Refund booking advance

I am Devarajan Arunkumar, i moved to bangalore 3 months ago and When I was browsing for pg booking online, one of colive employee (likitha) contacted me and showed a video tour of a room and I paid a booking advance of Rs1499 on the same day (14 jan 2023) . I was told the rent was Rs11, 000 and security deposit was Rs5000 for a single shared room..After few days another employee (Ankita) introduced her as from check-in department and mentioned...

Fake app and website. Paid money for booking and when visited for check in there is no tie up with this company. This is totally a scam company. Also the customer service is fake they will tell you to call IVR and in IVR no one will receive your call. Also raised service ticket SR2SR289010. But it was resolved without acknowledging us Or without any resolution.

It have been 3 months still no response got from Colive. This all are fraud and fake people. Also no consumer complaints helped us. After having so many consumer complaints with proof still the company is running fine and are cheating others.

    My wife was 8 months pregnant and due the doctor advised not to travel from home to hospital so we needed a place just for last few days of delivery. We contacted colive customer care and spoke to person named Ramjit who suggeste a place Amigo-coliving and assured it's the best for a pregnant lady and also we needed car parking. He claims he spoke with the location person and there is parking. Just 1 day before check-in i wanted to make sure everything was fine and reached the location the person who runs the place Mr Venkatesh highly objected a pregnant woman and also no parking facility. When i contacted Ramjit he tried speaking to Me Venkatesh who also told him the same so he sent me to another location colive kings and queens which again did not allow pregnant woman. So Ramjit agreed to process the booking refund. But no one from colive seems to help since that day.

      I made a reservation of Rs.2000 for triple sharing Colive Ruby, Gowlidoddy. The sales executive was Mousmi. She took the booking for a room which was unavailable. She later told it was mistake from their side and the room is unavailable. The other options were not in Gowlidoddy and I demanded refund and she agreed so. But she is not responding since then. Please provide my refund. I have attached the confirmation mail from her side.

        I requested a PG in Kormangala Bangalore for a month stay from 12 May0 10th June. The representative Vijitha kept chasing and I did book a PG by paying 3000 INR. But Instead of booking me in Promised Aria's PG they booked me in HSR, an area I didn't want. And reason she gives is by mistake

        I need my refund of 3000. These are fraud people

          Booking cancellation without any reason

          Hi
          I had a really bad experience from Colive, it's the first time and using Colive service.
          I have booked a short stay in Colive on 20th April for 10 days, May 1st to May 10.
          As per the confirmation from the Colive executive I have paid my advance and booking was confirmed for PG 62416 and MS Coliving in Bangalore.
          Based on the confirmation I have planned my days in Banglore and booked the tickets,

          While booking PG, they will ask 2000 extra for reservation. Every month they will include too many hidden charges during monthly rent. Property manager won't inform anything about it then after payment he will say no need to pay out these charges. During vacating PG they will deduct 3000 bucks for additional. For any pending dues they will charge too much of amount. At the end stage, they won't refund your deposit. I would recommend this PG for staying. One of the money looting PG. Go with some local PG. Sales man, property manager no one will be reachable during urgent times. They won't keep kitchen for personal cooking.

            Hi Team,

            I vacated the property Colive Garnet HYD on 31st Dec 2022. I have already informed the property manager Nagraj regarding the same prior 1 month so please note it down and he also confirmed that he will do it.

            For the safe side I have also raised the notice but as I work in AMER hours (night shift) it got delayed by 3 hours so it's 2nd Nov morning around 3 am. I have explained the same issue to property manager Nagraj and he said he will get this thing sorted don't worry.

            A few months after vacating I received mail that I need to pay them money because they have added extra notice period charges. So again I went to Nagraj and he said he will get this sorted and I will not receive such emails again. After this, I went home because there was some emergency and didn't contact Nagraj but a few days back I receive a conciliation notice. I went to the Colive property and got to know that Nagraj is no more working with Colive and Colive cant help me with this.

            There was some issue with their ios application my notice period date was also not showing at that time so I confirmed with Nagaraj multiple times regarding this notice period every time he use to say don't worry I'll manage.

            You can check the CCTV camera and I have my 2/3 friends who were with me when Nagraj said all this to me.

            Request Colive to please look into this issue I am literally stressed out because of this.

            The same scenario happened with my friend as well but it got sorted then why not mine?

            Because of 1 person's mistake don't why Colive is spoiling their name.

            It's my humble request to you guys please help me to get this sorted on priority.

              I have redeemed the security deposit amount from Colive wallet to the bank account aroun March 20, 2023.

              It is April 26, 2023 but no sign of credit.. no one is responding and my money is gone.. the service was also poor

                I wanted a property in Madiwala and told if you want location you need to pay advance and I paid 1500 which they told it’s refundable if I didn’t like the property. Then I asked them for refund as I didn’t like the property but didn’t send back and avoided my texts and calls .

                    I vacated Colive 506 Ruby at Goowlidoddi, Hyderabad on 31 March 23 after serving 1 month of notice period. While vacating, the property manager was called and everything was handed over to him properly without any damages. Even he didn't raise any alarm during my shifting. However, now, a sum of Rs. 10, 730 has been deducted as repair & maintenance charges and Rs. 3, 650/- as electricity charges from my security deposit of Rs. 19, 000/- .

                    When asked for the justification of such exorbitant deductions, Colive billing department (Mr Akhil - mobile no.[protected] as well as the sales person (Mr Amit Singh - mobile no.[protected] have block us on mobile numbers and our emails are block by Colive mail server (email IDs [protected]@colive.com and [protected]@colive.com).

                    Our request for Colive to properly evaluate my deduction from the security deposit and arrange to refund the whole amount.

                      I stayed in colive for 1 and half month. I raised notice for vacating colive 1 month prior to date to vacating. They did give me any security refund and are threatening me to pay extra charges or they will send legal notice. I have mail from colive for raising notice on time

                        I have paid deposit amount and they gave me a pg which is the worst pg for 9000 so i left that and when i asked for refund of deposit they said that this is booking amount and we cannot refund you back but i am not living in their pg so i want my money back i have screenshot of the payment that i made to colive so i only want refund of my deposit amount as soon as possible

                        I have paid around 3000 rupeess as deposit and your agents are very quick in taking money first they will say send money then only i will share location then they gave me a wordt pg for 9000 which was very unhygenic and dirty so i left that pg and asked for refund of my deposit and they said that this is booking amount and cannot be refunded but i told them that i am not living in your pg so what booking amount and they stopped replying i just want my deposit back as i have my own expenses for places like bangalore please look into this matter asap.

                          I am Srinivas Kotturi, an Architect by Profession. I was recently in Chennai around 3-4 weeks back and was searching online P.G Accommodation through Colive. I was allotted one P.G. However, when I went there the owner there told me that there was no booking in my name and that the P.G was not even registered with Colive. I called the Colive Customer Care and they assured me of a full refund within a day. It’s been more than 2 weeks now and still waiting for the refund. The customer care service is never available to take the call and is always busy. I tried contacting the Founder and C.E.O of Colive. Although initially, he assured me of his intervention, however now, even he is not giving me convincing replies and my refund status is still not known. I am helpless now as an amount of Rs 10049 is stuck with Colive.

                            Hi Team,

                            I have been residing at Colive Cairo PG room No 101 at electronic city phase 2, Benagluru, Karnataka since Nov 2022. I was agreed to pay a rent of 10, 000/- and electricty bill on monthly basis, which I have been paying on time without a miss. But, in Colive App under "MY DUES" I can see the charges of 1911/- which were never discussed. I tried to connect with the company but there single phone no is not reachable. Please get those charges reversed.

                                It has been over 25 days since I moved out of Colive, I haven’t yet received my security deposit. I received a mail in which they specified how much they’ve deducted, and they have deducted extra separation charges. I need the money urgently and they are not even responding. It is a shame that a company this big will be this unprofessional. I would never in a million years recommend this to anyone. The worst I’ve come across. If my SD isn’t received soon I will be filing a legal case over them for all the things I had to go through even when I was living there.

                                  I booked a PG on 27 february with only the reservation amoutn which they promised to refund if i inform about not coming within a week and i informed the very day of my booking of apartement that i am not coming.

                                  I had chat with [protected] who fooled me by saying they will process refund within a week but that scam ster is not even responding to me when i request my money.

                                    I sent the following complaint to the company with no luck at getting a reply from them. Now they are threatening to send a legal notice without giving any explanation about how the amount they are demanding is justified.

                                    1. I started living in Colive Hilton on 31st August and stayed there till 30th December 2022. There I faced a lot of issues due to which I came to work from home in October and November while still paying your company rent. Here are some of the many issues that I have faced during my stay at Colive Hilton -

                                    2. There is no direct communication between the tenant and the manager. The person who claims to be the manager of the property does not have any power or authority. Even for petty issues, he would suggest raising a service request that costs the tenant unnecessary costs.

                                    3. During the initial days, the lift did not work, When I went to book the room in early August, the sales manager promised that the lift issue would be resolved before the move-in date and showed the room on the 3rd floor. On the date of check-in, I was given the room on the 5th Floor rather than the room which was promised, with the lift still not in working condition, due to which whenever I had to go to my room or to go out of the building, I had to climb up or down five floors every time. Even when the lift used to work, it used to get stuck while going up or down due to which I myself got stuck in it a few times.

                                    4. The electricity bill for a small room with bare minimum usage was charged around Rs. 1100 per month. I don’t know how my usage amounted to Rs. 1100 when most of the time I remained out of the room and city. Moreover, the manager said that the usage is divided among everyone, wherein their staff was not included. And this staff was actually the one using up most of that. Also, there was no mention of the electricity bill to be paid by us as told by the sales manager. When I asked them about why I was being charged electricity bill, they said that there have been some changes in the rules. Hence your people don’t even know what the customer will be charged for and as a norm when no other PG is charging for electricity, I as a customer gets fooled by your misleading policy. For the first month my electricity bill was Rs.274 which shot up to Rs.1156 from the next month. How is this increase of four times possible within a month when I wasn’t even in the premises.

                                    5. I was being charged Rs.236 extra for Wi-Fi for which I contacted the manager but none of your property managers gave any reply. Manager just said that it’s a part of the policy and that from now on there will be additional charges without any proper explanation. I tried to raise a request but there was not any category which addressed my problem.

                                    6. Food was supposed to be there twice daily except on Sunday. But in the morning, it became a race amongst everyone in the PG to get the food as there was a lack of quantity every single day. After raising multiple service requests and contacting your Growth Manager Mr. Siddhant, the quantity was never made sufficient. Though in the service request resolution, it was always said that your issue has been resolved and the quantity will be increased. The timings of the breakfast were supposed to be from 7:30 – 9:30 a.m., here the breakfast was always finished at 8 a.m. and for a person who had to work during the night, this timing completely ruined our schedule as I had to wake up early to eat breakfast and sleep again.

                                    7. For small issues like the LED bulb in the room not working, or water not coming through the tap, we had to raise a service request for which you are charging Rs. 250. It never made sense that a thing that we have not broken, why should we pay extra to get it fixed.

                                    8. When clearly, it’s the responsibility of the PG to take care of the bedsheets I kept on raising service tickets but had to use the same bedsheet for 4 months as there were no more bedsheets available for change as per your local staff.

                                    9. The sales manager promised a Table and Chair at the time of booking when I will move in. The staff kept those things in their own room but always said that the company is running low on stock and I never got mine. Moreover, the lock in my cupboard was not working from day one for which I asked the manager to get it fixed, but didn’t fix it and asked me to raise a service request which would have again cost me money to fix things that were already broken before I even checked in and even notified them on day one.

                                    10. In October, the water supply stopped. Luckily at that time, I was not in the PG, but many residents kept complaining about this issue on the WhatsApp group of the PG, after which the resolution the management came up with was to make the WhatsApp group Admin only and no one else was allowed to message. Also, during this period, electricity was cut in the building as your company did not pay the electricity bill, which made everyone suffer.

                                    11. In December, local staff took the only room key I had to get a duplicate key made. I was left without a key and locking the door before going out was not an option due to which for 10 days I had to leave my room open whenever I went out. Whenever I tried contacting the management for the keys, either the staff cut the call or rudely asked me what is so precious in my room that I want to protect. As the lock of the cupboard was also not working, it created a lot of issues.

                                    12. Even the managers kept on changing. There was no certainty. One manager used to promise one thing and the next day he was transferred. Three managers were changed within the span of just one month.

                                    13. All these issues affected me mentally and physically as there was no proper food, lack of promised services and cleanliness was also not regularly done. We had to call the cleaner every time and that too maybe once in ten days we got the room cleaned. After facing all these issues, I told the manager that I will have to leave the property in an emergency as I was not feeling well. He said that if I vacate before 31st December, my security money will be confiscated as the damage for not serving the notice period of January to which I readily agreed and left on 30th December after making sure that no dues were left before leaving and I had to pay nothing.

                                    14. I vacated and handed over the keys of my room and left the property in broad daylight with all my luggage before your property staff only after telling them and after confirming that no dues were left on me and also asked them to check if everything in room was in place and the same can be confirmed by CCTV of 30th December 2022.

                                    15. When I am resting in my home town company started sending me emails like recovery goons as I had looted your property if there is some issue it can be informed, I have provided every single correct personal detail and then your company is sending threatening emails like you will ruin my CIBIL score or send me a legal notice for the 23k.

                                    16. Your company has calculated that I owe you around Rs.36, 389 and after adjusting my security deposit of Rs.13, 000, it would come to around Rs.23, 389 without providing any details or calculation formula of rent charged and electricity charges or other charges.

                                    i. As email dated 16th Feb, 2023, you have charged Rs.17, 709 as RentOS. I am unable to understand when I had cleared rent up to December, 2022, then where does this figure come from?

                                    ii. You have charged Rs. 2430 as electricity charges for vacant room in this bill whenever in the bill of January 1st, 2023, the electricity bill amount was Rs.1154.

                                    iii. There is mention of some separation charges amounting to Rs.3250. What is this for?

                                    17. When I am trying to reach out to your customer care, or the managers, nobody is responding or if by chance company staff are picking up the call, you are not giving the reply. I paid the rent within the due date for 4 months straight and even for the 2 months I didn’t stay in the property, I duly paid the service charges and electricity bill even though I didn’t use anything.

                                    18. If you do not stop threatening me like this, I will also have to take appropriate legal action available under the law of the Land.

                                    19. I made sure that I had no dues before leaving. Now I came to know through various social media and complaint portals that hundreds of other tenants have faced similar issues where they are sent threatening emails and asked to pay made-up dues or in other cases, the security deposit was not returned.

                                    20. I tried joining the zoom call under the escalation tab (for which I can provide a screen recording), as on the page it was mentioned that we can directly contact higher management. But as expected, the zoom meeting link is not working. We tried every single way possible to contact the company but failed to get any response.

                                    You are requested to look into the above matter and resolve the issue at the earliest.
