I have taken one duplicate sim for my airtel prepaid connection from the prepaid shop (Chandy and Sons, Market, Kottayam Town, Kerala) on 30.4.09.
The said shop is an affiliate of Post paid shop at Baker jn, Kottayam, Kerala.
I gave Rs 75 and they gave me an inactive duplicate sim and said it will be activated within 48 Hours.
I submitted copy of voter id card and photo for the purpose, as per their demand.
The sim is not activated till today morning. So I went their shop again.
They said they want FIR of the lost sim. (This was their fresh demand, and they had not made such a demand on 30.4.09, when the duplicate sim was submitted to me).

However, I went to the police station and with great effort collected the FIR and gave it to the shop.
Then the owner of the shop Chandy and Sons angried with me and said that he will not make the processing of the sim unless he is given Rs 1000 towards bribe.
I disagreed with him and wanted him to give me back the documents I have given for the purpose.
He shouted and threatened that he will beat me with goondas in the market place.
I kept quiet for some time.
After one hour, he grabbed from me the duplicate sim issued and gave me the documents.
I quit the shop immediately.

With the same documents I approached another prepaid shop some 30 Kms away.

To my surprise, within 2 Hrs I got the duplicate sim activated from that shop, with very beautiful customer satisfaction.

This is to inform you that The prepaid shop Chandy and Sons, Market, Kottayam Town, Kerala (A branch of Post paid shop Baker Jn, Kottayam) is a big disgrace to Airtel. Chandy and Sons shop is even threatening Airtel customers using goondas in the marketplace.
Please throw away such franchisees otherwise Airtel customers in the city will be migrated to BSNL and other private operators whose customer relationship is far better than these mud cultured people.

Please cancel the franchisee Chandy and Sons, Market, Kottayam Town and please find some other franchisee whose customer relashionship is more good. Otherwise, Airtel people may note that your prepaid customers will be migrated to BSNL and other private operators in no time, no doubt.

    My Mobile no.[protected].I lost my mobile on March 5th 2008.Same day I sent an e-mail to Aitel to disconnect my number immediatly.they sent mail that they have disconnected.But Airtel sent me Bill for May month.i didnt get back my Rs.195 which I have to get back from Airtel.I repeatedly sent e- mail and called up customer care-Airtel But -No use.I am getting irritation.

    and i received a call from ur executive regarding the bill for an amount of 571.33 on five days back. wchich i have not received regarding the same i have spoken to ur customer care twice and today morning when i spoke with them i asked them to give a mail of my bill & i got the reference for the same i.e : - F[protected], which i have not received till this time. so i want the bill to to mailed to my add immediately

        Hi,

        This is to inform you that My services has been disconnected without any reasons from 30th april 2009.

        Problem:

        My mobile no is [protected] which is a postpaid account. I have lost my mobile with my sim card on 1st of April 2009. I have barred the simcard by calling the customer care. After that I got a duplicate sim card on April 18 2009 after submitting the ID proof and relevant documents from CIT nagar Airtel Outlet. And it was activated with the existing services as a postpaid account on 22nd April 2009. After that I am able to make and receive the calls without any issues till 30th April 2009. Suddenly, on 30th April 2009 at 10 pm It gives the message "No Network coverage" So i switched off the mobile and try once again. Now it gives the message "Your services are temporarily suspended due to non-submission of documents for your pre-paid connection. After submitting the documents your services will be activated within 72 hours."

        I am shocked because My mobile number is a post paid and i am using it for more than 3 years and i called the customer care and informed the same to him. they asked me to go to retail outlet. So, Last saturday 02/04/2009 i went to the same CIT Nagar Airtel outlet and discussed this issue they asked me to call the Hotline from their retail outlet to verify the backend verification. After verifying the details that Lady who spoke to me told that this is a mistake done by the airtel people who migrated wrongly from Postpaid to PrePaid, So, she apologized me and asked me wait for 2 hours to activate the mobile number as a Post paid one with all the existing services. But I waited for more than 24 hours and still my phone is not activated. My service Request number is[protected].

        Yesterday night also I spoke to the Preetha and she has given the complaint number : 21530770
        I also spoke to the Airtel Team Lead Naveen and he also the give the complaint number:[protected]

        There are giving only the complaint number But there is no action taken from your end.

        I am very much unhappy with your services and YOU ARE NOT KEEPING YOUR PROMISES"

          We, DIAB Core Mateirals Private Limited had 25 post paid mobile connection and from the first day of connection, we have been experiencing poor signal and most of the time no signal and hence could not have proper communication to anybody. We have been informing this to various people working for AirTel by orally and also by written but no one has turned to our side to resolve the issue. We do not know, whether the complaint has been sent to the officials of the AirTel.

          Hence, we request this forum to highlight this to the top officials of the Air Tel to resolve the problem immeidately. We are located on the following address :

            sir,
            i had take an airtel prepaid mobile connection No [protected] with six month validity which was ending on 05 may 2009. From 15 Apr 09 onwards i staeted getting messages to do recharge AP-Rc-44 and get one year validity. Many times i tried to get this rechrge but every time i goy message --Recharge not successful. i also tried to get lifetime validity on 05 May 09 by geting recharge of RS 99/. Even this was not successful and finally on 06 May09 my mobile became dead.I had also lodged complaint with Airtel Customer car twice on 05 May09 but with no results.

            My recharge was not succeessfully going through, and I forgot the exactly amount I recharged. I just wanted to know if I could know how much amount I paied and get them back with my transaction number, I Made a call to so call "customer care", a women told me to dial 98101 which couldn't go through at all by my mobile. Then, I had to call to customer care, then after listening to long long long voice box, finally I was able to talk to someone who is a man, he told me to dial 198. Ok, I dialed, "This number doesn't exist!" Wow, such great customer service! I called the customer care the third time, listening to all voice box, then he gave me number of delhi customer service [protected], this time it seems working, but I'm dailing from chennai, I really don't want to waste time and money on listen to all voice box just for a simple question which I asked many times.

            In conclusion,
            I'm very disappointed at Airtel's customer service.

            My mobile is samsung wave 525..and i have an airtel sim...i recharge of rs 50...and fot rs 42..i used up 14 rupees..28 rupees left..and suddenly it disappeared...I recharged rs 25...And a message cam that...Recharge unsucessful..My number is - [protected]..Help Me Out!!

                Hi,

                We applied for a Airtel PRI Line. The deal offered by the Airtel Marketing Person was Rs. 5000 Rental with 5000 Calls Free. With a EPABX With 16 Extensions free.

                We applied for the line and it duly came on time, The person from Airtel said the EPABX vendor will come and install it too. which he did, When they came they said that they wanted the extensions to be terminated in a particular fashion (which was not intimated earlier). We told them to come back 4 Days later and we will have all of that checked.

                Now nobody from airtel told us that their help desk / customer care no. for a PRI is 17777. We kept waiting for the Airtel people to come and fix the EPABX. This waiting was for 2.5 to 3 Months. But Airtel duly kept sending bills to us, Whenever the collection agent came to our office we showed him the status and told him that we had no money due to be paid. upon this the agent put me onto his superiors and promised me to pay the 15 days rent for the first line otherwise it would be a big problem for him and he promised to have the issue resolved within 2-3 days. Also the person Mr. Patit who had sold our connection had left the company in the meanwhile. So they contacted him too and he too promised to get it resolved. So we gave them a cheque for Rs. 3500. This is the last we heard from the airtel guys. So we had to bounce the cheque. hoping somebody would come. even then the shameless guys did not come.
                Month after month this drama continued for 2 more months. But we would scold the collection agent and send him away. in the third month I told the airtel guy that I am not even interested in looking at his face and asked him to take all his stuff and go away. The collection agent felt bad and escalated it to the superior. Mr. Purushottam who took some interest and came down. He understood the issue in detail and asked for 3 days to fix the issue which he did dutifully. and after 2.5 - 3 months my PRI line began to work. Mr. Purushottam said that we needed to clear the Rs. 3500 as we had issued a cheque. (big mistake from my side). we even agreed to pay this. but we refused to pay Rs. 15K plus... rental for three months as we had not used their services and not a single call was made. They agreed to this. I told them that I will pay the Rs. 3500 a little later at the end of the month as we needed to check the line as we had been harassed for 3 Months. Now the installation was completed. Not fully but with 8 extensions only but at least we could make calls. we started to use their service and make and receive calls. Our number[protected] was given to a lot of people 3 Months back itself and as it was not working we lost Rs. 2.5 Lakhs worth of order as the customer kept trying the new number[protected].
                8-9 days the outgoing calls stopped working. This frustrated me to the core. Since I lost my cell phone The phone no. of Mr. Purushottam and a few others in airtel also were lost. some 10 days later i found Mr. Purushottam number and told him that the line was not working. He then said that since we had not paid the previous bills the outgoing was cut. I was furious at this. It was made clear to airtel that we would pay the Rs. 3500 which we promised to pay (for not using their super services) at the end of the month after checking the quality of stability. Now this was almost the end of the month and our same old friendly airtel collection agent came up with a total outstanding bill in the excess of 20K. I told him "listen I am only going to pay for the outgoing calls I have made." Please give me one month of quality uninterrupted services before asking for a complete month's rent."

                Airtel said that if would not pay this money they would take the equipment away and terminate the line. I asked them for a termination letter and take their epabx away and not show their face. (I did not receive this letter till date) I even wanted to lodge a complaint with the consumer court. Infact now we have receive a lawyer notice from them for the dues.

                Some days later somebody from the retention team called me up to enquire the reason for discontinuing the services. They said the will resolve the issue and wave of the charges due. I said that if they wanted to start afresh they were welcome. This was the last call from anybody in airtel.

                One more thing they said the rent was Rs. 5000 + taxes.
                suddenly when i saw the bills I noticed they had Rs. 500-600 as additional charges which were not mentioned at sign up. EVERYBODY PLEASE MAKE NOTE OF THIS TOO.

                UNFORTUNATELY I HAVE THE OTHER LAND LINE AND MOBILE ALSO OF AIRTEL AND SINCE THE NUMBERS ARE PUBLISHED EVERYWHERE I HAVE TO BE WITH THEM. OTHERWISE AFTER THE PRI EPISODE I WOULD NOT HAVE USED ANYTHING OF AIRTEL EVER AGAIN.

                I am totally agreed with the complaint. as we are facing similiar problem. it is 2 months passed but still pri at our site is not working.

                We have total 5 PRI connections with the Account numbers are 15040280, 14843666, & we are paying the outstanding amounts before due dates, there is no outstanding amount to be paid, we given complaint before 4 months back regarding some of our important extensions are not working, but till date nobody respond regarding this, we given complaint so many times through the mail, the mail ID's which we sent the complaints are Shivakumar1.[protected]@airtel.in & sunil.[protected]@airtel.in. but they not respond even for one mail. we are very much frustrated about this issue, our Management is very much serious & decide to remove all airtel PRI lines, & go for another network, & we decide not to pay this month bill untill unless our problem will be rectified. this is the last & final request from our end. hope atleast this time you will respond.
                we have 3 PRI lines in our office (Hathway Cable and Datacom Ltd) and their numbers are 46085600, 46085700 & 40751200 respectively.In that PRI 46085600 & 46085700 is already merged as a single PRI line. now we want to seprate the 2 PRI lines sepratly with immediate effect.Kindly do the needful and also let us know if you have any suggestions.

                we have a problem for airtel pri, we are used existing pri connection reliance provider, right now we disconnected that and we have airtel pri but its not working by using automated voice call using with asterisk application,

                  Sir,

                  My original sim for [protected] is damaged and lost.

                  I have purchased duplicate sim[protected]
                  The sim is purchased on 30.4.09 from Airtel prepaid office Kottayam in Kerala. I have submitted copy of voter ID card and photo for the purpose.

                  At the time of purchasing the duplicate sim I was promised that the new sim will be activated within 48 hours. Now it is 5.5.09 9pm. Till now the sim is not activated.

                  When the duplicate sim is inserted, the display is "Inactive Sim".

                  I want activate sim[protected] with [protected]

                  For this purpose I contacted 121 many times and even emailed to [protected]@airtelindia.com, and to their nodal officer in Kerala. But all my efforts are in vein and the sim is still not activated.

                  If any unpredictable incidents happened by misuse of the lost original sim by somebody else, only Airtel will be responsible.

                  In the past, when my Reliance sim is lost, I approched the Reliance shop and I got my duplicate sim activated within an hour.

                  How much time will take for Airtel to activate a sim? (For just a process of pairing the sim number with the mobile number).

                    Until recently Airtel (Tamilnadu) was charging Rs50/- per minute during International Roaming for Incoming calls and is now charging Rs100/- per minute without making any intimation to the customers. Also Airtel was charging Rs15/ per message sent on International Roaming and now charging Rs25/. This is against the TRAI regulations. I wish Airtel should be customer friendly to avoid losing subscribers

                    AirTel — Unwarranted charges

                    I am being charged RS 10, three times a day for a service that my wife and I haven't subscribed for to our mobile nos [protected] & [protected]. I want these messages to stop coming to me immediately and a refund on the charges made so far.
                    Please unsubscribe me from the igmobi.com & refund all the unauthorised charges that you have made to my mobile bill.
                    Please refund the charges made to my mobile and unsubscribe me from this service. I have'nt subscribed to these services at all.

                    Airtel / Prepaid — Delay and inconvenience in activating my prepaid number

                    Dear Sir,

                    My Pre-Paid mobile connection ([protected] which is almost two and half yrs old) has been temporarily deactivated from Monday 04th jan 2010, inspite of having sufficient balance and vailidity. When I enquired with the customer care they have suggested that you need to submit the ducuments ( Identity card , address proof & a photograph) to any of the Airtel Gallery to get it reactivated.
                    I have submitted the necessary documents at Ghatkopar Airtel gallery on Thursday 07th Jan 2010 ( Submitted form serial no. 6028097). They have promised that the number will be re-activated within 24 hours.They have not provided me any contact number to get update of compalaint status. The nearest Gallery is more than 6kms away from my residance and I can not go regularily to know the status of my complaint. When my number was not reactivated even after a week I have revisited the same Ghatkopar gallery on 13th Jan 2010 where they have told me that your documents have been sent and also been accepted and they can not do more than that. I have again contacted to customer care which has suggested me that I should again subit the document and repeat the process to get my prepaid number reactivated.
                    I am really frustrated and do not want to submit the document again as the gallery people are saying that its already submitted and accepted. In the whole process I have wasted my quite a bit time, money and most important feeling frstated with their services. For last 2 weeks i am not able to use my number and missed so many critically important calls.

                    Please do the needful to resolve this.

                      Last month i had activated, a booster card for rate of Rs 85 with the information that local calls i.e., from airtel to alrtel with a cost of 20p and to other calls of 50p.But i was charged Rs 1.00 for all local mobiles. SMS facilities doesnt exceeded the actually mentioned offer.Moreover its my mistake too, because of not informing it earlier.But i need an proper explanation for this or please launch an better offer with free SMS and lower call cost.this is my kind request.

                      Last month i had activated, a booster card for rate of Rs 85 with the information that local calls i.e., from airtel to alrtel with a cost of 20p and to other calls of 50p.But i was charged Rs 1.00 for all local mobiles. SMS facilities doesnt exceeded the actually mentioned offer.Moreover its my mistake too, because of not informing it earlier.But i need an proper explanation for this or please launch an better offer with free SMS and lower call cost and list out the booster card details

                        Hii,
                        this is Niket Zaveri.
                        I was buy a new airtel prepaid connection last year with 1 year validity.
                        After that I was going out station for personal reason.
                        Now I am Coming back and start my sim card so its not working.
                        After that I am calling to Airtel customer care then they ask methat you are not use this card for three month and then your card will be cancelled.
                        What's this???
                        Now Airtel go down to this level cheating??
                        because I was paid for 1 year rental. and that time they are not ask me that things.
                        They get full rental and not giving service??
                        Is in india customer is important? and where is the authority body who undertake this??
                        I cant understand that things.
                        I am proud to my India but how can this proud??
                        Hope getting satisfaction.

                          I am using airtel no [protected] for more than a year, two months back I have requested to airtel customer care that due to construction work at my home I am unable to use the line for internet as well as telephone so kindly cancel my this number but AIRTEL replied me after 2-3 days that do not cancel the line & we will give you 2 months rental waiver so you donot have to pay till the time you are not using the line.

                          But the last bill no[protected] dt 18/04/09 show the use of line & shows outstanding amount of Rs 285/-, I am surprised to see the bill which shows the numbers which are unknown to me and calls are made from 10/04/09 to 13/04/09.

                          I have requested to airtel customer care regarding misuse of line on 20/04/09 request no 19011544, the executive assured me that the matter will be sorted by 28/04/09 and also send SMS regarding this.When I does not receive any call from the airtel by 28/04/09 then I again called them on 30/04/09, 1/05/09, 2/05/09 many a times but they does not gave any satisfactory reply some times Airtel executive hold the line for long durations & sometimes says that can not reply due to their computer error, it gave me lot of mental harrassment.

                          On 4/05/09 when I contacted Airtel their executive MR Abishiek id no 76502307 assured me that within half an hour you will get the response from our Senior. but again they does not fulfill their promise and again when I contacted again on 5/05/09 I got reply that The line is used by your side and so you have to pay the bill, I requested the executive check the number which are shown in the bill wether in the last more then a year I never called on these no. so please check fault at your side but he refused and pressurise me to pay the bill.

                          This whole episode give me lot of mental tensions and lot of my time is also wasted due to airtel non fulfillment of promises

                          Kindly see into the matter seriously and give your valuable suggestions

                          Airtel — Misusing telephone number

                          Sir,
                          I am Indhu from Dubai. More than 4 years to I am using Airtel number, [protected]. When I am coming for leave that time I am taking internet connection also. Every 6 months I am coming for leave. I was used my number till last January 5th and renewed till 2012. But last 3 months to one lady is using this same number. How it happened?

                          Now somebody told me that, if our number are not using 6 months it will be cancelled. But within 3 months my number given to somebody.

                          Now my sim is showing "no service". Tomorrow, (17/07/10), I will reach Kerala. That time I need my number. So, within 24 hours you have to activate my sim. Otherwise I will complaint to Police, media etc.

I have been contacting the customer service for the past 24 hours..every time they say that it would take one hour for activation and the services are yet to get active..it is causing me great inconvenience and loss of business

                            The response from Airtel customer service has been dismal to say the least and completely non supportive. Please get back on the same

                            Without the knowledge of the User, Airtel is activating all paid services and deducting money from Prepaid Accounts. This amounts to stealing and shocked to see such a big Company is indulging in stealing of Consumers Money even after the Deactivation is given to them.                               I have approached to the Airtel Showroom which was situated at Perundurai road, Erode, Erode district, Tamil nadu State, on 2nd May for my payment to my 3 mobile numbers which comes around Rs.3500/-. The person at the cash counter told the receipt for the cash payment was not provided by the Company and they are unable to issue cash receipt if they accepted the cash. Hence i return back not to make any payment for the charges levied for my mobile phones.How can I pay cash for the bills without receipt?. The company may give clarifications.

                                I Abhishek Jain, is subscriber of Airtel against number [protected], number is activated on 14th march. I am facing problem since very first day( all the compalints are already registered at Customer care).

                                Recently on friday 01.05.2009, my services were barred at around 1.00pm without any intimation.
                                On confirming from customer care i came to know that due to non payment they had discountinued my services( which is already made on 29.04.2009), i again asked them to check the same, after putting me on hold for 25 min they( Mr Pratap, Floor supervisor) said that this is the fault of Airtel, we are sory for inconvinience.

                                Now my concern is that due to this discontinued services company had denied to reimburse me the amount of last bill, in result i hadf asked Airtel to Kindly give me in writing so that i can asked my company to kindly get reimburse me the amount as that was not my fault.

                                I request you to kindly help to get resolve my complain.

                                  The worst service on earth is provided by AIRTEL. My prepaid contact no is [protected]..I have been trying to contact customer care...but in vain... the line never gets connected. I have been receiving the messages like.. can you chat with young girl xyz...call now... per minute charge is two rupees. I have not asked for it but I am getting those messages.. and every now and the Rs 10.00 is cut every now and then for those services... I want to disable that stupid service... I wonder whether there is a way on earth for that.

                                  i dont know if anyone actually reads these complaints...but still, am going to put forward an earnest request. airtel's customer care service is degrading day by day. the worst possible service, sure as hell, is provided by the lazy, flirty and incorrigible executives in guwahati. me and all the airtel users back in guwahati would be extremely obliged if someone could chuck them out and appoint a few with atleast the average grey matter...and some useful solutions to our problems!
                                  and yes, we would also be extremely grateful if airtel can stop sucking our blood by cheating us outta our money!
                                  I am not able to get in touch with the customer services of airtel and is the worst scenario of any customer service provided. The number 121 or 123 never connects to the customer care and has all the other options in the world to know about all the features of family and friends, value vouchers, any new scheme and other facilities provided by the company. My balance is getting deducted by Rs 2 every day to have reduced call rates which i dont want and want to stop immidiately.

                                    I am using Airtel prepaid sim card no ([protected]). I generally activate internet (Mobile Office) per day Rs 20 plan by sending MO to a 4 digit number. Yesterday I haven't send MO for requesting internet, before sending the message I have connected to internet. I got connected to internet. I have used for 1 hour. Then I realized that I haven't activated the internet by sending MO message. Then i checked the balance the entire 218 rupees was deducted from the balance. I called up customer care 121, they are telling sorry for the inconvenience and asking to call 12118.If I call 12118, they asking call 121 and complaint the same. They are telling it has been activated for entire Karnataka Airtel number two weeks ago. I raised the questions like without asking conformation form the customer how can u activate? Even if so why it was not deducted from 2 weeks ago. The customer care not ready to refund the amount. Totally frustration only. After the call the Internet access also deactivated. This is worst service and charging money like anything and careless customer care.

                                    Can anybody from Airtel reply to this complaint?

                                      Please UNSUBSCRIBE cricket pack from my mobile for which Airtel is deducting Rs.3/- per day from my account. I have never subscribe to this service. I have contacted customer care four times in a week. Each time they say, it will stop withing 24 hours and amount deducted till now will be refunded. This is being happening since last 1 week and after getting 9 SMSs the day before yesterday that VAS has been now been deactivated, still everyday I am getting these messages and Rs. 3/- is getting deducted.

                                      If this thing does not stop, can I registered a case with Consumer Court? This is clearly a case of extorting money from customers without permission and mental harrasement.

                                        Air Tel Gallary Thane Naupada, Thane Hariniwas and Mulune East were not ready to suspend/disconnect the air tel connection, since connection was not required by me. They told that unless billing cycle is completed we will not take any coplain. Air tel Gallary is not responding to old customers request and jus fooling around and asking to speak to customer care.e
