Dear sir/madam
i made a booking in air india online for a single journey from dubai to chennai on 21st feb 2011(journey date on 26th march 2011).I wanted to amend my travel date online but i couldnt.Air India asked me to do the amendments online by sending an email to www.ecommerce.in.no reply for my email till date.but i amended it and rescheduled it to 6th april 2011 in Chennai-Egmore office and later the booking was cancelled in egmore-chennai air india office.the reservation agent said he has cancelled only the booking and i can reschedule the ticket on a future date.but my journey is cancelled and i dont want to book it anymore.so i requested them to refund the ticket money to my credit card from which i booked the ticket.Air india said i have to send a request to www.ecommerce.in by email.but no reply from them till date.i have sent so many mails to [protected]@airindia.in as per Chennai egmore branch advice and till date no replies.I did ask the person on the phone if I can come to the chennai office and cancel the ticket and process the refund.The lady named Ms.Preethi said no need and she asked me to send the request by email to her email id and www.ecommerce.in.Till date no replies.So i went to Air India office-egmore,chennai to check on this.none of the officers know what to do.i would have met atleast 5 officers including the senior duty officer who cannot give the right information after spending 2hours with them.This is the quality of service in Air india.no body is bothered about the customer complaints and how can expect the citizens to use their carriers instead of private aircrafts where they have 24 hours customer support.Even with railways department,I have done so many bookings and cancellations online,but never faced any difficulties and their online booking is wonderful.The worst online service i have ever seen is air India and Air india staffs chennai-Egmore).Because staffs are not bothered about increasing the revenue for the government,not bothered about retaining the existing customers but they are proud to say that they are government servants.Shame on them.It happens only in India.
I am posting this complaint here because i am tired of fighting for my refund with Air India which is very lethargic in service.The most funny thing is they have displayed a wrong telephone number in the Air India website.And if you call the correct number also nobody will pick up the phone.This is more than enough to learn how air India serves the privileged citizens.Well I have furnished my ticket details here.Let me see what happens.

Dear Team, please advise/help on the below :

I've sent the below mail to Air India E-commerce team for the re-fund of one of my cancelled tickets I've been told that no refund is possible based on the below calculations given by them. My concern is why there is no single Rupee as Refund when only one leg domestic travel is used and the other International travel was cancelled. Un-used international coupon is just 3242/- and also is it exactly matching with the refund amount? does the below calculation mean that Delhi to Riyadh fare is just 3242 INR ?

    I highly regret to inform you I have not received any information in regarding to the below matter till today since 11/06/2011 from your end and the amount have not been credited to my account till today. Your customer care numbers are also no giving any response they ask to to contact the on[protected]the number is dead for last 8-9 days) and other number[protected]in this number no one is picking the line it is continuesly ringing)

    If you do not have any time to solve the problem then you have to close the organisation immediately.

    Please resolve the matter at the earliest and refund the amount which was wrongly deducted by you while booking the ticket along with the Interest of 24%

    I again booked the ticket in the same name & same flight and PNR was generated by the system and the Rs.8618/- was deducted from my account vide REFERNCE NO. BIL/[protected]/INDIADEAS.COM LTD/AIR shown in my Bank transcation and passanger had been traveled.

    More then 4 days have passed till dated the amount is not credited. Now i request you to please refund amount for which the PNR was not generated.

      my case is similar, with PNR HB7BT, cancelled ticket (IND-SIN), more than a month back, however, haven't received the refund amount.
      i emailed [protected]@airindia.in many times, but there is no response. The customer care is pathetic, they either don't answer the phone or is always engaged.

      Air India should no longer exist in airlines business.

        Dear Sir/Madam,

        I booked flight ticket from Delhi to Imphal in the month of April 2011 for Delhi (DEL) to Imphal (IMF) for Air India flight AI889 scheduled for depurture on 02 May 2011. But the flight was cancelled by the airlines due to their strike. Upon enquiry on 5/5/11 to their toll free number, I was informed that I would get the refund in two weeks. I also wrote an email to ecomerse as instructed. After 3 weeks, I was informed that it will take a month. Today after 43 days, enquired again. I was given the contact numbers[protected],5. both of which are not working not working. My email had not been replied nor acknowleged so far.

        Is this the normal way of functioning? How do I know the money will be refunded? Will the Airlines pay me interest charges? Can you suggest the next step for me?

        The IA flight (# IC 134 - Indore to Mumbai) was delayed indefinately on November 21st, 2008; I had a connecting flight of AI (#141 - Mumbai to New York). It was suggested by the team of IA that I do not wait for the flight and take any other availabe flight to Mumbai. It was promised that all the charges incurred for the same will be bourne by IA. The price of the alternate ticket was 8500, paid to Kingfisher Airlines for last minute purchase. If you need the proof for the purchase of the Kingfisher Airline ticket, please let me know.

        I inquired several times from the office. and they say its been done
        AND I HAVE NOT RECEIVED THE AMOUNT IN MY CREDIT CARD ACCOUNT (confirmed by my bank credit account till today 13/03/2012.,)

        So I request you to please check into the matter and resolve the matter and please credit the refund to my credit card account.

        Our Two ticket from Chennai to Delhi via Air India flight no. AI-043 was at 9 P.M. . We reached at the counter at 8.35 P.M. but no one was present at the counter for issuing boarding pass. When we contacted inside AI office they refused to issue boarding pass nore were ready to listen and suggest any thing. Then on contacting Air India ticket counter at airport, they refused to refund any money nore they were ready to adjust amount in their next flight. The cost of the two tickets was Rs.21400/- .

        We should get our refund may be after deduction of a reasonable amount.

          Refund & Strict action
          June 27 : The problem started the day there was some online issue with Air india express website when we were trying to reschedule the booking( of my brother – Amit Sharma ) because of personal emergency but were unable to do so due to website issue. Booking details given below

          Sector - del – Mumbai
          Travel date & Time – June 28th, 2010 & 9.30 am
          A day before I tried for hours all the customer service numbers of air india & Air india express. To my surprise that Air india staff does not have any knowledge of how air india express work. All of them keep giving me phone numbers only of one or the other office. Infact I have spoken to duty mangers of air india & Air india express but both of them denied helping. The situation was very harassing. Finally, I marked an email to customer care for immediate help.
          July 21 : After many exchange of emails & calls customer service figured out that the mistake was from there side & they will reschedule as per details sent by me.
          August 5 : I went to the Air India office for rescheduling. They refused to reschedule

          Mumbai - Delhi 29th or 30 Oct reason - stating sector can not be changed of rescheduling.
          Del Mumbai 8th Nov Reason - refused stating validity is till 30th Oct.

          Ticket is waste for me in case not rescheduled on above mentioned dates.

          Solution we are looking for

          1.Refund of entire money or reschuling of ticket as per below details without any extra charge.
          Mumbai - Delhi 29th or 30 Oct or
          Del Mumbai 8th Nov

          2.Airlines should pay penalty ( Rs 5000 )for harassing & not helping us on time.

          I have all communication from airlines in written to show as facts if required.

          Looking forward for solution of this.

            Sir,
            I had booked AI flight no. 9808 from jabalpur to delhi through cleartrip.com. As my final destination was chandigarh, acd the above flight was scheduled to reach delhi at 14:55, i booked Go- Air flight no G8-144 scheduled to depart at 17:40 hrs(Trip ID [protected]). My flight to delhi was delayed by 3 hrs and reached delhi at 18:45 hrs and I could not catch the next flight so I got it cancelled.I went to New delhi through metro(Rs. 80/), then ISBT and took volvo bus (fare Rs 475)for chandigarh. As per cleartrip terms and conditions, Rs. 1050 have been deducted from my refund amount. I request you to ask Air India to pay me this amount(Rs. 80+475+1050=Rs.1605/) as i was harrassed by the delay in flight. Also, upto 15:00 hr, the AI call center was giving the status of the flight as "on time" while jabalpur airport no. of Air India were no reply. When i insisted on lodging a complaint, the staff at jabalpur airport refused to take any complaint and asked me to lodge it online.

            I have requested Air India compensate me suitably for the inconvenience caused to me through online complaint on airindia.in and the reference number given to me is [protected] .

              very bad experience..avoid this airline
              My mom 63 years old travel by her self from Atlanta via Newark to Ahmedabad. She checked in @ Atlanta she dont have any Problem with her Carry on Luggage than she has to stopby Newark they charge her $123.00 For her 16lbs CARRY ON Bag They make her to checked in that carry on bag So that DAMM wheel chair service person dont have to ride her with that Bag.My mom gave Wheel chair operater $5.00 TIP, instead of appericiating She threw $5.00 back to my mom and said I cannot even buy Coffee from this Money Looks like GUEST has to Provide AIR INDIAN EMPLOYES COFFEE and LUNCH..WORST Management . Please dont send your MOM and DAD by themself, they dont LOOSE any chance to HARRASE older People .I recommend not to FLY with Air India Airlines...

                sir,i had booked a ticket in indian airlines for srinagar delhi & delhi bagdogra 0f 30/04/2011& 31/04/2011.but at last moment i had to cancell the ticket due to strike & i booked ticket in kingfissher & jet airways.i was informed by delhi toll free no. that ltc-80 rate for srinagar was Rs 6408/-on 30/04/2011.& delhi bagdogra was Rs 10360/-.but when i return back to srinagar on 02/06/2011,i asked the city office to give me the rate of ltc 80 for the jeorney then now they have given the rate is 6508/- for srinagar delhi & for delhi bagdogra is Rs 7580/-.
                kidly give me correct rate of the route.also intimate me the ltc 80 rate of bagdogra delhi & delhi sringar.so that i can summit the claim.i do not know why indian airlines is not putting the latest rate on the site to avoid such problem.thanking u in anticipation.

                        Air India/Indian Airlines — NO RESPONSE TO A QUERY

                        1. I HAD TRAVELLED FROM AIR INDIAN FLIGHT AI - ON 17 JULY FROM IMPHAL TO DELHI , ON A ORDINARY TICKET WHICH I BOOKED ONLINE ON 16 JULY
                        2. DUE TO REQURIREMENTS OF MY ORGANISATION I REQURE THE PRICE OF LTC-80 TICKET FOR CLAIMING THAT AMOUNT.
                        3. AT DELHI AIRPORT ON 17 JULY I ASKED FOR THE PRICE, BUT THEY SAID IT WAS NOT AVAIL, SO I SUBMITTED A WRITEN APPLICATION THERE ASKIN FOR THE PRICE , GIVING ALL REQUIRED DETAILS.IT WAS DIRECTED TO DELHI OFFICE.
                        4 I HAD GIVEN MY EMAIL ID ALSO , BUT TILL TODAY NO REPLY HAS COME.
                        5 I HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO CLAIM MY AMOUNT BECAUSE OF THIS
                        6 . IT IS REQUESTED TO GET THE DETAILS FROM AIR INDIA AT THE EARLIEST.

                          I booked six tickets in AI-467 for June 16, 2011 (Delhi to Kochi) amounting to Rs. 41010, from online ticket booking system of Air India. However, during the booking my account with ICICI bank has been debited by Rs. 41035 (Rs 41010 for ticket and Rs. 25/- for service provider) but ticket could not be generated. Now i am continuously trying to follow up with Air India but no body is helping me out.

                          Kindly suggest me what to do. All the numbers provided by Air India in its web site are of no use.Either they are continuously busy or no giving proper response.

                                I have bokked e-ticket in air india through ICICI bank online banking (bil/[protected]/Siva che/Airindia_mici1 on 27/04/2011) for travel from chennai to singapore on 08th may'2011 (ai358)and return on 23rd may'2011 (ai347) through their website (www.Airindia.In) on 27th apr'2011 and due to name mistake the ticket was cancelled on 30th apr'2011 by sending request mail to [protected]@airindia.In as well as via customer care representative ([protected]) and conformed the same with them later but conformation of cancellation via mail or any sort of message was not sent from the air india people.

                                However, till date the airline is not granted the refund. I have written so many mails to airline ([protected]@airindia.In and yatrik.[protected]@airindia.In), but neither they are replying to the mail nor responding if I speek to the customer care ([protected], [protected], [protected], [protected]).

                                air india ltd — non receipt of cheque book

                                my savings account nbr is 404071 [protected]. i had applied for a new cheque book a monht ago, after i exhausted all my cheques of my old cheque book. upon instructions from your bank official, i had mentioned that my cheque book to be delivered at my residential address. but till date i had not received my new cheque book. please expedite to issue a new cheque book delivered at my residence.

                                for your information, HDFC bank ltd takes three working days to deliver a cheque book to the customers' address. how long your bank takes?

                                Air India Limited — missing baggage

                                Dearsir, This is Mr. Shaik Mahaboob Basha, bearing Indian passport No.E 6935253. I missed my checked in baggage containing things worth Rs.30,000. when i was travelling from Delhi to Vijayawada by Air India flight No AI 544 on 25th Jan.2013.Now Iam totally held up all my programmes due to baggage missing and i have already lodged a complaint at the destination airport-Vijayawada.My travel details are......

                                  I have made booking from Bangalore to Kolkata for 2nd May but due to the Pilot strike the flight was cancelled.

                                  I have waited for a long time to get the refund and also called customer care many times but i have not received it till today.

                                  Also i am very much displeased with the customer care service.

                                  Could you look into it to get full refund of the ticket. Tickets details are mentioned below:

                                  I had booked a flight from London to Delhi. They didn't inform me that its cancelled. On their website it showed that my flight will leave on time.
                                  And just before few hours I called up makemytrip to confirm my ticket they said that the flight is been cancelled. I am waiting for my refund. I had paid by internet banking. They said I will get the refund in a week. But I doubt their concise.

                                    i have book a ticket from air india, ahmedabad to dubai with one stop at mumbai,,,,,,,,,, my emigration is in bombay,,,,,,,,,,, in the immigration cleareance is not done bue to ECNR stamp not in my passport, so i have to come back, at mumbai airport i conform with the office of air india about the refund of my airfair,,, they inform me k i have to contect my booking agency and told them to apply for the refund,, after some day they inform me that air india refuse to refund due to reason i traved ahmedabad to bombay by flight and that airfair charge is 11,000/- and my total airfair is 9800/- so how they refund my airfair,,,,
                                    my main point is that airlines have to check all imigration process before issuing ticket,,, its duty of them,,,if they check my passport and inform me that my passport dont have ECNR STAMP so i cant travel even ahmedabad to mumbai,, but they cant check it properlyyyy,,,,,,,now they refuse to refund my airfair,,,,,,,
                                    once they cancle my ticket then they issue new ticket,,
                                    while issuing new ticket my connecting flight cancled
                                    they managa to new flight for meee and issuing bording i have a scan copy of that bording,,,
                                    immigration officer inform me that its duty of airindia to issuing bording pass they have to check passport and visa copy then why they issue a new boriding,,,
                                    if airindia follow their duty proper then i cant suffer to come back bombay to ahmedabd
                                    i am sending u my scan copy of ticket and issued bording pass

                                    Dear Sir,
                                    I booked an Air India Ticket for my son (Rahul Varshney) for three sectors under LTC-80 scheme (as detailed below) at Air India Reservation counter, Ranchi (Jharkhand) on 29.02.2012. However, on 06.03.2012 I cancelled ticket for one sector (Delhi - Ranchi). At that time, I was told that the refund will be given only after completion of remaining journey booked on the same ticket. On 18.04.2012, when I contacted at Reservation counter - Ranchi, some more formality was made and I was told that within a week or 10 days the refund will be credited back to the same Credit Card which was used for the booking. Till date even after passing so much time, I am still waiting to receive the refund. Kindly look into the matter and arrange to get the refund at the earliest, so that I can settle my LTC claim with my office.

                                      I travelled from NeyYork (JFK) to Bangalore via New Delhi on 20th May 2011 with Air India flights details below:
                                      New York to New Delhi - AI 102
                                      New Delhi to Bangalore- AI 504
                                      I had checked two pieces of baggages at JFK to received at Bangalore. I did not receive any of my checked in baggage at Bangalore and complained to Bangalore airport baggage care authorities. I was told that I would get my baagege in 1-2 days. But till now I have not received any information about where abouts of my luggage.

                                        Dear Sir,

                                        On the night of 12th May'2011, I happened to travel by Air India Flight AI 802 fromn Chennai to Delhi. On board, along with meals, I got a scratch card to win prozes. When I did scratch it, I was happy to know that I had won a watch worth Rs 4000 as the AVA Company claimed thew MRP around Rs 4000/-. However, they did not gave it absolutely free. I was charged a sum of Rs 599/- as handling charges. As they claimed the watch was of Rs 4000, I agreed to pay that money and got the watch from AVA shop located at Arrival Hall at Terminal 3 of IGI.

                                        My happiness was short lived. I wore that watch only for a day and its sheen started eroding. On searching the net, I got to know that :
                                        1. The watch was a counterfeit (the name itself contain an extra L which is next to impossible to judge for an unsuspecting eye.
                                        2. The value of watch, s claimed by many people and with the quality it actually turned out, is not more than 200 Rs.

                                        So, in nut shell, AVA and Air India CHEATED me by a MISLEADING MODUS OPERANDI OF SELLING COUNTERFEIT WATCH AT A SUM OF 599 AND PRETENDING TO GIVE IT AS A WINNING. Such MALPRACTICE must be stopped and the perpetrator of this FRAUD, should be punished.
