[Resolved]  Meru Cabs Mumbai — highly Irresponsible services

I had booked a meru on 22nd december 09 for travelling on 23rd december evening i.e 5.30 pm . Booking was almost done 24 hours prior .
I got a text message from meru stating that i will cab details 30 min prior to pickup time and my ref . number is ALA 49412 ...
On twenty third at 5 pm i didnt received cab details so i called meru to know the status and i got a reply that we cant provide you a cab as there is no vehicle available near your vicinity ...i simply dont understand then whats the point of booking a cab 24 hours prior basis ...
I had to attend an important family function ... unfortunately i had to rush everywhere to find a local cab and i had to travel by a non air conditioned fiat taxi ......
All such inconvience was caused just because of irresponsible behaviour ...
If mery would have informed me even at 3 that cab wont come , iwould have arranged for some other cab .... but no customer needs the cab so he will call us .... such kind of careless attitude is not at all expected from any companies ...

I strongly agree..

There have been three unpleasant experiences in the last 3 weeks.

1st incident:
Just like others, my cab which was booked 24 hours earlier, was cancelled just 10 minutes before pick up time. This was very early morning. I almost missed my flight.

2nd incident:
Again early morning, 10 minutes before pick up time, i get a call from meru saying the car will be 15 minutes late.

3rd incident:
I call up meru from their phone counter at mumbai airport arrivals, booking gets confirmed, i get SMS of confirmation with car driver name and cab no. The driver refuses to allow me inside the car, since the same SMS was also issued to another passenger against the same car and same driver, at the same time, and for the same pick up location. Moreever the passenger wanted to travel to Thane and since the driver also stayed at Thane, he refused to drop me at Andheri, since it was 11:30 p.m.

This obviously is not expected from a car service provider. I can;t encourage anyone to use Meru...IT IS NOT RELIABLE...today it is this way...we don't know what it will be in future...MERU owes each o[censored]s a written apology.
Last week we hired a Meru cab from Cuffe Parade to Mulund for which the distance is almost 30 kms...Im sure not more than that. I was expecting the Meru cab bill would turn up around Rs.450 but surprisingly our bill total came up to Rs.578. I thought I ended up paying more than actual. Not too sure if this is the amount that we paid was genuine. I guess they have fake price meters too. As their website states that in Mumbai the flag down fare is Rs.20 & further Rs.14 p/km. And this was not also midnight. And also we didnt keep cab fellow waiting for more than 15mins. Im sure they hve fake meters.

MERU cab Services — IRRESPONSIBILITY

i Ms.Akshada kale putting up this complaint on my dad's behalf as he is off to intl trip after hussle bussle in morning due to poor and worse service of MERU CAB SERVICE we ordered vehicle 4drop at intl apt and asked to report at07.15hrs today (08 july) driver suresh narayan singh came at 07.05hrs i told him tht we called vehicle at 07.15hrs...i told him ok wait pax will cm down...it was raining heavily...pax got down exactly at 07.25hrs..he waved even knocked d window but this guy juz drew away d car.as he didn't see any one..wht kind of service is this if this meru service dont need business then why don't they shutdown and stop fooling customers...who is responsible if person misses his flight(09.45hrsdep) and business..n wht abt d trouble caused at such early morning ..whose gona answere.......details of booking.pax name Ashok kale...meru vehicle no.MH01JA5351...DRIVER NAME :SURESH NARAYAN SINGH....i request everyone who read this complaint if this driver with this vehicle number meets u dont let him go.....i saw my dad in trouble my blood is boiling swear......

Terribly pathetic and Disgusting...!!!
I booked a cab at 6:00 am to depart at 7:30 am. that means 90 min ahead of time when i actually needed the vehicle. I got the confirmation SMS giving the details about driver name, Car number plate etc... I had to go to Visa interview at American consulate.
When I called up the driver at 7:30 am, he told me that he doesnot have my details and he is somewhere else waiting for another customer.
I dont understand what premature software this company uses...

BOTTOM LINE IS...WHEN YOU HAVE COMMITMENT...NEVER EVER OPT FOR MERU CABS...

Meru Taxi service — Meru cancelled the cab half an hour before the cab reporting time

I Booked a Meru cab on 13/10/2010 for drop to International airport on 14/10/2010 ( booking was done almost 24 hrs before the cab reporting time). Half an hour before the scheduled cab reporting time, got call from Meru cab that they do not have cab for me, and pls arrange something else for yourself.
Hi I am sachin, i requested for cab 12Hrs prior and I was informed that the request is accepted, detailes will be sent half hour prior to pick up.

I didnt get details of cab half an hour before, when i called up, i was told that there no vehicles available.

Even no body bothered to contact and inform that MERU cant provide service.

Conclusion - cant rely, specially when you have important works and deadlines to meet.

I booked a Meru yesterday night for 8.45pm.At 8.50 they called up and told that no cabs are available.Being a lady and as I'm new to Mumbai I was really stuck up because of this behaviour from Meru.Very irresponsible service.To avoid these kind of confusions I booked it before 20 hours from the time of boarding.Without asking they cancelled my request.
I had same experience, very bad service, i had an incident with meru cab around few months back, i was waiting for it, customer care wasnt replying properly, and also after getting the confirmation, the cab didnt come, it was a pain that day in the midnight...VERY BAD SERVICE BY THEIR DRIVERS...they pick the call drunk ...cant rely on them..
absolutely terrible service, I have been using Meru cabs for more than a year on very regular basis, giving them business almost 500-700 rupees per day and all was fine, but recently i have seen everything detoriating with meru, for past few months i have never got a cab, worst thing is about mumbai domestic airport, its big time hassle to get a cab from there, earlier you could get cab by calling now you have to que up and even after long wait they tell you that they cant provide cab, whats up with them i think they dont want to do any business pathetic service. even right now, i got confirmation in afternoon that i will get a cab at 4am now i called back since i never received SMS they are saying there are no cabs available. :O i mean what!!! Extreamly bad service, I am better of paying some driver to pick me and drop me using my own car totaly unreliable.
