Hi,
My question to the Indian railway management is related to usage of general boogies in express trains.
Are the general boogies for the poor peaple's low cost travel boogie or its for everyones sort distance travel, or its for the people who does not get reservation confirmation because their plan was immediately made.
Many people will plan their travel, but do not book the ticket as their journey starts from source station, , so they occupy the a complete birth in the general boogie. I do not understand where would the short distance travells will go. If, they ride on the reserved boogies, they are panalized heavily.
I think, government should define this, , and address the issue.
Regards,
Brijesh

Complaint marked as Resolved
I am a regular traveller between Bangalore and Mysore. Normaly I take train from banalore in morning time and comeback night. All these days I used to take ticket 2 or 3 days in advnace sothat I can avoid coming to the station about an hour early in morning to take ticket. During this time more than 4 to 6 trains are departing to various places and eventhough more than 6to 7 counters are there, each counter will be crowded with morethan 100 people. Our house is about 15 kms from station and to catch train of 6.25am I have to be there at the counter before 5.30am. So I have to leave my house atlease 4.30 am in the morning. At this time no local buses will be there. Last week when I went for taking the advance ticket I was surprised to know that advance tickets will not be given for less than 200km. This is very much problematic. Pl. make it atleast 100km instead of 200km. This will be very much helpful to hundreds of regular travelers between Bangalore and Mysore. Hope you do the needful.
