This morning I was scheduled to receive a package on the 23rd of October 2014 as I ordered a scanner from snapdeal on the 15th . I asked for the order to be delivered to my friend's address as I wasn't sure if I will be home. Unfortunately, my friend had to leave and go out of town suddenly.
I sent an email from the bluedart tracking link asking for a change in address. I received no acknowledgement of this change. I left a note with the landlady at the address given and asked her to tell the courier personnel to come to another address which is less than 5 mins away (I frequently walk that distance)
On the 23rd morning, I received a call from the delivery person (+91 [protected]) at 10:23 saying he is at the door step.
I asked him if he could come ot the new address. He said he needed to check with his office and he would call me back. I asked him if he would like me to speak to his supervisor, but he said no. I sent an SMS of the new address details.
I called him back at 10:33 am to ask him if he got the permission and if not, I would come to the given address. He did not answer my call.
At 10.35 am he answered and said he got the permission and will be delivering at the new address in half an hour.
At 1.25 pm I called him again and he did not answer his phone. This greatly inconvenienced me as I had to go out and was waiting for the package. I am doing my diploma and I needed the scanner asap to send my faculty my work.
I called again at 1.26pm and again at 2.36pm. Both calls went unanswered.
Interestingly, when I called from my other number at 3.01pm he answered and said he would come to my house with the package in an hour.
When I called him back at 05.12 pm he said he would deliver it the next day as the office had shut and they only made one round that morning and so it was not possible.
I assumed Snapdeal and Bluedart together would be efficient enough to carry out a delivery easily. I was wrong. Not only was it not carried out efficiently. Your employee was rude and made false claims over and over again. I spent my whole day waiting for this elusive delivery that is important to my project and had to miss out on going to another commitment. Your employee was not honest about what he was doing and finally hung up the phone when I asked him why he was dishonest repeatedly.
And finally when I checked Bluedart's tracking system to lodge a complaint his dishonesty comes with brilliant proof as this is what I see as the official report

He did not come at 15.25. I assure you.
He claimed that only one round was made. Then how was delivery attempted at 15.25?
When I have paid in full amount to expect a delivery on of before a certain date, please keep to the promise.
I am angry and would rather not use either Snapdeal or Bluedart in the future as you have more than proven to be highly unreliable.
Not only was your employee inept at making a delivery at a different address 5 mins away (or wait for me to come to the old address), not to mention the numerous lies, your online feedback system also failed miserably in not informing your employee before hand of the address change.
I would like some sort of concrete action taken as I will not hesitate to post negative feedback/reviews for both sites on more social forums.
All the call logs are available on my phone for crosschecking if need be.
All i can do is learn to wait and have patience.
