Hi i just booked ticket for today show for a telugu film. I realised after receiving ticket that ticket is booked for tomorrow. I immediately contacted customer care and a person says once ticket booked it cant be done anything. But i asked what for is the customer care.. He says it is just fun. I want to cancel / postpone is my right as a customer? Is this bookmyshow running business against law of india? And once we go in side theaters they charge like coke 125 rs.. Chips 130 rs all side cheating for the customer.
I spoke to customer care with a reference id - 5738487. And my ticket booking id wnc9f22

Hi there,

Our system only confirms the options selected by the customers at the time of transacting / booking tickets and cannot randomly select the show date, timings, venue or any other booking details. Since the 'Order Summary' which consists of your booking details is displayed at regular intervals during the booking process until the payment page, the customer can always check the selected options in the order summary before proceeding to make the payment for the transaction and a chance of any discrepancy in the transaction is hence ruled out.

We do understand that you meant to book for another show and we would have been glad to be of any assistance to you in this regards, however, since online bookings are confirmed transactions, tickets once booked is deemed sold at the cinema's end and cannot be cancelled, exchanged or refunded from our end.

Hello, i have booked 2 tickets for rangasthalam in SVR shiva shakti theatre today for saturday first show 31 march 2018. the ticket got booked and money also debited but no ticket generated. i didn't get any email or sms.

    Dear team
    I went to carnival moviestar theatre in goregaon mumbai yesterday i. E. 17 march 2018. I booked two tickets. Both the seats were damaged, dirty and without hand rest. On enquiry with manager they behaved rudely and told nothing can be done.
    I visited theatre along with my wife to have a nice evening. But the entire evening was spoiled. I want refund of entire ticket cosy and inconvenience fee of rs 5000 per seat.
    Kindly take up the issue as soon as possible and reply me. If not replied and reimbursed accordingly i will raise the issue to consumer forum and broadcasting department. Book my show shall take care of quality, hygiene ofv theatres listed in their websites. Very bad experience

      Sir /madam
      I used my uco bank debit card on online movie ticket on bookmyshow website on 9th march at 5.19pm for 6 tickets on 10th march 12 o'clock for pari movie. The amount 635 rupees deducted from my account but the status of movie ticket was failed.
      Again i used my another debit card it became successful. I request you to return the amount. It is important for me to get back that amount.

        My email is [protected]@gmail.com. I have not booked any tickets fr hate story movie but received mail as booking confirmation. Then i checked purchase history and found the booking which not done by me. This is happened second time. Earlier also i saw 2 booking tickets for golmaal again but that booking is not done by me. Please maintain the security. You are sending someone else tickets to me that means my tickets may have shared with someone else. Please check the issue and provide ne the reason why i got these incorrect booking tickets confirmation.

          I'm harini from bengaluru. I booked three tickets for black panther 3d at pvr theatres, orion mall, rajkumar road around 8.50 on 1st march 2018. It accepted all the transaction pin and opt and showed transaction was progressing. But suddenly it said your transaction was cancelled and the amount 709 was debited from my account. But didn't get any confirmation message for tickets. After 5 minutes i tried booking it again. The transaction went threw. So i want to claim refund for the first transaction.

          Online movie tickets were rejected but my account was charged for rs.530/-
          I booked 2 tickets for kirrak party on melody theatre on 17.03.2018 2:30 show. Payment is made through Amazon pay balance. Amount of 272 was deducted and bookmyshow page shown timeout error. Message has been received from Amazon confirming payment to bookmyshow but there are no active tickets in bookmyshow login of mine.
          I booked ticket in Jyoti cineplex Mp nagar in Bhopal for raid movie on 16/3/18 night for 17/3/18 for 12 noon and I'm not getting any SMS or mail

            I had booked 2 tickets for the marathi play 'don't worry be happy' for today 25/02/18.
            I had selected row 11 and seats 13 & 14. I went to balgandharv rangamandir, pune where the play was going to take place and showed the booking details at the window, to get the physical tickets.
            But the seats 13, 14 were already given to someone else and i was given the tickets of seats no 3&4.
            Then what is the use of booking through bookmyshow? I had purposely selected the seats which were exactly in front of the stage. But we had to watch the play from corner.
            Why should one pay 60/70 rs additional internet handling charges if this kind of mismanagement is happening?

              I am jagadeesh kumar, today i have booked 2 tickets for tagaru kannada movie amount got debited once didn't confirmation, i tired again to book this time amount debited and not received the ticket, after contacting customer care they amount will get refunded in 7-10 working days, there might be problem from payee bank, i have contacted the bank they are very clearly said
              Amount is debited from account with refrence no and name shows bms,
              Bookmy show might be taking advantage latest technology to get funds from
              Indian civilians for 10 days without interest and also not providing them alternative options and asking them book through some banks cards or accounts

              Bms is not adodpted fair practices of money transactions rules and regulations made by rbi, they are also charging expensive charges as
              Internet charges to avoid the income tax of india to pay taxes

                Today 21.02 2018 i tried to book 2 movie tickets for tamil film kalakalappu 2 through online @ bookmyshow., just dial and theatre sites. While trying to doing so rs.80.00 is being levied for 2 tickets as internet charges... So i didn't book d tickets... Which is more than 20% of ticket fare!! So i request kindly to consider and take this as a complaint nd do the needful!!

                  In the event of redeeming the offer/code and the transaction being incomplete or unsuccessful, the offer gets blocked in the system for 5-30 mins which is then automatically released and in such a case you can try logging in again after the mentioned period to avail the offer

                    I understand you have a limited number of icici bogo offers per day for all users, but i couldn't find the exact limit specified on you website anywhere. It will be great if you could point me in the direction of the page where it is mentioned (If it is mentioned). If not, i would like to know why?

                    Also, customers would really appreciate if we they could get a notification about bogo offers running out on the home screen instead of going through all the checkout process, adding the card number and then finding out.

                    I had booked tickets for padman and both the times it showed that the transaction failed but still the money is deducted.
                    I would like refund for both as soon as possible because it was an error from your side . I do not have any other details as the transaction was not complete but the money was deducted

                        IS BOOKMYSHOW SITE DENYING CUSTOMERS TO AVAIL 'LISTED' OFFERS? I have been using BOOKMYSHOW site to buy movie tickets online, using a debit card & i could see a Rs.100 offer open (listed) on that debit card, but just when I applied the APPLY OFFER button, nothing happens. On top is the SKIP OFFER button (curiously!) & the very moment we choose the "SKIP. OFFER" option, things roll out fast & i ended up paying the FULL amount. This has happened on every occasion i tried, so it is NOT A RANDOM CASE OF SYSTEM ERROR! It appears to be very deliberate. Since the offer is only Rs.100 most o[censored]s may overlook. But it may be considered that I have been taking up the matter with BOOKMYSHOW help desk atleast on 4 diffrrent occasions (& over 20 mails in all ) with absolutely no redressal of my genuine grievance! The connected banks need to be aware of it. They should do a random check & take BOOKMYSHOW to task!

                        Anyone reading this post (book my show staff or others), just go to bookmyshow site & book a ticket & avail a listed OFFER bank debit/credit card or to avail a special offer from Idea etc. In my case on all the 5 occasions i can remember last 2 months, i could make the payment only when I SKIPPED availing the offer! Someone please try out & post your comments. On checking with the bank they informed me my a.c is of excellent standing & there was no reason why bookmyshow server could not grab the offer through the bank credit link. Between these service providers & in the middle of these special offers they are all doing good business, mostly at our expense. As the saying goes, ethics in business is limited to the appearance. It's just business, nothing personal. There aint any free lunch! "Free" & "offer" are just easy baits to win a client base!

                        Book my show has posted (wrongly!) that my complaint as RESOLVED. It is NOT REDOLVED YET! I have provided them all the details & all that I have received as response was glossy phone calls from club talkers (trained to side track the real issue !). Curiously mh complaint has made an impact! *BOOKMYSHOW has now corrected their algorithm to PROMPT a reply (on their own!) blaming the respective bank for not extending the assured offer! (Hahaha!!) Now we get a quick reply "the bank can not extend the following offer for this request"! (Hahaha!) Does BOOKMYSHOW intend to project India's banks as stupid or crazy to provide their valued customers an offer then decline when the client tries to avail that entitlement? How crazy is that!! Other than making BOOKMYSHOW get smarter to avert future red flags from alert clients like me, my complaint has made no impact! My genuine complaint remains unresolved. I hereby urge respective banks to criss check BOOKMYSHOW's entitled offers utilisation out & take corrective measures ASAP. (As banks are not at the liberty to cross verify with clients on the entitlement redemption part of the transaction. Pan india number of attempts for offer redemption could run into lakhs of rupees daily, if not crores. Chances to siphon the funds is there. Banks need to push for client details or authenticate redemption through OTP sent directly to its valued client. It's time this is thoroughly checked out !

                              Sir, i hereby inform that on 25.01.2018 we have booked 2 tickets (Rs.300 each ticket) for ‘padmaavat’ hindi movie in inox theater, central j. P nagar 10:15am show for 26.01.2018 through book my show booking id: tk*@yahoo.com (Personal) and on the day of show we were told by the staff that there were some issue with projector 📽 and so we were forced to move out from the theatre as show was cancelled. Due to the inconvenient caused they promised us to refund the amount within 10 days but we have not received the amount from book my show till the date, so we request you to please enquire the above matter and refund my amount as early as possible...

                                I tried to book two tickets online from bookmyshow on 15th january 2018, but my transaction failed due to some technical reason. The transaction amount was rs. 558.92 through my visa debit card of bank of india. I called customer support and was told that as this was a failed transaction, my money will be refunded and credited to the same bank account within 2-3 business days. But the amount has not been credited to my account till date.

                                I cannot see any change of status of my complaint as of today. The transaction amount of Rs. 558.92 is yet to be credited.

                                  On 2/02/2018 i booked 2 tickets for padmaavat show @ cinepolis however after competing net banking transaction i was informed that my transaction has failed so i rebook and received confirmation.
                                  However bookmyshow later on sent me mail & sms that my both booking are confirmed. I want to cancel one of booking but they are saying it cannot be done. I have mail them all communication but they are not listening. I am not very rich guy and 620/- matter to me
                                  Please take my issue for refund & oblige

                                  I am booking tickets by credit card sbi prime visa signature but it was shown #401 what is that
                                  On 3-2-18, we booked some Movie tickets from book my show and paid from amazon pay but amount deducted and message came as transaction failed and till now money of 351 rupees not returned to account. MY transaction -id - #P[protected].

                                    Google link for padmavat movie in ganaga theatre attingal showed "standard" show at 6:00 pm and "3d" at all times. Considering my 2 year old kid, i opted standard one and booked 2 tickets. On seeing the ticket details, i was suspecious that it is 3d and called customer care and they told it is not their fault to show "standard" show at 6:00 pm.
                                    I even visited the theatre to know that the theatre itself was not the right one, where my booking went to. It was going to ganga complex gudiyatham which is in tamil nadu. Identified problem as bookmyshow page and not with the theatre. If searched ganga theatre in mobile browser, it will show attingal theatre, but on clicking show, it will redirect you to bookmyshow 's ganga complex gudiyattham page. It is an issue with bookmyshow webpage, by which lot of people still can be redirected to book tickets at wrong places. I found another complaint of the same nature in this forum itself. When i complained to them they told me they will look into ot asap. No action so far. I would like to get the money refunded and to stop this misguiding to wrong theatres, as a responsible booking site used across the country.

                                    Streetlights malayalam movie has 5.65k 5 star rating where as only 845 one star and in the same time aadhi movie has 4.3k and 2.75k respectively. but the total percentage of SL is 69 where as Adhi has 80. I think you have mistakenly interchanged the rating. change it

                                      I have selected padmavat movie in cinepolis @7.15pm.
                                      Almost till the payment it has showed me the same as i selected.
                                      But after payment it was showing me that tickets got booked in asian gpr kphb.
                                      I was not knowing how would this change has been happened.
                                      How would i get refund or change of theatre be done?
                                      I need to know the alternative for this issue.

                                        This is to notify you that i never find any offer applicable for me every time i book the ticket as most of the offers are related to specific debit/credit card of such banks which quite naturally i don't have. Moreover, i am astonished about the internet access fee which is almost one-third of the ticket price!!! Then why shoud i book through your website while i can book the ticket after reaching to the hall in which i have to pay exactly the ticket amount!!! Very funny, ridiculous to me. If you cannot provide the applicable offers for me and the internet access fee continues to bother, then please clarify me so that i can delete my account from your site. For your kind information, i got one offer for the first time when i booked my ticket, but since then no offer came my way which is really very very unfortunate and also the internet access fee. Anyway, please let me know what you are going to do, whether i can keep my account in your esteemed website or quit?

                                        The theatre in Bhadravati, Shimoga District has registered fake timings in BookMyShow Website and show timings is delayed by 45min.
                                        On 24/11/2017 I get a mail from [protected]@gmail.com with containing of 10 gift vouchers of INR500 each. I just used only one voucher. Now they deny to give me rest of 9 vouchers.
