees. customer care executive is telling me that it is not possible to send the reworked bill. why your staff didnt tell me this in the beginning itself when i asked for a bill. and today they gave me a complaint no.10625094 but nothing has happened so far. if this is going to continue, i'm not going to use this service. please take immediate action otherwise put me on to your higher officials. otherwise i would like to take up this with ombudsmen.

            AirTel — billing connection

            i received called that air tel is offering post paid connection to you you just need to pay rs.300 for the activation charges than after two days i pay the charges amount and submmited the require document yet i have not received any postpaid card. after three month igot call that your tota outstanding bill is rs.23500 and i explain the scenerio to the customer service agent he said we will trace the call and check the call detail then after contact with you, so i kindly reqest the copany do the needfull.

              Hello,

              I have a airtel broadband connection in my name, whose bill reminders i receive on my mobile which is normal. Past 6 months, somebody has put my mobile number in their alternate contact number field. Now when due date comes airtel customer care leaves no stone unturned to abuse and threaten me to pay the bill that is not mine. I have complained to customer care many times, but they say I must find who did this mistake on my own and then ask those ppl to file a complaint with airtel, then only something can happen.

              Nobody is willing to help. Can anybody suggest any way?
              Can i use RTI against airtel in this matter?

                I just wanted to notify your about how I got robbed of my balance. On 3 May 2009 12:40 AM, My balance was deducted Rs. 85.20 and I was left with a balance of Rs. 0.23. At that time I was using Mobile Office(I subscribe to Rs 255/month unlimited plan). Then in Afternoon at around 3:45 PM I recharged my phone with Rs 350 topup(I got full balance). I open mobile office few minutes later and I was levied Rs. 0.30 data transfer charges. I shouldn't have been charged as I am an unlimited plan user. Then my struggle for for regaining my balance began. I called Customer Care(CC) on 3 May at around 12:50 AM or so. They told me about some technical problem they are facing and cannot register my complaint until 3:00 PM. Then I called at 4:00 PM and they registered my complaint attributing it to the technical problem they were facing. They said I'll get my money back within 24 Hours. No money returned after it. I called again and again everyday and they always said the same thing. I got the biggest surprise today(9 May 2009 @ around 9 PM). The Senior CC executive is saying that no money was deducted from 1 may to 9 May. Then I disconnected the call in utter disgust. But I again called in next 10 minutes and then another surprise- A CC guy picked up and I repeated the problem and he said my money was deducted and that he is forwarding my request. Two guys saying saying two different things, What a joke!!!In the whole process I was only refunded Rs 0.30 on 8th may and there are no whereabouts of my actual balance i.e. Rs. 85.20.                 i mistakely downloaded the fusion lounge java game so i am losing 15 rs every week kindly please deactivate this subscribtion as soon as possible. Its giving me a lot of trouble. I done whatever to getrid from it but nothing workout. I reqest you again to please unsubscribe the game.

I had tried a lot of of times to Unsubscribe from the Pre-mentioned services, and for the same, tried to get connected to Airtel Customer care, but it never got connected. I received a sms today[protected] from ''TA-Arena'' at around 17:00 which requested me to log on to- ''www.speedflirt.mobi/airtel.click'' and then to Edit Profile and to Unsubscribe because it read that within 2 days, the service will be renewed and 20 rupees will get deducted from my account. but the problem is this that the page is not opening inspite of innumerable efforts. But I am not using it. So, why should I pay when I'm not using the service???? I want my money refunded/adjusted for the same immediately.

                    This is with deep regret (for having opted Airtel broadband) that I am drafting this mail.

                    I am 100% sure that not even a single stone is gonna get turned, but it is my responsibility and of course, my rights to voice out my agony, pain and frustration.

                    Please refer my broadband transfer request no. 87164

                    I had placed a location transfer request from Kodambakkam to Velacherry (Chennai) last week, the 28th of May, 2009 (Tuesday). It has been 10 agonizing days ever since my request has been raised in the system. Starting this Sunday, I myself have been following up on this transfer request and on each day I call each of the different customer care executives, I have been getting the same response uniformly "It will take two more working days. We have a technical error". At least I would have heard it from 5 different customer care executives.

                    Last Wednesday (06 May 2009) morning, I was given to understand from the customer care executive that by the same day evening my service will be activated and was asked to be at home by 6:30 PM that day. Had to get a permission from office, and reached home promptly, but to avail no response from any body and to see nobody turning up for the wiring / activation.

                    The next morning again called up the customer care executive and was irritated when the executive told me that "It will take two more working days. We have a technical error". Had to explain him all my interactions that I had before and was had a real tough time to explain him what really happened. Then the same day the executive said I need to be at home by 7:00 PM, so that he would be sending the wiring person to my flat.

                    Again was at my home promptly in the mentioned time. The wiring persons came home at around 8:15 PM and said the wiring was done and it would take the next day to have the activation, which is when I got wild. I called up the customer care executive again. Explained from scratch again and finally the call was routed to his supervisor by name Mr. Veera (Contact number:[protected]. He was again listening to all my already repeated stories and finally he said the same would be done by the next day for sure, without any issues. After having taken two days permission to leave office early by 6:30 PM on Tuesday and Wednesday, I had requested Veera, if the concerned person who will be activating my broadband service, could come at around 9 PM. Veera said that is not a possibility and asked me to be at home by 8 PM.

                    Again, as if my employer is Airtel, I obliged, reaching my home at dot 7:30 PM yesterday (Thursday). Was waiting until 8:15 PM, when I called back Veera on the whereabouts of the activation person, for which Veera promptly uttered, "Sir, they are on the way sir. Currently in another site. Would sure come and complete the activation by EOD today". Again when I called him back at 8:45 PM, Veera replied in a slightly irritated tone "Boss, I am here and what can I do about they not coming" types. I understood his plea and was patient again until 9:15 PM.

                    When I called back at 9:15 PM, there was no response and I would have at least called him up for 20-30 times, to avail no response.

                    Was extremely annoyed and was so upset by this pathetic and hopeless service promised, if not provided by Airtel. Again, while I called Mr. Veera today (08 May 2009) at around 3 PM, the first call rang until it was ended. Starting my second call, the next 4 calls were disconnected immediately it rang.

                    Is this the way, as a brand Airtel treats, if not values its customers? Will Airtel waive off the transfer charges or waive off the tariff starting last Monday to today (for which I am paying the monthly rental for no usage of Airtel), that too, for no fault of mine? More than the money part, can Airtel respond to the pain, irritation, agony and trauma that I underwent just for a simplest of a process called "Broadband location Transfer"?

                    Why are Airtel so-called "Customer care executives" be so irresponsible, non-resposive and non-understanding? Can anyone suggest how to register a formal complaint on them.

                      TThis is really painfull that Airtel is cheating there customers.I am facing the bill problem from last year. When was paying my bill without any query & question then everything was ok, but when I stopped paying the unauthorised bill & I raised issue with Customer care, they started questing & threating me. And because of bad services and threaten I switch over to some other network.

                      I took an Airtel postpaid connection number [protected]. Which I took in the month of April 2007 and my account activated on 07/04/2008.

                      I choosed 444 plan, however I make change in my bill plan in Dec, 08 (which is one year monthly rental 998). I confirm with a Coustomer care excecutive for STD charge she confirmed that the charges will be 1 Rs per mint. However after the bill plan change within a week the call charges was so high so i called up Customer care once agsin. They again confirm me the same charges (which was as per them 1 Rs per mint), They said now we are charging 1.5 Rs per mint however when bill will genrated the charges will be 1 Rs per mint. The same information the communicated to me trice.

                      Then I check my pervious bills in which unauthorized charge were taken. In value add services I only requested to activate Hello tune & Call Manager but I dont understand what all extra charges (311 Rs) were added to in my bill.I checked my all old bills and the same unauthorizied charges were taken by AIRTEL.

                      I am really very disturb and mentaly harised by Airtel. Today (08/05/09) they came to my house without informing me.Because of so many calls from them I am facing some health issues.

                        I have registered my post paid mobile no under DND service. It is now more than 6 months but I am still getting Telemarketing calls and sms. How do I complain to Consumer court? Airtel is turning deaf ear to this problem as Telemarketing people says that you number is not in list, however Airtel says they have activated this request. WHOM SHOULD I BELIEVE? I AM FED UP OF THIS.

                        Please help me if someone know the procedure.

                            This is to inform your good office, I am Venugopal J from Tamilnadu(Chennai) I am a subscriber of Bharti Airtel from atleast morethan 3 years. My Airtel number is [protected] the purpose o[censored]sing Airtel is good Network and Customer Care.

                            But presently it is very poor Customer Care, since i am in Student Plan and for per SMS 0.05 paise charge, Yestersday (07.05.2009) i have availed Booster22 pack after that per SMS became 0.50 paise charge, hence Booster22 Pack means every second call 0.50 paise will charge to any number. But now when i called Customer Care Executive they said only 10.00pm to 6.00 am only.

                            Whereas, no initimation for me regarding that, So my complaint Reference number [protected] and it will take five day to clear or get an solution of that, but previously within 48 hours we will get back the feedback from Customer Care.

                            Now a day its poor Customer Services, So i request your good office kinldy look it this and get back my SMS 0.05 paise charge and per call 0.75paise which me already using before Booster22 pack and past two month when i recharge with Booster22 pack my SMS 0.05 paise and per every second call is 0.50 paise charge.

                            I am wear that is it some thing wrong might happen in Customer Care Services, regarding your feedback only you want us to retain in Bharti Airtel future depends up on one and only you...?

                              I am an old veteran settled in Noida. I move to Shimla every summer for few months. I took a LIFETIME PREPAID CONNECTION from Airtel in Shimla to stay connected with my family in mid 2006 on payment of Rs 999. I was told that this connection would be valid for lifetime and that I need to recharge as on required basis from time to time.
                              My service has been disscontinued during 2007, 2008 and now in 2009. It is only after my having taken a strong stand that the services were restored in the past. I am still fighting to get service restored since 25th April 09, the date of my arrival in Shimla.The reason advanced is that Airtel has changed the terms of providing this service. Airtel has unilaterally backed out of its committment.
                              Will some one please help in putting an end to this harassment that I am subjected to every year

                                Call Barring Password

                                I am unable to use the call barring feature. it was working fine before but i forgot the call barring password . i tried a few password and it got blocked. now i cant change the call barring password. it get error "Barring password blocked". i tried contacting Airtel customer case many times but as per them its a cellphone feature and suggested me to contact Nokia for the same . i explained them by sharing the manual of the Nokia...

                                On 09/04/2009 when my phone was not working due to validity expires. Then i received many msgs. from airtel that Dial *123# (free) for validity & 12131(free)for best offer also received the computerised calls.
                                On 09/04/2009 i called four times on 12131 for my best offers then they asked 2 OPETIONS as like here under.

                                OPETION 1
                                IF YOU CHARGE YOUR CARD BY RS. 99.00 THEN RS. 10.00 WILL BE CREDIT IN YOUR A/C & ALSO CREDIT THE LIFE TIME VALIDITY.

                                OPETION 2
                                IF YOU CHARGE YOUR CARD BY RS 502.00 THEN YOU GET RS. 446-00 AS TALK TIME & ALSO GET THE LIFE TIME VALIDITY.

                                after my confirmation on phone before recharge i had my log
                                on 12131 on 9/4/2009
                                first call at 5:31 PM
                                second call at 5:33 PM
                                thired call at 10:10 PM
                                fourth call at 10:12 PM
                                fifth call again 10:12 PM
                                sixth call at 10:13 PM
                                AFTER SIX CALLS CONFIRMATION I RECHARGED MY CARD BY RS. 502.00 AT 10:17 pm ON SAME DAY 09/04/2009.
                                I got my balance credit immd. but still i dont have the validity.
                                after so many calls on 121 coustmer care they never reply me even one time i really helpless now.
                                I had all the recordinds with coustmer care 121 they promise me to credit the validity, but still I am faceing so many problems & not get the validity.

                                I request you to please help us & credit my life time validity asap.

                                sir,
                                i have a prepaid connection [protected]. i got a sms on 31st Aug,2007 stating 3 month validity for just Rs.202 and talk time of Rs.65. I sucssessfully recharged my moblie for Rs.202 .My validity externds for only one month and on 27th sep,07 i got a sms stating that my validity expires on 30th sep,07 so i registerd a complain for the same on 28th sep,07 and my complain no. was [protected] and i was told that my 2 months validity will be credited to my account within 42 hrs.. but there was no help from the customer care side.. After that i registered a number a complains but all in vain.. i even had a talk 2 three of the floor managers Mr.SUMIT,Mr.Vijay and Mr.Sidharth. they all were satisfied with my comliant and promiced me to wait till 42 hrs.. but nothing hapened.. i m very much dissapointed with this type of attitude.. i was told that customer is ohkla pahse 1 industrial area...
                                kindly take my complain seriosly and solve my problem as soon as possible

                                    Dear Sir/ madam, In fact i have reached a given up stage while writing this complaint but then realized that airtel does not give free service and I am a customer and i believe in the philosophy that the "Customer is always right".
                                    My problem is: That the area i am working in Ballard Estate, Neville house, ground floor, currimbhoy road mumbai 400 001. Tel 2263414/15 and my mobile no is [protected].
                                    There is practically no signal or if there is at all there is a call drop, despite the fact that there is an Airtel booster.
                                    I have started complaining through my mobile) about more than a month back (references would be in your recorded customer service log as to how many times the calls were made and time wasted.
                                    Till today no body from AIRTEL has neither bothered to address this issue even, leave alone the solving of the same.
                                    Each time one gives a complaint a profusely apologetic customer service personnel attends and gives a complaint number and further to that nothing happens. It is true but pathetic.
                                    I insisted that some body from the technical department attends the problem as there is no way the customer service has been able to link the same to the technical department.
                                    How long this agony would continue as the whole team of Airtel users at our office along with me cannot sit at our desk and make or receive calls. We literally go the road/ lobby and accomplish the calls.
                                    Any answer? how Long? and who will do it?
                                    Please come back with reasonable solutions.
                                    Even today (just now i have contacted the customer services) but no sincere efforts on the solution to be. I am not prepared to hold on further and i am humbly approach the customer service forum to take up this case in utmost seriousness and see that it is suitable redressed with suitable fine to the service provider or adequate compensation to the complaining person.
