Hi,

I have relocated from India to Canada on business purpose. Since I would be away from India for an year, I had disconnected my mobile number bearing [protected] in the month of August. I was paying the Airtell bill theough ECS from my Salary account. I have recieved a mail from Airtel group that my services had disconnected effectiveky Aug-1st. Unfortunately I have been deducted the amount from my bank account from Airtel though the connection was disconnected. I had sent couple of emails to [protected]@airtelindia.com but all in vain.
Could you please provide a number that I can call from Canada and talk to the concerned people? I am very dissatisfied with the delay from your side.
I had sent couple of reminders but did not receive any response.
It would be great of you can help me in this matter.

I am Gurpreet singh, i have a mobile having airtel connection my no is: [protected] . daily my balance gets deducted for rs 10/- total 90 Rs i have lost.i had fieled lot of complaints in airtel but there is no responce from customer care. they always say there is network problem and cut the phone. my complaint no is[protected]. i am fed up of call ing there. they gave me a call on 7/02/09 that my money will be refunded in 5 hrs. but till now its not there. they are that they are charging TAX BASE SERVICE which they will de activate but till now there is no action from there side. kindly tell me wat to do.

I am having a problem with Airtel India call service. I did not use my account for 6 months and they deactivated my account. Even after requests to activate my account stating a reason that I missed the conditions that I should use my account within 6 months. Aitel flatly refused to reinstate the balance just after 2 months. This seems very unfair. They run free promotions all the time.

The problem was also when I recharge using my credit card they do not show any message warning me to use the balance or use the account atleast once every 6 months.

I do not intend to use these service again.

am Aravind Ramanna, is a costumer of airtel from the day when out going was Rs 16 and income was Rs 8, now am using cell number[protected] from past 4 years even though i was not in town for a long time i kept the number in use paying sufficient funds for that, now am back in town and asked airtel to change the number from prepaid to billing, visited airtel outlet in sanjay nagar main road, bangalore, paid them the amount on Rs 1850/- its more than 15 days i gave that money, called costumer care around 12 times and visited the outlet everyday.with no reply or result.

am really fed up o[censored] r service.

if possible do the needful.

    same prob with me.. I've in toto lost more than a thousand bugs in just 4-5 msgs. They charge for taxed base service, ezmail etc etc without any use.

      i am using AIRTEL sim card in sony ercisson w580i but it is not selecting network automatically. and when i contacted them, they said that you are using sony ercisson mobile W580i and it has some problems with AIRTEL cards, if you get an duplicate sim by paying some amount your problem will be solved. i want to know that why i have to spend more and is it not the mistake ofAIRTEL. how can they produce and distribute this kind of sim cards, and getting extra money for providing duplicate sim card.

          Hi,

          I am subscribed to NDNCR since May 08, however I started receiving unwanted calls from Airtel (Bharti cellular) which were autmatic IVR's .. I had complained to Airtel with the number and theNodal officeer also. I was given an assurance that this would not be repeated with a reference number. However I called the call center again and requested to be forwarded to the concerned deptt. so that I can understand if Airtel is an exclusion from the rules and regulations set by TRAI. I have not received a single response on that. On the other hand Airtel should respect the Indian Law code rather Airtel doesn;t bother at all, We as subscribers have to pay penalties but what is the liability of the telecom operaters as governed by Indian Laws and TRAI. Shouldn't they be indemnifying the subscribers.

          One more point which I would like to bring out as part of this complaint is that even after paying the bill and the late fees, the service is deteriorated and still we are charged for the whole. I just paid my bill for the month of Nov 08 and my mobile is barred and emails are not responded. I filled a complaint to the customer care, they always tell they have an upgradation activity on for past couple of years, I have recrded conversations on that, if travelling we are more penalised because local helpline (121) for any city would say they cannot access another cities account (number).

          I would like to take this forward for all the others also who have suffered and make Bharti understand a few basics of Indian Laws..

          Airtel — NDNC does not work

          Amount of SMS spam is too much now a days. http://www.airtel.in/applications/dnd/DND_Complaint2.jsp site does not work properly . I logged the complaint on 12/7/2010 and airtel responds back on 5th aug and says 15 days over and they cannot do any thing. The issue is their site processed the request on 26/7 which is really stupid.

            I have a Airtel Pre-Paid connection (Number:[protected]. I was using it happily, one day it stopped functioning, no calls I was able to make as well as no incoming calls. I contacted Airtel, Indira Nagar office and they communicated that recharge validity was over. I couldnot recharge it on time due to my hectic work schedule and vacations.
            After three weeks of follow-up & by paying Rs 199/-, with help from Airtel Indira Nagar office; My pre-paid was active again (with life time validity) couple of days back.
            The problem is: I had a balance of Rs 820/- in my account before this life time validity recharge which is not transferred to my account. I contacted Airtel Office & Airtel Customer Care; they confirmed that Rs 820/- was in balance before this recharge BUT they will not be able to transfer it back to my account.
            My point is that my money which got lost (Rs 820/-) due to this account recharge should be refunded back to me. It should not happen that because of account reactivation, whatever balance I have in account gets lost. Pls help in this regard.

            i am sobiya using airtel 4 the past 3year. my number is [protected]. and i have all my staf[censored]sing airtel too. i am subscribed 2 airtel radio and airtel freinds chat and wat and all stuff without my concern and every month so much money of mine is been deducted from my account.i simply don believe this. this is not the way the customers are been taken care. i wan you to take severe action and refund me all my money back othewise i will have to surrender my number, my airtel landline number, my airtel office number and all my staffs airtel number to. i want a response within today.

              To whomsoever it may concern

              I subscribed for a Airtel postpaid connection (Phone No. :[protected] in the month of January, 2008 from a authorised vendor of Airtel (Shop Name: Prime Telecom, 7 Bunglows, Versova, Mumbai.) and after taking the connection he asked me to submit Rs. 599/- (Rs. 500/- as a security deposit and Rs. 99/- for the activation charges). I have a paper reciept from the same vendor mentioning that I have deposited the money for the same. When I asked him that this security deposit of Rs. 500/- is refundable or not then the shop owner said that it will be returned in 40 days after you submit your connection or terminate your subscription. I have never been the defaulter in terms of my bill payment to Airtel and I have all the reciepts of the bill payment. Even, not on a single ocassion I have made any late bill payments to the company. I got my subscription terminated in the first week of September, 2008. And after waiting for more than 40 days, I have not, yet recieved my security deposit which was refundable. I enquired with a Airtel Relationship Centre, Chakala, Andheri (E), Mumbai. But, they are trying to escape by saying that the security deposit amount is not being shown in their client information records and when I produced the reciept (mentioning that I have deposited the security amount) they are saying that they cannot do anything and I have to negotiate with the vendor only. I cannot fight with the vendor because he is saying that he has passed on the information to his distributor as soon as he recieved money from me in January, 2008 and as of now, the distributor has closed down its operations. Therefore, I am submitting my complaint against Airtel for doing monetary fraud with me. Kindly look into the matter because at a personal level I can forget my Rs. 500/- amount but company is going to make big bucks by cheating 'n' number of people in the same way.

              Airtel-postpaid connection — non-refund of security deposit

              I have been an airtel customer for 6 years. Details of my mobile number:

              However since i moved to another city, i had to disconnect my post-paid connection.Initially when i called up the customer care center and asked the procedures for disconnection. I was told by the lady that a request for disconnection can be made through the call center. I promptly put a disconnection request, but to my dismay i found bills still coming with the monthly rental. When I called up the customer center again, I was told that phone request for disconnection is not accepted and I need to go to certain centers in Bangalore for the same.We did that n the Cox town airtel center and I was promised that the refund will be given to me of my security deposit within 45 days. However it is past 60 days and I have not received my refund.I called up the customer center number 121 and they gave me another number [protected] which never goes to any voice operator.
              I had sent a mail to the airtel nodal officer on may 12.No response from the, Then i called up the nodal officer after a week.She said that she would check the same and call me immdeiately with the detailed status. No calls from her as well. I feel airtel is a cheat.

              Airtel-postpaid connection — Airtel charging for unwanted services and not ready to close it

              Rakesh here, I have 3 airtel connections and for last 3 months, I have been receiving daily SMS from Airtel Masti package for which I have not signed up, airtel have been charging me on weekly basis for this unwanted service.

              I have raised 10 complaints with Airtel customer executives for shutting of the unwanted service and to waive of the extra charged amount, all the Airtel executives said that the service would be closed in 24 hours, however I have been receiving SMS till date with extra charges piling up every week.

              The customer care executive is ready to close the Airtel number but for some reason they are not ready to shut the unwanted service.

              This is very ridiculous and frustrating, I have wasted lot of time speaking to the customer executive and I guess the only thing possible is closing the number.

              If any one can please help me, I hate changing numbers

              AUGUEST 07 : I CALLED CUSTOMER CARE BEFORE GOING TO SINGAPORE THAT I AM USING AIRTEL GPRS OF 499 WHEATHER I WILL BE CHARGED EXTRA MONEY IF I GO TO SINGAPORE .AIRTEL CUSTOMER CARE EXECUTIVE REPLIED “NO SIR SINCE YOU ARE USING AIRTEL UNLIMED GPRS PLAN SO NO CHARGES SHALL BE APPLICABLE TO YOU “ I WENT TO SINGAPORE ON 29TH AUGUST AND CAME BACK ON 3RD SEPTEMBER . I THIS 5 DAYS PERIOD BY BILL WAS RAISED TO 15000 AND IN WHICH RS 13000 IS DUE TO GPRS .

              MY QUESTIONS :

              1 Why I was misscomunicated about that there will be no GPRS charges .
              2. When my Limit was Rs 3000 why was my phone not disconnected and allowed to reach bill of 15000 plus .


              Still I have paid Rs 2300 in 1st week of September07 which was genuine .
              Now I am getting harassment and threatening calls .Also fake calls are made to my relatives .

              Kindly look in to this matter as this is really frustrating

              Airtel Postpaid Connection — want security deposit

              my wife was using airtel prepared connection and we received a lot of calls for convert this connection into postpaid, then we convert this connection into postpaid in month of February, and deposited 250 rs for security deposited. After this we start receiving a very huge bills with lots of charges when we went in customer care and asked them they said in next bill we deduct this amount, but they dint, at last we paid all charges and again convert this number into prepaid, in month of may. but dint receive our money in staring they said company will directly send a cheque but now they said its not a security deposit its staulation charge and we cant give this money back, and do what ever you want, i have a recipt of that amount, plz help.

                  This is to bring to your kind knowledge that I puneet jain is an old customer of airtel using services of airtel for the past 10 years. I was using[protected] at my residence. As i have shifted to a new location, i am unable to pay the outstanding. A manager NIDHI KAPOOR from airtel was foolowing up for payment. I was in touch continously but one fine day due to busy schedule i could not able to receive her call. She called up my board number and misbehaved with the staff member. She said " sirf chaar hazaar ke liye office ana band kar diya". Than she misbehaved with my sister in law. I have no problems with airtel but i am afraid if this is the kind of attitude of customer care that how would they survive.

                  i have a problem with airtel as there is no bill centre near our house we stay in kalkaji extn and there is no bill centre in the radious of 4 kilometres there is one easy bill shop who used to take the bills but now they have stopped taking bills they take the mobile bills and do some messsage and our bill is paid which they says is lappo system we are requesting u to please give them some system to pay the bills of landline to which will be benieficial for us and the locality persons ofour areas

To my utter surprise, after few months of activation of my number, the HSBC Bank is repeatedly sending SMS & also making calls from different branches of its organization, addressing me as Mr. Samar Karmakar. They are asking for making arrear payment towards the Credit Card issued by them in the name of Mr. Karmakar. Everytime I have replied them that my name is Suvankar Das and not Mr. Samar Karmakar and I don’t ever have any Credit Card. Inspite of that they are still keeping on dialing my number and asking for Mr. Samar Karmakar & also sending SMS. Some of the Nos. of HSBC Bank that I have noted are :[protected],[protected],[protected],[protected],[protected],[protected],[protec... &[protected]. Recently on[protected], the Doice Bank from[protected] number is also asking for the same.

                    3. I have also knocked the Customer Care Executives of your network several times. They also did not extend any help ; instead they advised me in a very casual manner to solve the problem by contacting the above telephone Nos of HSBC. From the above, you will see that all the number are STD numbers and I think that your Customer Care Executives are giving me improper advice.

                    4. Being aggrieved by the misbehavior of the Customer Care Executives of your esteemed organization, I would like to request your personal intervention into the matter. An intimation in this regard is highly solicited.

If at all I manage to pick the call immediately within one ring, they will either cut the line from other end, or there will not be any answer to my "Hello"...                     Also, i constantly keep receiving many text messages whch r sent by unknown ppl
                    Thy contain messages like join ths course, vehicle insurance and some idotic stuff
                    Sometimes i get messaged at 1 and 2 in the night.

                        I appeared 4 (four) times in your Airtel- Battala Brance, Agartal, Tripura office for surrender my airtel post paid sim. Lastly today on 26/11/08 at 4.45 P.M. a lady sited behind the board of Pre-Paid Service told to come another day.I asked her because Post-pai Service chair is empty just near by her.Some times a gentleman suggest me come with in 10.00 A.M. to 6.00 P.M. then come next day then come with your voter I card etc. today the lady told me to come with in 10.00 A.M. to 5.00 P.M. when he available. In the main time a phone call attained by me which is from Delhi office I said the fact but invain. Today I go there with all pending bill, Voter I card and carry some cash money to resolve the problem permanenly but I am afraid with serious gosiping officials in the Batlala Br. I vave no prove to attain 5 (five) times in your Airtel office with same problem.                           I am still receiving promotional calls on my personnel number when I was on roaming on 24/11/2008 at 5:11:18 pm. I received call from a person who said he is calling from ICICI LOMBARD and the number that flashes on my cell phone was [protected]. I don't know why you people are letting my number distributed to the companies just to remind you its prenominated in DO NOT CALL LIST .
                          Still I am receiving the call from you people as it happened between 11 Nov 2008 and 22 Nov 2008
                          Earlier also I have already lodged the complain with AIRTEL but you people won't understand
                          Try to have a look in my account there was a promise by Pawan an agent from Retention who promised Rs 300/ as the discount for the inconvenience caused which is regarding billing of the last month;yet not recd
                          I felt really cheated and I want compensation regarding this inconvenience caused .

                            I took Airtel prepaid connection on[protected] at 6-30 PM at HSR Layout Airtel Dealer in Bangalore and I submitted all of required documents mention by the company and I paid Rs 498/- . The Dealer is not taking proper responciability. I enquired in this regarding at Airtel office in BTM Layout they are also not helped me and they told that it is dealer's work. Your dealer is doing very worst servicing and
                            unnesseccarly delaying activation and cause sever

                              My advance rental is still not yet been refunded since I have converted my no to prepaid.

                              It's been almost four years I am using this no, since I have converted my no from post paid to prepaid, encountering a problem and feeling cheated by air tel. I am receiving service sms which I have never requested, this particular service is too disturbing that you have to delete it 20 times in a day the worst part is this deduct the money from the account.

                              I had faced this problem approx 03 month ago, in which with every services sms some value used to get deducted which was very shocking and surprising, because we recharge our card mainly for the talk time and our hard earn money gets deducted for the useless services of air-tel that too without any request from the user end for the same. To get this amount refund to my account I had to call up several times to the customer care no. Last night a got a sms from 64611099 in which they mentioned "Thanks for using Game Pack Java Game" I was latterly shock when I got this sms, I never use all this services & never requested for the same and AIR –TEL charged me Rs. 99 for same.
                              With the episode happened to me this time, I am really thinking that air- tel customer should never recharge their card for higher amount, I had recharged my card for Rs-444 out of which Rs 99 was deducted I immediately made a complaint –[protected], call attended by Mr. Yusuf Ali Khan on 16/ Nov/08

                              I am sure this is an illegal practice for making extra money which airtel is now following for their prepaid customer, because most of the customer don't even understand all this services sms. in today's time no one has spare time to keep calling your customer care again & again make them understand by telling the same story to every new call attended.

                              Please ensure immediate refund of my advance rental & the amount which has been deducted from my account. With the immediate effect stop sending useless sms which cause inconvenience to user else have take the help of media and have to go legally to solve & stop this illegal practice by AIR TEL

                              I have faced the same issue. In fact I have received two sms charging Rs. 99/- each hence 198/- is deducted from my a/c. When I called up the customer care, those keep saying, "we don't have the updates. Please call back after 4 days to receive our response".

                              i strongly support your grievances towards airtel. i think these matters should be drawn to the media to initiate a strong public awareness.
                              Same think happened to my wife's postpaid number last night, We have not checked wirth the cust care till now, but if these airtel guys are not going to remove these charges from the bill, i am definitely not going to leave them. If you have any consumer grievances cell where I can lodge my compalaint pls let me know. If there is any service msg that prompts you to download any game then atleast the cellphone should have any trace of any mobile game downloaded. I will definitely take them to the concerned authorities becasue I have proofs for airtel charging nonsense sms charges of 15 Rs or 25 Rs. (twice or thrice in a month ) when I was having a airtel postpaid in Delhi/NCR. If they dont stop these nonsese techniques to improve their revenues then we also need to think something different.
                              Hope (Mr Rinku Pal, Nodal Officer, Airtel, [protected] ) is also reading this and take some action in this regard.

                                  Hi All,
                                  My experience as a retail customer of Airtel was Good.
                                  However, Peoples like Mr. Zubair Khan (Manager - Enterprise Sales, Bharti Airtel Limited., Email ID : zubair.[protected]@airtel.in, Handphone : [protected]) is making customer's life miserable.

                                  Since I have joined a new company and I am try to convert my tarrif Plan since last 16 days, he is not at all responding to my calls and mails.

                                  Same is the feeling of all the employees in my office.
                                  And looking at this I can assume that he must be doing same with others too.

                                  Senior management should take note of this or else Airtel will be loosing his customer not only due to NETWORK probles in Mumbai but also due to VERY POOR sales service by people like Zubair Khan.

                                    i was shocked to found my balance being looted every time i browse wap. they send msgs you hv downloaded a java game ring tone or wallpaper. Airtel hv a wide net of fake wapsite which only loot you. u never know how u lost ur money and cce are too incompatible to serve. they deal rudely as compared to postpaid section. and u are left harrassd. u have nothing to argue with. i hv lost 400rs as a part of it. any advices are welcome at [protected].

                                      This mail is in regard with the airtel telephone no. +91 [protected] on the name of Mrs. Jaya Kumar.
                                      I would like to bring into your kind notice that there was a request to activate the advance rental plan on the mentioned number.

                                      Then in the next billing cycle the regular rental of Rs. 298 attached with the bill for two months.
                                      I requested to the showroom in sector-16A, Faridabad to sought out the matter but no response came from Airtel.
                                      After that they automatically activated the Advance Rental plan of Rs. 998 charging the previous amount of some Rs.600.
                                      I asked the Airtel service outlet to look into the matter and get me the mistaken wave off.

                                      For next one and a half month no response came and i asked to disconnect the no. the outlet manager asked me to throw the Sim card and said nothing will happen.
                                      Now after 2 months of shutting the no. down they are calling my parents and threatning for recovery of the amount .
                                      I still pateintly listened to them and was ready to pay some amount by negotiating but no response even came from the Legal Department.

                                      There is no outgoing bill then why the bloody hell should the customer pay the amount. The recovery people are threatning and harrasing my parents mentally regularly.

                                      This is my last hope .
                                      Kindly help in getting rid of this bloody irritating company.

This person has been troubling me with calls for almost a month now, calling at odd hours and passing extremely vulgar comments. He has been a constant menace continuously disturbing me in my daily routine. I strongly urge that immediate action be taken against the mobile user.
