I rate the Sony Ericsson Vivaz U5I phone, below one star, in fact I give it a -10 star rating!

For the following reasons -
1) I owned two of them, & both units had problems from day one.
2) One unit's touch screen was sent in three times, on the third time they eventually replaced the lcd screen panel.
3) Both Audio Headsets were cheap & nasty, as they broke within 6 months o[censored]sing them, to top it off we were not granted a replacement.
4) One cannot find/purchase any original accessories for this model in ZA, especially the AV link cable that allows this unit to connect to an external monitor/screen.
5) Both unit's Data Transfer/Power Bay's pins did not make contact with the power supply cable, so one cannot charge it. This happened 6 months of owning them.
6) the Data Transfer/Power Bay Pin on one unit had come out completely from the connection port, from inside the phone, dislodging completely from the mother/circuit board.
7) When the units were sent in for the same problem area, Vodacom SA & Sony Ericsson discharged the one unit as B.E.R / BER (beyond economic repair) & refused to repair/replace it.
8) The other unit, they repaired the Data Transfer/Power Bay, despite them saying it was a brand new unit, but in fact I got my old faulty unit back, & the same unit would not charge the same night of receiving it back.
9) Now reading the reviews, I am reminded of things that happened on the phone, that we actually thought were a network problem, but in fact are OS & software related issues, so I can now confirm that the handset overall is a failure, except the Video, that we can only right home about.

Vodacom SA & Ericsson South Africa do not want to accept responsibility for a design error on the Sony Ericsson Vivaz u5i unit,
as the power bay is also the data transfer bay, & the pins within; are not robust or designed to handle daily in/out connecting of the power/data cable,
& we were offered the same make & model on one repair, & a down graded Nokia E51 model for the other BER unit, what a lovely replacement phone!!!
This was after I had put up a fuss of months & months of complaining.

So to anyone wanting to know if a Sony Ericsson Vivaz U5I phone is a smart buy, then this should be a good reason to avoid a purchase,
as for the service of both Sony Ericsson SA & Vodacom South Africa, my problem with both our handsets have been ongoing for 3 months now,
& they have had the units in their possession for this period of time, & all that they can offer is a completely inferior phone
& a replacement phone that is bound to break in the same place.

Vodacom — Charges

Last year an un-authorized debit order went of my bank account for another company causing me not to be able to pay my vodacom account. We had severe financial difficulties at the time and still do, We applied for debt counceling and the full account for vodacom of over 18, 000.00 rand is now payable. We have informed them that we do have a problem but they still handed us over. Their is three cell phones involved now the balance as per above is for the remaining of the contracts as well. Surely if you are financial dificulties they can not hold you responsible. When you take out a contract you can not see in the future to see what is coming. I think this a very unfair to charge a client for the full outstanding contract even though you are not using that service. I would very much like this matter investigated, please.
I totally agree, I am having a similiar problem. I have been in hospital for a couple of weeks and fell behind on my account. I am stuck talking to rude and unhelpful people in a call center, supervisors that never calls back. I want to pay my account but they just refuse to explain the process that I have to go through and when they do they get rude and irritated. Its times like this when you realise when it goes better who you will use and who not and Vodacom wont be one.

Sony Ericsson Vivaz U5 — Complaint against the service.

Hi

I buied a sony ericson Vivaz U5 on 1st of oct this year, after a month i found some problem in my mobile set and then i visited to the sales office and i had been asked to visit the service centre.

On the very next day i went to the service centre and asked them to update my mobile software and there was a problem with my headset also. After being notified they asked me to change the mother board which will take 10 - 15 days.

After that iclled back to the sales office to resolve my probelm then they told me w are the only sales person we cant help with same. But at the time of saling they keep on asking if when evr you get any kind of problem in your set please feel free to visit us.

Now when i am asking them to replace my set they are refusing to do so. I want a justification to my querry.

I happend to purchase sony ericsson vivaz u5i through one of your dealers at ludhiana namely deekay beauty centre, ghumar mandi chownk ludhiana vide their bill no.-59337 dated 24/10/2010.UNFORTUNATELY my mobile developed some problem causing malfunctioning of touch screen .It itsellf get pressed.Accordingly i visited your service centre at ludhiana and explained them the entire problem on 25/1/2011.They kept my mobile with them against their workorder no. SE311RTL10266 and marked the problem reported"touch screen doesnot work" .They assured me that they look in to the problem and call me after a week. now the agony i am facing is that i am regularly visiting your service centre atleast two to three times in a week but everytime they are making different scapegoats about the fate of my mobile.We purchased this mobile keeping in mind your products reputation after paying very handsome amount.Now i have come to the conclusion it was my biggest mistake.Previously i was regularly using nokia hand sets but this time with the illustration of your product I decided to go for the same but What a big blunder i commited.Now through this mail i emphasise upon you to kindly look in to the complaint and try to get the need full done with in 10 days from the date of receipt of this mail otherwise I shall be left with no other alternative either to move to the consumer forum or to the court of law for which you will be solely responsible

      This is SUDHARSAN.S([protected]),from Chennai, i gave my PS3 120gb SLIM to PADI SONY SERVICE center in january mid-week ,cause system HANGS often while playing. After 2 weeks , i was told by the service center Employer that my PS3 system has some ISSUES with th MOTHERBOARD,cannot be repaired,but it can be replaced,i have to pay 10,000rs in additon to get a new PS3.i dont have money at that time,couldnt buy. Later i got job, transferd to KOLKATTA.

      Now,my friend went to that PADI sony service center, Employer is saying that THE SEAL is OPEN, we cannot take the PS3 system??.

      I havent played my PS3 for over 3months cause i m in KOLKATTA.I packed my Ps3 and kept in my home(Chennai).

      I need to talk with the manager,but he is refusing to talk with me? why?

      If My PS3 SEAL is open ,that would be done only by SONY SERVICE center, They never SHOWED me that the SEAL NOT OPEN ED,when they return Back my PS3 on FEB 2011.

      I need Justice! Why they r doing like this? For over 3months i am saving money to get my new PS3. VERY VERY Disappointed with the SERVICE & EMPLOYERS of SONY INDIA!!

WHAT IS GIVING ME A PROBLEM NOW IS MY ZYLO, AND MY LOCAL SONY REPAIR CENTER..HE DENIED TO REPAIR ANY FAULT UNLESS I BRIBES HIM. I AM VERY DISSATISFIED AND STRESSED ABOUT THIS PHONE, HE IS AKSING 1000 RS. THIS IS NOT THE ONLY ISSUE WITH THIS DEALER.MY FRND HAVE ALSO TOLD ME SIMILAR INCIDENTS ABT THIS SERVICE CENTER.         Sony Ericsson — Bad services at service centre and no action was taken

        I bought a sony ericsson J120i mobile phone from Subiksha mobiles Bhajan Pura for my house mad on 13 Feb 08. After one week on 21 Feb 08 the phone was set dead and with the hanged problems. I was not able to switch on the phone. I gave the phone for service in the nearest service centre (Tele talk communication, Bhajanpura). They promised to give me the hand set after todays but finally I got that set after one week. And again the problem was not resolved this time the key pad stop working and I am unable to dial any number. I had again reported this problem to nearest service centre (Tele talk communication Bhajan pura) on 15 March 08, and Mr Vashist refused to give me the job description of that hand set and asked me to complained to head office okhala. Some how I manage to get the second job description but till today i keep on following up with the that service centre but I have not received it back from them. They say that the spares were not supplied yet by the sony ericsson and our system is also dead so hopefully would be done by tomorrow. The worst of all is the sony ericsson customer service who always keep me given some more irrelevant information. When i called there was a customer support executive called Mr. Ram veer from Delhi, He did not respond properly and cut off the phone. When i again called she attended and cut. Is this the way of a leading company giving service to the customers? Very much dissatisfied with the customer service and the company and over and above that I have been informed by one of the Subhiksha person that Mr Vashist will give such mobiles to local market for repairing and once it come then most of the things of my mobile were replaced by the duplicate local parts. I am not sure to whom I need to complained and to whom I need to meet for that but it’s the worst thing that I had ever experienced and seen. Its not only violation of ethics but also a great company losing its credibility and authenticity.

        Sony-Ericsson — Not charging and no calls are coming

        I have purchased W710i phone from M/s Essar Telecom Retail Limited, Chennai vide invoice no. TN/01119/00001/7205 dated 22.04.2008 for Rs. 10, 099/-. Now only three months have passed, it is not working. I have given the phone for service to M/s. Accel Frontline Limited Chennai twice but still it is not working. Though the phone is on warranty, they have asked me to pay Rs. 481/- which I have paid and collected. Inspite of that it is not working. I request you to please get it replaced immediately as even after two services the phone is not working
        I have purchased ( on 23/03/08) a Sony Ericssion mobile (w200i). initially it works but after 3 months the battery is not Charging. I went to a Service centre at dadar Bombay. They told me without eximining that the handset is OK. Then i told them that while attached to Charger mobile shows its charging but after checking battery ststus u come to know that its not charged.
        The staff at Dadar Service centre is no enough knowladgeble to understand the problem. they are nor serious about the customers, and their problems. they keeps me waiting thr in service centre for 3 hours.
        now they have taken my mobile for 2nd time also. even though i have not taken back the mobile. now the Service centre incharge Mr. Sandesh ( Who is very arrogent person) said that he has to replace the mother board of the mobile.

        then what he was doing for last 1 month? they are not knowladgeable.

        he said the mobile was repaired but again it creats a problem. the mobile may get damaged by keepsing aslo.

        the wrost service Sony Ericssion at dadar service centre.
        I bought a Sony Ericsson handset (G700), and within 10days itself its battery is not working nor is its network catching. When I gave it to the service centre in Mumbai (Mira Road), they took 1 month & still have not to give it back to me. I was informed that the motherboard has gone and it’s taking time for them to bring it from Chennai. What worse, the so called authorized service centre guys keep telling me that it would take another week for the handset to get repaired... they are getting the parts from Chennai. They even do not give numbers of their higher authority so that i could call and ask the real status of my cell phone. It has been over a month now that i have not yet received my cell phone. I really feel cheated and disgusted over the service being provided by the Sony Ericsson Authorized Service Centre. I strongly recommend people not to buy Sony Ericsson handsets because of such a bad service.

        sonyericsson — Please take serious action

        I'm receiving frequent blank calls from Vodafone subscriber... with the following numbers...[protected],
        [protected], [protected], [protected], [protected], [protected], [protected], [protected], [protected], [protected], [protected], [protected].
        Take serious action...
        I bought a new W760i model sony ericsson. Its really good but the very next month I got a problem in it so I gave it for repair in an authorized service centre. All they have to do is just replace the damaged part which will hardly take one hour. But they had my mobile for 19 days and finally got it repaired. I really got annoyed and when I asked them they pointed fingers to their higher authorities who in turn told me that they are not getting the spare parts from sony ericsson on time.I live in chennai which is a metropolitan city, even here they dont get the spare parts on time.I really pity the tier II & III cities and other rural areas. On the whole its a waste of time to go to the authorized service centres of sony ericsson.

        Sony Ericssion G502 Mobile Hand set — torchur by the mobile

        I sri Debasabita Nayak, Cell No-[protected], Balasore Orissa, Purches a Sony Ericssion G502 mobile phone on dated 23.02.2009 but after it received from The Mobile Store in the same day it was found defective so i deposit it to the sony autherised service center on dt.24.02.09 also at sony cost care no[protected] the complain no is SE[protected]. But the service was not prpoer and it was delivered to me on date.16.03.2009 after 19 days.
        But then after 3days it creat another problem and submited again at service center on dt 19.03.2009 and also lodge a complain at cust care, Comp no-SE[protected] but till was not delivered
        so sir what can i do in this time about the carelessness of the company

        i had purchased a cyber shot mobile phone k550i on 4th sep last year..the phone started dropping calls 3 months later.. i had shown the mobile to many service centres and the mobile is with sony ericsson service centre,cunningham road,b'lore for the last 6 months..they have simply killed time and finally they have given me the cell on 8th of sep but now the cell presents with the display problem.please take actions in this regard..they have told that they would repair the phone as a non warranty..thank you..

        This is S.Animesh from Hyderabad and I have purchased Sony Ericsson W580i model on 13/01/2009, mobile is not working properly; I have given mobile to Sony ericsson service center (Accel Frontline Limited Secunderabad. Call no: HYD-SE-271796).After that, they asked me to contact in 2-3 days for status. I tried to reach on their given number but either their phone is Ringing but Not Responding or switched off. So i log a complaint with Sony Ericsson it self to know the handset status. I have been to their office atleast 20 times till date and every time i go the response is you will get it in another ten days. But till today (14/10/2009), I don't know, when i will get my Handset & it's in which status.

        WHEN I RE-STARTED MY PHONE............IT'S DISPLAY IS TURNING OFF FOR 2 MIN AND THEN WORKING..........IT COSTED ME 15,600 . SONY HAD CHEATED ME......
        Its not happened only to you its still continuing with lots of people who ever had this problem and go to the service centre, in my case they have charged the minimum payment of QR/50 if repaired or not this was the minimum chare with them, and coming to the WARANTY they just repair minor problems and if its any major they return it saying its tampered my the user and there is no WARANTY for this. they just wait to chop people who come just finished one year(1YEAR) with there Mob as the Warranty is only for that much time so one they see the completed this period then the ball is with them in the court and its up to them to charge whatever the price they say and will not go much into it for repairing and easily say to change the motherboard so this will solve the entire problem of them where its already the cost of a new one .so now you can understand its nothing else then cheating and get rid of the Warranty and wash out the hands making the customer to suffer the loss and of course a profit for the service centre without bothering about the users problem which cost them so much. For the name there is customer service but this is only a Name sake but in real it’s not customer service but its a customer earners. So its very Important all the mobile users who had gone problems and suffered with their products should put all the hands to gather and go for a legal action with all the complains mention in here, that what I had to say

        I bought ma mobile, sony ericsson c510 from Mobile Store,Trivandrum,Kerala,on october 2009. mmmmmmmmI serviced mthis mobile last month at AccelFrontline, Thycaud,Trivandrum, Kerala. While servicing the mobile, its front panel got damaged from the engineer. They said me that they order anoter panel and would change it. But today more than one month passed. No panel get.         their were some black dots on my screen so i gave it for repair in your p-21,kfc basement, sector 18 noida on 16th feb 2011.

        I was told that the total repair cost will be 2200 hundred rupees. During this their was not even a single call back form the service center people.

        Now today i.e 2-mar-2011, i got a call and told that the phone is repaired and the cost of repair is 3500 rupees.
        so i refuse to pay the 3500 amount as i was earlier told that the repair cost will be 2200.so i asked them to remove the parts which have been changed or repaired.

        now the phone is handed back to me in a dead condition and with a new work order number which is SE[protected].
        so that no one can trace the fraud that the service center people have done it is my mistake that i gave them the original copy that i received early as i refuse to sign it .
        then they gave me this new copy in which i have noticed a new work order number.

        sir/madam please tell me what do i do with my this phone which is not even switching on.
        my entire family is using Sony Erisson phone and we all are so found of your products.
        Even the first phone of my life was a Sony Ericsson that was way back in 2003 . If this is the brand loyalty im getting then im ashamed of my choice.

Then I asked when the handset will get repaired, they are told me that please come after one week. They are giving me really bad services. I tried to give my complaint in Sony Ericsson customer care no[protected] / [protected]; they register my complaint (Complain Number is[protected] and told me that will look in to the matter and will call back in next 48 hrs but still I have not received any call from customer care.

        This set is purchased from a dealer on 30th Dec 2010, and after one week I have faced the problem in that set. More than one month I ll facing the problem without my handset. If they (Sony Ericsson) have repairing my new mobile more than two months then I ll lose my Warranty/Guaranty, in this period I ll not used my cell phone and my Warranty is expires.
        I want the Sony Ericsson either replace my cell phone or extend my warranty.
        The service center people are saying that they are giving my set on 26-March-2011, but again they are saying that in the in the first week of April they are handed over my mobile set.

        I am vishal patel. I have sony ericssion vivaz pro(u8i). I have a problem in handset connection in my phone that's why i gave it to sony ericssion authorize service center (accel frontline) at baroda. My workorder number is SE311ABR11074. Service center engineer told me that my piece will be ready on next day. On next day when i called them to ask that my phone is ready or not? they told me that my phone is ready and i will take it. when i check my phone i have the same problem they didn't take care of my problem for that i given to them. then i talked to one engineer of them he told me that they need to change the main board. And it will take 10 days. today is 15th day and i didn't got my phone. I complained 2 times to company call center and my complaint number is 90465293. call center person told me that they will be talk action in 48 hour. And there is no serious action taken on that.

        I think that company didn't take care of their old customers and their complaints.

        Today i call to customer care and they told me that it will take more 7-10 days. And he is not promised to give me my piece repaired in 7-10 days.
        Because of this bad service i never going to buy sony ericssion phone in future. And i suggest my friends to didn't buy sony ericssion phone for getting this bad service. U can understood that a person purchase 25000- phone and got this type of service what will he fills...
        On 18th june 2011 I have given my X10 mini to your service center in Lajpat Nagar, New Delhi to repair my touch screen because of sum liquid damage and they assured me to repair it in 1 week, but its been more than 2 months i havent recieved my phone. The behaviour of the people is rude and very casual towards their work .They said due to some problem in the internet connection my work order number is not been generated.

        I have complaint the same to your Helpline on 3rd August (Ticket no[protected] and they were suppose to call me back in 48 working hours and its been a week i havnt got any response from them either. I have called them 6-7 times but still they are not responding to my complaint.I have also mailed them on 10th August (Ticket no[protected] and they just responded to my mail once, when i call on the helpline for the status they aasure me to call back and till date i havent received any reponse from there side.

        I brought a Sony Ericsson CK15i mobile on 21st august 2011 at Sangeetha mobile in Mysore. As soon as i brought the phone there was lot of trouble with it. It got hanged because of the so many glitches in the software of the phone. After the few days the screen went blank all of a sudden. Then i went to Sunshine Communications a authorized sony ericsson service center 0n 17/01/12 with the copy of my warranty in Mysore. They said that the display was damaged because of water entering into the phone and they can not replace the display with warranty. I know for sure that 'I HAVE NEVER TAKEN MY PHONE NEAR ANY WATER', but then also i said its okay i will pay the money please change it. The next time i go there that is after a week because they did not even bother to call me ans update me about status of my phone, they say that i have also damaged the slider assembly. The slider assembly is the internal part of the mobile which can be never meddled by the consumer. Then also as i need the phone quickly i said want my phone back, i told them to change that also. Again then afte a week i went to check up on my phone the manger (the name i don't know) harasses me by shouting at and and asking me "how many times do you come for the phone?" fed up with him i ask for the phone back and take to another Authorized sony ericsson service center called punith communications. There the people find some of the screws of my phones missing. After a week or so i cancelled the repair of the phone and took it back.

        I have been harassed by these people mentally for almost a month. when i call up Sony Ericsson India service center there is no response from them.

        I request you help me get the compensation from these company for the torture that they have put e through.
        I bought a new sony ericsson spiro on nov 2011 for my mom and them had 2 go to chennai for few months. My mom mentioned that the phone started giving problems from the second month itself. The phone hangs very often, also sometimes few buttons stop working and also sometimes the phone automatically shuts off. To fix these problems my mom needs to reseat the battery and them turn no the phone once again. The phone gave problems when it was required the most.                 I got a very bad experience through sony ericsson company service. Very worst service after sales from Sony ericsson company.
                I bought a Sony ericsson J20i and I use only 8 months. When i was using it, many times it gave hanging trouble. That time I removed the battery and reinsert the same and swich on the phone..
                Recently Blue tooth gave some problem .I was unable to send and recieve via bluethooth.
                I went to Chennai service centre and gave the mobile, they thoroughly checked and told me that there is some problem in the circuit board.. They asked me one week time for the ECB replacement.. I agreed and gave the mobile for board replacement...Nearly 26 days gone...I contacted over phone every day with the service centre and they said every day that the board is not received from the company... and also they said that they cannot say the delivery date of my mobile. Whts going on in the company.. I cant understand why the sony ericsson company is not giving good service their products.
                If we try to make or mail to some higher of the company there is no phone numbers email id's of the higher officials. Customer care people of the company who they are not giving proper response and they denied to give the higher officials email id's and phone number.. I had strong and good opinion about sony ericsson products.. But I changed the confidence about that company... This is my second experience with the company,
                So far my mobile is under service past 26 days...

                Sony Ericsson — Worst Experience Sony Ericsson

                Hi,

                With reference to above mentioned subject I would like to bring to the notice of all the consumers regarding the worst quality of Service Centres tha Sony ericsson holds in the city of Hyderabad.
                I have W 300i phone - which has the problem of improper display screen. The person at Ameerpet Service Centre says please visit Secunderabad service centre.The person at secunderabad service centre says plugs and strips are to be replaced which are suppose to come from bangalore and may take 20 days. I asked him to take the phone and give me a receipt of the same which he denied saying that they will not keep things pending at their end. The service centre staff are least bothered about the concerns of customers. I have roamed all the day, wasted lot of time and transport charges as well but the result is nill. At last I have decided that I should never go for a Supplier who has got such poor customer service.
                Sony should buy 100% of ericsson and get rid of the cheap bad name. I brought the x1 xperia from Greece and it doesent type Greek. So i have to send msgs in english!!!

                also i cant get my money back!

                Sony Ericsson Mobile users its been said that lot of fraud products are available through out the world and specially in middle east, since the product is expensive duplicates are so much in market that the customers who have bought the products are in great loss and trouble, More over the service centre are not interested in servicing the products saying reasons that its tampered or miss used and reject in replacing or getting it repaired to. them even though it has WARRANTY .they also seems to be rude and not interested in look at the matter of the customers what they suffer with, the product seems to be expensive comparing to other mobiles and even the accessories like charger, Bluetooth, memory card etc which is not common is very expensive. The service centre take advantages of the buyers when they go to them for service the say a minimum of 50 US dollars charged what ever the condition may be its repaired or not.                 This is Ashish here. I purchased your cellphone W205 in 2009. Since I purchased the cell phone, I purchased a tension and problems from you. Since I purchased , I submitted 5 times to your service center.
                I was troubled whole year but could not submitted due to some me needs of phone for whole year.
                I knew that your service centers and customer care services are worst in the world. Really torturing and frustating service and response.
                Last time I submitted, my phone screen was broken by your service center. My phone body was also completely changed and it was in worst condition. But due to my needs and recovered it from you but not satisfied. So rude behavior from you also troubles us. I sent a number of mails also to you but did not get response. I tried to contact to your customer care but no response.
                I asked for replacement but your department to department game started and no response again.

                Dear Sir/ Madam,

                I am writing to inform you about the faulty mobile phone that I have purchased in your store.

                I am Amit Kumar Pradhan, a regular customer of your company. On the 5th of October, I bought a brand Sony Erricsson Spiro 100i mobile. However, on the next day o[censored]sing it,i encountered with some of the bellow mentioned problems.

                1.Automatically got restarted, and hang
                2.Error message:message memory full
                3.low batery back up

                I was very surprised to discover such problems in a quite model.
                Naturally, I took the mobile phone to the store to be replaced with a new one.They said lets reset the phone to factory setteing.it will resolv the issue. and eventually it did not help. then they said me to take the phone to service center as because it is just an issue of software update. Again to my surprise it was mother board issue n they asked for 5 working days to repair. after few argument with the phone supplier and the HOT Spot mobile shop, they primised me to give a new phone but they took 7 days and gave me the same phone ofcourse replacing with a new motherboard. Deliberately i did not object for receiving the same old phone. because my sole concern was that the mobile should work properly

                Again after two days the issues reappeared, i took the phone to store. they again said it was a software issue. but as to my expectation it is the mother board issue again. Now they are asking for 5 more days.which i do not want to give.So far i did whatever was said to me very cordially and as a ideal customer.

                In this regard, I insist on getting a refund of my full payment otherwise please contact me immediately on my number.

                I bought a Sony Ericson W20, Xylo mobile at Anjul Impex. There is a display problem after 5months. I have taken to a Sony service center at Nellore, They charged 1000 rupees and Still the same problem persists. The service center at Ghaziabad also irresponsible. What should I do.
                A humble request to Sony Ericson, Don't cheat people for money, being such a bing brand/Organisation. It's a shame on your part. I also bought one more W1001 at Chirala. It also has the same display problem.

                  Sony digital camera new battery np fg1 faulty

                  I purchased a camera of sony in dec 2008 which has 3 years of warranty. My battery which is np bg1 which I a bundled battery is not working. When I asked to cce on 22nd nov 2010 and he asked me that I have to purchase a new battery. I purchased a new battery np fg1 on 01st jan 2011 worth rs. 2500/-. No one confirmed me that it has no warranty...

                  I shooted only 72 snaps and charged it once. Now my battery is not charging and not working. When I complaint this again in customer care then he asked me that is no warranty. You have to purchase a new battery again.

                  I forward a email to sony and got a call. He asked me that in case of bundled battery we can replace the battery and in case of seperate battery we can't.

                  Now they are refusing to replace the bundled battery also.

                  Kindly help me as it costs me 2500/- For 72 snaps.

                    i had bought a sony ericsson mobile handset ,model vivaz pro, from the mobile store in guwahati in september 12th,2010, for my daughters birthday. By december the handset was not getting charged and so i returned it to the mobile store as the warranty cover was for one year. they gave it to the local sony ericsson service center and returned the set to me on 16th january 2011. however the same problem arose in two days and i went back to the mobile store where i came to know that the ide and mother board was changed. i then went to the sony ericsson service center and they said they will have to again change the circuit board and kept the mobile. they finally returned it to the mobile store in febuary end and i was called to collect it. but within one hour the mobile store salesman called to say the mobile is not working much to my frustration. this time the service center of sony ericcson had shifted to a new location and the mobile was given to them by the mobile store. it is now more than five months and the service center keeps saying the necessary part has not arrived. i e-mailed sony erricson with the problem and they apologised and promised to look into the problem but nothing has happened to date . i then contacted Mr Niloy Ganguly , regional head of sony ericsson who rarely takes the calls, but finally when he took the call he promised to look into the matter saying he will call back. however he never bothered to do anything and doesnt take my calls or respond to my messages. I AM WAITING FIVE MONTHS FOR THE REPAIR OF MY MOBILE WHICH COST ME 21,OOO RUPEES BUT ALL I GET FROM A REPUTED COMPANY LIKE SONY ERICSSON IS A CALLOUS ATTITUDE AND INEFFICIENCY . KINDLY HELP IN THIS MATTER.

                      My name is Alok Bharat Dand and I had purchased a Sony Ericsson Aspen mobile phone on 08-Jan-2011 from Mobile Store, Sion, Mumbai. The product is really good and I was happy with it. But from past one month or so i.e. from March I started facing problem in the product. I was not able to charge it properly nor I was able to transfer any data via USB connection from my PC. So on 07-May-2011 I took the cell phone to SAP Mobile Service Centre, Dadar, Mumbai which is the authorized service center for Sony Ericsson mobile phones. The folks over there initially did not find any problems with it but eventually after showing them the problem real time they agreed to take it and repair it. As per them the charging point was faulty and so they said they will change it. When I asked them when would I get back my cell phone, they said me to check in a week's time. So today, 14-May-2011 I again thought to call them and check with them if my cell phone was repaired. From morning till noon I kept on calling them but they did not pick up the call. Eventually I thought of visiting the ceter on my own and try my luck if my cell phone was repaired. But when I reached there I came to know that my cell phone has not yet been repaired and they are not sure on when will it be ready. When I asked them why no one was picking up my call since morning, they did not had any reply to it. It is really frustrating to travel so long in hot summer climate just to know that your aim of travelling has failed. I have been using Nokia mobile phones since 2002 and this is first time I thought of buying Sony Ericsson mobile phone for a change. But now I feel that I made a wrong choice. Never in my life I have submitted any Nokia mobile phone for repairing within 4 months of its purchase. Though I have launched a complaint about this in the Sony Ericsson Support Center and they have told me that withing 48 working hours they will be able to provide me some status on my cell phone. So lets hope I get some positive reponse from them.
                      Update on the complaint is that I called up Sony Ericsson Support Center today and they said I would MOST PROBABLY getting my mobile phone on 26-May-2011. That too I won't be called, I will have to again call them and ask if I can get the mobile phone or not. Lets hope they keep their promise. Fingers crossed.
                      Some more update. Today I called up Sony Ericsson Support Center and they told me that I still need to wait for one more week. When asked why, they said the motherboard is faulty in the cell phone which needs replacement and so the hardware needs to be imported from outside India which takes time. I asked them to replace the mobile phone itself as its already under warranty. But they said they will only replace it if it cannot be repaired.

                      I then called up the Sony Ericsson Service Center. Luckily after around 6-7 attempts, they picked up the call and answered. The lady on the phone was bit rude and said the mobile phone should be ready by coming Wednesday which is 01-Jun-2011. After going into a debate and scolding them, I disconnected the call.

                      I have decided that if I don't get my mobile phone by Wednesday, I will be filling a case in the Consumer Court's Parel branch.

                        IN last year end we buy two Sony Ericsson Zylo W20 handsets....After month one by one stop working....Then we go to customer care in Ludhiana....They said that there is problem in the part(Flexi) in all handsets of zylo w20...and they ask us to left the handsets with them for 20 days....Finnally after month we get back....

                        And now the problem is arisinsg again and Camera Clarity is very poor comparable to my old sonyericsson mobile which is 2 mp.......Every picture you capture will blur....

                        From nest time i am not gonna buy any sony product....
                        Even i was thiking to buy a sony digi cam....but i wil think 100 times while chossing sony ericsson....

                          I purchased Sony LCD Bravia 32" in September 2009, In May 2011 TV Colors got some redishness , I have complaint the same to Sony Customer care ( complaint number[protected]and according the local deal technician of noida sec-2 , TV has some mother board problem and they can repair the same in 700 rupees other wise they will replace the TV in 7000 Rupees , till now after 10 days no problem has been solved from Sony side , We are working coup and watch TV hardly after return from work at 9 that also if worth watching programme. In 1.5 years time a brand like Sony motherboard is dead. how can a brand like sony can solve the problems like this ? Could please explain how can a sony like brand tv could be dead in a year and provide such kind of pathetic services with now follow up from sony service center ...................

                              An Xperia X10i Sony Ericsson mobile was purchased from mobile stop, bhubaneswar, orissa on 07/06/2010. Charging problem developed with charger not connecting and the mobile was handed over to RT Outsourcing, Jharkhand, L-2A, LG-II, City Centre, Club Road, Ranchi on 27.12.2010 under work order no.SE310RTJ11605. After visiting many times at the service centre and e-mails to sony ericsson support centre the mobile was handed back on 01/02/2011 after more than two months. They changed the mobile mother board. The mobile IMEI Sr. No [protected] was changed to IMEI Sr. No.[protected].
                              When I took the mobile another problem started as it switched off every time when I operated. As I was out of station so I rang up the service centre and told them the problem. They replied we will install the software again and it will work. When I came back to ranchi I handed over the mobile to Accel Frontline Ranchi on 01/04/2011 under work order no.SE311ARN10060. Till date the mobile has not been returned after repair inspite of many reminders. One year warranty has been given which is being wasted as most of the time it is lying with the service centre. Besides mental agony I'm facing financial loss also as it was useful in my business transactions.

                                I was purchased Sony Ericsson W100i model in Feb 2011. I was not working properly. The problem which I had facing by using this phone was:
                                1) Hanging
                                2) While sending SMS, it says “Out Of Memory”
                                3) Automatic restart while making call
                                I submitted my mobile hand set to Sony service center trice. But there is no use. Almost all mobile users using this model were facing the same problems. So please tell me how take necessary action or how to replace my mobile with any other model. Its waste of my time by submitting my mobile this many time to Service Center.

                                  in the month of Aug 2010. since the day of purchase the handset lies in the service centre of Sony Ericsson. Such a third class company. i have never seen in my life. Top to bottom the management is shameless. Service manager big lier. below are the copies of communication i sent to them by email and their service manager revert. He told me the handset is having a problem they will give me a replacement. i told them for my money back or to give a new model xperia arc i i was read to give the diffrential what soever they refused they said we will give the new handset of the same model. i told them i want a box pack piece they refused again. I told them i will go to conumer court. they are not bothered for that also and nobody from the top management also bothered to revert.
                                  Tommorow i visited their service centre for the replacemnt they told they will not give they have repaired the handset this is a menatal harrasment to its customers. i told them that top managment has agreed for a replacement they told no we have repaired the unit.

                                  Its shameful. please help. they are such shamefull guys dont listen to its customers and dont affraid of consumer court also.

                                  I have purchased Sony Xperia X10 few month back. I have noticed a problem in hand set after few days as it gets off itself if the internet was connected. I have consulted the Customer Service at Aundh, Pune for the problem and here is the story afterwards.
                                  After upgrading the phone 2 times the engineer still didn't understood the problem with the phone and he asked me to take it back as he was not ready to submit for repair. After having a heated argument, he inform that I have to go to main service center to submit it. Once the phone was submitted and after lots of argument they agreed that there is some build in defect in the phone. Since then I am following about the phone and received no response about the real cause and what they have done to repair it.
                                  On top of that on a argument over the phone Customer Service executive hung up the phone in between with all the rudeness in talking.

                                  My question to Sony is that the way you put the money in the advertisement, please put some money in hiring the literate Customer Executives and making reliable goods or else don't expect Consumer to go and buy your products. I'll make sure from my end that I can put my words over to as many people as possible about the kind of product you make and the way your people behave so that people are aware about the real face of this company.

( sorry, but i dont have thatjob sheetnumber)

                                    On 11th april, they gave me the phone again it worked for hour or 2 and then started giving more problem, the phone was not working and the problem was not same anymore now the phone is not charging, its getting hot while plugging in the charger and theSimcard missing not showing.
                                    On 13th april i was given another job sheet number SE311AJP10511(job sheet copy attached)saying the phone will be replaced bcos the problems kept on piling with battery issue, charger issue, phone getting warm, sim notreadable, and so many visit to service centre the phone was full of scratches which had not a single scratch.

                                    now till date thats been almost 16 days i have been in regular touch on mobile as theland linephone is never picked.

                                    and for me if i am using a phone worth rs 24000 and going to servicecenternow and then, its ridiculous on part of such big company to harass a customer. for me i will never useSonyphone again in my life.

                                    i would be highly thank full if you solve this case.

                                      I have purchased Xperia X10i with bill. From the time i purchased it kept on restart while doing multi task activities and more often while putting on charging. Due to severe requirements of smartphone i have spare almost 6 months with a way it behaves and at one day the problem became severe as network went off suddenly and it kept on restart million times a day which meant that now device is of no use. I approach the Sony Ericsson's service center located at Shivranjini store and asked them to get the things fixed as handset is still under warranty period. I have explained entire issues in their job sheet. They took the handset and kept under their custody near about for 10 days then while i call them to know the status they replied that my handset is fine now so i can collect it from their service center. I went and took the device but unfortunately when went back home and started the device the problems remain the same and after couple of days again network went off. I went at service center again and asked them to provide replacement of handset as it's of no use after your prior repair also. They took my request and sent the device again in repair. It's been 15 days so far and still no status has been provided from their end. While calling their toll free help line it constantly busy and sometime if it connects then no answer at all which is pathetic customer service from Sony Ericsson. When approach their other number customer service executive doesn't have any answer at all and told me to transfer line to senior but didn't happened it as call went on hold for a long time and no so called seniors have been connected untill i disconnect the line. I've purchased the handset from Sony Ericsson excpecting nice products but didn't knew about such a worst service part other wise never ever look at this poor company. It's already half a month without my worth 25k handset because of great Sony Ericsson people. Their service center guy accepted that there's an issue with device and hence it'll get replaced or else mother board will get changed at last. Even issue is known still i dont know why they are taking so much time in providing my handset back. Probably they are giving customer's handset on rent till the time customer won't approach them and feeling pain in the ! I've been in constant touch with Sony Ericsson service center since last couple of month just to resolved my handset problem but still no result. I don't know by what time they provide my handset back probably once the warranty gets over so that it'll not bounced back on their face. poor company with worst kind of service having no higher authority contacts details or contact point anywhere.

                                      Sony Ericsson / Xperia X10i — malfunction of device from day 1 of purchase

                                      From the first day of purchase in Feb 2011, my phone is having problems. When the phone is syncing data or surfing internet, the voice calls are not reachable and I am not in the metwork. Nobody can reach me on voice calls.
                                      Twice I went to service center, they reflashed the software and told problem is solved. But problem persists.
                                      The is no response to my frequent complaints.
                                      I want to return the phone and get a refund.

                                      I HAD PURCHASED ONE XPERIA X-10 IN DEC 10.SINCE THEN THIS PHONE IS SHWOING PROBLEMS.IT HAS BATTERY BACKUP PROBLEM AS WELL AS CONNECTIVITY ERROR FOR CALLERS (SHOWING PHONE NOT AVIALABLE).
                                      MANY TIMES VISITED SERVICE CENTER AND THEY UPDATED THE SOFTWARE OF HANDSET BY SAYING THAT NOW PROBLEM IS REOLVED. BUT NOTHING HAPPENS. EVEN REPALCED THE BATTERY WITH NEW ONE, BUT PROBLEM IS CONTINUEING.
                                      NOW THEY ARE SAYING THAT ITS MOTHERBOARD WILL HAVE TO BE CHANGED.

                                      XPERIA X-10 — FAULTY HANDSENT

                                      I HAD PURCHASED ONE XPERIA X-10 IN DEC 10.SINCE THEN THIS PHONE IS SHWOING PROBLEMS.IT HAS BATTERY BACKUP PROBLEM AS WELL AS CONNECTIVITY ERROR FOR CALLERS (SHOWING PHONE NOT AVIALABLE).
                                      MANY TIMES VISITED SERVICE CENTER AND THEY UPDATED THE SOFTWARE OF HANDSET BY SAYING THAT NOW PROBLEM IS REOLVED. BUT NOTHING HAPPENS. EVEN REPALCED THE BATTERY WITH NEW ONE, BUT PROBLEM IS CONTINUEING.
                                      NOW THEY ARE SAYING THAT ITS MOTHERBOARD WILL HAVE TO BE CHANGED.

                                      BUT WHY THIS HAS TO BE CHANGED, AS PHONE WAS FAULTED SINCE PURCAHSE, SO IT SHOULD BE REPLACED WITH THE NEW ONE.

                                        I am Bidyut Maitra live at Padma Police Housing Qtr No-H/5. P.O.-Berhampore Dist-Murshidabad Pin-742101 West Bengal (Mobile:[protected]) .I was purchased my sonyericsson mobile (Model:J105i phone(Vapour Silver),IMEI:[protected] on 16/07/2010 from KUNDU ENTERPRISE (A-4,INDIRA SUPER MARKET BERHAMPORE MURSHIDABAD,MOBILE:[protected]). After a month i was faced a problem at the time of incoming and outgoing call. I could not listen any voice and vice versa and then contact with the shop and the salesperson Mr Sudipto (Mobile:[protected]) for servicing. After that Mr. Sudipto took my phone for servicing. After a week when i called him, he told me about the replacement of motherbord of that phone. As the insuffecient of new motherbord of that servicing centre he want to take time for solving that problem. At last I got my hand set. Again I faced this proble and sent it to that service centre. But when I got back my mobile, i faced again that proble. That is why I am demanding to that company to replace my phone. But till date they can't give me any solution or advice.
                                        I have no more money. I was purchased it Rs-6350. Till now it is in warrenty period. But they can't solute it.

                                        So I request to you, please fell me and give the right way.
