My mobile used to receive funny jokes for the past 4-5 months. I have not requested it. Only last week, i came to know that you cut daily 1 RS for it. I dont even read those jokes. I contacted Manipal, Karnataka airtel office on last Friday that is 16-1-09, I asked them to remove it. But still i received the message on 17-1-09. When i contacted them, they said it will take 48 hours. But when the message continued even on Tuesday, then I went to your office and enquired. He said it was sent only on 19-1-09 and asked me to wait. Yesturday I received two messages -one funny joke and the other was from you stating that funny jokes service is cancelled and thanked me for my patience. Today, 22-1-09, I have received funny joke. Is this is your service. So I have decided to go to consumer court after lodging a complaint with TRAI regulatory board. This is not the service expected from a company like you

    i am airtel user since many years, i am new to this web site complaints board... i saw plnty of complaints they resemble to my problem... since 2 and half months...i am unable to access Airtel GPRS on my Nokia 6270 ( at dahisar east), Initially the same service was smooth for around 3 mnths or more... but since last couple of months life is like a struggle...

    things i did :

    A) got my mobile checked at nokia gallery...dadar cell was cleared had no problem...

    B) Activated gprs on other airtel no. with latest Samsung Phone the no. was of my relative... but the same problem with that no. too.. cant get service at my place, but at other places it functions properly...

    C) since last 15 days i hav kept my gprs activated, which i deactivated yesterday

    D) Checked with retailer at my locality and learned the same problem faced by others in my area

    E) One of my friend who also uses airtel faces the same problem as mine at my locality

    things Airtel did :

    A) since 3 weeks, actually more dan dat... i hav to undergo irritating schedule of dialling options to get thru my call to customer care... Cust care exec at the end like a fool buy some more time.. saying apki suvidha agle 9 ganto main uplubdh kar di jayegi...

    B) Inspite of my repeated calls and complaints the technical team calls me at day time when i am at my office, where i hav better comp and a broadband...to complete my tasks.. ( they never call at morning time when i am at my home...where the problem really occurs, No where else but only my home is theplace where i want my gprs facility)

    C) Technical team does nothing but asks where u stay? are u able to see area inf o on ur cell phone screen...??!!

    D) Technical team sends me repeated Gprs settings & Mo settings...

    E) Customer care tries to fool me by saying may be msgs dat u send to activate or deactivate the service might be wrong sir!! ( this is rediculous, i mean when i am using a service since so long, do you think i can make mistake in sendin some text msgs ??!! as claimed by cust care and technical team jokers...)

    F) On Few occasion customer care Dudes hang up the phone in the middle of a conversation, and that is like an insult...( how dare they can do dat...they r paid to handle dat job.. they are there to listen to people... and no one calls to hav some fun... specially when he or she is calling repeatedly for the same silly problem...)

    G) Whether we get the service or not, Airtel do collects... the amount every day i pay 15 rupees...for the service which is really now a headache to me...


    Being a 3d Movie compositor i need net at my office and even at my residence At office i hav Broadband and for residence airtel was a great help in that case initially, i just wana check my mails or sometimes surf a bit.. some times some smalloffice work on holiday i can finish at the comforts of my house, but cus of no net service i am forced to move to office for those things... can any one help me in this problem... i am stuck with my balance..amt with airtel... if any airtel guys are reading this complaint of mine than they shud really come up and improve there system... Stop providing this customer care service to some organisations who are least bothered whether there client airtel is earning or not...whether their(airtels) customer are satisfied or not... they are their to fullfill there task and that is to hire some snubs who are more interested in some conversation around dan the call they are attaining... and stop asking for details everynow and dan, that is annoying...cant airtel custcare see the information about the customer on the system on their desk ? why do the customer hav to narrate the whole story every time he makes a call...?? whether its a senior or cust care exec all ask the same thing :- no. pls, sir abhie apka prepaid balance kitna hai, how can i help you, can you tell the problem...? why u want to talk to a senior... if you dont share your information how am i able to help you ok dan thnk you for calling airtel... aapka din shubh ho... ( this is hw they end up the call ebruptly.. this is humiliating... agar aap information nahin dete hai to sir aapka din shubh ho airtel me call karne ke liye dhanyawaad...)

    some executive kept me online for around 18 to 20 mins than they hang up the phone... some of the seniors they were really nice and humble...but than next day we arent connected to those gud fellas again... i hav to talk to some weird senior again... and undergo the pain again... atleast there shud be direct mailing id... not one who generates computerised silly replies... or a direct airtel heads contact no.s

    Pls friends help me, if you hav any way out... can any one tell me why cust care aks for cell area display, why day ask for details... repeatedly is there some reason..why they ask the balance again n again... thanks... my no. is [protected]

        i have applied for a airtel broadband connection on 30 Dec 2008, and given the check on the same date. but the check has been encashed by the company with in 3 days. till now i haven't got the connection. and very poor response from the agent who has taken the application.

          We have 14 connections of airtel (Numbers [protected], [protected], [protected], [protected], [protected], [protected], [protected], [protected], [protected], [protected], [protected], [protected], [protected], [protected]) for which we changed talk plans on 10th Jan 2009 but they deactivated our clip services. we have made several request to airtel regarding activation of clip services. but my clip service is not actiivated till now.

          please take the necessary actions against them we are now facing problems for last 10 days.

              Hi,

              I am using Airtel prepaid connection for more than 3 years. And initially i was using the Talk more plan. I changed my plan to Budget 25 plan and started using it. Its around 2 years since i changed my plan. I want to convert my plan back to Talkmore. I called customer care for plan change they asked me to send TM to 404 and i did the same. I recieved a message saying the plan cannot be converted. Again i called customer care and asked what was the problem. They informed me that i need to convert it first to Budget plan then the next month i can convert to talkmore. So i send BUD to 404. Again the same message the plan cannot be converted. I was literally irritated and called customer care 121 they asked to post complaint by dialing 198 . It got connected to the complaint section and while on the call it got disconnected. And the next time when i dialled 198. The voice message "please dial 121 for more information". So i called 121 here also the same voice message "please dial 121 for more information".

              Is it the way the customer care which is not useful for the customer...

                Yes, I too faced this problem. (Actually other Telecom Companies too make such mistakes at times)
                The Only Solution is to call the Customer Care People and make a complaint. My complaint was taken and the deducted amount got credited in 24 hrs. They felt sorry for their action.

                I too got an SMS from 64611007 stating that "You've been renewed for (subamaze, Text Based Services)subscription service on Airtel Sms.You've been charged Rs.7" . I never subscribed for any such service and AIRTEL started deducting Rs.7 every day from my prepaid mobile account.

                After speaking with the Airtel customer care executive I could solve this issue. This is how to do it.

                1. Send SMS STOP to 121 from your Airtel Mobile.
                2. You will receive a SMS showing the services active on your mobile. You should reply to the SMS with the serial number of the service you want to stop.
                3. Now you will receive another SMS for reconfirmation. Reply to this SMS with the serial number
                of the serivce you want to stop.
                4. After some time you will get an SMS stating that the selected serivce is stopped.

                    i got the airtel broadband connection through Mr. Praveen Sharma. he told us that you take broadband combo pack, in which you providing 100 Mbps internet connection and land line.and he also told that you could disconnect your landline phone after one month and only use the broad band connection.
                    but after one month he never recieve our call and when i ask to the customer care for disconnect the land line phone, he told that there is no any such type of facility that without land line you use the broad band connection.
                    after this i called to Mr Praveen Sharma about this and told for disconnecting the land line, he did very miss behivor such abusing and told that DO WHAT I CAN.
                    i suffer this problem since 3 months of land line bill.

                      Dear Sir,

                      This is to inform You that, I have a Mobile Phone connection and my number is [protected]. A Couple of weeks before I recieved a SMS from 678510 and the contents of the message was an offer to use Hello Tunes on Trial basis for a week without any charges. Accordingly, I was searching for a good song fro the Voice album and before I could able to finalize a song the phone was disconnected. Within 5 minutes Rs. 10/- was deducted from my account. How-ever I had to tolerate this cheating. After 10 days, without informing me again Rs. 10/- deducted. Another message from the number 543211 came on 10th January containing words that I have selected one song for my Hello Tunes and another message came from 678510 regarding adjustment of Rs. 10/- from my account ; where as on that day I haven't selected any song for Hello Tune. Even a line of the message was regarding unscribing the facility by dialing[protected], but the same number did not speak anything regarding unscribing. Again, today another message came to me for continuance of the facility and deductions of Rs. 30/- from my account for one month.

                      Regarding the unscribing facility not working, I have sent a SMS to the number 543211 to discontinue my facility, but still they are deducting the amount by way of Forgery from the customers like us. Hence, I request You to intervene in the matter and stop providing these unnecessary facility of my number and corresponding amount may please be credited to my account.

                      Airtel — duduction of amount from my account

                      I have subscrided airtel online service facility on march 15th-08. and on march 16th -08 i had send one msg "AO CNCL" on 222 . But as of now my online service is still in operation and regularly from march onwards rs [protected]@day is been deducted from my account. On may 4th I contacted airtel customer care people they ensured me that upto 15th may this service will be deactivated from my cell and the amount from 4th of may to 15th of may will be reimburesed to my account .. but as of now nothing has happened ..They have also registered my complaint twice and have also given me the complaint code i.e.[protected] &[protected].
                      Airtel being such a brand name in this country, I was never expecting such type of problem.. From past 6 years i am using airtel service and it were good but due to this incidence i have completely lost my faith on airtel...
                      Since today morning, Airtel has started sending me SMS 'Thank You for downloading MP3 using Airtel WAP service. You have been charged 15 Rs'. I received 15 such SMS in matter of half an hour. More than 300 Rs were deducted today for services I never used. At present, to avoid my account to become zero, I had to switched off my mobile phone.

                      I called up Airtel customer care from Airtel showroom and have asked for a complain number, but the lady denied me a complaint number stating that their system is down. Can someone please help?

                        I am having an Airtel prepaid connection with Mobile No.[protected]. On 18.01.09 at 1.57 PM, I received a message from 57886 stating that I have been successfully subscribed to the Mozook Fun club. It is also stated, to stop SMS CSUB to 57886. Immediately, at 2.07 PM, I sent the SMS to 57886 as CSUB. For this I was charged Rs. 3/-.Again I received an SMS on 19.01.09 at 5.16 PM stating that I am using Text based Subscription service on Airtel WAP and I was charged Rs. 10/-. Again, I received a message from 64611010 on 20.01.09 at 4.08 PM stating that I am using Text based Subscription service on Airtel WAP and I was charged Rs. 10/-. Immediately, I sent one more SMS to 57886 as CSUB at 20.01.09 at 4.09 PM. For this I was charged Rs. 3/-. Then, I received one more SMS from 57886 stating that this service is not available temporarily and we regret for the same.

                        Really, I am unable to understand what is going on my mobile. Why this type of looting the subscriber’s money. These are big companies and they should have broader outlook rather then this type of narrow mindedness.

                        Is it not the stealing of public money. Can anybody help me to come out of this robbery from Airtel. It will be greatly appreciated, if I am recouped the stolen talk time from me.

                          I request you to please close my airtel connection. After repeatedly calling airtel people my connection is getting closed. They are disconnecting the call in between when i was trying to lodge my complaint.

                          I got the new conection on 13thJan, 2008.

                              I had taken a Airtel post connection under 199 CUK Plan-KK, this only state Government Servants told by marketing Executive of Airtel company but after a month I have been charged with Rs 2000/- bill which was delivered to my home address I contact the customer service center till date they have come with summary of bills nor they are responding to my calls, I have decided to go to consumer court to take legal action. I request all customer to be aware of this type come company cheating comman citizen

                                  I am a corporate custommer of Airtel Celular services.

                                  I am recieving a message from 64611010 for last one week informing me about a deduction of Rs 10/-.The message reads "thanks for using (subscription, text based services ) subscription service on airtel wap. You've been charged Rs10.Enter funzone http://igmobi.com

                                  I have not subscribed for any such service and look forward to immediate stoppage of this nuisance.Sending a message in reply has failed for last three days.

                                  Please put an end to my suffering asap.

                                  My name is Ramkrishna Shukla and I hold two airtel numbers viz; [protected] & [protected]. The later number is used by my wife. Since last few months I have come across that the Airtel people without my authorisation activate services on my above numbers and deduct money from my balance. Whenever I came to know about this I have informed this to Airtel Customer Complaint Department on 198. After my compliant they deactivate the services but didnot returned my money which was deducted unauthorisedly.

                                  Every time I called I told them that I donot want any kind of service on any of my phone, but every time after few days I discover that some service is activated on my above numbers and balance has been deducted.

                                  From last few days the same thing is happening on my number [protected] and to my surprise they have even blocked my number i.e. whenever I call on 198, it does not get connected to the customer care executive. I called from my other number and there also I could not get connected. then I used one of my relatives airtel number and it got connected within 1 minutes. They said that no services are activiated on my number. But still every day my balance is deducted.

                                  I am so fedup with this thing that either I will close down this number or I will use the MNP. I am using my airtel number since last 6 years. Airtels network is worst and their services even worst than that. They use this kind of malractices to increase their revenue.

Same time I have recharge Rs. 69.

                                    When I called local Airtel number after 48 hrs then an amount was deducted from my previous amount. In this connection when I contacted to the Costumer care he told me that this facility is only from 11PM to 6AM. I would like to inform you that after 11 pm I never use my phone. It is regretted that you have not mentioned this condition in your sms. When I again contacted in second time to the costumer care, he told me that after some time 50 rupees will be transferred in my account. But one again regretted to inform you that no money has been transferred in my account so far
                                    You are requested to please transfer an amount of Rs 50/- in my account at the earliest otherwise I will be impressed to take the help of consumer court.

                                    My mobile number is [protected]/25 in my name & my wife's name (Dr. R.K.Langer& Mrs Rama Langer).This is a post paid service.We reside at Ph-21, Pallavpuram, Phase - II, Modinagar, Meerut-250110. Every month I get SMs " Services of your Airtel Mobile number has been discontinued due to documentation not received, kindly contact your ARC immediately". I get in touch with the company then the service is restored. Then again next month the same SMS. How many times I have to get my identy verfied. Do you mean to say that I have to waste all my time on this only. I am a senior Scientist in ICAR orgasnization which is a govt Organisation. How to get out of this mess.
