In all the pantry cars of Indian railway pantry car ,they are nit providing biscuit with tea.The qulity of food is aldo extremely bad.

Indian Railway — Forcefully Fine and Harassment for Holding right and valid Pass

Dear Sir,

My wife was traveling in First Class coach of Mumbai Local Train, she get in from Ulhasnagar, on 6th Jan, 09 when she get down at the Dadar Station and one Lady TC ask her for the Pass and ID card,
she was having her pass with her, however she has forgot to paste her Photo on the ID Card, because of this TC ask her to pay the Fine.

My wife has explain her (TC) that she can verify the ID number with the Number which is printed in the Pass which was matching but she was not ready to agree, in fact she started abusing her.

My wife told her that right now she don’t have money, and she will pay the fine one my husband (ME) will reach the station which will take half an hour, however that Lady TC was not ready to agree and aging started freighting and abusing her, even the TC has check her bag forcefully. Because of this she has submitted her Cell phone and then gone to ATM to pay the fine.

My wife explains the situation to the Dadar Station Master (Mr. Tolani) however he was also not ready to cooperate.

Then after halt an hour when I reach Dadar Station I have Spoken to Station Master, I agree that that ok at one point of time we are agree that it was our mistake but how can you staff abuse any one with out no reason. I just told him to call that Lady TC and say sorry to my wife,

Instead of listening to us they started given excuses and saying all other rubbish thing

I have just have fine slip with me as an proof.

Now a days TC do what ever they want to do to complete there targets and harass genuine commuters

Please bring this notice to the concern department who can take action against this

As i was on o tour from bilaspur to Delhi and returned by chattisgarh express

1. entry of passangers with general ticket/ MST / without ticket in our compartment and quarelling for sitting at our seats.
2. unavailabilty of water in the coach/ compatment toilets
3. no complaint books are provided on asking so to TTE/ TC, etc
4. Ask for bribe by ticket chekers between beena to jhansi for our original consessional tickets

i think u should help me in these situations as iam a coustomer to ur facility

I am a middle aged average citizen of India.I reserve my ticket as soon as i can, which is almost always around one and a half to two months before journey date.Mostly I travel with my family.And even though I have my wife with me, it happens that I dont get lower birth.
This time i reserved my ticket on 08/01/09 to travel from Hazrat Nizamuddin to Gondia station on 19/02/09 in the train Gondwana express(2410), and even though trere was my wife with me, i didnt get even a single lower birth.
It is my presumption that this happens due to some malpractrices of ticket booking agents.
Please take some action to see that groups with middle aged or senior people get lower birth.

With reference to the PNR number provided above, I have travelled along with my family by Gareeb Rath from Viskhapatnam to Seconderabad on 17th January 2009.

My reservation status after Chart preparation was RG3 - 1 for 3 o[censored]s.

The TTE, who was in charge of the G3 bogie, after so many requests and discussions to confirm the berths for us, has demanded money to tell the already allotted berths, though there were several berths vacant. I finally paid the TTE to have a comfortable journey as I have already spent so much.

It is also inform to you that the TTE was sitting in the Chair Car without even coming to the RAC travellers. He was collecting money who ever meets him.

I request the authorities to take appropriate action for the corrupt practices by the said TTE.

It is also to inform you that at Seconderabad station, corrupt practices are followed in the name of EQ (Emergency Quota). They collect money and release EQ. When contacted about this, the railway personnel sitting there went into arguments and have no concern about the sufferings of the public.

I am sending this email with a "little hope", that this kind of corrupt practices could be stopped to some extent (if authorities are concerned) in this corrupt country.

1. Toilets were so dirty and impossible to use .
2.Ravi Express is usally stops at JANTIPUR station.Distance of 35 km is coverd in 60 minuts

Just wanted to give some advice where railway department has to improve...

Just 4 Days back i travelled from chennai to Pune, it was tooo tooo bad services...

1. We all passengers book tickets 2 to 3 Months before and then we travel, most of the people they are in waiting list and they are coming and occupying the reserverd compartments, what the hell TC and RPF is doing. If all these Weighting list people r coming and occuplying means what is the security we have while travelling.

2. Food which has been provided through Canteen are too BAD, cant able to keep in mouth also.

3. And the main point i wanted to Mark here is about RPF Police, what is the use in putting them in train, these people cant check any thing what is going on train, but can catch people who r smoking by getting down the train. They take 500 to 1200 RS.good for nothing peoples...Just wanted to rob the people, please ask these people to follow up with these people to do their duties properly first.

Indian Railway — refund of ticket

I reserved a berth in train from Bathinda - New Delhi
for date 26th Jan in Udyan Abha Exp. 3008A. PNR No.
[protected]. Date of Booking 24th Jan 09

The ticket was prepared by vendor/Ticketing Agent, Mr.
Amar, Lucky Cyber Cafe, Bibi Wala Road, Bathinda. was
in waiting list.

The berth was not confirmed till last and TT told that
the ticket will be refunded automatically from where
you got it reserved. Also it was confirmed by railway
staff, Plateform number 6.

I purchased ordinary Ticket and traveled but The above
said ticket is not refunded even after 01 week time
by the vendor. Please revert with solution. Is that
consumer court case ?

Western Railways — girl student- season ticket.

Respected Sir,
I travel from Mira Road to Malad, where my college is located.I study in FYBCom(B&I).Till now we were given free seasons ticket, but now the ticket issueing authorities at Mira Road are asking for 50% charges.My complaint is, Laluji in his Budget 2008-09 has granted concession to girl students then Why now the benefits are being withdrawn?? Please look into the matter & send me the reply. So that i can clarify with the authorities.This is the serious matter of not following our Ministers orders.

(Bombay- Hyderabad) from AC II tier.Pentry car staff selling the fooditems in more price.
I took Bread-omlet for breakfast . He asked Rs. 25 for one Bread-omlet .I asked him
the price list.and complaint book also, But he said its not available.He charged more money from everybody

I have booked E-Ticket for Train no 5929 Diburgah Express vide pnr Number [protected] From Chennai-Rjy on dated 29th Jan .

But on Reaching Egmore station (Chennai) it was conveyed that Diburgah Express has been cancelled which has caused lot of agony, Hardship and pain to me and to my family. we then went to Chennai central Current Reservation counter to Inquire if reservation was available in any other train But again we were con veyed That Systems are down and they cannot provide availability of Ticket.

Train no 5929 Is a weekly train and cancellation about this train could have been intimated to me thru Email which was not done we would like to know why this cannot be done.

i Was running like a Mad Dog on platforms of chennai central along with my pregnant wife and 6 month old kid begging TT To allow me to board compartment.

i Had to spend an additonal amount of 1.5k rupees for bribing TT, Moving from one station to another by means of auto e.t.c.

Request help me in getting this amount reimbursed.

Indian Railways / Chennai - Bbsr Express / S7 - 0009, 0012 — wrong berth confirmation

dear sir,

I have booked an e-ticket on 16 -01 -09 from chennai to vzm in chennai - bbsr express for dated 06-02-09 and I got the confirmed ticket for berth 0009 & 0012 in coach S7 with lower berth for both the tickets whereas while traveling We are forced to travel in the upper berth.


As we are advised not to climb up & with small kid, So during booking I have specifically mentioned to book for lower berth else not to issue the ticket on non-availability of lower berth and I got confirmation for lower berth while booking E-ticket and also during the boarding the train from the printed chart on S7 Coach, it was very much clear that We have LOWER BERTH TICKET, But We are harassed by T T E & forced to travel on Upper berth, Due to this we have faced severe physical & mental pressure and we request the authority to take not of this and take the appropriate action to avoid such incident and reply me at the earliest.

In case of no reply with action what has been taken I will have no other go but to book a consumer case against the railways department.

Hope for a suitable solution or compensation to me to make up this agony.

Indian Railway — Indian Railway - to control rush at Bhubaneswar Rly Stn.

Bhubaneswar Rly Stn has only 4 Nos of plateforms. Always packed with trains. Too much rush. Most of the Trains coming here are stoped at outer signal for about 20 minutes or more as plateform not found empty.
This city is Capital of Orissa State and expanding day by day.

It will be better, if the trains starting from and comming back to Bhubaneswar should be stopped at next nearby sub-urban station "Bani Bihar" /Mancheswar / "Lingraj Temple Rd", so that about 50% of passengers can get down and get up in the trains. about 15-20 minutes and 3-6 KMs journey expanses of lakhs of passengers can be saved and Bhubaneswar Station can be free from uncontrolled rush.

I would like to share one incident to all of you.i booked ticket from Mumbai to Satna for 30 april.as i knew from net there are some more seat available for 26, 27, 28, 29.as I Cancelled my earlier ticket of 30 april and asked for 26 booking.he said there is no seat are available however two seat were available clearly.he said in bad manner "JAB NET PE MIL RAHA HAI TO NET SE HI LE LO".i asked one question to him so what you are doing here.please give your resignation to govt whether you are no more longer to wish your job.he got so angry...tell me people i if i said anything wrong to him.nonsense people they think railway is their fathers property and they can book ticket to whomsoever they want.and govt do not mind this mindset of those employees.because i do not know why???????????
Sir/Madam,

The A/C coaches of all the trains between Bangalore and Kerala (Kochuveli and Trivandrum) are infested with rats and cockraoches. Are they never cleaned? Doesnt Railways believe in pest control? Travelling with children in such abominable conditions after paying a hefty amount is truly painful.

I hope our honorable Railway Minister Lalu Prasad Yadavji will look into the matter of cleanliness in our coaches, including the A/C coaches.
My complaint and suggestions for the train service in Kerala, as you all aware very few trains are available in Kerala and all train is not Stops in Chalakudy, CHALAKUDY IS A IMPORTANT PICNIC SPOT, ATHIRAPPILLY WATER FALLS AND SPIRITUAL CENTERS LIKE DIVINE RETREAT CENTREARE SITUATED HERE. Please look into this matter to STOP all trains EXCEPT KERALA EXPRESS. In my complaint I strogly recommend to stop all train passing through CHALAKUDY it is Very URGENT and IMPORTANT which may please note. I have already send letter to Honble, Railyway Minister in this regard.

Meantime, your goodselves shall take the necessary steps and this coming election this will be a main agenda so that it is crucial for all passengers.

Please explain, why you have deducted my amount for your canceled train.
You have not given any reply for my previous mail.That train was not running between those station.Your team only told to cancel ticket for that train and take other ticket.
