[Resolved]  IFB Washing Machine — Service persons not attending

My IFB washing machine is under AMC and I am in chennai.In spite of the repeated request to the help line no service persons are attending the machine,The manager at Chennai is not even attending the calls.I am not able to under stand the reasons for this casual attitude.No higher officials telephone numbers are available for the redresal.

I had bought IFB Front load 7kgs washing machine on Aug 15th 2007 in Bangalore. The machine had problems from day one. We lodged several compalints in last 2 years regarding since the machine gave problems everytime. Last complain was logded on Aug 2nd, 2009 with their service centre called 'Sriram Agencies' in Bangalore. The service number is 3271378 and one of their service person came to repair it. He replaced a bush costing Rs 2800 and provided an additional stand worth Rs 2000. So we paid the whole amount. However the problems did not get sorted. The machine stopped working and person came again to check. This time he investigated that the front panel was completely rusted and needs to be replaced. This time the cost would be Rs 4700. We feel completely cheated. He says it cannot be replaced since it is not under warranty. My point is 'Why should we spend a Rs 10, 000? on repairing a two year old washing machine, when i can get a new machine at that cost" . My request would be either to get it replaced free of cost or replace the machine entirely.

IFB exective Plus wshing machine fully automatic — Not working at all

there was some complaint in the machine that some small unusual sound was coming while machine is under operation. Two service personnel came and did something. one of the boys name is Mr. George. they said they come with some parts on the next day and did not turn up. After their visit, the machine started giving additional problem such as when the machine is spinning, water is coming on to the floor. after continuous complaining, another two men came two months. they opened the machine and siad that the water tube is damaged and they aso said that they will bring the spare parts on the next day and without even closing the machine they went away. Again we complainedfor another one month, 3rd group came, closed the machine and went away saying that everything is alright. This happed when I was not at home and hence could not operate the same in their presence. Next day when I put the clothes it is not even rotating. Again we had made complaints over phone to the service centre. but of no use. No one turned up.

we are paying huge amount for buying these thins and if the service is like this, we had o advertise in the media/news paers not to buy IFB products. The second group who came were shown our IFB microwve oven which was not woking. They opend the oven and kept it as it is and wihout closing went off saying that nothing is wrong with the oven only wire is having some problem and they would bring the wire next day. The 3rd group came and closed the oven without repairing.

We are not able to understand whom o give our complaints other than the Consumer Redressal forum.
I have a washing machine Executive Plus of IFB. The warranty of that expied in June 2009. In May two service personnel visited my house on my complaint that there is some unusual noise while the machine is working. They just opened the machine, changed something and went off saying theat they would come onth e next day. One of the person's name was mr. George. No one turned up. The problem was more than the noise. This time water was coming out while spinning. Again we complained, after one month, another two came opened the machine and said that the water tube is having problem and kept the machine as it is and went off.We went on making phone calls to the service centre, but every time the reply comes promptly that they would be sending some one. When we said that we will take this mater to the consumer forum, again 2 men came and closed the opened machine and went off saying that they would come next day. But so far not reached our house.

We are paying a huge amount for this machine and suffering for having selected IFB and bought the same. There is no responsible person available in the company to whom we can interact with.

NO ONE SHOULD BUY IFB PRODUCTS ANY MORE. THE SERVICE BY OTHERS LIKE WHIRLPOOL ARE VERY GOOD. After paying so much money for this automatic machine, we are not able to use the same.

IFB management to be sued in the court of law.
Hi,

I bought the IFB digital 5 kg washing machine 20 days back in Bangalore Madiwala Total Mall.They delivered the damaged piece.

Also during demo session, the digital board got burnt..so demo person said they will replace the machine, but till this date there is response.. i dont know when they are going to replace.. i never used the machine single time..

serviceman or the organisation is not taking our problem seriously, since i puchased this machine a big problem we had got, some kind of soft/hardware is not working, second spiner is not working, third dryer is not working, i was thought that i made a mistake to purchase this machine and now im confirmed that i did a big mistake.

Take take more than Rs.1780/- For last year as AMC contract, after that one visited, an enquired what had happened, This is only money looting system in AMC

I registered a complaint on 17.09.09 regarding my IFB washing machine is not working. I have been calling the service centre centre every day - they promise me they will attend to it immediately. But till today no one has attended to the problem. I have spoken to the higher officals too regarding this but still there is no response.
I didn't expected such a poor service from IFB.

Reg: Delay and Inefficiency in attending the complaint no. 3505860 dt. 17.09.09 for Senator Washing Machine under AMC

Dear Sir,

I have enrolled myself as a customer for AMC of captioned washing machine vide AMC No. 18737307 on26.05.09. I had submitted a telephonic complaint at the mentioned tel. numbers on 17.09.2009 and it was supposed to be attended within 24 hours of the information to IFB, whereas only after persistent tel. follow up your service representatives turned up only on 20.09.09 that too with incomplete information regarding the fault. I am constrained to bring to your kind notice the grossly objectionable level of misbehavior by not only the service representatives who turned up at 3.30 pm and started demanding the AMC document like police constables demand your vehicle papers for checking/challaning purposes and not for serving the customers at all. Deliberately the papers were not shown to them because under none of the 15 conditions printed on your AMC contract anywhere it is required that these papers would be mandatory for presentment like a railway ticket for journey. You have my all the relevant details including the tel. no. and residential address for which you have issued this AMC, then why have the service representatives behaved in a highly irresponsible manner by way of making it a pre-condition that they would not attend the machine if the papers are not shown to them and exactly they behaved accordingly. In spite of their having agreed to come in the morning of 20.09.09 they did not turn up for the whole day. At 8.30 pm approx, the matter was taken up with one of your Service Incharge- Mr. Pankaj at his cell no. [protected]- he too not only avoided the matter for getting it expeditiously attended and answering as to under which authority from IFB’s Contract Note, I was required to present the AMC Document to your service representatives-to which he replied in a highly irresponsible manner stating that they are not IFB employees and are simply an outsourced firm working for IFB and would not attend the washing machine till they are shown the AMC Document to them – meaning thereby if somebody cannot present the AMC Document – first he would be required to obtain duplicate document and then show it to your servicing staff – what an objectionable and ridiculuous situation for a customer who has not been told to preserve this document and present it to him at the time of visit of their servicing staff.

Therefore, you are requested to:

1. Explain the conduct of your company-do they serve as IFB or simply hire/outsource such irresponsible people resulting in shaking our trust-we feel IFB is servicing whereas the outsourced staff has not been even properly sensitized as to how to handle the customer care issues in such situations;
2. Were your representatives justified in demanding the presentment of AMC Document?
3. Are there any instructions from IFB to service staff for requiring the presentment of AMC document?
4. If no, how did it happen with us?
5. Please explain and indemnify the delay and inefficiency in providing service under AMC. My family was held up for five days-the token damages for five days be paid by way of not only refunding the AMC Charges but also additional damage @ Rs. 10000/- per day, i.e. Rs. 53,000/- for mental agony, harassment, and consuming our precious time in following up the matter with you;
6. Confirm the issuance of revised suitable instructyions to your servicing people
7. Send me a WRITTEN APLOGY ALONGWITH THE DRAFT FOR REFUND OF AMC CHARGES AND DAMAGES UPTO 30.09.09 failing which the matter would be moved through International Consumer Rights Protection Council, a copy of this mail is also being forwarded to them.

Needless to mention, the matter shall be taken to its logical conclusion, no nonsense is going to be tolerated at any cost.

ifb machine is the worst service providers that i have ever seen.Wrong costmumer care number and has no response or service at all.

To the person in incharge,

It is to inform you that we are reguler user of ifb since 10 years.we not very happy with the service you provide with customer care lines.which are open 24/7 but we hardly get response.They are either bussy or on pre recorded message.Most of the time we have to try for hours to register our complaint & Then we end up dealing directly with lucky service centre.

I called the service cenre on 14 sept, 2009. A person came and examined the machine. He advised for AMC. The payment of Rs1985 was paid for ICR 10247. But there after they are not responding. There is a need to improve the service provided to customers.

IFB washing machine - Senator X — machine stopped after two washes

Dear Sir / Madam,
I recently (29th Aug. 09) bought IFB senator washing machine from BEA, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. After two washes, during the third wash the machine stopped midcycle. We called the BEA and two engineers attended. Both said that the mother board was faulty. This was shocking since the machine was purchased on 29/08/09, used for the first time on 03/09/09 and asked for a replacement. I was promised a new machine and since the engineer who tested left water in the machine, I asked them to remove it. In the meantime we left CBE to come back to UK on the 19th Sept. 09. Since then I have requsted twice for the faulty machine to be removed from Srevasta Residency, Coimbatore. The water left in the machine will start to smell. I am at my wits end. I strongly request you to remove the faulty washing machine from the above mentioned property. For a well recommended brand like yours should provide a solid and fast customer services. The customer should not have to request again and again for the services.

IFB service is poor at Hyderabad. I am on AMC for my Executive plus washing machine.It is almost impossible to register a complaint with them Local service contract agency also does not even lift their phones.
