Air india ticket refund not done since dec2010

On 26th Dec 2010, we had booked a ticket from Delh to Kolkata on flight AI 680. The payment was processed however the booking was not confirmed (PNR No: RFIZSN)

Following which we contacted the call centre where initially the PNR was provided as JGTRN (screenshot in trailing mail) and status as waiting list. It was confirmed to us that the amount will be refunded in full and we need to rebook.

So we rebooked annother ticket on the same flight for the same passenger which got confirmed (PNR No: RPSRCS)

Air indai has no clue of the refund status of the first ticket PNR No RFIZSN
still awaiting response and action inspite of repeated reminders.

        Screenshot attached for your perusal

I am a frequent flier in UAE-Kochi sector, normally from Abu Dhabi. On 23rd February 2011, I had booked in Dubai-Kochi Air India Express flight IX 434. When reached at Dubai airport I was informed that the flight was cancelled and would be able to fly only on next day’s same flight. The reason for the cancellation of the flight was not at all convincing. Many passengers like me where stranded at the airport. No alternate arrangement was made. I told to the officer on duty that I was coming from Abu Dhabi and had no place to go back in Dubai, he had expressed that he could not help. A choice was given to me to go on the same day’s flight up to Kozhikode. When I requested to arrange a conveyance from Kozhikode to Kochi, the officer on duty at airport flatly refused. I had no choice but to accept the Kozhikode flight IX 344.
After reaching Kozhikode, I could understand that there were two flights from Kozhikode to Kochi. I had requested the staff in Air India office to arrange a seat in one of those flights. But the junior staff at the office told that she could not help as the officer on duty was at the apron for attending the aircraft. Though there was enough time to arrange, she checked with somewhere and informed me that she could not help. At the end I had to arrange my own conveyance from Kozhikode to Kochi and reached home.
If you conduct a survey, you will realise that in general people are not happy to fly in Air India, due to the uncertainty of the timings and general behaviour of the staff. Why I accepted Air India was due to the convenience in the flight timing and little less in fare.
There are many other flights in the same sector with better service and surety to reach home in time. Instead of attracting more customers, with such uncertainty and misbehaviours of the staff, Air India will be further plunging in to loss, irrespective of the any effort to bring up. Surely my choice of carrier will be changed from Air India.

My check in baggage, a large size VIP bag costing about Rs 7000 was badly damaged beyond repairs during my Air India flight from Delhi to Dehradun on June 9th, 2011. I reporeted the matter to the Air India station manager and the complaint was received by him and forwarded to Delhi Office on the same day. I have also sent a reminder about 15 days back but there is no response from the Airline. Can anything be done or can anybody tell me whome to call for the compensation?

                Address: Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh

                1. I travelled from Hyderabad to Coimbatore on 15 Jan 2011 by Air India flight IC 1547 boarding pass no[protected]C1.
                2. While checking in the luggage at the counter I told the person that my bag contained wine four bottles & he should put the FRAGILE tag on the bag. The same was done and a baggage tag bearing No - [protected], A/7119587/ SEQ NO 44 was put on it.
                3. After about an hour or so an announcement was made that I should report to the departure gate, I did so & on reaching there I was told that I had to go to the Luggage section as there was some problem.
                4. From there they took me to the Luggage section where I was informed that there was a leakage in my bag, on opening my bag I found that a bottle of wine had broken out of the four bottles and the entire stuff like T- Shirts, Shoes, Shirts Jeans, Hanker chefs etc were stained in the bag & the bag was full of small pieces of glass.
                5. I cleaned my bag & asked the staff, that how could it happen when a FRAGILE tag put on the baggage... but they did'nt have any answer to my query. On asking as to where I could lodge a complaint I was told that I could'nt lodge a complaint at Hyderabad & I should do it at Coimbatore airport. They started to avoid me on asking the reason of breakage, I asked a manager type of person to the problem & he told me that someone will come & inform me in the aircraft about the problem & I should board the aircraft immediately as it was about to depart.
                6. NO one came in the air craft to inform me. On reaching Coimbatore I spoke with the staff about lodging a complaint, they told me that there was no use as there would be no action on it, as the airlines was not responsible for the breakage of bottles with or without FRAGILE tags.
                7. On reaching home I lodged a complaint in the Air India's inter net site of which there has been no response till date.
                8. I am very disappointed with the behaviour of the staff at both Hyderabad & Coimbatore airports. I want the compensation for the breakage and the subsequent damage to the stuff in the bag due to leakage caused by the wine.
                9. Hoping for a positive response, my email address is [protected]@gmail.com and my contact No is [protected].

                  Sir,

I have been in constant followup with the airlines regards my missing luggage on mail and also thru phone.

I have been very very disappointed by the manner in which my complain has been handled.

                  So far.

1/ there has not been a written revert to my mails. Youc an see trail mails below
2/ have only got an officer to speak to twice - once telling me they were trying to trace and the other that the server was down and I would rec a revert which of course has not happened!

Today I was told by staff who are clearly not too bothered and who have no concept of customer service

1/ it is the shanghai handling agents problem as your baggage did not have a ticket
2/ it is the problem of the delhi airport authorities as there is a mess in delhi
3/ the airlines has taken a complain down which is the most that could be done in the situation

For me....I have handed the baggage to the airlines

1/ who were careless enough not to give me a baggage ticket inspite of my asking at the time of aircraft boarding and assured me that all would be in order
2/ who never informed earlier that there would be a change of aircraft in delhi which has resulted in my baggage being misplaced.

PLEASE REVERT ON HOW THE AIRLINES WILL COMPENSATE.
In case of non revertal latest by tmrw, I will be initiating legal proceedings

                  Marietta

                  Dear Sir,

When I called the offices of AI on 5th jan, was told that the servers were down and there would be a revert once systems are back up.

Hoping that your systems are back up now and I will receive a revert.

                  Dear Sir,

Received a call on 29th Dec from an airline official soon after my earlier mail informing me that they were STILL IN THE PROCESS OF TRACING THE LUGGAGE.

We arrived in India on 19th Dec....and even as of 10 days ( as of the 29th Dec ) and today the airlines is in the process of "TRACING".

Even then, the AI continues to stress on its very redundant 21 day policy of wait..... DOES THE CHANCE OF FINDING THE BAGGAGE INCREASE WITH TIME ???
The longer the time taken in the "TRACING" process the lower the probability of " FINDING" the baggage!

Please can I have a revert on the situation that is correct and honest

                  regards

                  Marietta

                  Dear Sir,

Once again, although I have sent reminders and continue to call the offices of AI , I get no repsonse.

There are NO officers to answer telephone nos[protected]/ 8/ 9 ....WHY ARE THESE NUMBERS GIVEN TO ME ???

WHY DOES AI CHANGE AIRCRAFTS IN DELHI WHEN THEY CANNOT MANAGE THE LOGISTICS OF GETTING PASSENGERS AND THEIR LUGGAGE
                  TO DESTINATION WITHOUT HASSLE???

Like I have mentioned previously I will go legal if a reply is not received by me.

                  Please revert.

Travelled on the Shanghai - Delhi - Mumbai AI349 flight of 19th Dec .

A handluggage which was a dark navy Samsonite case was taken from me before I entered the aircraft and put into the luggage hold.

This luggage has been misplaced by the airlines and have called numerous times but to no avail. My complain file no is BOMAI85410

There were a lot of passengers on the AI349 shanghai - mumbai sector who have lost luggage thanks to poor service at the Delhi airport.

Could I please have a reply from AI on the status - would appreciate a reply as it is already 5 days!

Also they have very bad service on the Delhi air port. it's took them three hours to issue a baording pass to us from Dlehi to chicago. flight was delayed by 6.00 hours.

I traveled Newark, NJ, USA (EWR) to New Delhi, India (DEL) via Frankfurt on April 19.

Flight was a substandard flight with no amenities, even trash was not emptied.. headphones were already opened and used, probably they did not replace it form last flight. Flight delayed by an hour, seem not unreasonable. My breaking point was to wait for check in bags and there being not arrived for about 12-15 passengers and AI staff did not have courtesy to even explain it to us, what went wrong.

Some ground staff at the airport was very courteous and helpful, especially at the info centre and needs recommendation as he even helped in filling the complicated form. The custom inspector was cordial and there was no problem at that time but I have heard horror stories when people went back to collect bags.

I really doubt if the Delhi baggage claim service will be reasonable or customer friendly.

I am hoping for the best and preparing for the worst.
I travelled by AI 864 on 09.06.2009 from JEDDAH to HYDERABAD. After arrival at Hyderabad i found that my checked in baggage one piece has not arrived. I lodged a complaint with the baggage handling desk at the airport and received a copy of it. I was told that my baggage will be delivered to my home address with in two days. The baggage has not been deliverd till 23.06.2009 . I tried to call every day betwwen there working hours, to my surprise the phone is always busy. I could get connection only twice during this period and the reply is that they are still trying to trace my baggage. I do not know how long Air India will take to trace my baggage and unable to give any definite time.

Can any one help me in this matter by giving their valuable advice.
To whom I have to write a complaint?
Can i go for any legal action?
How long i should wait to go for legal action?
I had travel insurance covering my trip. Can i claim from the insurance for the delay/missing baggage?
                      Dear Sir,
This is to bring to your notice that it has been 13 days and I have still not received my baggage.
I took AI flight number AI131 from Mumbai airport on Oct 10, 2009 at 0135 hours (boarding time) Seat Number – 41K (Mumbai to London). At check-in time no tag was put on the bag on insistence they assured that required information is captured in the system and bag will reach at destination safely.
But on arrival at London Heathrow airport (Terminal 3) my worst fear came true. I didn't find my bag. A complain was lodged with Airport officials, following reference number AHL LHRI 10555 was provided.
This bag contained various essential household items, all my clothes and most importantly medicines. I had to purchase various essential items and i have still not been able to get medicines for my severe acidity.
I have suffered tremendously on financial, mental and physical front due to gross baggage mismanagement by AI. I hereby humbly request AI authorities and ministry of aviation to look into this and get my baggage retrieved at earliest. I also sincerely request concerned authorities to look into this at a broader level and stream line baggage management so that no one else goes thru similar suffering.

                      Your Sincerely
                      Dilip Shrikhande

carry bag — air india missed my bag

                      Hi,
My name is mohd tariq anwar,
i have cheak in my bag in delhi airport and i got my bording pass.
and when i came down in jaipur ariport and i was looking my bag but dint founded when i ask airport people where is my bag then they cheaked and said by mistakly we have forget ur bag in delhi only.
than they said u will get ur bag at ur nearest airport we will dileverd that bag in 1 or 2 day then u can collect ur bag but today 4th day i m still not got my bag and when i call them they said it's already dileverd at ur nearest airport..what do i do now i have complint paper also with me.
I was also there in the same flight and missed my both check-in baggages, just wanted to know if there is any Money claim policy of AirIndia for missing baggage's!!! because I can't wait till the most irresponsible/lethargic Airline staff of the world to find them.

                      Please Advise.
Friends, it was in news that AirIndia staff has not come for work on 31/12/2010, insted they were partying and buzzing in pubs. Because of which the filght AI127 that needs to fly on 31/12/2010 from Delhi to Chicago was delayed and again the next days 1/1/2011 filght AI127 was delayed for 10hrs and all the passangers were stranded at Delhi airport for 10hrs.

Hights of these AirIndia staff is that when they miss placed the Checked-in baggage for around 50 passangers, and still couldn't find any information on recovering them.

People please donot forget to claim insurance for all the Loss/Delay Checked in baggages so that these AirIndia guys are taught a leasson...these guys have proved today that they are Indian Gov employees and they can make the common men suffer to any extent without even being questioned by Concern authorities for there irresponsibility.

                      Dear Sir/ Mam,

I have really disappointed by the Air India Baggage services. I travelled from Minneapolis to Mumbai through Newark (EWR) on 1st Dec 2012. Its 11th of Dec and I have not received one of my bag. I received one by courrier on 4th of Dec. When I enquired about the other bag which is missing I am ONLY getting the response that we don't have any information on it. Till now the AI was putting the entire blame on United Airlines which I boarded from MN to EWR. But when I spoke to UA they said that both the bags were handed to AI at Newark.I am trying to call up Newark but noone picks up. I am really tensed because of all this. Please help me..

I recently heard that there is a scam in AI where people(employees) hook off with the passenger bags as it lands at various airports especially at delhi and mumbai and AI (in case it pays the consumer) has to pay the money. it it worthless of even being a low cost carrier. Otherwise how can one explain the number of missing baggages through AI. It obviously can't dissipate in this air unless one is carrying gaseous item. Shame on the so-called national carrier of India.
                      Hi,

I fly from air india on 5th of May 2013 from Kolkata to JFK via Delhi(AI 101). When I come at the jfk airport on 6th ofMay 2013, I saw that one of my bag is missing and after talking with the lost and found department I found out that my missing bag was not boarded at delhi. So the officer told me that my bag will be coming on the next flight tomorrow and they will directly send the bag to my home. He gave me the reference number for my missing bag (JFKAI13121 ). Now on 8th of may I received my bag but the bag was fully damaged, somebody has cut the bag from the side and even stolen the things from the bag which costs around 7000 to 8000 INR.

I am trying to call at the number[protected]but nobody is picking up the phone at the number. Can you tell me who is responsible for the whole things and whom should I contact for the claim.

                      Thanks,
                      Raj Tayal

I have booked a ticket with Air India on 13th October 2010 from Hyderabad to Kolkata departure on 17th December 2010, departure at 8:05 hrs and arrival to kolkata at 10:00 hrs. on 16th december i got a call from mumbai Air India office saying my flight is rescheduled and now departure time is 8:40 hrs and its a connecting flight from Hyderabad - Chennai - Kolkata. i was going to kolkata for my personal work and i was supposed to be there at 11 am. with this rescheduling of flight i would reach kolkata at 13:20 Hrs. and my return flight was at 15:00 Hrs that means i should report to airport by 14:00 hrs. even if i would go to kolkata on this rescheduled flight i will just have to reach kolkata airport and till the time i check out from airport, my check in time for return flight was close. with this rescheduling i have to cancel my return tickets also.

with this rescheduling of Air India flights i could not go to Kolkata and my work is incomplete. however i requested Air India officials to cancel my tickets and refund my whole amount.
they say my tickets are cancelled and the amount will reflect into my account within one week. (i hope so)
the same thing happened when i was returning India from paris. this is the second time i booked my flight with Air India and the second time i am facing problems with Air India
I am very much disappointed with the services of Air India and from now onwards Air India will be my last option.

My bag was not offloaded in Delhi after Air India IXCDEL 1520 flight from Chandigarh to Delhi on 12 December 2010. I filed complaint 1C214930 with the baggage claim office at 1800 on 12 Dec 2010 when the bag was not offloaded. Since we were flying to Sydney and would be traveling around Ausralia for 21/2 weeks we requested the bag be sent to our home address of 68 Issaquah Dock, Sausalito, CA, 94965 USA.

As of today, after multiple queries, we have no idea where our bag is located. Please provide whatever assistance you can.

I travelled from London-Delhi-Kolkata through AI 112. when arrived in Kolkata on 4th dec'2010 I found one bag with case Id CCUAI 15888 is not found. I registered a case for it but even after 15 days no update is available its causing a considerable problem to me as the bag has important documents, camera and Laptop in it and am not able to join the office without the stuff. The London AI has confirmed several times that the baggage was loaded at same I travelled but people are Delhi are just not responding raising the doubt that after knowing the fact of the baggage it might have been given to wrong hands to get profit out of it .
Air India is so very Irresponiblr that they just don’t want to take any ownership of any baggage and they confessed that even the baggage are not scanned with their TAG no. At Delhi airport. This is really SHAMEFUL for Air India Management and the Aviation Ministry as its supposed to be the National Carrier.
the case ID is CCUAI15888 .
I request you to kindly look into and resolve ASAP kindly update the same.

                              Address: Chandigarh

                              Sir,

It was an unfortunate moment when I decided to go for an AI flight AI 111 from Kolkata to Delhi on 28th Nov 2010. I booked my ticket from Air India site after logging in to my account and printed the ticket after opening the page of “successful bookings”. The tickets for myself along with my wife and one year old son is attached for your reference.
As soon as we reached the check-in counter at Kolkata international airport, the person sitting in the counter after observing the ticket for ten minutes told me that your ticket stands cancelled. It was a shocking information for me who was travelling along with a one year old kid with a meeting lined up in Delhi office and an onward journey planned to Chandigarh – where my wife is a posted in PGI as a doctor. Even after enquiring for n number of times he could not give me a convincing reply about the cancellation. To my utter dismay the gentleman charged me that why you don’t book your tickets through an agent. By then I was quite convinced that it was no use talking to this half informed gentleman whose behavior was far from helping. I asked him to take me to some senior.
He took me to two gentlemen in the office just behind the counter; even they were not having any answer to my query. The only help they offered me was to book a new ticket at that moment. To avoid cancelling my meeting at delhi and also not to extend my wife’s leave, I agreed, but I was in for another shock when they charged me almost double the previous value for my new ticket. (Rs 7792/- for the confirmed ticket in my hand and Rs 14928/- for the new ticket). AND rs 7792 is still not refunded in my credit card account!! and i have paid 14000/- extra.Details of new tickets are also attached.
To add to the harassment the flight was delayed by 90 mins. But as though all this harassment was not enough, we reached Delhi international air port arrivals, belt no. 14 to find that our baggage (2 nos. were missing). Following are the few unforgettable experience that followed:
                              • No AI personel in the office (lost baggage)for 2 hrs, few more people from Toronto flight were waiting, who have already missed their connecting flights.
                              • I could not leave my kid and wife alone for onward journey, they had to wait there, just before the exit, with no proper food available for my kid.
                              • I had to cancel an important meeting at Delhi office.
                              • AI personnel some mr. Sanjay came after a long time. He tried to help me out by searching for our baggage but failed. He registered a complain with file no. DEL AI 32959 between 3.30pm & 4.00 pm.(2th Nov2010).
                              • We had an onward journey planned to Chandigarh by Kalka Shatabdi, the print out of which was in my check in baggage. I asked for a printer to take a new print but they were helpless, absolute helpless.
                              • We rushed to New Delhi Station at 4.10pm without a print out of our valid ticket (copy attached). I took a print of my ticket on my way to New Delhi station, with a constant tension of missing the train, with my one year old kid – hungry & cranky & harassed.
                              • We boarded the train just 5 mins before its departure. With all our warm clothes in check in baggage and Delhi temperature at around 28, it was an absolute torture for which only and only AI is responsible.
                              • Chandigarh was even colder at night. We purchased all new jackets, sweaters, inners, etc. at Chandigarh. (bills can be furnished if required)
                              • AND AS IF THE SERIES OF HARASSMENT NEVER ENDS NOBODY ANSWERS THE CALL AT DELHI AIR PORT AI OFFICE FOR LOST BAGGAGE. I AM TRYING FOLLOWING NUMBERS EVERY 10-20 MINS FOR LAST 4 DAYS;
                              [protected]-3116
[protected], [protected], 24622220, ETC. SOMETIMES AN OPERATOR PICKS UP AND CONNECTS TO A NEW NO. WHERE SHE SAYS NO ONE ANSWERS THE CALL.

AND WE ARE YET TO RECEIVE OUR BAGGAGES WHICH CONTAIN ALL CLOTHES, IMPORTANT OFFICE DOCUMENTS, INDISPENSABLE MEDICINES AND OTHER ITEMS LIKE MOBILE CHARGERS, ETC.
Given the aforesaid situation, I just demand an adequate compensation for the trauma me and my family underwent( for the extra Rs 7000/- which I paid for the new ticket and or all the money we spent for extra clothes purchased in Chandigarh) and are still going through for our baggage. And if at all Air India is, WHEN is it planning to sent us our baggage???
Most of my friends and colleagues who are senior executives throughout the cross section of corporate India are of the feeling that one should never go for AI. Is it a matter of pride for AI – our national airlines??
I request you to address the matter at the earliest.
                              THANKS

I had booked a connecting flight through Make my trip for Mumbai-Hyderabad, Hyderabad-Delhi. Mumbai Hyderabad flight was through King Fisher Red and Hyderabad Delhi flight through Air India.

Both the Air Lines were aware of the connecting flight status. Kingfisher Red flight was late by approximately half an hour. Collecting baggage from the Kingfisher Red and arriving at departure terminal took me 20 more minutes. I reported at the boarding counter at 8.50 P.M i.e. 40 minutes prior to the departure of Air India flight to Delhi.

I was refused boarding pass on the pretext that the flight has already took off. I requested the duty manager and he put my arrival time as 8.54 P.M on my ticket and told a ground staff to move me out of the air port. However I requested him to please let me wait at air port to think over my further plan of action as I was new to the Hyderabad City and I had my daughter accompanying me and I felt quite insecure to move out of the Air port with no where to go.

Then and there I had to book my train tickets(which also could not got confirmed) and move to the station at midnight approximately 2.30 A.M. More over I was asked to show my PASSPORT at the Air port. Moreover the ground staff was quite unprofessional in dealing with the customers and they had no manners as to how to speak and also did not have the sensitivity to guide us for our next steps. They harassed us even when we requested them to help us getting our tickets cancelled.

I am filling this complaint to inform you about the atrocities handed down by the ground staff and also to claim a redressal and punitive damages for the loss of money and time that took place due to mental and physical harassment that we had to under go.

                                  Hi Mr Abhay

Sorry to hear that you haven't received your luggage still. I too flew on AI 126 chicago to mumbai via delhi 14th november 2010( arival in mumbai on 15th) and I am still awaiting news for the baggage of mine that was missing. I heard that there are more than 900 bags lying unclaimed in delhi / mumbai and many of them have their tags missing. All o[censored]s should get together and make air india pay for this gross negligence and mishandling.

                                    Hi,

I never seen such a verse flight like Air India...I will never go in Air India in my life time..I was travelling alone with 6 months baby..Problem started from the chennai airport itself..They didnt provide ticket for my baby and asked me to get the ticket from mumbai. Finally i got the ticket in Mumbai..I had a baby stroller as i need to trave till US(Newark).During transit it is tough to hold the baby for moer than 3 hrs, so i had a baby stroller wth me.I cleary mentioned i need the stroller in all the transit. But i didnt get my strolleri n any transit.I need to carry him all along till US.After gtting down from the flight, in transit i asked so many people in the Airport but everyone said that i will get the stroller in US..Then what is the purpose of bringing the stroller.Previously i went in Jet Airways...It was very good, ther were no such problems.

Next coming to the behavior of Air Hostess...So damn verse.. I am carrying my baby and luggage.I asked them to help me in carrying the baby or luggage...They were not bothered about it..They were so rude..Their duty was to provide only food.Jet Airways were so helpfull, while entering the flight they helped me with the luggage till my seat..

I booked for a basinet seat for my baby..But they provided same seat no for both of them..It was abig problem and i was standing with the kid till the problem was rectified..Please be carefull while providing th seat numbers...

Please, Atleast from now on show some courtesty and help atleast the people who are travelling alone with the kid.

                                    Refund for tickets

Despite errors shown tickets were booked online, same ticket were booked through travel booking site, therefore booking done twice for the same persons travelling. Require refund

I was travelling from Seoul to Delhi on November 4, 2010 by Air India flight AI317 which departed from Seoul at 15.30PM after almost two hrs delay. The flight had a technical stop at Hong Kong airport for an hr. During the flight we were served drinks and snacks before lunch. I was really shocked that the snacks (roasted masala nuts) were outdated stocks. It was manufactured in April 2010. The packet clearly stated that it is meant for consumption only up to six months from the date of manufacture. When I complained the same, the staff gave me a form to fill it and sealed the same along with the empty packet. They assured me that it will be delivered to the appropriate department. It is too early to receive a response from the concerned authorities.

What kind of an image AI wants to showcase? As a government employee, I am forced to travel by AI. Till now I am only familiar with the poor serice offered to the passengers by AI. First time, I realise that AI is not bothered to serve outdated food products to its passengers even on international flight.

I am really ashamed and upset to support an organization like AI that lacks respect to its customers.

I arrived on the AI-140 flight from JFK to Mumbai. I had 4 pieces of checked in luggage and received only 2 at the baggage claims. I filed a written report and the staff at that moment was very helpful. They told me to come and pick-up my luggage (preferably since i stay close by). They mentioned that u can pick ur baggage from the claims when it arrives on the same flight, same time next day.

The next day, i reached around 11.15 (since the flight was delayed). I went to the airport arrivals exit door. Told that i needed to collect my baggage. The guards at the door pointed me to the AI counter sight in front of this entrance. At the counter, a clearly free from work Shama was sitting idle. I asked if she could help me, i had some baggage issues. She said " Baggage is not my department, please go inside for baggage (pinting me towards the corridor to her right)

As a naive layman, i walked along the corridor trying to see if i could find a Baggage help desk. I found none. I reached the customs area and walked across the lost baggage kiosk. Nobody stopped me or questioned me to check. I had a baggage slip that they had given the earlier day, i thought that was probably my permit.

Unaware, i reached the counter, found the nice girl who helped me the previous day. She was handling another customer and very nicely asked me to wait. She was gone for quite long, so i decided to ask the other person on desk about my baggage.
I asked Ms. Choonawala or Soonawala ( a parsi lady maybe in her 50s). I very nicely asked if she could help me.. she said yes... I told her my case and instantly, she started yelling at me... 'how did u come in, who allowed u inside... you have breached security etc etc... I told her what had happened so again she started yelling at me, that i was putting a blame on their innocent staff...She went on for about 10 mins... just yelling in front of everyone around. I was really embarassed...I said that i agree that... i shouldnt have been able to get to that point without any security interruptions... it could've been anyone else with a bomb.Calmly... I said that the security was not right in letting me go without any documentation. She was right, but i was not at fault... it was the faulty security. She again started screaming and insulting me. Finally, i got really angry and i started yelling at her... I asked her if this was her defense for not giving me the baggage... at this she asked me to leave the premices. She told me, i wont give u anything,... get out and come back with the proper procedure... She walked me... harshly to the exit... and in front of the 1000s of people waiting outside, she told the guard not to let me in unless someone comes and gets me. In front if her, the lady shama came and defended her case that she didnt tell me to go inside...Soonawalla left without giving me any guidance as to what to do next...Shama started yelling at the security guard ' Baggage is not my department so dont send baggage people to my counter' ...I told them, that because they dont want to do any work outside their work zone, people like us suffer. The guard told me to go upstairs and get a pass. Me and my old parents walked all the way to the upper help desk, only to hear ' Go down.. u'll get a pass there'.... We requested to see the supervisor... A very nice guy, Mr. Adil, said he will help us, and he called the nice girl from the baggage zone.. She then helped me with the pass etc. Eventually, i got only one piece of my baggage,,,, soonawalla said the other oe would come the next day.

I spoke to a lot of customs officers about my case. They said that the lady is absolutely rude to most customers. Some of them had actually seen her scream at an innocent gujarati lady passenger. At this, she was instructed by an official not to dominate the poor lady who was almost on the verge of crying.

I guess this lady feels, that talking loudly and rudely to customers might help the airlines hide the flaws... maybe thats how she talks to her family too... BUT SUCH PEOPLE SHOULD NOT BE IN A CUSTOMER SERVICE DEPARTMENT because they dont know the basic manners and etiquette of talking to customers. I REQUEST THE RESPONSIBLE OFFICERS TO FIRE HER from this position.... she has no right to stand there and talk trash to people!!! that she can do at home...
