I had travelled in ' Garib Rath ' (train no:2201)on 23-06-09
from calicut to quilon.
I had no reservation.so i took a GENERAL TICKET of Rs: 82 (ticket no.[protected]and got into the reservation compartment of AC chair carThere, as the ticket examiner's suggestion, i took reservation from Calicut to Quilon(compartment J1, seat no: 68).
He charged me Rs:275 (reciept no: E 857897)where the actual charge is 265 and also he didn't exclude my GENERAL TICKET chare of Rs: 82 from the total charge.
Thus i happened to pay Rs: 357 instead of 265.

I was travelling on 24.9.2011 by 13465 Howrah Malda Intercity Express (PNR [protected]) with VRM in my mobile as per information in IRCTC site (Reference : Railway Board Letter No.2008/TG-I/10/P/SMS dated 20.07.2011 ). When I produced the VRM alongwith my PAN card to TTE Mr. S. Roy, he reacted for showing mobile phone and demanded Rs. 50 for not having E ticket print out. I had tried to show the screenshot of IRCTC screen displaying "appeal to Passengers for not taking print out and carrying VRM' but he denied to see and said that talk to IRCTC for the circular, not him as this is not in railway rule and what he was saying is final. He warnd me to detrain and hand over to police if I argue further. To get rid of further harrasment, I had to pay Rs. 50 as demanded (Receipt no. 003294)
It is surprising that there is so vast lack of communication and coordination between railways and IRCTC and passengers are becoming victim even after having valid ticket and being environment friendly or there is hidden pact to increase income of railway by cheating passengers in this way.
I urge to find the root of this communication gap and demand apology from the defaulter alongwith refund of Rs. 50 charged by unauthorised means.

    This is how India Railway cheating Public…
    See the below screens from IRCTC Official website.

    Travel from Chennai to Eluru
    Tatkal Quota opened from last 2 days yester day it was available 178 now it is 176. Only 2 tickets are sold under Tatkal from last 2 days. But there is no change in waiting list.


    We really don’t know how many tickets are supposed to sell under Tatkal Quota.
    Normal Ticket Fare is Rs. 219/-
    Tatkal Quota Ticket is Rs. 369 /-(150 extra)

    The main Intention of Takal quota is deviated from emergency cases to railways money making.
    Available quota is 176 means Approx 3 bogies (72 per each). This is really cheating railway consumer. Apart from this MP quota, Railway Employee Quota etc.,
    How a common man can avail the benefits reservation.

      My father n uncle were travelling from Lucknow to chandigarh by Lko Cgd express last night in 3ac compartment.
      They slept around 12 at night . But in morning when they woke up they found there luggage missing which includes important things n expensive gadgets. They complained to TT N the CRPF gaurads in the train. But they responded very casually to their report.
      In such a good class compartant security leak is a matter of shame for ur department .
      They were not attended properly by the staff at all.

      We need a full compensation for luggage lost or find it back.
      I will further b going to RTC FOR THIS.
      How could a get compensation in a matter like this one?

        Dear sir,
        The above detail ticket travelling with id proof of state government issued through revenue deparment and having Bank pass book with photo identy being ladies travelling there will not be any pass post or driving license third is she is not an employ then even though they know this id is actual ticket collectors are taking the advantage and collecting the fine of about 600 six hundred rupees in this regards what can we do I would like to give a complient against this issue please cooperate and advice me futher./

          Sir,

          I undertook journey by 9224 Jammu-Ahmedabad Exp from Pathankot to Bikaner. the reservation ticket worth Rs 194(PNR NO[protected] issued to me has wrongly reflected my age as 67 instead of 37, which was noticed by me just 2 hrs before departure. i brought it to the notice of Reservation office Chakki Bank as i was about to board train from this station, they redirected me to Reservation Office Pathankot. there they advised me to buy an additional general ticket and request onboard TTE to make a fresh reservation ticket. Accordingly i bought a general ticket K52781423 worth Rs 131. The TTE on Board did not agree and he imposed surplus and fine and issued a ticket no 542167 and took another Rs 340 from me. i had everything matching on my ticket except my age .i proved my identity by showing my Air Force ID Card. Inspite of this he imposed fine.
          Eventhough the mistake was committed by reservation clerk and staff of Indian Railway. it was me who was made to pay for their sin. request suitable action may be taken against them and my money may be returned.

          Indian Railways — harassment made to me by Indian Railways

          We had booked our journey ticket from Vizianagram to Howrah on 10.06.2008. Boarding at Vizianagram, PNR no[protected], date of journey 12.07.2008, train no 2864, Yeshwantpur-Howrah Exp. In the month of June the train was getting diverted from vijaywada station due to rain. Indian railway has assured that everything would be normal by 1st of July and later it was extended upto 10th of july. therefore we were assured that we would be able to catch the train as per schedule. after 10th of July we started enquiring about the whereabout of that particular train but at the same time different station enquiry was giving different information regarding the train. Even we were informed that the train would be going to go its normal rout from 11th. But on 12th i.e. the journey date we came to know from Vizag enquiry that the train would not be coming to that very station. We have no choice but to go to nearby Koraput station and cancel the train ticket. But when we went to Koraput station, even at that time also in computer it was fed that the train is running in its normal rout! We forced them to make call at various stations from control room and after several information they got assurance that the train is already diverted. But after that also they were unable to refund us the full money, which should be as per rule of Indian Railway because online computer was showning normal route and no diversion of the train. We not only harased by Railway because of lack of proper information but also suffered from monetory loss.
          IF THE BIGGEST INDUSTRY OF INDIAN GOVT. WILL SHOW THIS TYPE OF NEGLIGENCE AND HARASS NORMAL PEOPLE THEN SOMEONE TELL ME WHO WILL RELY INDIAN RAILWAY!
          my special request to mamta banerjee for opening a duranto train {non stop train}, from banglore to kolkata {howrah} because here is only 1 daily train from bangalore to howrah and so much persons are in bangalore so please open a non stop train from bangalore to howrah and open 1 daily train from bangalore to howrah the bengali people are getting so much problem in getting the reservation as well as ticket
          i was having a pass from g.t.b. nagar to Mankurd..., But i did`nt lie at mankurd, and i was cought from the ticket chekers at vashi .he charged me.256/-rs...

          but to the other fellow he took the less money and let them go with out any reciept or wht...

            Recently I had experienced a very strange thing, which proves that there are some loopholes in the Indian Railways Reservation System or the process of allotment of berths is not so transparant. I had booked 4 tickets in III AC by Pushpak Express from Lucknow to Mumbai, Journey date 19/06/09 in May 09. The status at time of booking was WL and which gradually moved to RAC 5/6/7/8 on 19th June 09 morning but suddenly after chart preparation it went back to Waitlist Status 2/3/4/5.

            I had never seen such downgrading of tickets in computerised environment. I tried to get clarifications from Railway Authorities but all in vain. Even they had not replied to my email. Yes since it was an e-ticket they sailently refunded by amount after mandatory deductions.

            Can anyone tell me how it can happen

              MY NAME TABREZ SAYED ON[protected] MY TICKET WAS BOOKED FROM SURAT TO MUMBAI CENTRAL IN 0904A NZM RAJ BCT SPL TRAIN WAS TO ARRIVED AT 00.40 hrs BUT IT COME ON 05.00 hrs WAS LATE FOR 5 HOURS. AT SURAT STATION I TOLD TO STATION MASTER PLEASE ARRANGE MY TICKET TO SOME ANOTHER TRAIN & CANCEL MY RAJDHANI TICKET MY WHOLE FAMILY WITH CHILDREN ARE SITTING ON THE PLATFORM BUT HE TALK RUDELY ITS NOT MY DUTY U DONT COME AGAIN & AGAIN TO ASK WHEN THE TRAIN WILL COME THEY DONT COPRATE WITH US & BEHAVE LIKE THAT.               I have just latest experience with indian rail, it's today's incident my family is coming from bilaspur in wainganga exp.(2252) and they supposed to reached here at 1:30PM, so I took 1 day off from my work, but this train got late like anything, now when I am writing this till then it's 9 hours late already, and I am sure delay will be more...So my question is that can we have do something against this...I mean some law should be there ...like if train delay like this and people waiting and they took leave, booked cab then obviously they are loosing money as well as mantel torched ... or we can't do that just sit and wait wait wait...

                I am a regular passenger of Eastern Railway Sealdah Division. I go from Khardah to Ballygunge everyday by local train for last 16 years . Today[protected] at 4.45 pm at Sealdah South section as I was coming from Ballygunge a TTE named Ujjwal Halder wanted to see my ticket, and I showed my monthly ticket. But unfortunately it was expired yesterday[protected] . I apologized him by saying sorry, as I did not follow it, let me give a chance to issue a new one. He wanted 100 Rs. from me. That time he behaved with me rudely . As I did not agree to give him any moneyI am a regular passenger of eastern railway Sealdah Division for last 16 years. I used to go f without any money-receipt, he insulted me and harassed me badly. Then I told him that I will certainly give you the fine amount but without any receipt I shall not give you any money. The behavior of Railway TTE was very painful and rude. Even I showed him my two months old monthly ticket, he created a scene and insulted my dignity.
                May I know that, is there any necessity to behave so rudely with a genuine passenger? Please answer me.

                  dear sir/madam,

                  i would like to bring to ur notice that in esteemed metro like mumbai v have lokmanya tilak terminus from majority all north, east trains departs from mumbai. very surprising the protector of railways i.e. RPF, RAILWAY POLICE they harass the passengers of general coaches and takes bribe for capturing seat. it is a routine business of them, many complaint have been made to the stationmaster, railway officers but no solution or help provided till date. infact the food stall, coolie, ticket collector all r aware and supports each other and harrass the passenger and takes bribes if any body denies they beat like animals.

                  request u to pls take action and help the citizens from whom all govt.employee get there salaries and have forgotten that they r public servant.

                  it is requested to inform you that i am a defence perssonal. When i am going gwlior to delhi with luggage (weight 30 k.g). I asked to carry the luggage to platform no 1 to platform no. 4, then he said to me, i will take Rs. 100.
                  Is that fare? & then he argue with me. I asked about ur coolie badge no. He said 300 in gwalior with angry.
                  so plz take action & fixed weight luggage price.

                    I was taken A Railway Ticket for 4 Adults in Sleaper Class for the Jurney of Kota Jn. to Dwarka Train No. 5636 of Journey Date[protected]. But while start of journey the train was late more than 12 hours.

                    I have to cancell the ticket because the stay time in the Dwarka is 0ne and Half day only. The return ticket Cancellation detail PNR No[protected] Dated[protected] adults 4 ticket No 23176013 from Dwarka to Kota jn.

                    The return ticket is on date[protected] from train No 5635. Now I cancell the ticket from Dakiniya Railway Station Ticket Window. The cacellation charges of the journey ticket is Rs. 579- has been cut and window refund only Rs.577/- out of ticket value Rs. 1156-

                    Kindly look into the matter and arrange to refund the proper amount of the Cencellation ticket No. 23176012 & PNR No.[protected] was cancelled as the Train No. 5636 was also late more than 12 hours on[protected] where the arrival time is 07:35 am of the sleeper class.

                      PNR [protected], II AC, TNo 2622, 14.06.2009, New Delhi to Vijayawada, Name of Passenger Krishna VVM, male, 50. It was seen on the PNR inquiry in the Indian railways website that the passenger got the seat confirmed as A-43 and coach no 6 from engine.

                      Later when passenger reached station, the main chart on the train and with the TTE did not have an entry. Instead of this passenger another passenger's name appeared (Mr Garg) in the same berth

                      How is it possible that once released (at about 18.30 hrs on the 14 Jun, 2009 on website) got cancelled???

                        Its surprising and ironic that an organisation such as the Indian Railways does not have a forum where the general public can register their complaints/grievances. I would like to bring notice the continuation of the third side berth on some of the trains including the Garib Raths. The decision to introduce the third side berth is illogical and foolish. However, the Railways realised this before it was too late and has ordered the removal of the same. The railways also claimed that the reservation software has been changed back to the previous state and no booking for the third berth would be done. However, yesterday when I wanted to book tickets for myself and my mother on Train No. 2257 Kochuveli Garib Rath, I was given Berth Nos. 76 (Side Lower) for myself and 77 (Side Middle) for my mother. When I brought this to the notice of the booking clerk, she said there were no other berths available other than these. How does the railways expect a senior citizen like my mother to squeeze into the middle berth? How has the booking software booked these berths if the software has been brought back to the previous state. Is this a case of apathy towards South Indians?

                          dear sir..
                          we were 15 persons traveling from ambala to jammu in hemkund express on 26 june. we buy 16 tickets in tatkal & pay approx 6000 rs. for that.. where as the amount for 2nd class tickets (15 tickets) is only approx. 2600 only.
                          we pay so much amount for the seats but we can get only 7 seats & rest of the members of our family could not get the seat through out the whole journey...
                          when we buy the ticket we were promissed that all the seats will be confirm till the date of our journey by the railway department.
                          Is this is the way to earn money from passengers..
                          sir we get a lot of pain during our journey please look in to the matter...

                          Sub: Complaint against corrupt TTE.

                          Dear Sir,
                          My son K.Vikram, 20 yrs was travelling from Jhansi JN(JHS) to Yesvantpur JN(YPR) on 10.01.2010 vide his confirmed Ticket (transaction ID: [protected].) The details are:

                          PNR No. [protected]
                          Train No. 2650 / KTK SMPRK K EXP
                          Booking status: Confirm/S2/0060/LB
                          Class: SL
                          Quota : Tatkal.
                          Date of Journey: 10- Jan-2010
                          Date of Boarding: 10-Jan-2010.

                          The concerned TTE ( name- unknown ) did not allow him to sit in his confirmed seat from Bhopal upto Nagpur for about 6 hrs, as the corrupt TTE allotted the seat to a RAC ticket holder by misusing his official power. At Nagpur, the RAC ticket holder gets down there. Thereafter, my son was allowed to take his reserved seat from Nagpur only.

                          Request to take appropriate action against such corrupt and insincere Official (the particular TTE ) to prevent from such unfair activities in future.

                                my name is mantha nanavati and i have irctc account in railway for booking online tickets and i want to complained that i booked one ticket of Rs 1, 211/- and after that i cancelled it and so you had deducted of Rs. 969/- or nearer amount of Rs. 1, 000/- and only refund of Rs. 222/- so regarding any technical mistake or else, i want to correct of my refund money and my prn no was PNR[protected] so please do need ful and give me correct refund. and also i previously mailed you on 25th june but no answer from your side so what can i do for that? i had mailed two times but still no reply. so please do need ful

                                Online Ticket Reservation — Cancellation Refund

                                Hi,
                                I booked and cancelled around 16 tickets online last month(1/8/2009)
                                The Cancellation guidelines read , the amount refund will happen within one month to the same credit card amount.
                                It's more than a month now , I haven't received my refund amount.
                                The Online Reservation doesn't have contact number/mail id to enquire.

                                Is there any contact number/person whom I can escalate this issue?

                                The day of depature wen i checked only one was confirmed and 2 pass tickets were waitlisted dropped ,dereafter approached the TTE and got 1 ticket confirmed and he told me that will issue a LCC(Lower Class Certificate) for refunds . and later on he issued the LCC no 0451860 and he told after 12 hrs of the train arrival you can collect the refund but the people from reservations were making me roam around asif the were punishing me .on 5th-06-2011 i was been to the annanagar reservation counter they refused me and told to go and get the id proff of the passenger later went and got the documents they required but still they again sent me saying that this can be done only @ Egmore .again went to Egmore all the way in the sun .there without any courtesy these people again told tomorrow you go to central after standing in the que for 2 hrs wth 50 ppl .again on 06th -06-2011went to Central reservation standing que for an hr they told to go and meet the reservation supervisor .dere he right royally told this cannot be done her you need to go to ACM office this is not the right place so i request you to look into it and take the action required

                                I tried to book a ticket on 28-01-12 for my mother(Smt.Kamla Rani, age-62 years) from kalka to shimla for Shivalik Delux through net.The amount of Rs.183 was deducted from my AXIS Bank debit card but did not receive any ticket.I thought that I will receive back money in my account but did not get it till now nor any message in this regard.please arrange to refund the money back at the earliest.

                                  railway me sare aam maa aur behno ka apmaan kiya jata hai..lafango ke dwara. jo iske against me aawaaz utha te hai unki jabardast pitaai bhi ho jati hai. in lafango ke darr se pure train ke kisi bhi boggy ka koi bhi insaan virodh nahi karta. jo bhi loacals daily travel karte hai unhone apni jabardast unity bana ke rakhi hai..parso hi jab mai patna se gaya "Ranchi-Hatia express" se jaa raha tha toh...MASAUDHI junction ke liye jane wale sare log mujhe ek numbr ke kamine nazar aaye..jis boggy me mai baitha tha...usme bhi kareeb 25- 30 log jabardasti reservation boggy me ghus gaye..mai bhi galat tha kyun ki mai bhi reservetion boggy me ghus gaya tha..par mai jis birth pe baitha tha woh khali tha...lekin baki sare lafange sabhi ko jabardasti dara-dhamka kar utha diya aur baith gaye. kya mahila aur kya bacchi aur kya jawaan aur kya buddhe log..inhone sabko utha diya. aisa lag raha tha ki inka aatank sab jaantey hain..isliye kisi ne aawaaz nahi uthayi. it was a really ridiculous situation inside. they were speaking in silly languages. sari MAA aur behne baithi thi aur wahin par woh log "madarchod" aur "behanchod" ya "lauda" jaise words apne talking me use kar rahe the.                                   kahan hai raiway me safety ki guarantee dene wale log? railway ki police garibo se unke baggage par 2 - 3 ruppayye lene ke liye hai? aur TTE without ticket walo ko pakad ke (sirf dehati moorkhon se) paisa kamane ke liye hoti hai.
                                  kyun nahi RPF ki team saade dress me boggy ke andar baith thi hai? kyun nahi inko pakad ke jabardast pitaai ki jati hai? kyun nahi koi aisa numbr public ko diya jaye ya usi train me sare boggies me chhote chhote poster laga diye jaye ..jis par help line number ho taki train ke sab se piche wali boggy me baithe RPF ke jawaan ko chalti train me bhi inform kiya ja sake ki kis boggy me kaise log hai? aur help maaanga jaye...aakhir chalti train me kaise inform kiya jaye ki kisi ke behan ki ijjaat looti ja rahi hai? railway ne ek bhi no. diya hai? aur agar hum inform bhi kare toh woh kaise help karenge

                                  i have missed my bag in west cost express. iwas travelling from my native ottapalam to mangalore in sleeper class on 8/3/10.till mangalore bag was with after that i slept and train reached mangalore station by 4:50 am and i wake up and bag was sotlen, there were no guards or plolice for help and i am sure that it was stolen just before five minutes. after 15 minutes i saw a police man and he told that there are no chance to return back the bag.later friends told me to complint to RPF bcose i lost my identity cards and all my bank loan records and if anybody get and miss used then i will be in trouble, so i went to GRPF office they told to go and check the train bathrooms again and i and my friend went and searched whole train and there are no clues. we reported the same to the officer and he told to give the details. i want a certificate that proving that my document has lost during transit.. i approched officer again and he told that there are no inspecter avilable to register complaint and he told that to come tommorow.

                                  there are some limits issues...means some station limits..before some kms it will come under kasargode and after that only it will come under mangalore station. if he file case it will go first to banglore ..if fact he is not at all ready too file a case and he is confusing me and my friend . we clear that it was stolen at mangalore central but GRPF peole making many reson to escape from FIR.


                                  i feel very bad about our railway security system..

                                    We are afraid for rail enquiry system all over the North Eastern part of our country INDIA. There is no responsible person who correct the system for reply regarding Trains arrivel/departure information over phone. Staffs of N.F.Railway (specially at GUWAHATI Rly. Stn.) are iresponsible, missbehave, absent from there seats/duties, never attend enq.phones. Severl times 139 no is also inform wrong information. we wants to know whether Railway Minister or Chairman of Railway board Will take action to relief public. hope your early reply.

                                    wrost train running in agartala silchar, no speed, no seat, no light, no food, no AC(non working AC), no tim ing, working people who travels in this train their life makes miserable, and wishing to god for not to travel in such train under any circumstenses, it is a service for the sake of adding the conection list, nothing more than that, PLS IMPROVE IT BY GIVING ATLEAST AN EXPRESS WITH RESERVATION FACILITY..

                                      I am travelling with my wife and children from New dDlhi to Trichur in the above mentioned train and date in coach no. A1 berth nos. 13, 14, 15 and 16. My complaint is thet the toilets are completely unhygeinic. the floor of the coach is so unclean. the adjacent 3 tier ac coach wherein the charges are still lesser the facilities are much better. that coach is even provided with electric plug points for people to charge their mobile phones and electronics items.

                                      My complaint is that Indian Railways have charged huge amount for these tickets from me (Rs.8512.00) and we have not been provoded a hygenic travelling.

                                      Railway — Bad Conditions of AC Coaches

                                      Today i travlled in train number 2460 from Jalandhar to New Delhi in AC Chair Car and this turns out a usual experience of miss management of AC coaches in India. Indian railway is a profit making national enterprise where a lot is being talked about the facilities and infrastruture but this is not good to see that at grassroot level the facilities are still pathetic and not upto the level (even if i take a simplest case of non functional chairs in chair car compartments). while travelling through chair cars people pay for comfort and facilities which they are not getting. indian railway should take notice and try to improve the existing infrastruture.

                                        I booked online Talkal Railway ticket from Ernakulam to Nizamuddin for the journey on 26th jun.I Booked ticket 5 days ago-on the first day of talkal reservation and the first minute. Then I got waiting list 29. I understood that it is very difficult to ger confirmed Talkal ticket becaue its a drama of private booking agent and indian railway. The genuine passengers wont get a confirmed ticket.

                                        I checked the railway website on 26th morning and found that chart is prepared and i am under waiting list 29. The website says the ticket will be automatically canceled and refund money online to the bank account. But after the train is started my status is confirmed and i am wondered... I dont know how to catch a train which left the station!!! So i lost my money...

                                        Its clear that it is the cheap play of railway. they allot the tickets to agents and making money.
