I Rashamdeep Loona R/o Bathinda punjab purchased a LCD 32" of sony from authorised dealer M/s Ravi Enterprises. I got a coupon with the LCD and i won the 3rd prize on that coupon. i was informed through mail and call through sony india. they demanded some documents and i provided the same within the given time.but i did not received said gift from last 2 month. i am regularly in touched with the customer care of sony india but i m not getting any solution from them.. kindly help me if you can... my mail id is robin.[protected]@gmail.com and contact no is [protected]

yes i got my gift thanks a lot for this.

but if we talk about your service then i want to tell you about my experience with sony.

i was in touch of your team i. e Customer care on [protected] your regional office chandigarh, your local dealer, your local territory manager and at sony india mail id from 25 feb to till last. but no solution provided by any of you team. So in the end i have to take the help of this site and my personal advocate. i have all the recordings whenever i had talked to you executive but they all were unable to give me a solution. finally when i updated my complaint on this site and also when i told your executive that now i am going to file a complaint in consumer court against you then within a week i got my gift.

i was the permanent customer of your exclusive sony dealer of bathinda. i always preferred to buy sony products but now i will think a lots of time before buying sony products.

    Respected Sir,

    Sub: Grievance over defective and negligent services of Mobile Phone sellers M/s. Arihant Mobile Agency, 213, Sakar Building-1, Opp: Raj Empire Cinema, Albee-Bhatar Road, Surat.

    With reference to the subject matter I beg to state that I had purchased Mobile Phone, Model: SONY T 700 from M/s. Arihant Mobile Agency, 213, Sakar Building-1, Opp: Raj Empire Cinema, Albee-Bhatar Road, Surat under their Sales Bill No.2963 dated 04th October, 2010 for Rs.6,900/- under warranty for one year, as per following configuration:

    The Mobile Phone worked normally for some time but developed problems like “poor network and frequent hanging”, for which on[protected] it was shown to the Service Station of the Company: M/s. Sony Ericsson India, PG Services, 3, Kalindi Caves Appt., Opp: Dayalji Ashram, Majura Gate, Surat. They checked the phone and on[protected] reported that there was a software problem in it. The phone remained with the Service Centre from 26-02-11 to 04-03-11 when it was returned to me.

    I used the phone till 21-03-11 but it again developed problems and it was again given to the Service Centre M/s. S.P. Connecting ( Sony Ericsson Experience Store, Shiv Pooja Point, Nr. Aaykar Bhavan, Turning Point, Ghod Dod Road, Surat) On the same day they returned the phone and told me that they have installed new software and now if any problem is faced then the phone will be required to be sent to the Company for replacing with new “motherboard”.

    The very next day, i.e. on 22-03-11 the phone again developed problem and was shown to the Service Centre S.P. Connecting who retained it with them and told me that they would send it to the Company for replacement of mother board.

    I visited the Service Centre after 15 days and they told me that it cannot be repaired and alternatively they would give me another phone in lieu of this one which would be of the same price and configuration etc. After a week I again visited the Service Centre for getting delivery of new phone, as promised by them, but I was told that they cannot give a new phone and will now repair the original phone properly and return to me.

    Till date, the phone is lying in possession of M/s. S.P. Connecting and there is no progress reported to me nor any standby set has been provided to me.
    Under the circumstances stated above, I am very much upset and aggrieved to have spent Rs.6,900/- for a Mobile Phone which is neither in my possession and even nor being utilized by me for no fault on my part.

    It is hereby humbly requested to kindly give a fair and just consideration to my grievance and do justice in the matter at an earliest date and oblige.

      I bought a Sony Vaio VPCM 126 ag and it keeps having hard drive problems. The very first problem occured 6 days after buying the product and the company refused to give me a new piece. They said the hard drive had failed and they had to replace it. After much haggling, the company admitted their mistake and sent me a new piece 2 months later. Now the new laptop is again having the same hard drive failure problem. Please save your money. Do not buy Sony Vaio products in India. Their customer service is terrible.

      Yes you are very true, I am having similar problem in my laptop but it failed after 1 year. But could you suggest howmuch it cost to replace with 320 GB hard disk at Jamshedpur.

      SONY VAIO - a Faulty Laptop

      looks can be deceiving and SONY VAIO proves it!
      A cheap quality expensive product.

      Hi, I bought sony vaio laptop a year back and since the time i bought this having problems with it. It hangs after

      startup. Lately my hard disk got crashed and lost all my data, since its warranty just got over they dont take any responsibility.
      You can never expect this to happen from an expensive product like sony vaio, it comes with faulty hard disk.

      I strongly recommend not to buy Sony Vaio laptop, it just have good looks but faulty machine. Customer service is

      extremly poor, even they dont have any info on contact no.s of their own service centers.

      Faulty hard disk sure will crash atleast once within 2years
      They use TOSHIBA hard disks, why not to buy this product
      Expensive than some of the better other laptops
      Rude and in-experience customer support,
      Cheap service in expensive price

      Just dont go by the looks, as i did, think before buying this product or rather i would say don't keep this as an option.

        Good to have a Sony Vaio laptop. I've purchased it yesterday but the touch pad right key is not working feel like throughing it away and go for some other company because I've no time to run around the service centres.

          get hang all time

          i am nirav panchal from ahmedabad, i bored of sony ericsson u10i it's really disgusting phone . i bought it around 8 month ago , from starting it have problem when 6 or more than messages are unread than another message come than it get hang. i have given this phone to service center for five times , but nothing change even i change my motherboard than also this problem is occurring , if this time this problem don't solved i guaranty...

          I purchased Sony Ericsson XPERIA X8 vide Invoice no.1077/6858 dated 18th March 2011 from The Mobile Store Ltd,Elgin Road,Kolkata.

          The handset worked fine for around 28days from the date of purchase but on 16th April,2011,suddenly the handset stopped working.I filed a complaint on 16th April 2011 itself at ur service center Accel Frontline,Kolkata and handed over the handset with battery vide Workorder no.- SE311AKL10632 dated 16/4/1011.On checking the handset,the service center opined the problem as DEAD.

          I was given a week's time by service center for return of the repaired handset. But even after 16 days now the handset has not been delivered on one pretext or other citing non availabilty of certain spare parts.

          Since the handset is defective,as per ur service center, and being within the warranty period, I demand an immediate replacement of the handset by a new one under advice to me on my e-mail id.

          Failing your immediate action,I reserve the right to move to the appropriate consumer forum for redressal and compensation at ur cost and resposibility.

          Sony Ericsson Xperia — defective handset

          I had taken sony ericson expiria nd exchanged it for the for times now i want my mony back and custmer care is not even taking my cal or replying me on my mail id now i dont know wat to do i had spent 30000 rs nd now not geting any thing

          sony ericsson xperia x8 — phone repairing

          I Veenu Chaudhary gave my cell phone(Xperia X8) at Sony Ericsson service center,KFC basement Noida sec-18 (u.p) for repairing its display.It has been 3 months and they have not done the job till now.

          sony ericsson xperia x8 — service warranty being considered as tempered

          They are saying that the product is tempered but tempered means intertionally doing something and when i say them that do u actually know the meaning of temper then the answer they give is damage mein lele.The problem really existing with my mobile phone is that in the jack of the head phone i just used my earphone and some part weared outon its own.........how can that be considered as a physical damage or tempering.......and when u call the customer care they say that we have registered your complaint and will call back.....but nobody cares to call.........and the service centre is not ready to provide the no. of the official concerned......this is just running away from service obligations

                Hi All,

                My name is Mubashir Aslam Khan, i have purchased the sony vaio note book and it was very good, till i submit the same at sony vaio service center nehru place. I have problem with touch pad click, it was bit hard but i was able to use it. After submitting the laptop at the service center, whcih they fixed within four hrs and i was very impressed, but when i reached home, i found out my speakers are not working, they produce the sound like there is no signal with FM radio. I went back and complaint for the same. They then confirmed that speakers are damaged, i confirmed how they said why are you worried , this your machine is under warranty, we will fix it for free, i kept quite as soon as it was for free, but they said we need to order the part and will take two working days, i had no choice but had to wait for the same. Unfortunately i waited for 12 days and called there customer service four times and they said it will come from singapore and you need to wait and then i got call after 15 days and got my speakers fixed, but once again need to submit my laptop there and i was not feeling good for the same. So the person who got me the Job sheet for the same for submitting the laptop, i made sure with him about the laptop and in front of him i got him everything checked and he confirmed and said yes everthg is ok no scratch on laptop and its is good shape. They asked me to wait for another four hrs as he they its lunch time, i waited by roaming in nehru place. When i went to the center gain, they said yes its done and shock was they said why are you using the microsoft security essentials security software we can provide you anti virus kaspersky and clearly said its recommended by sony vaio, i declined. I went home and tried to check my speakers it worked good for only one song and stopped compleatly the same and i was so pissed off and called the customer care. they appologised and said we will escalte the case and you will receive the call back wtill 4pm today and disconnected. but i didnt recieved the call, call back they said tommorow. Now that i ahve called sony vaio cmr service 4 times and they are arranging call back thats what they promise. Now that i felt taht my laptop is making more noise and found out two screws are missing and my dvd drive is not working either. I am completely blank now what to do. Please suggest me the best way.

                At nehru place, they are all cheaters.Dont even trust the authorised showrooms, they often sell refurbished laptops which dont have a warranty.I once bought a motherboard for rs 6500, later came to know that the keyboard was not working.Then i got it replaced(warranty), but i still doubt that this motherboard is old and refurbished.Also almost all the screws of my laptop were missing.Dont buy anything from there.

                  I , Mrs. Shriya Rana , purchased Sony Ericssson Mobile handset on 21/10/2011 with mobile handset named SONY W 100I . IMEI : [protected] from BHATIA COMM.& RETAIL ( INDIA ) PVT.LTD. After 15 dyas of the purchase date , mobile stated to get hanged . So i contacted the Sony Ericsson Customer Care Centre on[protected]. They said that the mobile had some software installation problem and suggested to format the phone. After doing so, the mobile is still not working properly as of date. i am fustrated visiting their office frequently and still not getting any satisfactory answer from them. please look into the matter and do the needfull.

                  Sony Ericsson C510 Mobile Set — Not functioning

                  Purchased a Sony Erricson C 510 Mobile Set in 19/11/ 2009 .Started problem in January and stopped total functioning byFeebruary 2010. Handed over the phone to BABLI MEDIA ( with authorised service center Sign Board ) - with great difficulties and after intervention with call center and RT Outsourcing L1 Service Centre - Kolkata - got back the phone without repairand facia in damaged condition . RT Outsourcing informed that Babli Media is no more authorised service centre.They also doubted Babli Media might have damaged the set. Till then RT Outsourcing is going on multiple attempt to rectify the phone but failed to do so. I have contacted multiple times to call centre with a request to change the faulty phone . They have refused to do so and even they have disconnected the phone. In this period nerly 90 days the phone is with the servicve edntre. Neither the could rectify the phone , nor the replace the phone. No body gives the phone no of Higher ups for escalating the complain . Its now around 8 months I have purchased the phone but could use the same for 45 days or so. I have to purchase another phone to carry on my regular activities.
                  Till today SonyErricsson web site shows the name Babli Media as their authorised Service Centre in Kolkata.

                  Present status is that it is lying in their Service Centre for indifinite period for Facia Change. w/o no - SE310KRS12207

                  Its really horrible experience and a case study that a consumers reach to the MNC is really blocked and limited to Outsourced Servicentre and Call center.

                  Hi,

                  I am using Sony Ericsson (cyber shot C510)..
                  The Screen of the handset does not work.My sister has the same model and she is facing with similar problem.The screen does not work even if I restart the phone.The phone is around 8 months old.

                  P.S -- The phone has never fallen from a height or does not have any physical damage whatsoever ..

                    I had purchased a Sony Bravia LCD model no. KLV32T550A,a year ago. I week earlier when i swiched on my TV, screen is full Black and no picture is appering on it. When contacted with Sony Service centre they said its Mother Board got corrpeted and you have to install new mother board costing Rs. 7000/- Appox.
                    Tell me one thing when i purchased a LCD of Rs. 34000/- Appox a year ago, and now you guys are saying you need to spend Rs. 7000/- more.
                    Then what is the difference in quality of SONY and other CHINA PRODUCTS, if sony products is lasts only for a year, then why to pay such a high price.

                    I am searching for a mail ID for the concern person in Sony but not able to Find it.

                    My warrenty period expires on March 7, 2011 and i am now in the month of April 11.


                    I ask to replace my LCD's mother board at the earliers at free of cost

                      I have sony ericsson C903.it was having a flex problem so i gave it to nashik sony ericsson service center on 5th.04.11 n todays date is 24.04.11 but still have not got my phone back.

                      Sony ericsson C903 — Phone repairs

                      bought a brand new Sony Ericsson C903 on 17th May, 2010, sealed box with warranty. Right since day one, there were problems with volume and calls. Slowly the problems increased. In just two months, the keys became hard, phone began to hang very often, speakers went for a toss and even the music player would just skip tracks. I submitted the phone to the service centre at Platinum Mall, Ghatkopar, Mumbai on 27th July, 2010. They told me to come and collect it in a week. But when I went after a week, they said the problems are very major and serious and it will take another week. When I contacted them again after another week, the lady on the phone told me it will take a minimum of two more weeks! All the keys are not working and even the joystick is damaged and they don't have any parts! I don't know what to do! I'm a professional and this is impacting my work. My backup phone is also not in a proper functioning condition (the reason I bought a new phone in the first place) and the repairs are too expensive. I really don't now what to do or whom to contact. I'll never recommend this brand to anyone nor buy it in the future. This is the worst service I've ever come across!

                      Sony Ericsson C903 — FAULT IN MOBILE WITHIN 2 WEEKS OF PURCHASE

                      I Purchased a moblie from sony ericsson : model no. C903
                      imei/serial no. [protected] On 13/07/2010 from a MOBILE VILA : C4E/337 JANAK PURI , NEW DELHI..BILL NO. 20327 DATED 13/07/2010.
                      Within 2 weeks of purchase the keys of the set stopped functioning and it was brought to the notice of dealer who advised to deposit the cell at SONY ERICSSON SERVICE CENTER-HARKISHAN SERVICES , JANAK PURI
                      UG-26 SUNEJA TOWER-2 , DISTRICT CENTER, NEW DELHI.
                      I was shocked when the set was kept there for more than 15 days and then was returned to me.
                      The problem re-occured within few days and i again gave the cell at the same service center : wide workorder no.SE310HKS10804 on 4/10/2010 and this time problem was with the spekers and problem in the navigation key.
                      Althogh more than 12 days have passed but till date the cell is not been repaired.The continuos occuring of the same problem in high quality cell made me dissapointed.The set being purchased 3 months ago and the same is lying at the service center for more than 1 month.If this type of reputed companies require soo much of time to repair a single set , than at least they should provide an alternative set to the customer and should explan the reason why so much time is required and they are supposed to pay the compensation for harrasment/delay and mental torcher.
                      i request the authorities to replace the set and take appropriate action why the service center are taking soo much of time in repairing when the set a new one and the problem of spare parts should not be there.I further request that please look into the matter urgently as i am a student and living in a hostel without a cell.
                      i would like to know what action has been taken towards the complaint.

                        Dear Sir

                        On the eve of Marathi new year, we decided to purchase a Sony LED EX 52 Television. We chose to buy this because Sony is regarded to be internationally recognized brand.

                        We purchased the same from Jogdeo and Sons, Laxmi Road, Pune 411 030 on 4th April , 2011. On the same day in the afternoon one gentleman from the shop installed and set right the T.V set and told us that the company man will come to demonstrate the working of the set.

                        Next day i..e. on 5th April, 2011, the picture on the T.V was flickering and was not clear at all. We told M/s Jogdeo and Co. about this problem. His technician came and checked the T.V and told us to contact Sony Co people to replace the faulty piece. On 10th April the person from Sony came to see the problem, clicked some snaps and assured us to replace the same.

                        Since then it has been half a month we have been receiving answers that we will be getting our piece replaced today or tomorrow.

                        To our utter dismay till today we have not received the T.V set. This type of service is not expected from such a highly internationally branded company like SONY

                        I hereby request you to kindly look into the matter and expedite the delivery of the T.V Set.

                          I lodged a complaint for LCD bravio TV on 18.4.2011 and I was assured that within 48 hours, complaint will be taken care. To my surpirse, no body appeared till 21.4.2011. Again I have to rang up for the reminder and I was told that complaint will be cleared today. But again no response. Again I called today and I was told that no complaint has been registered. Then I told that yesterday, there was record of complaint. Finally after the discussions of 30 mins this was agreed and I was told that complaint will be attended today. Now it is 8:00 p.m. and no body responded.

                          This defect in SONy TV was attended in March 2011 in 120 hours with assurance of 48 hours given by customer care people. This defect occurred again after the one month of attending the problem.

                          I donot understand when they cannot attend the problems in 48 hours, why false promises are being done by them.

                          This is SONY brand which is known for their quality in the world but the quality of service. It is ????????????????

                            My self ankur isadra, i was purchase a sony ericsson mobile on jan-2011,and after few days it's not working properly so i was submit that mobile at service centre first on 28/02/2011 then i received mobile on 17/03/2011 but problem yet not solved properly so i submited second time on the same day(17/03/2011) but till i have not received my mobile from service centre.

                            I was also contact with sony ericsson customer care but they always say please wait for two days i will update u, but no update received from sony eriscson then again call for update he says pleaase wit for two days more. we will call you and update you sone.

                            i was log complaint on customer care first time with case no :89871678 on date 14/03/2011 and second time withcase no[protected].

                            dear sir now i want only replacement for my mobile, i have purachase 10340 rs. mobile model hazel greenheart j20.
                            when i contact with dealer he also says i cant do anything.

                            Please do the needful. i have surfuring from almost two month and also it's ifect on my business.

                              My uncle has purchased a new Sony Camcorder (Model: HDR_CX150E/BC E37; SERIEL NO: 1741511) from dealer ALFA COLOUR LAB, Jamnagar on 11.12.2010. After recording video & taking few snaps they tried to download them all to their PC via a USB cable. Everytime they try to download, the camcorder displays "INTERNAL MEMORY FORMAT ERROR" and then immediately hangs. This was reported immediately after the purchase to the dealer, but got no satisfactory response from them. They made them follow some steps on their local PC with no positive results. After reaching them three times, they asked them to leave the camcorder with them for a week, however after a week also nothing could be fixed. Then they redirected them to the Sony India Service Centre in Rajkot, however denied to provide them any further information with a straight statement "Hum kuch nahi kar saktey hain iss case mein".

                              Assuming that its a known error and can be fixed easily, they used the same camera in their son's wedding... and now are scared of loosing all the precious moments they have captured of their son's wedding.

                              Right after the wedding they approached the same dealer omnce again with a little hope of getting their issue resolved, however faced an extremely rude behaviour from Alpha employees.

                              Please help us finding the solution.

                                i have purchased a sony ericsson mobile from big bazaar vapi in dec 2010. Within a month the handset started giving a problem of restart, hangingetc... i have sent the mobile to service centre and taken back butr within 2 days the handset started giving the same problem and from last 1 month m trying to give my phone in service centre but the centre is always closed and now telling they are having problem with the company...spoke to customer care many times but same words problem with service centre...lastly given mobile in service centre named joystick in vapi lets see wat happn....i want my phone replced...hope u will understand my problem and look in to the matter.....

                                    There is a serious issue with the Sony Bravia LCDs. The LCD does not actually support the formats it claims to support. I recently bought a Bravia 32" EX400 LCD, which claims to support mpeg1 and mpeg2 movie formats through USB slot. However, when you try playing any standard video in this format, the picture is rendered in small size (in the center of screen, nearly 1/4th the size of the screen. However, when the same video file is played in any other LCD like LG or Samsung, it plays perfectly in full screen size. Having consulted the sony support, after escalating the issue nearly 3+ times, the executive actually came to check and then confirms that you actually need a video of picture size 1920x1200 pixels, the standard videos that we get in CD, DVD or through internet won't show in full LCD screen. Having come to know of this issue, i took up the matter with Sony and Croma, to return the LCD and instead give me a LG LCD, however, they just don't care to respond (despite such a blatantly critical issue). The only alternative left is to register a case against the company in consumer court.

                                    I would strongly suggest that people should not go for SONY, just because of it's BRAND name. Not only do they develop faulty and dumb (outdated and silly) products but also have horrible service in India.

                                    Well the problem is there are no free video converters available that can convert the standard videos to 1920x1200 pixels size. Sony support was not able to provide any such free converter.

                                    And if this is the issue with the LCD, why isn't it clearly mentioned when selling the LCD? Like why is it not clearly mentioned on the LCD itself, in the USB feature sticker? The customers are being deceived by not disclosing this critical issue!

                                    Please note that i was not able to see any visible difference in picture quality when viewing the standard video on LG or Samsung, hence the perception you are mentioning is not really something that a common man would notice. It's a major GAP from the common usage of the LCD for viewing movies, which renders the LCD useless. I would surely like to get a complete refund on this LCD and would instead prefer buying some other brand that "really" supports the standard video formats.
                                    the complaint stated is absolutely correct, i myself bought an EX 300 from dubai last year, i picked it over a samsung full hd series 5, because i considered SONY as a bigger brand, but it seems sony does not realize that the actual user can not go through a process of conversion and then viewing the same video . they should CLEARLY MENTION, on the box . the samsung that i DID NOT, pick and my friend picked, was cheaper than sony and my friend picked the same, this tv plays AVI, DIV X, MPEG 1, 2 AND I THINK ALL FORMATS . i feel cheated by SONY . even chinese LCD TV ARE GIVING this feature, then why the best of the best is depriving its loyal customers with such features . its a Shame . people are getting smarter and picking up brands like SAMSUNG over sony, at least they get their money's worth . sony's got to pull up their socks ...maybe upgrade the software or so .
                                    Hi i am also facing the same issue. I bought EX300 by the brand name of SONY. When i tryed to paly videos through External Hard Disk(Flash Drive) its not able to recoginize the drive. I tried the same drive to plug in to Samsung and it show the drive and play all formates of videos. The normal user dont know the diff of picture resolution etc.. he will see the features its has (SONY don't paly all formates). He thought if it has USB then it would play all vidoes which SONY won't do. If any body wan't to buy LCD don't go for SONY as brand name. Go for Samsung or LG. I think there is not much diff for the SONY and other brands. Other brands are comming cheaper that SONY and they have many features comaparing with SONY.
                                    Pls let me know how to over come the issue(play all formates of videos with full screen). because we are not getting free converts.

                                    i don't think anyone replies on these posts ...one of the sony admin did reply and he has not yet come up with the solution .. SONY is loosing its own brand image and value ...i still don't believe that they are ACTUALLY lacking behind smaller brands like LG AND SAMSUNG ..its a shame .
                                    Hi friends, this is really disappointing for us the customer to be cheated and not getting the worth of our hard earn money . I have been using Sony's brand for the last 6 years from sony music systems to sony zappin .Now i have taken a firm decision " NOT TO TRUST SONY "anymore .
                                    ALL FORMATS VIDEOS R NOT SUPPORTTED IN SONY IT VERY DIFFCULT TO PLAY THE VIDEOS

                                    Totally cheated by SONY, i recommend you not to purchase any SONY TV.

                                      I had bought a Sony Ericsson Touch Screen phone for INR 23,450/- on bill on 05/07/2010 from Jumbo Electronics, Noida. Jumbo is the authorised resseller for Sony Ericsson. The touch screen stopped functioning on 22nd January'2011. Same day I deposited the phone to Sony Ericsson authorised repair center in Noida i.e Neeru Enterprises.

                                      After one month of followup I was told that the my phone has been send to Sony ericsson service center and I was told to follow up with them directly. Since then I have called Sony Ericsson service center almost 40-50 times and have only got false commitments. They have niether repaired the phone nor are they ready to replace and they have continuously told me that replacing the phone is not in the policy and its been more almost 3 months of continouos follow up without any response. The phone is still in warranty but they are not supporting it.

                                      They have now started talking rudely and even bang the phone and give false dates. I am really in pain and donot understand where to go and what to do. My hard earned money is stuck with them and on top of it the harrasment has been beyond tolerance.

                                      I feel feel completely cheated and had to litteraly beg them to return my phone, they also suggested that after 4 months that I can collect my phone without repairs on giving a application that I am taking it on my own responsibility.

                                      It has been most embarising and worst experience in my life. Firstly I was cheated with poor quality phone and when I am getting it repaired even after 4 months they have not done anything.

                                      Please help........
