[Resolved]  Indian Railway — Miss management at AC coaches

In all the pantry cars of Indian railway pantry car ,they are nit providing biscuit with tea.The qulity of food is aldo extremely bad.

I boarded from sarai rohilla station in delhi and want to go to lodi colony, but after patel nagar station in train number not known, but know that it is from shakur basti to nizammudin via patel nagar and lajpat nagar. The time for this traint for reaching Sarai Rohilla is 09:50 A.M., but it reaches around 10:15 or 10:30 A.M. Today, i.e. on 16.02.2009, I boarded from sarai rohilla station in delhi and want to go to lodi colony, but after patel nagar station he current failed and driver cried and shoutedly said to all passengers to get down, that the current failed. All the somehow passengers get down when the train stopped on the outskirts of the station of patel nagar, i.e. कूदते-कूदते। Then again, he said to board on this train, which was so tough because it was not on the platform. What is this choas, Sir, in the running train, you say all the passengers to get down and then again to board. But, somehow, the fault got corrected in half-an-hour and the train went to the destination.

Kindly look into this and give me a reply on C-12, Second floor, Subhdra Colony, New Delhi-110035.

Dear sir,

On 19th of Feb. I was on New delhi railway station on Ajmeri Gate side and the time was 1900 hrs.I saw the security personals that they are not cheking any luggage, infact demanding Rs.100 for each box or bag whatever it may be. They are saying that these items are banned in train but if you do some sewa-pani then we will allow you. As a common man I want to know that if some one taking some banned or sensitive item on train then would it be possible to pass them for Rs.100? Then what about the life of other people.
I rushed to the complain counter but I didn't find infact none are providing the right info. about the complain counter.I found one Tele. No. to complain but no one is receiving the call.
As an educated citizen i am taking the help of this site.
God only knows the fate of the tax payer citizens.

I want to complain about the extra berth which has been added in the sleeper class of mail/exp trains.Majority of people travel in sleeper class and it causes a lot of inconvenience and anger to all the passengers.its like torturing the common man. Even after 60 years of independence we have not been able to achieve any breakthrough in speed or comfort instead railway is playing with sentiments and money of people.Mr Lalu Prasad says railway is making profit yes it must be true but all by squeezing the peoples pockets either by cancellation, adding extra berth & tatkal system.. Add some more AC bogies reduce sleeprs as people are becoming rich. Kindly give better services when u are in great profit.We also deserve the services after all the money u have is ours

Indian Railway — TC not taking care of passenger travelling in sleeper without having reservation.

I had been travelling on[protected] from Jhansi to Hazrat Nizamuddin Railway Station via Chattisgarh Express (Train Number 8237), my PNR number was [protected] and my birth numer was 71 in S13 coach.

Problems that I faced -

1. When I entered in the coach, I was searching for the birth number 71, surprisingly the numbers were messy, by introducing the side middle birth. I was wating for the TC to make sure which birth belongs to me.

2. Persons who does not have reservation is travelling in Reservation coach. TC is teling those pessenger to go out but no body listeing to him seriously every body is waiting for TC to get free from checking the tickets then hoipng that he/she will give 100/- or 50/- Rs and get the birth.
When TC left the one passenger family came to my seat and without asking has tken my seat. I insist her to stand from my seat, she started to give me lecture, that he did not get reservation so give me seat without requesting me she deliverately tken my seat. She was lady so I request him but she is not listening to me.
My question to Indian Railway, why this is happening ? Why you guise are not doing any serious things (if you are thining that you are doing then forget about this because this is happening). You should apply heavy fine or throw then to jail.

3. There is no indication in railway station that which coach will come at what location ? You have to wait and then you have to rush to that coach that is very difficult if you are traveling with childs and parents. Indian Railway should work on this.

Today[protected] morning at 7AM, I went to Secunderabad Railway station and I spent more than 1/2 Hr to get the platform ticket. Do you believe. If not please go and check. And there was a machine which gives the platform ticket for 5/-, but its doesn't work always. Better if look into this.

Indian Railways — refund of wrong panalty imposed

With due respect I beg to state that on date 15.01.2009 I was travelling by train no.2660 from balasore to coimbatore with my ticket no 10496079.on the way mr.Sri nivasha murthy [TTE/DFSI/B2A] asked me to show my age proof then I showed my voter id card & ration card.On ration card my age was 62 but on voter card my age was 58 which is wrong, But inspite of ration card the TTE person didnt agree with my age mentioned on ration card and then imposed Rs 2521/- as both fare and access fare which was completely unreasonable and i was compeled to pay the said amount.

so there fore i request you to refund the unusual fare taken by me..

Dear Sir,

I traveled by Garib Rath: 2909 on 18th December, PNR: [protected] in coach G-3. I got the beddings on payment, however these beddings were bery shabby, unwashed and un-ironed with full of stains. On our repeated complaints to the coach attendant Mr. Satyanarayan Ray and to the T/C, the beddings were replaced. However, even the replaced beddings were equally dirty.

Further, even after our repeated call, the complaint book was not produced, nor was the supervisor called. In fact I have tried to locate an address where I could post my complaint letter, but I could not find the same.

Hope necessary action would be taken to ensure maintenance of basic standards of hygiene and hospitality and a proper complaint redressal mechanism be put in place.

Sub: Poor quality of food supplied in Rajadhani Express (T.No2486)

I had travelled from New Delhi to New Jalpaguri on 03rd February 2000 by spl Rajdhani express (Train No-2486).after boarding train at 9:30 am they have not provided breakfast and tea and

The food supplied in the train was below standard in all sence and which badly affected my stomach. This experience was not only for me but the same was the experience for other passengers.

I request and respect your kind attention to this matter and make necessory orders to keep the quality of the food supplied in the train in future

Indian Railway — Oppressed and behaved in a high handed manner to a Lady Passenger in TATKAL SEVA.

Respected Sir,

On 04/02/2009 I was traveling by 2129up ex PUNE to HOWRAH in TATKAL SEVA ticket in SL class providing berth no ‘S-7’, 1 & 3 vide PNR[protected] holding IRTCT e-Ticketing. As and when asked for your checking Official to show my journey authority I produced him my e-ticket along with my Voter ID card accordingly. After examining my ticket on duty official started cross examination for obtaining ticket and tried to establish I was holding an invalid ticket, his forceful attitude with violence to detrain us in the next station. Observing my position to my co-passenger entire fare the case then your high official issued me EXCESS FARE TICKET No.G608555 with cost Rs.150/- due to short realization of TATKAL charges.

On the above fact I earnestly request to you kindly give me the following information regarding your checking official identity to start a judicial suit.
1. Name. 2. Fathers Name. 3. Office Address as per Service Book. 4. Date of appointment. 5. PF No. 6. Pay Scale.

Your cooperation and earnest effort is highly appreciated.

The transaction has done two times at the time of booking. so pls refund the amount of one transaction which was wrongly debited .Because same day on same train two passenger cant travel at 4 birth.

Indian Railways — mobile theft from the first class compartment of a CST bound train (Central Railways)-6th March 2009

Dear Sir/Madam,


With reference to the above subject would like to bring to your notice that my cell phone LG Viewty was ripped off when I was traveling to CST from Mulund in the first class. I boarded the 9.41 a.m train from Mulund. These guys (assuming they are operating in a group) probably boarded the train in Ghatkopar or Kurla and got down in Dadar where most of the commuters get down. They use the crowded train to their advantage. I got to know about this only after I reached Byculla and it was too late for it.

I have informed the Railway Police who quite frankly told me that don't hope for too much to happen.

Indian Railways — excessive delay of train

I had purchased a E Ticket for train number 4650 SaryuYamuna exp from Amritsar. It was travelling about 6 hours late from the departure time of 12.00 PM. Due to this I had to travel by bus to reach Delhi on time. I could not cancel my ticket as the reservation clerk said they did not have any info about the delay and they will cancel only after that for a refund. I was travelling throughout the day after that and could not cancel. Now I cant cancel as the chart was prepared.

Sub: Airoli Railway Station

1) Airoli Railway Station is having no water in the toilet and no cleanliness is maintained. Nobody is looking after the administration job as public is misusing the station premises and spoiling the atmosphere. No police is found in the plaftforms.

2) No train indicator.

3) No clock.

4) No announcement of trains movements as sometimes of the trains are gets cancelled and not in schedule.

5) Ticket counter is common for pass and ticket. It os observed that during peak hours it is difficult to manage the crowd by railway staff.

Request for necessary steps.

I had travelled from Vadodara to N. Delhi on 8th March by Sampark Kranti in III AC. The condition of the bed roll was horrible. The blanket was torn, the bedsheets pillows were dirty and there was no towel etc. If railways are charging so much why not provide proper services for same. It has become worse. Is Sh. Lalu Prasad Listening?

We were travelling from Udhampur to delhi (Udhampur delhi special) on 11th March'09 train no. 0404 PNR no. [protected], Tkt no.24215735, 3A. however the coach was for name sake Ac otherwise it was similar like that general dabba. There was no Ac, No bedding, no water at all and no 1 came to see the passengers travelling in this coach no 8145. No secrurity, no TT came to even check the tkts. We were travelling with small infant journey was like hell. We don't expect such a kind of behaviour from our own Railways. We paid the AC amount for general dabba so request to reimburse the same amount or suggest whether we should expect some action from railways?????
