[Resolved]  Airtel Prepaid — Airtel cheating customers

I am using Airtel prepaid card NO.[protected]. On july 14 2010 7:51 PM I received a SMS from Airtel Number 54321. RS. 15 deducted from my account but i never did that activation .but when i called custumer care, he said("aap ke no me jab ye activate huwa hai tho aap is ka labha uthoo ") .
WHAT A SERVICE GIVEN BY AIRTEL!!!

the SMS content is
You have been renewed for model_wap_pack subscription service from Airtel.You have been charged Rs. 15. Enjoy Models Club http://203.115.112.5/SM/

My mobile no. is [protected]. Since IPL Cricket has started IPL match scores, results etc are being
sent by Airtel Live without same being activated by me.Inspite of repeated request to 121 through local
Relatioship centre my requests have been heard only temporarily and the same service has been reactivated without my doing anything in the matter.In the process I lost atleast Rs 27/ .I request you
to stop this nuisance permanently and refunnd me the money arbitralily deducted by you.Your indifferance
and inaction in the matter may force me to quit Airtel forever.

I am sivakumar.I ve been living in meenachipuram, near Madhukkarai, Vaazhukkuparai panchayath., coimbatore. i have been useing airtel prepaid for last 3 years, in this time there is no problem in getting signals. For last 3 months I face Airtel signal problem. in my village above 200 Airtel custamers strugling in this problem. Before 3 months we get full tower. Meenachipuram people only faced this strugle. In Vazhukkuparai, there is Airtel tower In that towre some technical problem. pls correct it. so many time we complaind to Airtel custamer care. I expect replay.
I am hving my Airtel prepaid account no - [protected] & hv seen sometimes u were deducting from incoming call also but from last few days u r deducting from every incoming call which is not fair as incoming call supposed to be free.

So u pls let me know ur system as well as policy whether this mal practice will be continuing or i m wrong that incoming call is free which supposed charge.

Eagerly waiting for ur reply fail to which i lost my faith on Airtel & no other option to switch over.

CHEAT ON GPRS SPEED
Hello.. I have opted for the Airtel 1 month GPRS PLAN.. MY GPRS SPEED IS JUST 1 TO MAX 2 KBPS... WHEN I CALLED CUSTOMER CARE OF AIRTEL THEY SAID THE DOWNLOAD SPEED WILL BE 30 TO 40 KBPS ...BUT THE SPEED WE GET IS 15 TIMES LESS THAN THE CUSTOMER CARE SAID..WHATS THIS...ACTION SHOULD BE TAKEN IMMEDIATELY...ITS A CHEAT...

airtel, prepaid — deduction for caller tune

I have a prepaid airtel service with phone number [protected].
Today I got one miscall. After some time I wanted to check who called hence I called back on that number & I started hearing somthing about caller tune ADs. So I switched off the phone. But whine no time I received Messages saying Rs. 10/- have been deducted for caller tune & after 10 days Rs 30/- will be deducted on renewal. Again after some time I received other message saying Rs. 15/- have been deducted from my account. And infact both these amounts were deducted .
I received these messagesfrom number 543211.
What I should do now, if they deduct like this unnecessarily.

There is nothing that you can do except calling the helpline and shouting at them. This is a common practice with prepaid services. First log a complaint with customer care and take the complaint no., if they dont solve you issue, send an email or call Nodal Officer. Even if they dont listen, tell them that you will take the matter to TRAI or media like Mumbai Mirror or CNN IBN. I personally had these type of experiences with Reliance and Idea when I was in India.
Dont Go for AIRTEL .. This is the worst telecome service in my experience. I am using an Airtel# since last 3 years. On 3rd June, I noticed I am not able to make any calls and I am not getting any incoming calls. I called the custome care asked why the proble. They replied, I have to submit the documents again. I told them it is not a new connection and I am using the # for about 3 years. But told, resubmitting the documents is the only option. I went to Airtel office on 4th June morning and submitted the necessary document. The executive in that office promised the service will be resume in 4 hrs time. Till evening the service not restored. I again contacted their office and they told like connection will be activated within 24 hrs time. on 5th June, 11 AM, I again went to airtel office, they replied it will take 48 hrs to activate the service. I called customer care, and imformaed them all these bloody scenarios to the customer care executive and now they are telling they have received my complaint and will rectified before 7th june morning.
Imagine, From 3rd June 2010 to 7th June, I have to wait for the activation, without the mobile service. Whets the service this company offering to the customers. Any one of you can imagine 4 days without the mobile connection.
In my prepaid account, about rs 250 balance is available. I smell it is AIRTEL tric.Normally if the customer is not getting service for 1 or 2 days, defenitely customer will choose another sservice provider. The remaining amount available in the number wil go to airtels account. It does not matter if AIRTEL loose millions of customers. They already bagged more than their target.
My sincere request, If anybody using AIRTEL, beware of this FRAUD service. You will be cheated by AIRTEL soon.

though airtel has been doing a good kind of service in indian telecom market, it has now come to be noted that they are very much, in a way so badly failed to care for the customers. the customer care executives talk and deal with most of the customers impropely. i've do have my personal experince of being treated in certain of these ways. they have a feeling that such a kind of attitude towaards the customers doesnt cost them a loss. however i stongly suggest you to file a complaint with the consumer care dept of telecomuunication soon. we cant allow a thing of this kind happening with all the customers. because we pay for the sevice rendered by them. i am noble joseph, from kerala. my no.[protected]

I have recharged my account that is on [protected] while roaming..of about Rs.100, and I got one message from you that the recharge have been done of Rs. 100 exactly but the talktime I got is of Rs.1 only..I didnot get the full talktime that I should be getting for Rs.100. I will be highly obliged if you help me to get my full talktime for my recharge value of Rs.100.

Airtel — cutting my service and holding my money

As an American visiting India had the most lousy customer service by any telecom company in the world. I paid for a prepaid Airtel mobile service and on that I went for a bypass surgery these sons of suspended my service despite the fact they had all info about me and I added another 1111 Rupees to my account. During the time that I was at the hospital, my family, friends and all my associates were looking for me and my Airtel was not in service.
To top it off now these are not refunding my money about 1200 Rupees.
What a bunch of Con artist and for sure I would not recommend this Company for anyone especially any American or Westerner. They are the worst by far of any mobile service provider in the World. Tell your colleagues, friends, and family to avoid this company.

on 15 jul 2010 11:50 PM they send me SMS Thanks for using football subscription service from airtel. You have been charged Rs. 10 enjoy Models Club.How can they do such things.They werw Deducting money from our account without asking them for any subscription.

AIRTEL is a maha-chor company run by Sunil Mittal of New Delhi. You would do better by tossing the Airtel sim into the nearest decaying gutter.

Caution all your friends and everyone in your zone of influence to avoid all Airtel mobile SIMS and DTH services. Airtel is best avoided like a plague.
THE BEST THING TO DO WITH AN AIRTEL SIM IS TO THROW IT INTO A PUTREFYING GUTTER AND FORGET ABOUT IT.

My Name is Lalremtluanga, I had used Airtel prepaid for long time now and I have no objections about it until yesterday when they obligated me to use their roaming services without asking my permission of certification or my approval.Since, I don't need a roaming services, I want them to STOP their Dirty Tricks of TAKING AWAY My MONEY without My permission, If they ignored me, then Goodbye AIRTEL Welcome BSNL or AIRCEL or RELIANCE or VODAFONE or IDEA.
I had an airtel number [protected] and they have disconnected my number without any reason without any prior information. I have over 1400 rupees in that number and they are neither re-funding back my money nor starting my number again.

I took a number from airtel on Thur, 17th June and got it rehcharged of an amount of Rs.1500 on Sat, 19th June. I had been using the number since 3rd July until Fri, 22nd July when I saw my sim doesnt catch network. I called up the customer care - the guy told me my sim would start in 24 hrs. It did not start. Then I called up again they asked me to email nodal officer. I emailed twice (ref no.[protected] and[protected]and got an email saying they would get back in 24 hrs. They did not get back. I went to the customer care centre. They said they would call me on Tuesday they did not. Then i spoke to nodal office Arpana on Wed, July 28. She said the problem was "insufficient documentation". I told her I did submit my drivers license and also filled a proper form. And that if that was the case how was I able to use it for so many days. Also, you send a message to submit documents again. I did not get that.Then she said she would call me in 24hrs. She did not. Then i called her on Mon, Aug 2. She said nothing can be done. I told her I would raise a complaint. She said you can do whatever you want.

Please help. This is not the right way to deal with a customer. I want my money back.

i am using airtel sim for last 3 years. in the initial stage i am well satisfied in this service. but for last 3 months i am not satisfy in this service.

for the months of june and july they had taken 30rupees from my mobile balance. so i asked to the customer care. they replied as money taken for friends chat activation.. i didnt activate anything in my mobile... and also i am not satisfy with their other replies... immediately i deactivated that activation at the starting of second month itself... again they taken 10 rupees on 4.8.2010. .. again i asked to customer care about that charging... for this also they told as charged for friends chat... and also they told some useless answers...

in my family all are using airtel simcard only... here after this process continues means i will throw away all that sims and goes to some other services...
Inspite of my request to deactivate all the services to my number you have deducted Rs.30.00 from my account for the unnecessary friends chat services.I am very sorry to say that i am going to close my Airtel prepaid account in two days if your not deactivating every services to my number.I am a senior citizen.These are all not necessary for me.My no. is [protected].
