Grievance Details

I would like to put forward the harassment I have been facing by ASUS company and their service centre. Since the purchase of the laptop in July 2020 (i.e., 6 months ago), it has been in the service centre for over two and a half months. I was provided with a faulty product and after multiple emails and calls to ASUS, I was denied any kind of compensation or replacement of the product. I am currently an engineering student and I had bought the laptop for my academic purposes and part times jobs to earn some money for expenditures.

I made the purchase of this laptop during the COVID-19 Pandemic and therefore arranging money for the same was tremendously difficult for me as my father didn’t have any source of income then. Since then because of the pathetic service and support I have faced a number of loses academically as well as financially. I would request a replacement of the laptop or a complete refund considering my situation. The detailed information is as follows and all the supporting documents are attached along. The Purchase and Initial Problems (23 July 2020):

I had purchased the laptop from OXYGEN, THE DIGITAL SHOP, on 23 July 2020 along with an ASUS branded Backpack a total purchase worth Rs. 1, 07, 300 (The bill is attached below.). I started facing an issue with the laptop’s Wi-Fi connection from the next day of purchase. The laptop would frequently disconnect, offer below 1 Mbps speed on a 40 Mbps home network. Also on reaching home from the store I noticed that the ASUS branded Backpack was torn on one side. I called Prashant Xavier, ASUS Sales Executive at OXYGEN, THE DIGITAL SHOP and explained to him the problems. The executive denied that the Wi-Fi issue calling it impossible to occur and clearly denied the replacement of the product. On telling him about the damaged backpack sold to me denied the replace of that too and asked me to use the damaged product.

1st Service (10 October 2020):

After being fed-up with the inferior internet speed, I was forced to take a Service. The laptop was taken to the service centre multiple times and each time the service centre would say it’s fixed on delivery the problem would still persist. It took more than 1 month to fix the Wi-Fi, and within that time frame, I was told that it is fixed 5 times. The Wi-Fi card used in the laptop by default was a faulty one and the Service team never accepted my claim on the same. The Laptop’s Wi-Fi problem was finally fixed after more than 10 emails sent by me. The laptop was returned to me on 31 October 2020.

(New Problem started, Random Shut Downs) 1 November 2020

The next day onwards after the laptop was returned to me from the service centre another problem started that is, that laptop would simply shut down without any reason or cause. It would happen randomly at any point of time or while using any application and at times this would happen even if the system was idle.

After this shut down I could check in the Windows inbuild application called Event Viewer about the reason for the last Crash/Shut down. Every time the reason was the same, the information obtained is as follows :

Since then I didn’t report the problem for the next three months because of the pathetic service offered last time. By that time the same incident has happened over 1000 (One Thousand) Times. But I was forced to report it on 04 February 2021 as this incident had terribly affected my studies and projects I was working on. This incident would destroy the project without any trace of retrieval.

2nd Service (04 February 2021):

The Laptop was again taken to the service centre for repair on 4th February 2021. It took them 1 month to fix the issue. In that 1 month, I had lost a lot of work and facilities for my studies. On 26 February 2021, the laptop was returned to me with 100% assurity from the service centre that the problem is completely fixed and that the incident would never repeat again.

The Problem occurred again (27 February 2021):

In just 24 hours o[censored]se the same problem to which I had asked service occurred twice.

For over 6 months I’ve been facing some or the other kind of issues with the laptop. This clearly states that I was provided with a faulty and defective product and I’ve been highly harassed by the ASUS Company. I request a speedy action to the same as this incident has highly affected my engineering studies and brought me to serious financial difficulties.

    Asus is just a fraud company, they are just a greedy company with lack of initiatives to support consumers. I just bought laptop G532lws-h127 offline.Problem that I am going through is that the laptop is getting really hot above 95 degree temperature. So I logged a complaint and asked for replacement. Next day technical team came checked and found the issue also taken proof of it. But after waited for 3days they are now telling me to bring the laptop in service center as they need to check for few days. My laptop is just 7 days old and when I have the option for replacement why they are harrasing me. Even buying from online like Flipkart and Amazon they provide 1month time for replacement or refund.

        The worst service possible in mankind. Thats sums their ### up! They keep escalating when you call and thats the last you will ever hear. Buy a different phone/laptop or whatever from any other brand. If you buy ASUS, forget their CUSTOMER service.

          Recently, when I started my ASUS TUF GAMING LAPTOP I found that the KEYBOARD BACKLIGHT WAS NOT WORKING for no reason.
          It was perfectly working earlier. It stopped working abruptly the next day. PLEASE DO SOMETHING.
          I even checked the brightness and other settings as well.
          REALLY DISAPPOINTED!

            I am writing to you to raise an issue about: Laptop & Accessories

            The issue that I have experienced was: Last month, I took my laptop to the naerest service centre for
            some sound or mother board related problem. After that, as my problem was solved but I found that a
            part of my laptop (a rubber lock) was missing then I talk to the service manager but I didn't get a
            better response from them. At last, after waiting a long I raise a complaint against them.

            So, please pay strict attention to my complaint.

              I have purchased a Asus Laptop of serial number L8N0CX04Z157358, Model F571GT from flipkart.
              As Rs.72, 000 laptop I purchased but in the box I didn't find any Recovery media, no any Recovery media DVD. So I just checked in your site also but not found any single Digital recovery media download link also. I have purchased this laptop on a faith over brand but this is the worst service I got from ASUS. I have Checked with tollfree number agent on Day 2 of the received Item & they have suggested to create the recovery media from the given OS.

              When I tried to update the window before creating the recovery media the windows update was not successful & windows corrupted. The Asus customer care told, they will not provide any recovery media.

              Is this the support for a Rs. 72, 000 Laptop you are selling. A single recovery media also you will not provide. I purchased the windows 10 from ASUS along with the system & I need the recovery media for the same.Because I have already given the money I need the digital media either to download from ASUS site or need USB recovery media at my home address.

              I spoke with one of your representatives Mr. Amol. But unsatisfied with his clarification. He is asking me to create a pendrive of my own. If ASUS have already taken money for Microsoft Windows 10 then again why I have to waste a pendrive of 16GB to create a recovery media of my own. Why the same has not been provided along with the system. check with your competitors Lenovo, Dell, HP Laptop, who are providing USB OS recovery media or they have the recovery media image for their system on cloud, which users can download anytime & anywhere. Why not then ASUS, It's my question to you ASUS CEO Mr. Samson.

              I am not going to purchase another pendrive to create a recovery media. I need the USB recovery media for windows 10 from ASUS.

                I have already complained about the problem of the leptop on 15th july 2018, id-2018729. As a customer of asus i am highly disappointed that my complaint has not been bothered even after two and a half year to the company. Along with the keyboard issue (i have already mentioned in my earlier complain) the charger is also not working from last months. Now I have no patience to wait for your response. Therefore, please let me know immediately that will you people response to my problem or should i take any other method?

                  Phone keeps shutting down again and again while I'm playing games.
                  It is clearly stated from you guys(ASUS ROG TEAM) that this is a gaming phone, and we can play games for a long time( 5-6 hrs a day) at a minimum.
                  But after the update of ROG PHONE II, it has been the worst shutting down automatically and either than restarting it goes under loop of bootloader. Didn't expect this from you guys. It was the best phone TILL IT SHOWED IT'S COLORS. Kindly do something about it. Spending 40, 000 is a not a small amount from either a rich or a poor guy. It's a huge amount. Is there anything you can do about it at the earliest. If a yes reply back with an email on [protected]@gmail.com, will be very helpful and grateful.

                    ASUS un-qualified and liar service engineer has ruined the whole laptop instead of fixing it,
                    on 2nd dec, 2020 I reported the touchpad issue and showed them the video proof too,
                    the asus engineer installed pirated windows and then after seven days changed the whole keyboard and touchpad combo but broke the motherboard, because of which i was not able to use its touchpad for 5 days and he also lied this from service center and told them to order the motherboard saying the it had problem.
                    then replaced the motherboard but did not apply thermal paste properly which made the laptop go 95degree celsius and crashed the laptop after which the laptop was not operable for 12 days and the senior there at the service center was scolding the engineer that is this the way to apply thermal paste and also told that if
                    then they again replaced the motherboard,
                    after this the temperature where still going 95 degrees and touchpad problem was still there and also the body was making noise since they opened it more than 10 times,
                    I showed them the video proof again and gone to their main branch service center and there he confirmed the touchpad problem and took laptop for installing software through recovery and gave back the laptop to me,
                    Within 5 minutes of testing the problem occurred in front of them and they lied on my face that there is no problem even after watching it by his eyes, so i recorded the video there itself and showed their higher officials but they are denying it saying our engineer says no issue is there, i told them bring a same laptop i will side by side the temperatures and other thing but they are not ready for that also
                    so for the same problem for which they changed the parts like touchpad and motherboards they are denying to even accept it,
                    I sent the videos of before repair and after repair showing the problem was the same,
                    and your engineers are responsible all these nonsense troubles given to me and you should replace this device but their higher official namely Ms Anita kept sending the same reply that we will arrange onsite visit and they are going to trap me in this process
                    their REGIONAL SERVICE HEADS MADAN CHAND, SANTANU said on call that " MOTHERBOARD THODA TO KYA PAISA TO NHI LIYA NA AAPSE", this is the attitude of their regional heads like they doing ma favour by breaking and replacing and breaking again and replacing parts.

                    Their frustrated voices in the calls clearly indicate that they will not accept the problem and if they get a laptop this time they will use their tricks and term my laptop out of warranty and then i will be helpless.
                    I am raising complaint again and again but they are to these people only.
                    Concluding they have done everything like installing of pirated windows, changing the keyboard and touchpad combo and then motherboard and then motherboard again and then software from servers and till this i was cooperating with asus and still touchpad problem is same and thermals problem has been created and reaching 95 degrees and now they are frustrated and not ready to accept the problem
                    Overall within one month of purchase asus has done multiple blunder repairs which didnt solve the touchpad problem as well created new problems of thermals and body along with two months of torture because of all this.

                            My graphic card stopped working suddenly.
                            So went to the asus service center and they passed the graphic card to the company but they rejected it. And the reason mentioned on it is said due to Customer induced damage (CID). And they damage they are specifying is burnt. My Graphic Card is under warranty. But then also such issue.
                            Please take this into consideration as a priority.
                            If the product was of less amount I would have neglected. But the cost of it is 40, 000 Rupees.
                            My experience with Asus is bad.
                            Please provide me replacement as soon as possible.

                              I purchased the product 3 months back, since then I am facing issues with product.I complaint against it there and then but it's in escalated mode Since last 4 months. Engineer comes and take the product for one week and issues are still the same.

                              Please either replace or return my money. It's the Rog system on which you feel very proud.i investment my money for ###.

                                This email is written due to the persistent problem that I have facing since the time I have brought this laptop in Apr-2020.

                                In the last 6 months we have raised the 4 complaint about the laptop. The laptop has gone blank and is not respond at all nor reboot. Even when I put it on charge, the charging light also doesn't light up, tried pressing the start button pressed for 30 secs despite not response. Its gone completly dead. This is the 3rd time I am facing this issue.

                                This is not acceptable that a new device is having so much issue in just 6 months. I have strong feeling that there is some major hardware issue in the machine that I was provided to me and I now just can't expect an another technician to come and visit and do some trouble shoot, which I am sure will again come in few days.

                                I want this laptop be replaced for me, I will not accept just any another repair work on this.

                                I m sure there is some major hardware issue in this laptop which is why its behaving in such manner.
                                I just have another 2-3 months warranty left on this and after that, your company would not do anything on this, I regret buying this product, now please initiate this machine to be replaced immediately.

                                I have lost all patience with multiple follow up and trouble shooting.

                                        Dear sir is ma max m2 device user I am facing problem since when i update my device to 0.73 fota update after update it work smoothly some days but after some days it suddenly switch off and i tried to switch on, but it did not it becomes useless i wont be able to use my device anymore since May 2020 plz sir help me it was not falt from my site it was a software issue thought fota update ... provide by the asus company Sir plz help me to ... Make usable my device again ..

                                        My name is bhupandra singh bhadoriya from ashoknagar m.p . Requesting for procedure to file consumer complaint and need assistance on complaining on asus repair center, Indore,
                                        ​​issue : mobile becomes dead after update asus provide software and service center not repair it
                                        ​​reply from asus : they agreed that that there is a fault in mobile update software which can cause damages but they not provide services to repair it or refund my money back
                                        ​​I complained asus but ​ ​they keep forwarding my mail to other departments but no responses.
                                        There is no nodal officer for asus repair center to escalate.​ ​please advise what i should do now
