Dear Sir,
While travelling in the AC 2Tier coach No.A3 (Boogie No.04052, Berth No.3) of the Howrah Kalka Mail (2311 UP) on 16/08/2009 from Howrah to Mughalsarai a Laptop Bag containing a Dell Laptop, a Digital Cannon Camera, my Office I.D. Card, 2 Pen Drives, Rs.200/= cash and other important items was stolen between 10.15pm and 12.30am while I was asleep and the train was travelling between the stations Durgapur to Gomoh. The theft was detected after the train had left Gomoh Station. I had lodged a FIR with the TTE of the Coach Mr.R.T.Rawat (Deputy C.T.I) immediately and subsequently when the train reached Mughalsarai in the morning another FIR was lodged by me with the Govt.Rly.Police Station situated on Platform No.2 (FIR No.84/09 dated 17/09/2009).
The Railways claim to provide security to the passengers travelling with them and to this extent they have deployed mobile security personnel in the trains. Over and above this, AC coaches are manned by senior TTEs as well as a host of attendants and cleaning staff. In spite of all these efforts of the Railways and in the presence of so many maintenance personned in the coach I fail to understand how the theft, as described above, can take place.
Will the Railways compensate me for my loss.

    Dear Sir,

    I am registered member of e- Ticket booking service through IRCTC. I have booked ticket of my son Dhaval B Patel for train No 9018 dt. 20/08/09 traveling from Vadodara to Borivali . He is studying 12 th std. in Thakur College of Science & Commerce Kandivali(E). He was come to home at Vadodara because of Swine flue problem during last week.
    He is boarded at Vadodara as per schedule time. He shows e- ticket & ID of Thakur College, ID of Local trains pass, ID of Best bus pass during checking of ticket & relevant document ask by TC (His name may pramod sharma). But he was intending for Voter ID or PAN ID for which my son is not eligible as he has no right for voting till & having no source of income till day. Unfortunately TC made lot of harassment & misbehaves to my son & demand money for settlement as there is no fault of my son. On refusal of same he has handed over my son to railway police. And police at long been kept him in very stress contion and found that there is no possibility of getting any money from him as he is only normal student he relieve him Only on sympathy base police has left him after passing of surat station.
    In short my son face tension & painful situation through out his journey only due to such corrupt employee of railwayharsh employee of Indian railway

    Now the issues that need to be addressed by Indian Railways (or any other concerned govt. departments) are –

    1) What ID proof is required by student less than 18 year age?
    2) What action to be taken for such harsh behavior with innocent passenger?

    We are hoping your kind action & satisfactory reply for better experience with railway in future

    Dear Sir,

    I was travelling along with my wife on 28th August 09 from Vijayawada to New Delhi by kerala express train No. 2625. In the morning I noticed that my wife hand bag was stolen. After that we understood that at least 5 to 6 ladies lost ther hand bags and one person lost his suite case. We made complaint with duty TC as we are unable to lodge complaint personally at the railway police station. The hand bag might have been stolen in between Bhopal and Itarsi also it might have been stolen in between 2 to 2.30 A.M on 28th August 09. The hand bag contains the cell phone also, which no is[protected]. After 28th the mobile was switched off. But for last two days i.e from 31.0809 to 01.09.09 the bell was going on and the person who lifts the mobile saying that his name is Usman and he is calling from BandaGhat area from Kanpur. He also saying that this mobile was with him for last six months. So, my humble request to railway police is that enquire the case with co-ordination of BSNL to catch the thief as he has not switched off the mobile and using the same. If this complaint is noticed by any concerned official, kindly do the needful and take necessary action.

    as per railway notice the 333 umb/asr passanger is not in work after juc station.we are more than 40-50 daily passangers and many other ticket passangers to reach there homes.we travell daily from kartarpur to various stations this is the only train which stopp there.we several times request the local asm at juc station for a minute halt of 2715(nanded-asr)or 2459(ndls-asr) at kartarpur but all in vain.particularly MR.shingaara ram &ved parkash both behave with us as we travell free.They make fool o[censored]s by pretending to make fake call to fzr division for a halt. Recently we request mr.ved parkash to do this needfull for us . He hold the reciver of the phone within a second he refuses us saying that fzr control is not giving the halt permission after we approched the DD room there we make same request and from there we got the halt permission of 2715.

    so sir we humbelly request you to look in the matter and make a permanent stop of 2715(NANDED-ASR EXP) for a month till 333 not started
    Hello,

    I have travelled from Arsikere to Bangalore on 2nd November by Shimoga Bangalore express. Train was very crowded so i checked vacant in sleeper and AC finally i got in AC coach. When I asked with TC how much fare he told 300 I dint have any option and paid Rs. 300 and entered in AC 2 tier coach I got seat and arranging to sleep and he came again and asked me to go to 3 tier AC coach. I coud'nt ask why but I was feeling fooled by him and I ding get any ticket for additional fare.

    KIndly reply to my ID if I paid correct amount and why I dint get ticket for that. If they will dont give ticket loss for both customer and Railway dept.

    Hope dept will take action on this and insted of charging fine for customer who will dont buy platform ticket and he will get 250/- fine U can fine on your employee who will cheat passengers.

    I am Pahari Sengupta(alis Sadhan Sengupta, Age-62+) residing at 68/91, Jessore Road, Amarpally, South Dum Dum Municipality Ward No-22, Kolkata-700074.
    I am known to my locality as an active Trinamul Congress worker, I also got every respect from my party leaders and workers of my locality.
    I carry all the effects due to win & defeat of the party.

    Very unfortunate, which I have experienced today[protected], in Howrah station.
    I hired a maruti van noWB24K/2750 and went to Howrah Station and took entry by the car drive way New Station at 20:05 Hrs. I along with my son, Wife and Lisa Chakraborty, for the purpose to board my son Sidhartha Sengupta on the Samarsata Express Train No 2152, 3A/B1/54,
    I have purchased one car ticket @Rs100/- and also purchased two platform tickets as adviced by the Ticket counter man,

    After leaving the schedule Train of my son we reached the exit gate at21:35 Hrs, the ticket collector
    accompained with police personels accused us for shortfall of one platform ticket
    and charged a penalty of Rs 269/and scared us to retained for 10 minuits, I have no such cash money atthe time I have given Rs 100/ only, the Ticket collector took the money and refused to give any receipt and allow us to exit he also retained the car ticket along with the two platform tickets.

    Apart from this I have also witnessed that
    1.the railway attendents in AC compertments are selling errotic drink bottels,
    2.Ticket chekers are use to smoke taking cigerets from passengers.
    3.In Sleeper class it is hard to use toilets and moove due to unauthorised occupiance (giving money to the T.T)with the help of Ticket collectors.
    I shall not spare more times to told the unhealthy happinings which are frequently staged in the train car and stations.
    Every body can see these happinigs at any time.

      I had booked a ticket from varanasi to new delhi under TATKAL quota with PNR No-[protected]. I could not reached to my birth at Varanasi as I was struck in traffic and hardly manage to board on the train. When at Allahabad, I boarded on S-5, Berth No-23 which was my booked berth. I found that my seat is alloted to Mr Tanvir. Pnr No-[protected] who was having a Waiting List -59. Since Allahabad is the only big station after Varanasi with stoppage of more than 10 min, It was ridiculous. I contacted the current STE on duty and asked for justice. She (Mrs Priya Singh IC No-139) told that nothing can be done in this matter. It was not the single case of the day. Two more cases were reprted to STE in the same coach. I also have the written statement of the STE on the subject.
      To all the desparity, I had a sleepless and very uncomfortable journey from Varanasi to New delhi. I wish that the TTE who was on duty from Varanasi to Allahabad at coach S-5, should be brought under books. and suitable compesation to be given to me at the earliest. The Action taken in this matter may be intimated to me at my email .

      If its only 10 minutes and very next station, alloting the seat to a WL 59 passenger is an unfair practice.

        To whom soever incharge,

        I blocked my postpaid services for SIM No.[protected] due to loss of the same on 20/05/2009 and the following month, the bill showed around Rs.300/- only. I received my duplicate SIM for the same No. and used only on 6/7/2009. The opening balance bill showed around Rs.900 + . Kindly send me the details of calls made from this SIM no.[protected] between 20/05/2009 to 20/07/2009 to verify the misuse of SIM and to check the bill balance.

          Respected Sir,
          On 14th August, 2009 we were travelling by train number 2443 Bhubaneshwar-New Delhi Rajdhani express in AC 2 tier coach number A2 berth 35 and 37.
          The particular train did not have water in the toilet, no lights in one of the toilets, toilet flush wasnt working, toilet fans were not working, rain water from the side windows was seeping into the compartment making the entire floor full of water.
          Side lower passengers in seat number 41 and 45 got completely wet due to this rain water. All these things brought to the attention of the running train ticket superintendent. The light and the fan was set right. The other problems were not attended to. To my utter surprise when one of the aggrieved passengers wanted the complaint book from the ticket superintendent, it was refused.Such coaches should not be allowed to ply as a part of a prestigious name like Rajdhani Express connecting the two capitals.Please take remedial action and appropriate action against the ticket superintendent.
          Yes, I fully agree with you. Many times I also faced similar or other sorts of problems while traveling in trains. Why the Rajdhani only should fetch the special attention, all trains should be provided the facilities for which Railways is charging, in its fare. But sense of responsibility and training to employees is lacking. Above all corruption at all levels is also eating up the resources, leaving behind the passengers to suffer. You see, if some work can be got done for Rs 10/ on personal affairs, the same work costs Rs 25/ if it is done for the Government and the quality is also poorer. So don't expect much till this vote politics continues. Whatever is available accept it, don't complain and waste your valuable time because there is nobody to reply and you don't have the alternative.

            Respected Sir,
            I used to travel from subzi mandi railway station to narela railway station via train 2nkm which comes on 8:20 am @ subzi mandi railway station. I am with my mom, sister in law n two nephews on 16th Aug. 2009. I am with them in the ladies compartment due to my mom n sister in law was not well. After sometime, Mr. Ram Kanwar Kanddu comes and asked me to change the compartment. I only used to say that "i am here with family" ... after listened that he used to beat me n used abusing language with my mom. I changed that on next station but what a cop did with me n my mom that's something irritating. I just wanna request you to plz learn cops abt a little bit humanity as they are not prohibits the same for unsocial persons. Why for us ..

            Northern Indian Railway — Ticket Windows at Bathinda

            Dear Sir/Mam.

            Buying a ticket from Ticket Windows available at Railway Station Bathinda is difficult espcially between 0600 hrs to 0700 hrs in the morning. People are forced to travel without ticket as the ticket clerks are not able to clear the traffic from their windows. This is causing big loss to the Railway as well as to the individual. I have faced problems personally and facing till date. please look into the issue seriously . You may open more windows when it is office going time or coming back from office.

              Respected Sir/ Madam
              I am a resident of Shalimar Garden .I used to travel by train by 1MNR (Rewari - Meerut Daily Passenger Train) . But unfortunately this train is always coming late .Before this train there is one Shakurbasti -Aligarh Daily Passenger EMU which goes in sharp time at 5: 50 itself from New Delhi . And our train 1MNR arrives only late even though its timing is 6:10 from Newdelhi . Everyday we have checked on internet (always it shows only 1 minute / 2 minutes late )but the train will come only after about one hour or more . We are facing a lot of problems because of this . Working women have to do a lot of work after reaching home too .
              Therefore you are requested to sort out this problem at the earliest either by changing the timing of Shakurbasti Aligarh to 6:10 or put an alternative reliable train between 6:15 and 6:30 . Because we cannot rely on 1MNR .

              Indian Rail — TRAIN LATE

              Dear Sir,

              Sorry to say that we are facing too much problem for SAKURBASTI – PALWAL those
              are SHIVAJI BRIDGE schedule at 19.55pm. But every day above train come in minimum 20 min. late, if ask any Railway responsible person they are not given proper information and also have no announcement.

              In this situation please help us because at present public too much puzzled.

              So, please take action also we are waiting for your helpful and suitable reply.

              I would like to pay your kind attention towards the matter that i am a daily passenger of sonipet -Delhi route.sir, i catch my train from sonipet.The accepted arrival of the passenger train(2 NPM) is 6:08 AM but it always comes late by 20 Minutes.Many times the complaint has been loged againts the trains Driver but all in vain.No body is there to listen people Problems, so i request you to please look in to this metter and take quick actions.I shall be very thankfull to you for this.

              1.The Train arrival at 8.40( toiwards Beach) in saidapet which comes at 8.50 it happens usually. kindly make it correct.

              2.Not only this train all the trains are coming late by 5min which helps the passenger to run from their destination to their office.

              3.On Peak hours ladies can have one full compartment which helps the p regent ladies to go easier.

The daily schedule of the train should be observed for a period of say one month. 1MNR is the only daily passenger train along with Saharanpur Shuttle that runs so late. Unfortunately both are for the same route. Necessary action in this regard shall be highly appreciated.

              I am simple living person, timing is more important for me.My office(garhbeta) is 176 km from my home. Every week I go to my home by Rupshree bangla express, timing of this train is garhbeta 6 pm and in howrah 9.25. but this train has some weak point that is in howrah always this train arrive after 10.pm. I have patients in my home.I always be late to reach my home due to rupshree bangla train.This train call superfast train but no sign of faster has been shown.I am very disappointed by howrah railway ministery.So help me to come out from daily late timing of arrival.

Every week I go to my home by Rupshree bangla express, timing of this train is in chandra kona at 6.10 pm and in howrah 9.25. but this train has some weak point that is in howrah always this train arrive after 10.pm. .I always be late to reach my home due to rupshree bangla train.This train call superfast train but no sign of faster has been shown.I am very disappointed by howrah railway ministery.So help me to come out from daily late timing of arrival in howrah.
              Hi,
              I am regularly traveling from Bangalore to Chennai by Lal Bagh express.. My concern is regarding unreserved passengers traveling in reserved coaches. Most of the times I find it difficult in getting inside the coach and people would be standing in the entrance and at wash rooms. So life becomes very uncomfortable even after reserving our ticket with extra money. Most of the people just take unreserved ticket and travel with ease. Even Train Ticket examiner will not do anything about this?.

But unfortunately this train is always coming late one & more hrs late Everyday we have checked on internet (always it shows only 1 minute / 2 minutes late ) but the train will come only after about one hour or more . We are facing a lot of problems because of this & late time to reach at jobs

NDS, DM AND 1MNR is the only daily passenger train along with Saharanpur Shuttle that runs so late. Unfortunately both are for the same route. Necessary action in this regard shall be highly appreciated, from last one month i am observing that both three trains nds, dm and 1mnr are late on the outer of old ghaziabad and sahibabad, trains are waiting for the signal on the outer of old ghaziabad and sahibabad, and trains are so much late approximately 45 minutes to 1:30 hours .please do some so that we can reach on our duty on the time in the morning and can reach home in the evening

But unfortunately these trains is always coming late .I am observing that either train late because of single line before meerut and either be late on the outer of Old Ghaziabad and Sahibabad due to signal and this is permanent problem for the trains only of saharanpur - meerut - delhi route so that, We are facing a lot of problems because of this . Working women have to do a lot of work after reaching home too .
              Therefore you are requested to sort out this problem at the earliest Because we cannot rely on 1MNR .

              I am a resident of Kolkata.I used to travel by train by +HWH NDLS EXPRES (Train No-12323) . But unfortunately these trains is always coming late .I am observing that either train late because from Kanpur Passing all others Train, Station master says track are not available, when available train is going through. This is permanent problem for this train, We are facing a lot of problems, This train call super fast train but no sign of faster has been shown .I have also reserved other connectives Train From New Delhi (like Train No-12445 +UTTAR S KRANTI), When this train(12323) reach station, but unfortunately these trains left Station. Many of people complain these. I want to know why every timewe are facing this problem.Track are not avail then please train time change or reach time ex-tension, then we are programming other.

              Therefore you are requested to sort out this problem at the earliest.

                I am a retailer businessman who deals with musical instruments in Nagaland. For the last two years I've been sending my goods by Private Courrier, but its expensive. So on hearing Indian Railway Frieght system I start dealing with Indian Railway system! those of you who know how India Railway Sytem function. Its Cheap! so its unsafe! Not to talk of goods sending by train, even travelling by train is a horrific experience. well my complaint is about locating my consignment. I don't mind Slow Indian Railway System, what I really mind is how they treat North Eastern people. Beyond Assam, (Maligaon) presently Guwahati, there is no way you can trace your goods. either its there in godown or lost! People from Nagaland got no way to talk directly to Guwahati, it need to go through Lumdin and from Lumdin to Maligaon. so by the time it reaches Guwahati, all your complaint is gone... well lost! mY consignment H 607085, dated 3/08/09 is no where to be found. and another consignment H 586842, dated 1/08/09, came in half, the other half only god knows. Last time is got stuck up in Guwahati, Assam, for more than two weeks! only after Railway Ministry intervention my goods were returned to me. Probably those who are in Frieght section wants some extra money, you know how people works in India, worst in Airport and Train station... money!!! so if there is any one reading this and got a way for me to figure out please help me. I don't have hope on this Consumer Complaint Forum also cos Indian Railway Sysytem is Horrible.

                  I am a daily passenger of railway from Palwal to Okhla. Today (10.08.09)morning at 7.34 am I stand in que for my pass and one ticket from Palwal to N.Delhi for my cussain Brother at 7.54 I reach at window no 3 through que where a youngman was sitting who refuse me rudely for ticket. due to which I and my cussain miss the train. I reach late to my office for which I punished my half day leave and my cussain miss his interview.May I know who is responsible for this. Plz do some needful.

                  NOTE : This is not first time. Staff present there is not speedy.Their speed on computer is very slow due to which public face problems

                  This is to inform u that myself to be sandip mishra i saw a several time miss behaviour of railway staff with physicallyhandicapped people mostly RPF stuff of the railway as my self to be also physicallyhandicapped it is generally seen that in state of bihar and west bengal that the RPF stuff general enter in the compartment of physicallyhandicapped and ask to leave the sit and move to the general compartment or sit in the floor and if any of the physicallyhandicapped patient refused to do so then they will slaped them and also using the slung languages it seen that the pepole those are travelling in physicallyhandicapped are general from the poor family it also seen that some of the people who are daily travel in particular rout general enter un the compartment it also seen that some people use handicpped campartment to carry the vegetable or goog quantity of luggage as there in NO checking done by TTE in this campartment and if the RPF jawan enter in this compartment then they simple take the money from this people and allow them to carry there luggage my ticket number is[protected] date of journey is 03/07/2009
                  this is my request to you that please see to that RPF STUFF and also the railway stuff those who use to travel daily.                     Dear Sir / Madam,

                    A Squad was checking for the tickets and they invalidated my Driving Licencse saying it was not a valid one, this is a duplicate(though it was original) and a fine of Rs 600/- is collected saying that 250 was the fine and 350 was the ticket price my actual ticket price was 286/- when i asked him why the ticket price is written as 350 the person started saying some non sense that from this calculation has to be done from this station to this station and again this station to this station, but he didnt give an clear explanation.

                      I was travelling in Bhagalpur - Ranchi express on the date 8th July 2009. My travelling details are :----
                      Train no- 8604
                      Boggy no B-1
                      Berth No - 60
                      My purse was theft in the train. Infront of my sit AC Operator(P K Bhagat) and attendent (Ramnagina Ram) Were seated. I complained them and to TTE Mr Rao also. After 2 Hrs A C attendent returned my purse.(I saw him putting the bag on the upper berth).But he was saying "I have got this here now ". My Mobile phone and cash(1500 Rs) was missing from the bag.
                      They are the culprit I know. But I was helpless.
                      I have lodged a FIR at railway Police.
                      But havn't got any response yet.

                        3142 Teesta Torsha was 6 hour late at New Farakka on 18/07/09. My booking was from New Farakka to Bandel in 2nd AC (PNR[protected]. I cancelled the journey and approached on-duty ASM/Gen Booking counter for full refund (it was 9.30pm and as usual only those staffs were on duty). I was told to claim refund next day across reservation counter.

                        But next day - only 50% refund given in spite of report of late running of train. On 21/07/09 - I meet the Station Master as well as Chief of Reservation Officer - but full refund not given.

                        Later I wrote to CCM(Refunds) - Eastern Railway with photocopy of the cancelled ticket and late running proof (DTDC Docket No. K35755341, dt 29/07/09) requesting me full refund. However, till date I have not received any reply from CCM office.

                          Dear, Sir/Ma'am,

                          The magnitude of this complaint may be very small but it will be helpful for you to cope up with it in the big case. The time is of around 14:45-15:00 hours. I bought a ticket from Jalgaon Railway Station and I was in line when a man standing behind me in the line suddenly went to the window and submitted his Reservation Form to the staff named Mr.Somvanshi. Later I realised that the man behind me had some contact with the railway employee and so his reservation was done before me.

                          When I reached the counter and had done with my transaction of Rs.372, I paid the railway staff Rs.500 and he demanded for Rs.2 change which I din't had so I handed him a Rs.5 note. He was supposed to pay me Rs.3 back but gave me only 2. I politely asked him that "Is there any miscalculation?", in reply he asked for my ticket and then said me to fetch Rs.2 if I wanted the ticket.

                          The whole scene was very funny and infuriating that the person sitting behind the counter for whole day and don't even have a single rupee.

                          Indian railway ticket — defective ticket issued refund denied

                          I am the student studing in Hyderabad booked a ticket vide PNR No[protected] for 28/12 2008 from madgaon to h.Nizamudin, I trried to get this ticket cancelled at Madgaon but they refused asthe ticket no printed on the ticket is 14460931 but the trped figure below it was 14460930 as i have to rush back to my native place and my refund is denied and advised to report to hyderabad but i will reach hrderabad on 12/1/09 by that if i will get refund kindly help

                          Indian Railways — Misbehaivour by persons at ticket windows

                          Dear sir
                          Today an hour ago i went to surat railways station to seeoff my wife she was leaving paschim express.
                          When i went to ticket window to buy myself a platform ticket i was asked by the person at window to give him loose change of rs 2 while i was having Rs 10 note. he said he wont give me ticket unless i give him change. when i again requested him that pls give me the ticket as i was getting late. he started talking rudely and abused me .
                          I want to raise a question of security in Indian trains as I suffered a big loss during my journey from Haridwar to Delhi( hazrat nizamuddin station) in Utkal express. Around 2-3 monthes back I was travelling on the same route alongwith my wife, we have 2 seats in reserved compartment and thier numbers were 1 and 4, The window of seat number 1 was adjecent to the gate of the compartment. When the train crossed Sahibabad it slowed down, one chain snacher who was travelling on the gate, took his hand inside the compartment and snached my wife's gold chain, as the train was slow he got down from the running train. He did it so fast that we didn't even get a chance to catch his hand, he got down from the running train by snaching the chain. As the train was running we could not do anything, other people tried to pull the chain but it was not working.
                          We complained to TTE about this but he responded as he didn't listen anything.
                          Other thing is that the railways department should reconsider the design of the window near gate and put some more horizontal iron bars in such windows, because I think it is the easiest task to snatch a chain from such windows from a running train.
                          And in the last I would like to warn people sitting on such seats to be most careful about their expensive goods like gold chains and mobiles etc.

                          Indian Railway — misbehaviour of ticketing staff

                              Respected Sir,
                              My mother Mrs. Indira Nair had booked ticket(ticket no. [protected], PNR no.[protected] for 03-08-09 for train no. 7229(TVM-HYDERABAD sabari express) in coach A1(2 tier AC) from Kollam JN to Salem JN which was a confirmed ticket. But there was no provision of two tier AC and so she travelled in 3 tier AC with the permission of the TTR. The TTR had given a "certificate for claiming refund of fare in lower class of AC" where he has mentioned every detail with his signature alongwith which he asked to show it at the reservation counter, salem, for the refundable money. The train reached SALEM JN at 7:20p.m. on 04-08-09. I went up to the reservation counter at 7:30 seeking for the refund with the travelled ticket and the refund form given by the TTR. Two railway employees(a lady and a gent) didnt pay heed to my problem and told me that the money cant be refunded as there is no proper evidence.I also requested the lady to give me a written letter saying the refund form is valid for the next day and so that i can again approach the authority but she refused.They were mocking at me and had a good laugh sitting inside their cabin. If this kind of irresponsible and humiliating behaviour is shown by the railway people then where are the poor passengers to go. Kindly help sir, take a serious action on the two employees.

                                Hello everyone,

                                My sister-in-law was travelling on 2nd August'09 in IIIrd AC to Ahmedabad by train No.9143-Lokshakti Express.Her ticket was from Borivali to Ahmedabad wherein she boarded from ANDHERI station and was fined by TTE for travelling Andheri to Borivali without ticket-Fine Amount-Rs250+150=RS.400

                                Now, you all people, pls note that the fare from Bandra to AHD, Andheri to AHD and Borivali to AHD is SAME- Rs. 523, then why did the TTE charged her inspite of showing her confirmed ticket from Borivali to Ahmedabad(AHD).

                                Pls enlighten my knowledge and tell me what action can be take against that TTE since I have that fine slip(pavti) of Rs.400.

                                Pls guide:
                                - Shall I file a complaint against the TTE at Andheri station ?
                                - Shall I approach RTI for clarifying the policies of boarding within the city limits ?
                                - Shall I question Indian Railways as why this fine when the fares are SAME ?

                                Pls help and mail me with your suggestion.I can't express how much mental trauma she went through as she was carrying only Rs.500 out of which Rs400 was given as fine that intelligent TTE

                                i board dadar express train from patiala to delhi with unreserved ticket purchase from counter. i sat in sleeper coach due to overcrowding in 2nd class.i asked a tte madam to upgrade my ticket from 2nd class to sleeper class as seats are vacant.but she fine me 330 rupees.and also 100 rupees as bribe.is this a genuine fare...can i camplaint the tte madam

                                  BOOKED e-TKT. VIDE TRAIN. ID-[protected] & PNR - [protected]; COACH - S4.
                                  ===== WE BOARDED AT NGP & OCCUPIED ALLOTTED BERTHS, VIZ:41 TO 46.
                                  WELL AT WARANGAL, ONE PASSENGER BOARDED 'S4' WITH e-TKT CLAIMING BERTH NO: 44 AGAIN ?? AS CHECKED, THE TKT. WAS SHOWING ALOTTMENT ALSO!!
                                  THIS IS SYSTEM FAILURE.

                                  2} RETURN JOURNEY :FROM VIJAYWADA TO NAGPUR BY 2861, ON 1/8/09;
                                  PNR NO:[protected].
                                  ==== THE TRAIN WITH ARRIVAL TIME 21.20 HRS WAS NEITHER PUT ON DISPLAY ABOUT ITS ACTUAL PLATFORM NO.; NOR WAS ANNOUNCED TILL 9.15 PM ??? (DEP. TIME 9.30 PM)
                                  WHEREAS WE WERE WAITING ON P.F. NO.7, WHERE IT WAS TOLD COMES NORMALLY.

                                  ON ENQUIRY THE Dy. SS WAS ALSO NOT AWARE AROUND 9 PM !!, AND IRONICALLY, ANNOUNCEMENT BY LADY ANNOUNCER AT 21.15, CONFIRMS SHE WAS BUSY PACKING OFF HER SHIFT WELL AHEAD OF SCHEDULE OR INVOLVED IN GOSSIPING AS USUAL PRACTICE .
                                  ULTIMATELY WE HAPPENED TO BOARD THE TRAIN WITH MANY HURDLES ( Half rack train standing at the far end of No 5 P.F.arrived and started in time )WHICH CAN BE UNDERSTOOD, NEEDLESS TO MENTION. ( What will happen with many passengers with their luggage or on a small station with very small halting time).
                                  ** THAT'S WHY WE ARE TERMING THIS AS A MAJOR DEVIATION OR SYSTEM SHORTCOMING WHICH CAN'T BE REBUFFED BY RAILWAYS .**
                                  With respect to 2nd grievance regarding announcement not done in advance for any trains, U.O. Memo to be issued to all the concerned including the SS and Announcer on duty.
                                  They should understand and realize that Passengers (Sr, Children) also travel, and above all they have tofollow and abide QMS which they claim under Citizen's charter.
                                  shame on the part of all such irresponsible Employees working under the Union Blanket shadow.

                                  Why such attitude inspite of regular wage structures/ pay scales for which they vie, are being successfully given at regular intervals ? only repentenace based upon every consciousness is the solution from which they can't escape, right.

                                    I am a senior citizen and bought a tatkal ticket on 24-07-09 to travel on 25-07-09 along with my wife in Train No.2806 vide PNR[protected] in Ac.Chair Car C2 seat numbers 6 and 7. Cockroaches were freely moving across the passengers, waterpipe in the westernmodel W/C broken and water was not flushing into the pot, and the doorcloser to the AC Chair Car Coach was not functioning. Some passengers were smoking at the door of the coach smoke was coming insdie the compartment. The conductor came and I asked for the complaint book but he said that the complaint book was with the guard. When I pointed out these to him he expressed his inability. Throughout the journey from Secunderabad to Visakhapatnam we experienced lot of inconvenience despite having bought a ticket by paying Rs.300/- extra for Tatkal for sitting in the AC Chair car.
                                    Railways should make available the complaint book in each coach and it should be handed over for registering the lapses on demand and a note to the affect that complaint book is available should be displayed in each bay of the coach. I request for a suitable compensation to me for this inconvenince caused to me by the railways. My phone number [protected].

                                    I am quite angry with the reduculus behaviour of driver of Palnadu Express at the station Satnat nagar of Hyderabad on[protected] at 2.40pm.We had reserved for D5-65 seat but the train was stopped reduculosly out of the plotform.D4and D5 which are the reserved compartments which are out of platforms.How can the old people can get into the train where it just stops for a minite.Even the people of the station shows us the wrong direction for D5.Even the aged person(70) was fallen down while going to the seat D5-65.
                                    THis should not be reapeated.You have to give the preference to reserved people of the train.The station duty officers must be aware of the stops of various compartemnts.Other wise arrage various sign boards so that so confusion will arise.

                                    I request the SCR to take some measures for the above said complaint.

                                    SCR railways — Maintenance

                                    Couple of days my parents travelled by Hussain Sagar Express from Hyd - Mumbai, we generally travel by AC 2 Tier. In the past we had seen cockroaches in the train, but this time it crossed the limit. We were given cabin sort of 2 seats at the corner of the bogie, so many cockroaches were present, and at night they we moving all over the body, it was a bad experience. So, I request railways officals to look in it and please try to make a clear journey for all o[censored]s...

                                    Its really reduculus to see that in Secunderabad station where Parking for two wheelers they have raised the amount directly from Rs.16 for 24 hrs to Rs.41 for 24hrs hrs Becasue I commute with my two wheeler every fortnight, so that i will be keeping my vehicle for 2-3days I cannot go for monthely rental fo Rs.400/-, how they can increase above 100% fee if they are going to increase like 15% to 20% that is some what we can understand that is reasonable, but suddenlyraise of above 100% price no body can agree this. This tender they have given to Nav Bharath enterprises. How you can do like this to the citizens of inida.

                                    Please look into this matter seriously this states there is lot of corruption in Railways or some body is relative of railway who are misusing the things.

                                    So, I request SCR to take necessary steps to reduce the charges.
                                    People here in Bangarpet junction of kolar dist, Karnataka, are very much angry with the railways vehicle stand contracts...we have to pay 20 rupees for parking our two wheelers in bangarpet...its tough for students or daily wage employers...they have to pay 20 rs daily...respected authority people please kindly cancel their contract and hire some govt official to look after these situations in various cities
                                    Its really unbelievable to see that in Secunderabad station where Parking for two wheelers they have raised the amount directly from Rs.16 for 24 hrs to Rs.41 for 24hrs hrs.sir yesterday when ihave kept the vehicle for 36 hrs they have collected 62 rs which is very high and ididnt get my coupen to take my bike and they have put me afine of of additional 50 rs after showing my documents . sir we want only one thing on what rules and regulations they are doing this we need the proof that south central railway has directed to do this either in case of fine or enhanced rates .public have the right to know this information .

                                    my father and mothers are senior citizens. they traveled from secunderabad to kadiri train no.12732 dated 09/03/2011 coach s11, seat nos. 33 and 36. unfortunately they did not carry the id proof as senior citizens. but TC came and taken bribe of Rs200 with senior citizens. even they informed to TC we will submit at kadiri because this is new train we came earlier hyderabad before the train introduce. we are indians we respect senior citizens. But the behaviour of TC with senior citizens is very rash i request you to pay back the money to senior citizens mr. s. harinath babu and s. laxmidevamma their contact no.[protected]

                                    the platform, yesterday night we face lot of problem, big snake is neat platform, a lot of passangers are traveling
                                    in night train above 9 pm, pl seriously lokk into the matter, and clean all the plant & trees, and provide light

                                      I have suffered many a times in Phagwara, Punjab Railway Reservation counters where they do not return balance - small change like 1 or 2 Rupee even sometimes it goes upto 7 Rupee. If you want it then you have to ask for three four times. It happens with everyone and it becomes their duty to return the change and if they dont have they should ask for it to the customer but straight way they go for the next customer without giving the balance. I think they are paid for their services and not they should collect small money from us.

                                      I want strict action to be taken against it as not only in this area, even in many of the shops things are being charged more than the retail price mentioned on it. Cold drinks are the main focus which is being charged more everywhere in Punjab and the reason being said is that they take the cooling charge.

                                      I don't know why this type of corruption is here in Punjab as my born and brought up is from Kolkata and I never found this type of happenning over there.

                                      I just wanted the matter to be focussed so that corrective measures could be taken.
