Disappointed with my very first ASUS product Product: Asus Zenfone 5 Order date: 1/4/2015 Source: Online (Amazon) I bought this smart phone with a huge expectation and had an issue where the battery will drain very quickly and I was told to take the mobile to the service centre. Service centre people said that the Main board was defective and they have replaced the main board on my phone which should not be the case for a brand new mobile within 1 month of purchase. The problem is that the issue is still not fixed and the battery is still draining very fast than before.I did ask them to send me a replacement mobile since the mobile is just a month old. However, they are again asking me to take the mobile to the service centre. I'm not happy in doing that because replacing the mother board (Main Board) itself did not fix the issue I'm sure you will not personally feel good to change the Main board (Mother board) on your brand new mobile?? Please help me on getting a replacement mobile phone Ajay Prakash [protected]

    Dear Team ASUS,
I need a replacement of my ASUS Zenfone 6, it sounds weird at the very outset but having no other alternative I demand an immediate replacement of the same. Reason being after investing a colossal amount of Rs 16500/- I started facing problems like automatically it gets hanged. somehow calling the helpline their ultimate solution to the problems is to do factory reset causing lost of data and all updated apps ( where ASUS apps is more than 20 apps) and this happened again and again. Three weeks before my cell is not getting fully charged, i.e. maximum charge upto 23% so i went to service center they told me it happens sometimes because it is powered by Android and problem solved without doing anything. Now to my utter surprise same problem of not getting fully charged is happening again. I called helpline no use...I went to service center and they told me to change sub board and mother board of this my almost brand new zenfone which i purchased on 30/12/14 which is under warranty period. All my folks laugh and criticize me because i the dumped fellow who opted for so called ASUS cause I am having Asus laptop which have till now not given any sort of problems. I thought of publishing it in our leading News paper. ASUS please stop production of mobile/cell phone because in such a brand new mobile a person can face such irritating problems. JUST THINK FROM HEART. New technology is about to ease the things not to make/add troubles in life.
Once again i humbly request you to kindly exchange my handset before I take any higher steps to tarnish the brand name ASUS

Nexus 7 3G 32GB 2012 Model - (Serial no. D3OKBC782943) My device is working fine till 19th April 2015 from the date of purchase (3rd October 2013). I am using this device for around 18 months without any issues. Recently (one week before) I have updated it to Android 5.1 via OTA. On 19th April 2015 afternoon I have plugged in for charging the device. After hours while removing it from the charger I have noticed that it is in Google/nexus logo screen. I thought that the device would have restarted, so i have kept it for a while. After 2 to 3 hours it is still in Google/nexus logo screen without any change. I have switched off the device and switched on. Then the device is not booting after the Google & nexus logo screen. I have tried switch off and switch on for 4 to 5 times but there is no progress. Still the Device is not booting beyond the Google & nexus logo screen. On 20th April 2015 morning, I have contacted ASUS Customer support team; they have asked me to do the wipe data/factory reset. After doing the wipe data/factory reset, the device have started behaving wired like switching on, Google logo screen comes and switching off repeatedly (rebooting again and again but not going beyond the Google logo screen). At that time the device is charging and there is no issue in charging. I have informed this also to the ASUS Customer support team. Then I have taken my device to ASUS service center, While registering the issue also I have showed to the person who is in charge that the device it is not booting into OS and handed over the device to the ASUS service center person and raised RMA # INF8540305 for the same.. On 20th April 2015 evening, I have checked in Google to know how many devices are affected with the same issue and shocked that most of the Nexus 7 devices are affected. Here are the few links which contains the news regarding this issue: https://productforums.google.com/forum/#!topic/nexus/Ykfqr5RnlW0[1-25] and various topics under discussion in Nexus Help Forum. http://9to5google.com/2015/04/10/nexus-5-nexus-7-bricked-android-lollipop/ https://www.androidheadlines.com/2015/04/owners-nexus-7-nexus-5-devices-running-... https://www.reddit.com/r/Nexus7/comments/324gil/many_nexus_7_units_bricked_and_u... http://www.vcpost.com/articles/57957/20150416/google-not-helping-owners-of-brick... http://gadgets.ndtv.com/tablets/news/some-nexus-7-nexus-5-users-report-bricked-d... http://www.ibtimes.co.in/android-lollipop-bricked-your-nexus-7-nexus-5-devices-r... http://www.phonearena.com/news/Android-5.0-update-bricks-Nexus-7-slabs_id68155 http://ibnlive.in.com/news/google-android-lollipop-ota-update-bricks-nexus-7-nex... http://www.androidorigin.com/nexus-5-7-bugs-lollipop-update-brick-android-5-1/ Agitated users have also taken to Twitter to post complains about their bricked Nexus devices with the hashtag - #NEXUS7BRICKED On 23rd April 2015, I have checked with ASUS service center regarding the status of the RMA request, they said that the motherboard would have failed and it need to be replaced, for that they are asking Rs.13000 (approx $215). The repair cost is almost nearing to the new device cost. On 29th April 2015, I have went to ASUS service center to check the status and found that my device is dead (not powering on and not charging) because the battery gets drained fully and it is switched off automatically. As per the confirmation from ASUS Technical team that the initial issue is “Not booting into OS” and later after battery drains the device is not powering on and not charging. They have replaced the battery with a new battery and tested the device but still the device is not powering on and not charging. Finally they have informed me that the issue is with the mainboard/motherboard. I have collected my device from ASUS service center and closed the RMA # INF8540305 with Issues in motherboard as comments because I don't want to spend money for the repair because it is ASUS manufacturing issue. The motherboard failure is happened because of the latest android update and it’s not the fault of the customer. It seems that ASUS would have used a cheap/ faulty motherboard for Nexus 7. This issue is not happened to 1 or 2 devices; it happened for 1000’s & 1000’s of devices and keeps increasing daily (refer above links). I have escalated this issue to Indian region ASUS team but they are not accepting that it is a manufacturing defect/issue and not ready to repair the device under free of cost. So please guide my how to proceed further.. Awaiting for your reply... Thanks & Regards, Senthilkumar K

Dear sir, I had purchased Asus X55lD-XX026D CI5 with invoice no[protected] from your dealer notebook near chinchwad, Pune, Maharashtra. This is my 1st laptop and within 10 days of purchase there is black spot on screen.. I asked for replacement but they said it's possible only within 7 days of purchase but this information was not provided on the day of purchase.. They said 1year warranty is available and now they have changed the screen but there is a play in Asus strip and screen.. It doesn't look like a new one.. Its not looking anything worth 42000.. I am very disappointed.. I have only used it for 3 days.. Dealership and Service is pathetic.. It's completely broken.. I'm sure it's a defect piece.. Please give me the exact meaning of 1yr warranty.. I need a replacement or else I'll go to consumer court. Waiting for your feedback.. Revert me back asap..

I have bought my phone in December 2014 and it is still in warranty, but yesterday suddenly there was a charging problem occurred in my phone. It shows charging in the display but won't raise the battery charging it remains at a particular level. When I showed the phone to Shree Ram Krishna Enterprise Asus Authorized Service Centre, they told me that my phone is water damaged as the strip near the charging point was red, but phone was not water damaged and, it can be due to sweat problem. Now they say I need to change the motherboard which costs me near to a Brand new phone. Now while my phone is still in warranty then I can I prove that it was not water damaged. Also the strip near memory card is not red and there is no other sign of water damage. I submitted complaint on official website of Asus company but, they are not responding properly and just keep sending me messages that my query is been forwarded to the concerned department. Following is the mail request ID is WTM[protected] for complaint. But still there is no solution it has been 1 week since the problem has occurred. I have attached the photograph of my phone opened by the service center for your reference.

Hi, I had bought a asus zenfone 5 on 24th feb 2015 through flipkart. Around 1 week back the metal strip at the bottom of the phone came off itself. The phone was safely kept in my pocket and it came off automatically. There is no external damage to the phone and it is working fine. When i went to the service centre i was informed that it is not covered under warranty. I did not expect such a response from a organization like ASUS. I also talked to the asus helpline (Ref No A[protected] and i was informed as there is no external damage and the phone is working fine then it should be repaired/replaced. Please let me know what to do as i will not get this repaired under my expenses. The phone is barely a month and half old and clearly this is a manufacturing defect as the phone does not have a external damage and is in perfectly fine working condition. A big let down Asus

i think you are also sailing in the same ship, the service centre does not want to change the parts under warranty even if it comes under warranty, they just want to earn the money as the spare parts are costlier compared to other brands phone.

                                      Nexus 7 3G 32GB 2012 Model
                                      - (Serial no. D3OKBC782943)

My device is working fine till 19th April 2015
from the date of purchase (3rd October 2013). I am using this device for around
18 months without any issues. Recently (one week before) I have updated it to
                                      Android 5.1.

On 19th April 2015 afternoon I have plugged in
for charging the device. After hours while removing it from the charger I have noticed
that it is in Google/nexus logo screen.

I thought that the device would have restarted, so i have
kept it for a while. After 2 to 3 hours it is still in Google/nexus logo screen
                                      without any change.

I have switched off the device and switched on. Then the device
is not booting after the Google & nexus logo screen.

I have tried switch off and switch on for 4 to 5 times but
there is no progress. Still the Device is not booting beyond the Google &
                                      nexus logo screen.

On 20th April 2015 morning, I have contacted ASUS
Customer support team; they have asked me to do the wipe data/factory reset. After doing the wipe data/factory reset, the device have started behaving
wired like switching on, Google logo screen comes and switching off
repeatedly (rebooting again and again but not going beyond the Google logo
                                      screen).

Then I have taken my device to ASUS service center, registered
the issue and raised RMA # INF8540305.

On 20th April 2015 evening, I have checked in
Google to know how many devices are affected with the same issue and shocked
that most of the Nexus 7 devices are affected.

Agitated users have also taken to Twitter to post complains
about their bricked Nexus devices with the hashtag - #NEXUS7BRICKED

On 23rd April 2015, I have checked with ASUS
service center regarding the status of the RMA request, they said that the
motherboard would have failed and it need to be replaced, for that they are
asking Rs.13000 (approx $215). The repair cost is almost nearing to the device
                                      cost.

On 29th April 2015, I have gone to ASUS service center and collected
my device because I don't want to spend money for the repair because it is ASUS
                                      manufacturing issue.

It seems that ASUS would have used a cheap/ faulty
motherboard for Nexus 7 to expire after 1 year then only it will not cover
under the warranty period and people have to pay for the repair cost.

This issue is not happened to 1 or 2 devices; it happened
for 100’s or 1000 devices and keeps increasing daily (refer above links).

Does this booting issue is escalated to the top level
management people in the ASUS, and all the customers are requesting for the
repair to be made under free of cost.

                                      ASUS should quickly take the necessary action to solve this issue;
otherwise people will lose the trust with ASUS. So kindly provide me a solution
ASAP for repairing the device under free of cost.

Please post these issues in various media until Google or
ASUS is responding to this issue and fixing the affected device with free of
                                      cost.

                                      Thanks & Regards,

When i end call with power button call log not shown in call history. i complained it for many times but still not any solution when i go to customer care they told this is software bug but we can't do any thing, if they can't do anything then why open such a service centre. what are you doing lairs. How much time taken by you for giving update for this call log bug solving. if your company has no level then don't give bug-full update like this. micromaxx and karbon mobile has better firmware then you in lower cost then you. urgently give the update.
