Faulty product delivered. Company charging rent without replacement

I have rented one Livpure water purifier on 30th August 2021 from Rentomojo for 6 monthes. It was delivered on 3rd September 2021 but not installed. 5th September, One support person from Livpure visit and confirm that the product is faulty, It has a faulty PCB and adapter, So it need to be replaced. Today is 17th Sepetember, Still now its neither replaced nor installed. Daily I need to arrange for drinking water. But rentomojo is charging rent and holding my deposit. Since Drinking water is a basic need to human, I request Consumer Forum to intervene in this matter.

I have been asking for the refund of my security for the past one month, and they arent refunding the amount even after all settlement is done. I have been calling them daily but they keep staying me by asking me to wait for 2 hours, 2 hours etc. Every single day I call this petty company for my refund and they pretend to execute it but they dont.
I have been highly harassed and violated as a consumer of this shameless company. They have been unprofessional in their business and have caused a great deal of annoyance to me.
I need the refund of the security amount this company has. I guess this is how this company raises its capital i.e by looting the refunds of the consumers.

Delaying order pickup and closure and charging unnecessarily
Rentomojo is a fraud company. They have not kept any option so that you can place closure request for subscription in advance. and from their end they delay pick up and charge the customer for it per day. It has been happening with me for past few rentomojo orders. They really just want to take money from the refundable deposit by force.

Rent to Own Same quotation after 4 months.
Since there was no option available in APP to request for owning the product, I have requested over the phone. Since I have subscribed to Rentomojo in the year 2018 so i was eligible for rent to own. I received Quotation on 19th April 2021 but could not process the closure due to pandemic issue.
Once again, I have requested quote on 11th August and i was given the same quote which i received on 19th April.
So i have responded to Rentomojo ([protected]@rentomojo.com) for inquires on why 3 products depreciation is not done out of 4 products requested but there was no response. So i send reminder mail again on 20th August but didnt receive any response.
on 9th Sept i called customer service on my queries, but the customer service person said that mail not received. so while on call i forwarded both my mails but she said that mail not receive. once again i copied and send the mail using another e-mail ID. finally she said that she received the mail. and i was given a ticket No, and said that our technical team will get back to you.
Later in the evening around 4.30 PM i received a call from customer service person (Mr. Sankar). I thought he is from technical team, but to my surprised he call me just to read out what was written in quotation mail (used even the word " i am trying to educate you"). He was not even ready to listen to my queries but was continuously talking and just repeating the E-mail.
Customer service is so pathetic.

Full of cheating,
I have all the proofs, documents, emails and audio calls recordings and bills, still this Rentomojo is completely cheating.
If anyone still needs products and cant afford to buy, then better buy 2nd hand one, but dont rent here, not even one rupee will come back to you.
Else, go to Furlenco, they are good and given back my money, when i was fed up with them I started renting products with FURLENCO, they were Genuine and loyal to customers.
I think there are lot of people who are facing this issue and I see many are ignoring it or leaving this and hence there are many continuously affected.
Guys, if anyone has gone through same, I think we need to join hands and bring their cheating through lime light and get our cheated money back.
We all need to stand together, you may have money and ignore but many dont and what ever you give as security deposit they wont return you and collect additional rent with total wrong calculations.
This should be taken to consumer court to stop there cheating business, need resolution and justification sooner.

I have taken a Sofa, Cot & Mattress on rent for 4 months.
The Sofa they delivered is not a brand new sofa (which is already used by many customers and only then it is delivered to me).
In the process o[censored]sing this used Sofa set, the stitches were worne out in one place and since they purchase these sofas at a very very very cheaper price the fabric was also worne out at a place.
Due to this they deducted 2678 rupees.
Which will not even cost them 500 to repair and fix it.
The Sofa they delivered is not a brand new sofa (which is already used by many customers and only then it is delivered to me).

I placed an order for a treadmill 1 week ago. The expected date of delivery was 5 days before i placed the order.
Today is 6th day from the date of order and till today my delivery date is not scheduled.
I have tried reaching out to the customer care twice every day for past 4 days. All I am assured is that I will get a call back from rentomojo.
I was told by the customer care representative that my number was not reachable when they tried calling, which is not true.
I was told today that the product spare parts are missing and they cannot commit an exact date of delivery of the product.
I am in a predicament. There is absolutely no way I can think of to resolve my issue. I cannot speak to the right executive who can resolve this issue. Apparently everyone I talk to tell me the same thing. That I will receive a call back. However I never get that call.
If the company is reading this message. I hope you improve upon your customer service . My problem still persists and I hope you would take it seriously.

I've ordered a laptop, Deposit amount has been deducted but due to non completion of KYC it says it cannot be proceeded for the delivery.
The app is not at all allowing me to complete KYC. There's no option to update the KYC details. Tried many a times to contact customer care they don't bother at all.
Only once they answered the call and asked me to share th documents to Thier email id. I've shared my documents...

This is a new scam.Please be awared.
I had placed an order on 23.7.21 after paying required deposit and sharing all financial details required by the company.Im really worried as I have a hunch the company will eventually start misusing it as they have no business ethics.
The company didn't provide any service yet and playing all games of words.I must say you guys are really well trained to scam people like us.I will file a complaint in cyber security tomorrow as one of my brother's is working there.I have been scammed.

Delaying the pickup & charging unnecessarily
I had a product rented 6 months ago. Two months back I have requested to pickup. They cancelled my request automatically. No response in customer care email & chat. Suddenly after 2 months they picked up & sent me a high priority email to pay 2 months rent. I told them that it's their mistake in delay, they never cared what I said. They just didn't refund my deposit. Now, no response for the emails, calls & chat. Scammers!

The company is a fraud. They don't stick to their own commitments. I placed an order and have requested delivery for 11th July. As they couldn't deliver the order in time, I have asked them to cancel the order and refund the amount. This cancellation request was placed on 11th July and till date I have not received my amount from them. Even after repeated follow up with them, they are least bothered to reply. My Order no is #[protected].

False advertising and defect in product
Rented a refrigerator from Rentomojo in Bangalore, and in the description of the product on the mobile application, it was mentioned as “Condition - New” but the product we received was defective and used .
When we complained, they said we “never promise new product” but as good as new.
Plus, they provide a substitute which was also used. It is false advertising and we only rented this as it was new, as due to hygiene and other religious reasons, we did not want to rent a fridge that was used .

I had rented furniture and appliances from Rentomojo for the past more than 2 years. I recently moved and had all the furniture picked up by June 17th. The site says refund of Rs 29, 532 will be issued by 7 days but there is still no refund. I had sent an email on June 23rd at settlement.[protected]@rentomojo.com and received no response. I subsequently called customer care and they said it would be refunded within a day and still no refund. Now customer care is not responding and I’m getting email delivery failure on this address.

It's been more than 1 month that I received all clearance from quality check after returning my product and process my return of security deposit. But no refund processed yet after multiple tickets raised regarding this issue. Emails dated 12 June where Mr. Srikanth email with 72hrs of time for refund but no resolution. Incorrect deduction from deposit n incompetent server

I have complained about faulty water purifier, twice their machinic came n tried to fix, however no go. I asked for replacement and they said it's not available in stock and will take two weeks. I asked them now product is not working and another one will come after two weeks, why should I pay rent, either take it with you and payback my deposit as you don't have spare, customer care guy said alright, i will put pick up request and there will be no deduction, however I got an email stating that your pick up is in two days and we will charge you 900/- for early closure. Now they are not even picking up my calls at customer care as I enter my registered contact number. Really pathetic service

This organisation called Rentomojo, is making a fool out of the clients. They took security deposit from me and my personal data including PAN, bank statement etc. on the pretext of data verification and know they have refused the delivery of order despite everything from my end being in order.
The refund is not yet received.
There is no one taking responsibility of my valuable personal data which they made me share over email despite system generated mechanism being there.
The call executives are careless and don't know what they are talking about.
There is no issue escalation in the organisation. Now I fear my personal data will be misused.

I was using Scotty from April 2018 and it was mentioned that after tenure we can own the vehicle after paying lumping.
And same was confined by ur both executive over calls and that has been recorded.
Today I got a call my ur team that I can’t use that as due to RTO issue u can’t help it.
Let me tell u that I choose this option only to own the vehicle other wise last three years I was paying and it was waste of money.
Now they are asking me to share any proof.from where I can share if they modify any policies then they should have documented .Please help to own this bike after paying 70k +

worst experience and worst customer service - i had subscription for bed, mattress, cupboard and side table
I had to close my subscription for 4 items - bed, mattress, cupboard, and side table. I had called customer service for the same to close it as the app was not functioning well. I had told the customer service person that i need to get the pick soon as i don't want to get charges for next month. The customer service person told me i have to do it from the app itself and then we can call back to get the pick up sooner. I tried the app the next day and there it showed me pick up for the next 7 days which i thought could be changed later, i went ahead with it and then at the end, it shows me charges for early closure plus for the next 7 days which are exorbitant. Just for 7 days, they are almost charging complete month rent. When i call the customer service they state we cannot do anything about it and its mandate you have to raise a request 7 days prior. I understand its the policy but if the earlier agent told me it is possible, then i thought they could work around for early closure but this customer agent was really rude and would not just let me talk. I had to actually stop him and request him to let me speak. I requested to talk to manager and he denied and stated will arranged a call back, which i don't think i would ever get. Worst customer service. Surely, never going to use their services henceforth.

Pathetic customer service.. Even after multiple calls an messages no response for pickup.. Almost a month passed and every 10 days pickup will be scheduled but will be cancelled last moment... No one s takn any responsibility... Makin customer suffer after renting their products... Have send several mails but all in vain.. Fraud company

Bed not getting picked up despite multiple calls to customer care

I had placed for closure of subscription of my bed, mattress and side table on 23 july. I was assured that the products would be picked up on 1st august. I received no communication till 1st. Even on 1st i had to call them for them to let me know that the pickup was not happening, no reason explained. Since then i have been calling them daily but to no avail. Everyday i am asked the same thing that i will receive a call for pickup schedule. I have to vacate the flat but i feel helpless in what to do.

I had rented 1 two seater sofa and a 3 seater sofa with rentomojo. On july, 30, there was a pickup scheduled since i had moved the house. The subscription was supposed to be closed. The person named "bhoopendra" came to pick up the sofa. He took photos of the furniture which was in perfect condition and everything was checked. Once the item reached company's warehouse, it was broken. The company has debited rs.3000 towards it. The transport guy never shared the images at their warehouse which were taken at my flat. Also, when i spoke to him and asked for those images, he could not provide me the same till date. The issue was then reported to customer services and they logged a complaint. The complaint reference number is: req-geq-0430745. I was informed that a team will call me in 24-48 hours. It has been 4 days now and i did not receive any call, text, email. I contacted the customer services and asked for an update. I was told that the team tried calling me at 10:00 am. I never got a call in the first place. There was no missed call alert received, which is also activated on my number. When i asked about the day when a call was attempted, they did not confirm it as well. Their customer service has mostly been a nightmare. As per the agreement, i was more than happy to pay early closure charges, but now the way i have been treated, even early closure charges are unfair. I would like request a refund of early closure charges and the security deposit, i. E., rs 2880. Early closure charges: rs: 2515.50. The image of the broken sofa was not taken in the building. The tiles visible are nowhere found at the ground floor or on the first floor. I will be more than happy to provide any further details about the same.

Hello everyone i request you not to fall in trap of rentomojo its completely a fraud and they cheat you completely once you rent a product with them thatsall you are lost a big fake company and all the people are fraudsters in it they just deduct monthly rental even after you return the product to them and they never return your deposit just say some problem arised after you used the product and never return your deposit
Better not to have the product instead renting from them completely cheaters fraudsters customer care people are the worst on earth never they solve your query in time your credit card will be completely over limit once you add it with them dont believe them and loose your money i lost 18k with those fraudsters

I placed an order for work chair for a period of 6 months. The cost was 299 per month and the security deposit i had to pay was 600rs to complete the order. On making the payment i realised i have to share my personal IDs (PAN card, Aadhar card, etc)for verification. Im not comfortable sharing those details for a menial order as this one. I tried contacting their customer support on chat multiple times and even over phone but no one responds...

When I was ordered the product to till the close my subscription and pickup the product. They didn't disclose any quality checkup charges, also I confirm about charge too when I was ordered. After pickup They confirmed that all product is in good condition there is no defects, Now no one is responding, from Rentomozo on mail also..

unethical behavior
I have asked the company to close my subscriptions with them since i was moving out of my flat. After repetitive calls, emails and chats they raised the closure for one product as i had clearly mentioned that there are two products under my name and all of it needs to closed.
The customer representative said that no issues the pickup will take both the products and it will reflect in my account. It's been almost a month i have been following up they keep saying 48 to 72 hours they will call back and the case will be resolved.
But yet until now, there is no revert from the company.

I had closed the subscription of 2 items and informed RENTO MOJO to pick on 21st March before but RENTOMOJO informed they're not able to pick items on that day and on 22nd due to COVID-19 the lockdown was imposed. I had clearly informed them that I am leaving the City and I am not responsible if they're not able to pick the items.
But now RENTOMOJO blindly keeps on adding rent for the items for which I had closed so now I have clearly told the RENTOMOJO that it is their mistake of not picking the items before lockdown and they have to wave off the fees they have cleared because the mistake is from RENTOMOJO but RENTOMOJO is not agreeing towards that and asking me to clear the dues for the items that I have not even used.
I have written multiple emails and informed support but there is no proper response from RENTOMOJO about this.
Because of this, I had to pay a room rent of 10k but RENTOMOJO is not even bothered about their mistake and they keep adding late fees.
So disappointed with the sick customer service/rentomojo.
I WILL NOT PAY A SINGLE PENNY TO RENTOMOJO and ready to take this to consumer court if it is necessary.
But now RENTOMOJO blindly keeps on adding rent for the items for which I had closed so now I have clearly told the RENTOMOJO that it is their mistake of not picking the items before lockdown and they have to wave off the fees they have cleared because the mistake is from RENTOMOJO but RENTOMOJO is not agreeing towards that and asking me to clear the dues for the items that I have not even used.
I have written multiple emails and informed support but there is no proper response from RENTOMOJO about this.
Because of this, I had to pay a room rent of 10k but RENTOMOJO is not even bothered about their mistake and they keep adding late fees.
So disappointed with the sick customer service/rentomojo.

Mail to Rentomojo officially but never get reply for anything. Such a pathetic and worst online service moreover ugliest staff behaviour ever. I wanna return the items and stop renting from them.
