Being a Customer of airtel for almost four years, i want to express my strong dissatisfaction with the airtel services and their executives in Karnataka.
I am a airtel customer for the past 4 years(2 years from maharashtra, now in Karnataka).
i have two connections against my name one is [protected] and the other no is[protected].
on 22nd of september 2009 i went to an airtel outlet and given a request to keep the no. [protected] under safe custody for 3 months. after 2 months i got a bill which states that i must pay a sum of 671.00 rupees.I got shocked and called the customer care services 121 to enquire about this, they told me that my no is no more active and because of the default amont they have disconnected the number, when I told them that i have given a request to keep this number under safe custody, they told that never happenned, and also asked me whether i have any proof for requesting to keep this number under safe custody. when i told them yes they also asked me to visit the airtel outlet where i have given t he request for the safe custody.
I went to the airtel outlet as suggested by the executives. in the airtel outlet the executives told me that by mistake this number was never put under safecustody and they will try to solve this issue ASAp.
I waited for couple of days for the problem to solve, but i never heard back from any of the responsible airtel executives stating that this problem is solved or under process.
As a dejected man i started calling the 121 services for enquiring them regarding the status of this issue.
surprisingly i started hearing many different stories from each of them. they were not ready to go thru the case history and gave me the proper [censored]ion or answer.even i spoke to the senior peoples also. everybody was asked me sorry for the inconvenience. also they told me they will need 24 hours or 42 hours to solve this issue.also they told me this mistake will never happen. they will make sure that i will be getting proper services from airtel.
being heard it from the senior peoples, i was hoping to get this problem solved.but the problem never solved.i started again calling 121 service. then they told me that i have to go to airtel outlet and get a new sim card, to reactive the services within 24 hours.
I was hoping atleast this time i will get my problem solved, and i went to the airtel outlet and collected the new sim card.
after getting the new sim card this is the third day still i am making calls to the executives to solve this issue.
In all these days i strongly observed that these (almost every body starting from beginning level, floor supervisor, their seniors, even the nodal officers)executives are not ready to take the initiative or responsibility to make the customer satisfy. every body asking for 24 hours or 42 hours to talk to the concern team. but nobody is following up whether the problem solved or not? just they want to move the task from their plate. nothing else.
some of the executives are not even good enough to handle a customer they even blaming me for their mistakes.they used to drop the call when i ask some explanation.I almost escalated about couple of them to their senior executives.i dont know whether they are doing some corrective action or not.
in between some body named swetha called me from airtel legal and they wanted me to pay the pending bill amount(for the one which i have been told that they already passed the waiver.)
I am totlaly dis honoured by this kind o issues and their negligence. i never come across this kind of humiliation with any service provider i swear this should not happen to any of the customer who is paying the money to get the proper service.if it is possible please have a look at the database the no of calls which i made to airtel for the past 15 days to solve this issue.
I higly request you to look into these issues and make the customers life cool, so as to make the airtel reputancy UP.

I had got my connection changed from Post paid to Pre paid about 1.5 months back. My no is[protected]. The no was activated in 2-3 days. after working for about 2 days, the no was diconnected without any reason. I got it reactivated after severe follow up. Mean while I lost the entire money ( plan + recharge amount).
Again, today the connection got disconnected. I connected the call center, they are unable to give any reason. I have agains lost the available balance of 450 /-
I am planning to go to the consumer forum.

My phone is [protected] and I would like you guys to take my complain seriously. I dont' know how many times have I mentioned that my bill should be sent in the name of Augustine Dasgupta and not Augustine Anand Dasgupta. But inspite of me telling you guys about this but still you are sending the bill in Augustine Anand Dasgupta. Now that I have stopped paying the bill you guys are sending me letters and calling my wife and speaking rudely to her. I must say, I ask you to do something and instead of adhering to my request you guys have barred my calls. This is not done. I don't mind paying my bill but please once again I tell you to send the bill in the name of Augustine Dasgupta if not I'm not paying the bill amount. Kindly take this complain seriously and do the needful.
Airtel Postpaid — Worst service by airtel
Hi,My earlier mobile number was [protected] post paid. Before going out of india, i put my number in safe custody mode for three months. I paid all the outstanding amout before leaving as asked by airtel. When i came back i was shocked to see that airtel has generated bills for all three months.When i gave complaints my times now they are saying it was their mistake not to update that time. But they are asking me to pay the bill if i want to continue with the same number and they will waver the rental for next three months from my bills. But without gaurantee. When contacted airtel outlet their executive itself advised not to pay the bills because there is not gaurantee to waver.
Now i took the new post paid [protected]. First i was told it will be activated in 4 hours but it took almost 48 hours to get activated. And now they have disconnected it even though i submited the required document yesterday. After contacting airtel they are asking me to go and contact the airtel outlet where i gave the documents.
It is like a hell. Airtel service is worst now.

postpaid — bill received even after the sim was deactivated
Sir,This is related to my airtel post paid number [protected]. I had taken this number during my stay in chennai.
I have left chennai in Dec 2008 and since then i wanted to cancell this number. I paid all my dues sometime in the month of Oct 2009 and was told that as i delayed in making my payments my number is de-activated and will never be activated again. But to my surprise when i checked my mail last evening i found that a airtell bill number[protected] is send to my account and this is filled for the span 02 Dec 2009 to 02 Jan 2010.
I so not have any clue about what all has been mentioned in the bill as i do not have the password to view the pdf bill. Looks like to have the password i need to send an sms to 121 from my [protected] number and i do not have the number now.
This is an headache for me and i feel cheated as without my knowledge or approval the number was reactivated.

There is no one point contact and every time i have to speak to new person and explain the whole thing to him.

Very Poor Service of Airtel
Please do not purchase any sim of Airtel connection, we have facing many problems of Airtel connection,
1). they were always cheating in Bill
2). Network Problems lots of time even I am sitting in Main road office but I does not get the network properly at my office.
3). I have many CUG connections around 40 or 45, and we using one mo. no in only in CUG connections but Airtel company always stop this mo no's all services and says that U are not using this mo. no.
I have faced these problems in this month six times and I am tide of doing Complain for this mo. no.

airtel india,postpaid — charge double rent
sir,i kashinath vanarote using airtel post paid connection. as they charge me double rental for the month.
i registered complaint at appellate authority.first they said we would revert the amount.but they dont reverted the dues.
so i request you to do as needed and help me.

Hello all,I have been with Airtel for 8yrs now. Using a post paid connection. Last Feb09 i took an additional connection which i used only for 1month. I had to close it because my cousin was leaving India. I called up my executive to my office gave him the closure letter, and SIM then paid an amount of 365rs. I asked him whether there is anymore formalities to be done. He said NO
I left it at that. Now after 11months i get a letter from court mentioning i need to pay 1100 rupees for that connection.
When i contacted the customer care. They say the connection is still active but no calls/msgs are done.
I argued with them stating that i closed the connection on the day of my last payment. I have proof of payment and raised a complaint. But the problem is that the letter which i got has asked me to come to court on 28th Jan.
What the hell is wrong with DAMN AIRTEL.

Dear Sir,This is relating to my August 2009 bill which was due on 22nd September 2009.
I am putting up at Dwarka Sector 4 which has a Airtel outlet there was some upgradation of airtel's systems going on at that time due to which my several visits to the outlet to pay my bill were waste as my mobile number was not getting poped up in the system. Then Airtel executive seeing my paper bill swiped the credit card i had (HDFC) for the bill amount of Rs.930/- in the next shop which is Future Mobiles. He gave a transaction slip and also confirmed that this would get updated in also.
From the next month's bill till the last bill I have been getting this amount as due with a late fee payment which has made the amount of Rs.930/- increase to hell lot. This month also its the same case I have been visiting Airtel outlet from 20th and my number is not getting poped up. Due to the fear of what I have been going through for the past six months i have not dared to opt for any other options. I have been able to pay my current month's bill by same HDFC credit Card yesterday.
I have scanned & faxed & emailed the transaction slip as well as credit card statement several times during these months and the issue is still not resolved. This is not my fault as the outlet says they have posted the entry to Bharti's account.
All this mess and my connection has been barred for out going calls & sms from 25th jan, my calling customer care on 121 has not helped me to any extent as they say they dont have the authority to unbar the calls.
I am being harrassed and penalised by Airtel and I am totally upset with this. I hold this post paid connection for the past 10 + years and you can check my record for payments and the billing amount I have been remitting.
Please get this resolved for me as the concerned people (Officers) Nodal & higher officials seem to be not interested in picking customers calls.
