[Resolved] BSNL — non availability of committed speed of bsnl broadband speed

Sir, I have Installed a bsnl broad band connection combo home plan(unlimited for Rs.750/pm)on December 2011, and bsnl committed the speed of 512kb/s, but the speed is always below 100kb/s mostly 25 to 70 kb/s. I have complained with costumer care on ph.no.1504 and they installed pin in my internet protocol but no change has been observed.I request to your good self kindly help me for justic and oblige. BSNL BB HOME PLAN — Non availability of usage details.

I am not getting the usage details from the site.Moreover, for the last three months I am getting exhorbitant amount on internet usage. Even though the details collected previously was less than 2 GB. Please clarify.

You have to understand the diff between kb/s and KB/s. when ISP specifies speed 512kb/s it is kilo bits. The download speed is denoted in KB/s -kilo bytes.
512 is Kilo bits per sec. so download speed would be arnd 50-60 kilo byte per sec.
So the speed you are getting is the correct speed.

I am satisfied your explanation but I have regularly noting the speed of download after complaint It was not increased above 40 kb/s
