[Resolved]  IFB Washing Machine — Service persons not attending

My IFB washing machine is under AMC and I am in chennai.In spite of the repeated request to the help line no service persons are attending the machine,The manager at Chennai is not even attending the calls.I am not able to under stand the reasons for this casual attitude.No higher officials telephone numbers are available for the redresal.

We also contact to Mr. Pankaj, Nidhi, Dinesh , Shariq & Vinay serval time about my complain but no person attend complain.

I purchased a ELENA DX 5.5kg from your dealer M/s QRS, MG ROAD ERNAKULAM on[protected].The machine was erected by your team after 3 days. 1 month after usage the machine showed problems and reported to your service center at ERNAKULAM.The complaint was registered and within a week, 1 staff from the service center visited and said that there is no problem for the machine and said us to use.From[protected], the machine produces large sound and shaking . Now, it is not in a working condition. The complaint was registered and the COMPLAINT NUMBER is 3500031.Evenafter several remainders no one attended the same and we are in great difficulty. Yours is a reputed company, and that was why we purchased the machine from you by giving a huge money.Whenever we contacted the service center, they are saying "SORRY FOR THE DELAY" .DONOT GIVE VAGUE PROMISES, PUT IT IN ACTION.We donot want the machine ! Kindly take it and repay the money urgently . Otherwise I will be forced to move legally, consumer court for replacement of the machine and other damages! [[protected]-MOB]
Sir, The machine is out of service requirement is lying idle for more than 1 year. More than a dozen of complaint is not solving the problem. The service centre at Cuttack is happy not to respond. request some steps from your side, if possible. Thanx and regards.

IFB Front loading — Tearing the Clothes & Water coming from coin collector at the bottom

Dear Sir/Madam,

My washing machine is only 4 months old

1) Four dresses in 4 times one at each time has been torn. After the second instance, i have booked a complaint and a service engineer has come and checked and told that there was no problem. But it continued to tear the clothes.

2) Now one more problem added for the past 2 washes, Water is getting leak at the bottom near the coin collector.

Can you kindly look in to this issue and rectify for ever. I have choosen IFB for its performance, but i am feeling bad now.

Note: Please attend this on coming Friday, Saturday or Sunday. (From 2nd Oct to 4th Oct)

All these complaints may be true, because I have much deadly experience with IFB.Such type of companies take disadvantage of Indian consumer.All these comments shall be published in all local and national news papers.

It has been a week since we have lodged a complaint about our non functional IFB machine, it has not been attended to.
the customer care is either engaged or no one picks up the phone.
Our previous experience was they took a fortnight to appear to check, then another week to set the complaint right and charged us for two visits.
my washing machine is under AMC with ifb i have booked the complaint for huge noise during spin and the local representative has said the motor has to be changed and it will be done in two days that was the reply on 8/09/2009. My customer id is 462458 and my compliant no is 3465633 dt 07/09/2009 . As on date i have been calling the local rep and the complaints toll free no but there is no response for my problem . Despite being an AMC customer this is the fate. How to solve this problem is not known to me.

IFB Washing Machine — Not washing properly/ complaint no 39004321

From few months my washing machine is not properly working Yesterday one person came from service centre he was opened machine told that drum, bearing,motor is gone out of service he has given estimate of more than rs7000/.so my question is that above parts is not repairable,because only three year machine is old and repair cost is coming more.

I have purchased a washing mechine ( Model Elite DX, Sl.No.001338 ) from Thomson Associates Mananthavady, Wayanad, Kerala on 30-09-08. Two weeks ago, when I switched on that, a sound heared (like a small capacitor explode) and felt a smell of burning and I suddenly switched off. The same day I informed the Thomson Associates and the service technition. He came the next day and examined the mechine, its board was burned.He send that your service centre at Cochin.But till the day 03-10-09 the new board is not installed and I can not works with it.Only one day running distance is from Cochin to Mananthavady.Then why the delay for solve my problem? I expect that you will take necessary steps soon.

I bought Digital 7 kg WM, from the 3rd day of purchase we are facing the same problem. we have paid 30000 for the machine. but after sales service is very very very very pooooooooooooooooorr. once the complient is raised they take atleast 1 week to repair it but Call centre people say WITHIN 24 HRS YOUR PROBLEM WILL BE RESOLVED.

I have purchased a IFB Digital Washing machine in 2007 and it is under AMC.
I booked a complaint for the problem "E 8".Machine completely Off.
The first complaint was booked on 03.09.2009 and complaint no. was 3446628.
After 7 days one person came and said i have not detected fault i will send a senior technician.i am waiting another 7days nobody came to attend.I contacted customer care & again registered another complaiant 3479802. Again one person came and see nothing do anything. Than I requested their Service Manager and Area Manager, they send a technician & said Digital board to be replaced
and he would replace with in 2 days. Till date not response anybody.
Even though I requested many times their Service Manager & local service centre, they were
always telling they will send service person with in 2 days.
I HAD COMPLAINED REGARDING NON WORKING OF MACHINE AROUND 22.09.09 TO YOUR CUSTOMER SERVICE. MECHANIC VISITED ON 24.09.09 AND ATTENDED BUT ADVISED THAT SOME PARTS ARE REQUIRED WHICH THEY HAVE TO GET FROM GAZIABAD.BUT TILL DATE WE ARE UNABLE TO USE THE MACHINE. WE HAD PURCHASED IT 10.04.09 FROM SHIV LIGHT HOUSE MATHURA.
WE HAD AGAIN COMPLAINED TO YOUR CALL CENTRE TODAY BUT NO RESPONSE.

It has been ten days I'm following up the customer care service centre of IFB for the repair of my washing machine but i'm getting no response from them, the after sale service of the company is really very pathetic . I really regret the day when some one suggested me to buy this m/c but I will not repeat the same .

Me, Mrs. Subhamita Biswas (address : Dakshin para, GIP colony, Jagacha, Santragachi, Howrah -711112, W.B.) have a IFB fully automatic washing machine. I purchased this machine on 8th December, 2007 and its now under extended warranty period.

For last one and a half month, my machine is not working. I repeatedly talked to your customer care executives. And they sent the mechanic on second week of August. The mechanic said that he needed to change one of the part of my machine. He took that old part and told me he would come again on third week of August and fixed the new one. Since then nobody came, no phone calls from IFB, nothing... I again put a docket (for the second time, on 22nd August, 2009, docket no. 3403185). I called IFB Concern Department, IFB Branch office for atleast fifty times. But none of them gave me any feedback. I am so frustated. Even I emailed to the customer care dept. But they only send me a formal apology. And then again a big silence... Now I just want to sell this machine which occupy a large space in my room.

For last six years, my family is using IFB washing machine and we have three machines in total. I always get very prompt service from your division. And I am also satisfied with your service all the time. But this time, my impression is totally changed. Its really very frustating for me. You know without washing machine for one and a half month, life is became very very tough. I am a working person, have a patient in my house. I am still waiting for the feedback.
I do agree with all complainants. IFB has lost its class and is lagging far behind after sale services then its competitors.
If at all IFB sends service hands, they don't know nothing about product and are unable to understand root cause of problem.
I have been struggling to get my IFB drier operational now for almost six months with an AMC and still IFB is doing all short of R & D without solving the problem.
This is very unprofessional and easygoing attitude of IFB.
Hi All,

I read most of the comments in this forum. In fact I was planning to buy one washing machine very soon. Now this is really eye-opener for me. I do not think I'll buy one. I would appreciate if someone can give me some alternatives.

It is unfortunate that customer service in every sphere in India is so horrible.

Very Poor service. Never buy IFB machine. If you have alrady bought it then never get AMC. I have taken AMC twicie and daily contacting their customer care, Incharge Local centre at Ludhiana for the last 23 days and unable to get the fault ccorrected
