Hello,

Greetings!

I Santosh here by would like to notic one major problem I am suffering due to negligence of your so called official Sony service center here in Mumbai India.

I have bought Sony Erricson K550i on 30th may 08, to my surprise it suddenly went switched off on 25th Nov 08. It was working normally and suddenly that day it went switched off.

As I had all trust in Sony so I dint panic much, as I thought it would be get fixed in a day or two as it was under warranty period.

I am sorry to say, but till I am waiting for my cell phone to get it fixed, its still there in your so called service center since 2nd dec08.

I am using my friends cell phone, Please I hope after this mail you will take some necessary action and wont let me down further.

    I bought Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W35/W55 one year back. It stopped working sometime back. Called Sony Service Centre and they wanted 7000 INR to fix it. I got irritated and promised myself to not to buy Sony products anymore. Poor product, poor quality and WORST service.
    We purchased a sony cyber shot camara for our corporate purpose. Model number DSC-W120, date of purchase 22/12/2008. The Same Day we found the dead pixel on LCD Screen. We approached a nearby sony authorized service centre SONY INDIA PVT LTD. # 768, 100ft Road Indiara Nagar Bangalore. On 27th of Dec 2008 Log Information No[protected]. Hardly used for 1 hour Firstly, the manager Mr. Dilip started claiming that the warranty no more stands as the Dead Pixel we will service the camera . A camera which you bought and not used for 1 hour and some body says that we will open it and service and give you the same how will you feel after paying a huge money on Rs 10, 000 that to a branded product like sony. If that was a case we can buy a local camera from market at least we get exchange. Over all in this bad experience we somehow developed a bad taste for such a big brand. We requested them for replacing the camera because it was new and hardly used it they refused saying that noooooooooooooo we can’t they asked me to speak to delhi call centre which I did Mrs Priyanka from delhi call centre promised sir I will give you a call till dated no body respond to my calls and no one is giving proper response. So I decided not to buy any sony product and inform all my colleagues friends not to buy sony any more. It’s a Waste brand its my personal request to all those who are reading don’t buy any sony product the company is not supportive after sales. The total team members are absolutely rude and illmannered in that particular location. we need a valuable justification from your end

    yeah, i got this cam as a gift. i've worked as portrait photographer so i'm familiar with getting the most out of a camera. now i understand this is a point and shoot cam so you can only expect so much but wow, was i disappointed, especially when i heard what it cost.
    the design is difficult to handle. actually too slim. yes you can carry it easy but i don't trust handling it without having the lanyard cord around my wrist. the display smudges easy so has hard time recognizing your touch. apparently they come with a pen which i must have tossed, but regardless i think using it defeats the purpose anyway. the lens is so small that it requires alot of light to take any decent pictures. when light levels are low it is nearly impossible to take a steady picture. you have to have rock solid steadiness. none of the pre-sets really help this. i filled my card with images at a concert and ALL of them were garbage (i used every setting possible)! my camera vibrates when i turn it on. only way to stop this is to turn it upside down then bak upright. no idea what this is all about?? i never dropped it or anything. from case to hand, that's it. on that note, if i turn it sideways, it vibrates then to, so every pic is REALLY blurred naturally. the cam says the card is full even after i clear it on the cam itself AND on my laptop. never heard of this happening either and i have delt with numerous mem card issues while working in photo lab. so honestly, i think this camera is an over priced POS.
    poor design and terrible technical issues!!! may be fine for someone who just takes snap shots but even then, i see no redeeming value to this thing. i would NOT recommend this cam to ANYONE!!!
    i would go for a low end SLR over this any day! a bulky cam is much easier to handle and much more likely to take better pictures (even with fewer MP) and will prob have less tech issues.
    this thing is GARBAGE!

      Hello sir, i am surya doing my third year engg in sathyamangalam.My native is kumbakonam.I am now having sony ericsson W302 and i bought this on 01.12.2008 only.On the very next day my cell started to hang frequently.My father is having W810i, i was having W 200i and so i liked the quality of sony ericsson.I took this cell as it is attractive.I gave for service in kumbakonam.They are saying that there is problem in network card and this would take more than 15 days.How can I be without cell for such a long time?More over i gave to service to reduce the hanging problem.Even after service the problem continues.I am not at all satisfied with the service.Pls do me favour of replacing my mobile soon.

      I am S.Surya doind my 3rd year civil engg in sathyamangalam, but my native is kumbakonam.I bought SONY ERICSSON W302 on 01.12.2008.From the very next day it is a big problem for me with that phone.It started hanging very frequently.I gave for service in my home town itself.They said that there is problem in NETWORK CARD and it would take more than 15 days to replace that.How can i be without cell for such a long time?I need my phone replaced immediately as its not even one month since i bought the phone.I had SONY ERICSSON W200i and my dad is having W810i and so i was impressed with the quality of the company.I need the phone replaced as soon as possible.

      Sony Ericsson W302 — deficency in service and replacement of handset

      I purchased the mobile(W302) on[protected] from Agra's Big Bazar and since then i am facing problems of frequent hang ups, automatic restarting of the phone and no network time to time which disturbs my communication badly as it bars both my calls and messages making my life miserable. Thrice my mobile has been repaired by authorised service center in past 3 months, still problem pertains. I contatced the sony ericsson's customer care service, again they are asking me to deposit my handset with them. It taken them on an average 15 days to return my handset back. Till that time i have to suffer. No proper response is given by sony ericsson to me for Why this problem is occurring again and again.
      Complaints faced more than frequently:
      Specifically for my mobile:
      1. Gets hung
      2. Gets switched off but turns back on only at its will
      3. Network goes on & off which proved seamless with other sets with same SIM
      Generally faced for this model (i believe):
      1. Terrifically disappointing sound effect tarnishing the image of Sony ericson
      2. Poor technology to draft a message
      3. Messy key pads

      I bought this on January 1st 2009 for RS.7600/-. I started realizing all the above problems right from the third day of purchase. I struggled and suffered all these days and i met a few guys with same trouble and they too were cursing the company which must not be happening.
      Let it not do wonders for what i paid (though it does not do justice for money) but i expect it at least to satisfy the purpose of a cell phone!

      I had approached the dealer (S V communications, East end circle, J P Nagar 3rd Phase, next to HDFC ATM, Bangalore-76) the very next week. This guy directed me to the service centre (the very next week of the purchase of a brand new cell!) and coldly offered an exchange with any other cell. And the value of this one was fixed at 3000.00 on the next week and was describing sheepishly about the short comings and drastically falling price of W302.

      Is sony ericson going to dwell on with just doing poor service on this phone to keep the mouths shut? (like just changing the speaker or changing battery which never helps but was done for my friends who are using the same model)
      Why don't they accept the mistake and compensate which will only add on to their professional ethics. This is nothing less than NEGATIVE MARKETING.
      I expect Sony ericson to compensate for this or replace with another set (of course not the same).

      Sony Reicssion W302 — Bad Service

      i bought my sony ericssion W302 6 months back.but from the last month i had a problem in battery bacjup problem,so i gave the mobile for service,but after servicing i am facing so many proble .i service my cell at accel service center in madurai.my battery backup is also not good,momery card accessing time is long,un recongnized language setup.............

            Hi,

            I bought K530i from bigbazar in the month of July 2008.
            after 4months in nov the USB is not working.and its not connecting to comupter. i have taken to Excel service center which is in bangarahills. first they asked me to come back after 2days. i left my mobile with them to rectify problem and fix it.

            after 2days they said IC which is functoing for usb is not working, they said they will replace the IC, but they are not clear will it works after that? then after a week they said PCB has to replace. since there is problem in PCB. ...how come sony ericssion manufacturing/using such a cheap or durty PCB's. they said again a month. i called them after a month. they said you got it sir you can take your mobile.
            happly after a month struggle i came to service center and taken the mobile...the mobile outer body is with scrathes and the black paint is gone. when i asked they simply say we don't know...such a rude people!!!
            this sat'day20th Dec 2008 i have taken my mobile. the next day i inserted SIM and trying to use...it worked 6hr well, ...i was getting call and i tried to answer it, suddenly it got hanged and i couldn't do anything so i switched off the mobile and then i tried to switched on ...
            the screen is blank...

            is it a good service...the sony ericssion is cheating the people...its a new pcb replaced with IMEI: [protected].

            so any one pls help how to come out of this problem...now i can't use that and don't want to go agian and again to service centers...

                Sony Ericsson mobile / w580 — Sony Ericsson mobile / w580 s/w problem

                i bought a brand new Sony Ericcson mobile / w580i mobile in chennai, after i purchased there are so much of software problems i encountered in this, as i am also in th IT field i cant able to compromise this defects, how the QA of the product succeeded, it very bad
                following are the some the faults i discovered
                1. There is a crack in the key pad vertically. I.e. cracks in button numbered 1, 4, and 7. Now 2, 5, and 8 buttons also got mild crack but while purchasing the key pad was good. But after using couple of months the key pad get crack.
                2. The color of round navigation button is started to loose its original color and become faded.
                3. Some times while I’m getting incoming calls, there is no ring tone sound coming from my mobile even though the ringing volume is 8. But in display it’s showing the caller name, answer, busy all. But I’m not hearing any sound. If I switch off and switch on again then the mobile phone is working good.
                4. While making outgoing call I’m not hearing ring tone sound and voice from the other end. While not hearing both I noticed that in display at left bottom end I’m seeing the text speaker off even though I have not switched on the speaker and not hearing any sounds from the speaker. But from the other end they are hearing my voice. Because of this I’m loosing my pre paid balance often. But after the call attends from the other end call timer in my mobile is running. But I’m not hearing any thing. If I switch off and switch on the mobile then its working good.
                5. In some times if dialed a mobile number and if I press call button then also the mobile is not responding to make the call. After 5 to 10 seconds only the phone is calling that number. When ever I’m facing this problem I’m getting problem number 4.
                6. After disconnecting an incoming call at the right side of the screen immediately the menu is highlighted (selected) automatically but I’m not seeing any menu on the screen. If I press any other button then the highlight from menu is removing and again if I press menu then I’m seeing menus.
                7. While charging battery if I disconnects charging while the battery back up was 96%, if I checks the battery backup immediately its showing 100% battery backup. How the remaining 4% empty is filled up automatically?
                8. While checking the battery back up after some time its showing 90%, checking again after some time its showing 89% after some time if I check it should show 88% or less then that, but its showing 92% or 95%. How this is possible? Is the mobile getting charged automatically? Lol. (The battery backup status is increasing and decreasing automatically).


                I was really disappointed with my mobile. Please give me suggestion for these problems. If some one asks about w580i I’m answering them as “worst model I have ever seen in SE”. Due to problem like this, my parents scolding me that I have wasted their money. I can’t wait much I want a positive reply from you.

                *Note - I’m getting the 3rd 4th 5th and 6th problem once in two or three days.
                *Note - I’m getting 7th and 8th problem often.
                i have got the same problems with my mobile i got it for xmas in 2007 by febuary all my buttons had cracked and my speckers wer not working propally also ther is a fault with my the screen on my phone only half of the screen i can see the bottem half is just black also my sister got this phone this xmas and hers if fine up to yet i advise nobody to buy this phone its ok for a cupple of months and then its particaly useless

                I lost my Sony Ericsson W580i mobile on 27th July 09.I know the IMEI number.Is there some way I can block the handset?I have blocked the sim card already am going to lodge a police complaint.

                I gave my mobile for repairing there was only a small damage in my cell. it was just malfunctioning. there was a software problem and nothing else. my mobile was in good condition no sractch as if it looks like a new piece. cuz i have used it so nicesly. he asked me to come after 1 day but he didnt gave my cell giving me excuses.after 2 days again he gave me time, come after 2 days. i doubt on him that he has lost my cell nad my doubt was right finally he said ur cell is missed placed, i said then search it and give me.he was behaving so rudly sir, so went to police and asked police to take my complaint but they said we dont take such small complaint after requesting them one constable came with us. in front of that police that shopkepper says i have lost his cell, then i said give me new one, he says no i cant give new.till date he is giving me time after time but not my cell. police is also cant do any thing i went to police 2-3 time but they all r his friend where should i go what should i do.he is MNS member thats y he is acting like this, my mobile was sony erriccsion w580i and i gave him on 24th august 2009.but he is not giving it back please sir help me. my cell no is [protected]

                  i purchased this walkman of made in china sok-nwz-b133f(b) mfg 2008-09 s/l no: 7099438 for rs.2590/- on 12.12.08 from sona ventures, sony show room at Raipur (chhatisgarh).

                  It was mentioned that about 70 minutes are sufficient to charge the set completely, but i find that even after 4 hrs. it is still charging and then i see, it is 75% charged.

                  Please change the set for this problem.

                      Hi all,

                      I purchased W302 serial no:[protected] on 13/12/2008 in Mobile Store, Thandiarpet, chennai, India.

                      Problems I come across of that

                      1. We charged more than 8 hrs as per the store instructor, but it doesnt charge.
                      2. Loud Noise during talk, Mic problem I suppose
                      3. Incoming Ringtone not audible, Cant even hear someone called

                      I didnt check other features of that, Still may be more.

                      I argued with mobile store for replacement the other day of purchase, but in vein.
                      I gave my W302 to Accel Frontline Global IT service, Greams Road, Receipt no: 806852 on 15/12/2008 for replacement, but argued and taken for service.

                      Accel Frontline persons told me they are not supposed to replace, they will observe and identify the problem, report this to sony. Is that true.

                      I am really worried about my 6 day old and 1 day old used mobile. Here in Accel anytime they are saying server down and not entried. This is not customer issue and service is very poor.

                      And I came to know that service centers are replacing old parts in that. I dont wanna use old mobile, for that i can go for 2nd hand model or any korean set.

                      Finally I need a new w302 replacement, What is the procedure.

                      So many of them are suffering like this and In my family circle itself I am the 3rd victim, So please dont buy any costly models as they are not manufactured properly.

                      1) Neither themes were supported on my mobile
                      2) Very low ring volume
                      3) They didn't gave the installation disc.
                      4) compared to other sony ericsson mobiles the processing is very slow in case of this w302.

                      If find the solution please inform to my email address.
                      W302 has several problems:
                      1. It hangs frequently if you are operating in an area where network coverage is low
                      2. It often goes No Network. You have to restart it to get the n/w back.
                      3. Display corrupts and phone crashes at times
                      4. Number keys stop working at times!!
                      5. Speaker-phone voice quality and volume is very low.
                      6. Messes up the dialing at times by dialing wrong number.
                      while purchasing any phone you should see its features
                      w302 doesn't have many features
                      1.applying themes
                      2.low sound output
                      3.low voice quality
                      good thing is that its looks are great, fantastic finishing work, many o[censored]s might not be knowing even i came through sources that it took 2 yrs to make its body(designing part) it was a custom design specially designed for an expensive model it took 850000 SEK approx india's 50, 00, 000 RS.
                      because of the heavily designed model the cost became expensive.
                      i think its a grt phone designed by a grt engineer.

                        I have bought this sony phone on Nov 15, 2008 from X-CITE store located at Ambavadi, Ahmedabad.

                        I have noticed that the phone is defective. The screen has 2 dead pixels and the camera takes pictures (but with glare).

                        X-Cite is not taking this defective piece back, no refunds or exchanges.

                        I went to this service station today around 5 pm and they took the phone and the complain. everything else on the phone was working fine, the only problem was the dead pixels on the screen, they gave the phone back to me in 1 hour and said they have replaced the LCD, which I felt was true. But now the key pad is not working completely, I think they have the worst technician in the world doing this job. key no. 5 is not working and volume control is not working. I have spent Rs. 11150 for this phone and gave 2 hours of my time and time to write you this and commute to the sony authorized service station. There is absolutely no professional people at your service station starting with their counter staff to their technician.

                        Please replace this phone with a brand new piece or issue me full refund. After spending Rs. 11150 on this phone and it is brand new piece, why I have to go through this problems everyday.

                          Do you think that you have replied to the actual query asked by me.

                          As per the mail sent by me, i had asked about my Cell status and not about my handsfree.

                          Today i called service centre for knowing the present status of my cell. They told me that they are still working on the same. Today 2 months has passed and the problem is still the same.

                          This inconvenience is intolerable.

                          One more thing, Service centre people (Complaint Dept.) are disconnecting my call, whenever i m asking them to connect me to their boss. Today, one of the executive did the same. Right now i m not specifying his name. But if the same thing happened again, i have to specify his name.

                          This is the list of people i have already talked and didn't get any proper response :

                          17th Nov - Mr. Ajay (I logged my complaint and got Case ID : SE[protected]

                          25th Nov - Mr. Vivekanand (Told me that he is escalating the issue)

                          29th Nov - Mr. Mudit (He assured me of getting my cell repaired by 1st Dec. 2008 (Monday)

                          3rd Dec - Ms. Drishti (Told me that she is escalating the issue)

                          3rd Dec - Mr. Amar (Told me that he is escalating the issue)

                          3rd Dec - Mr. Vijay (He told me that my cell is ready and i can collect it from service centre. But on calling
                          service centre i came to know that the service centre people are still working on it. So a worng
                          update was provided)

                          10th Dec - Ms. Diksha (Told me that she is escalating the issue)

                          10th Dec - Mr. Virendra (Told me that he is escalating the issue)

                          So from 17th November, the issue is being escalated. Even if the issue have been escalated to the higher authorities, the authorities are taking any proper action.

                          Tell me, with how many more executives i need to talk for getting my issue resolved ??????????

                          I had given my cell(K850i)to your Dadar(W) service centre (Mumbai) on 10th Oct 2008. They told me that it require around 2 weeks for repairing it. It has passed over one and half month and the service centre persons are still working on it.They are not talking properly (Yesterday when i asked them how much time do you require to repair it, they said talk to the customer care).So the customers have to hear such answers to their queries. So this sort of service they are providing to their customers.

                          My cell's warranty period is going to end by February 2009.

                          On the other side, the customer care people are not giving any exact updates on the issue. I had logged my complaint(Complaint ID:SE[protected]on 17th November. one of your executive says that your cell is ready and you can collect it from the service centre.But when i call service centre, they say that your cell is still not ready and they are working on it.

                          I want you people to take strict action them.

                          I bought a Sony Ericsson Handset (G700) on dec29th08 and.that has been the blunder of my life .I had heard of Sony Ericsson quality going down .And now I can say have realized it. They actually say a hell lot about the set but not even 10% of it is true.

                          -The sms memory is not unlimited. My phone can only take 70 msgs (max).
                          -The battery backup is 1-3 hours and mind it this is not the talk time
                          -The phone goes off any mmt .that moment can come immediately after charging.
                          -on and off the display keeps going
                          -It is almost hung like forever, there were few instances that I can count on fingers when it worked rest of the time it is hung.
                          -Camera is really moody. As in on turning the camera on the phone goes offs.
                          -Connectivity is such that it makes u feel as i[censored] are on some diff planet .Not a single signal tower I could see.And the phone is not in flight mode
                          -Touch screen has no quality.Somtimes I fear the stylus might make a hole in the screen. I doubt if it is a touch screen at all
                          -I seriously doubt the battery camera software and motherboard

                          It costs Rs 15, 500/- and is not even worth 50 Paisa.
                          I started finding problems from the first day itself but the phone was not replaced .They say its out of policy.
                          The poor thing has spent 20 days in 2 service centers each only to make it worse.
                          I sent several mails and made like a 1000 calls. The only reply I got was" Nothing can be said maam that how long would it take and if will be any kind of improvement.

                          Obviously I am not using the set, I can not. But is there anyway that I can get rid of this useless piece and get my money back because they say it can not be replaced and off course I don’t trust Sony Ericsson anymore
                          I purchased w 580i model 8 months ago, then one time complete mother board problem i had faced but solved by sony.

                          Now i am facing problem related to memory card reading.

                              Dear Sir,
                              More than an year ago I purchased an expensive model of SONY music system Model MHCGNZ333D/CE12 for Rs. 11, 700/-. However, ever since its purchase I have been feeling as if I have made the biggest mistake of my life because of the Sub-standard quality of the above system.

                              The problem with the system is that either it does not read or takes so much time to read and keeps on dislplaying READING or if I try to open it only one out of the three discs may open.
                              I have been facing this kind of problem since it's purchase for which twice I lodged a complaint within warranty period.
                              Temporarily it was rectified but now again I face the same problem and warranty period has elapsed.
                              Needless to mention that when this phenomenon was brought to the notice of SONY, the reply was and since it is ‘Out of Warranty’ now, every penny will need to be paid (cost Rs Rs3500/)

                              For a Purchase of Rs11700/ if I have to spend Rs3500/ after just 14 months of purchase then I think 'SONY' is Accountable and they cannot just do away from it by replying that warranty is over .This amounts to just fooling the customer and
                              ofcourse wastage of money and manhours.
                              I think something seriously need to be done as I am not the solitary customer who is facing problems because I saw so many complaints on the internet against SONY systems .
                              It will not be out of place to mention that SONY has been dumping sub-standard products in Indian market which lasts only up to the warranty period. I think your intervention in the matter would help me in getting my problem solved.

                              Since your site has been helping many people by taking up consumers’ cause, I am sure you can set these fellows right once and for all as they have been taking Indians for a ride for quite sometime.

                                Sony Ericsson — Faulty Headset still not replaced

                                I bought a Sony Ericsson K750i cellphone dated 28.7.07
                                After a few months its headset started having some problems.As it was under the warranty period i gave it to the sony ericsson service centre for replacement.Its been over two months and i still haven't got the replacement.Adding to the agony the service centre is not playing the blame game blaming the the company for not producing enough headsets.
                                I bought a Sony Ericsson K810i cellphone dated 16.7.07
                                After a few months its headset started having some problems in key pad.As it was under the warranty period i gave it to the sony ericsson service centre for service and got ready. Now again the same problem is comming in the keys and unable to dial any number from the mobile, and asked for replacement and rejected my request. more over the service centre at coimbatore rspuam and tirupur area are not upto the mark.
                                I am having sony ericsson K 750i. Now i got a problem in the instrument suddenly display not come. all white screen will appear. when i switch off the phone it will normal. i want service centre in coimbatore city (Tamil Nadu, India).

                                After few weeks, I started having problems in my phone and several times I got the software reinstalled in my mobile by the local Sony Ericsson Care Centre. But still it did not worked. At last I decided to get the hardware changed but still it did'nt worked and then the manager of the care centre told me that they will send the set for replacement. I agreed and asked them to do so. Now, it has been around 1 month and still I have not got my mobile back. It was under warranty period and was given to the authorisad Sony Ericsson Care Centre, 2nd floor, Above Sethi Watch Company, Opp. Joshan Market, Hall Bazar, AMRITSAR on[protected].My Complaint ID is SES08ASR15425 WHICH WAS GIVEN BY THE CARE CENTRE.
                                I hope that you will kindly look into this matter and help me in getting my mobile back as I am having a lot of problems without mobile with only sim in my hand. So please tell me when I am going to get it back and whether I shall be getting it back or not? I would be very thankful to you.

                                SONY ERICSSON K220i — internet not working

                                after receiving airtel live setting on the mobile, when i stated the internet, it shows communitation error and other similar messages, so i want to register complain against the company for offering a mobile which is not working properly and for showing wrong feature of the phone on internet which is not work completely.
                                all complaints are fully correct and I also sufferer many kinds of problems with my sony erricson k850i handset. So my request that please care on proper complain and solve qquickly.
                                My advice is please look after the complain matter and take action quickly so that the customer will take proper justice without suffer

                                  I am Neeta Singh from Bokaro Steel City, Jharkhand, having the well known model w580i of one of the most booming mobile and cell phone companies, "Sony Ericsson".Bought in April'08, it started giving troubles from the very next month.When taken to service center, after complaining that the very parts of the phone cannot be fetched from the nearby areas, handled me back my mobile after a month and now after spending approximately 2 months at service center only, it has stared showing new problems such as :

                                  1.No Vibration or sometimes at its own will.
                                  2.Automatic Switch off on visiting packet trainer in games and on pressing the icon of resolution in fitness.
                                  3.Automatic Switch off at the start of games and then again restarts

                                  Looking forward to seeing a positive response as soon as possible.

                                      I had purchased a Sony Ericsson Xperia phone from The Mobile Store. There was a problem with the Handset, and I took it to the Authorised Sony Service Center. It's been more than 10 days now and they are dangling over the replacement of the piece. The RM of Hyderabad Mr. Venkat is dallying on this issue for the past one week and not replacing my handset.

                                      Can anybody please help me because I had paid Rs.41000 for the phone.

                                      i just bought Sony Xperia for less than 1 month, but the casing is easily to get scratches especially the back cover and the top layer of navigation starts to peel off, this is not what i expected before, i spent more than $1000 to buy this phone, but my nokia 6300 has better quality material than its material, even the price is 5 times cheaper than xperia. I fully regret the expensive mobile phone made from low quality materials.
