Hi,

I bought the mobile in August, 2008. After few months in October, first that Stic on the front panel above the keypad came off and then a panel on receiver side came off and then issues with touch screen. The mobile never fell from my hands.

So finally i had to spend Rs 1300 to get entire front panel. Its just 3 days now and again the STIC has come off.

What is the need to have a STIC at that place? Its a damm poor design by sony ericson. Really shameful of the company to do this poor designing.

Also when there is no damage to the phone, i believe the panel should be covered under warranty or else consumeers will have to pay for their poor designs.

This is the fourth handset of SE i am using, and say 8th in my family. We buy SE coz of the great music it provides. But when it come to design, we have to think a lot before selecting one.

To add another point, I found another lady at Sony Ericsson Service center, Andheri, Mumbai from where i bought the new panel having same STIC issues.

The issue is if we remove the STIC, the black color/paint below that STIC also comes off with time.

Sonyericsson/ G900 — Poor service center

I am having a lot of trouble getting my G900 serviced from authorized service center. My phone was under warranty & had some problem as the display contrast was changing and the phone was restarting automatically everytime. When handed the phone to, Siri Communications, Khairtabad, Hyderabad, they replaced the display on on Oct 5 2009 for work order#SE309SI111691 (The back cover was damaged by the technicians while repairing the mobile). Again the handset had the same problem in the month of January & the phone was handed over to them for work order #SE310SI110787 on Feb 25 2010 & even this time the display was changed according to them for which I was not convinced. I again had the same problem in the month of March & this time I consulted with another Sonyericsson authorized service center who told that the mother board was faulty. The supervisor from Siri Communications told me that he shall get the mother board replaced & I was provided a manual receipt(The serial number is 3421) & they are saying that there is no stock of motherboard & shall inform when it shall be done. it has been more than 2 months now. I am really fed up of this now. Please help me.

I have given my Sony ericsson G 900 mobile to service centre at Delhi as its touch screen was not working and i was unable to receive any call & its battery back up was also low.
I had submitted my set on 01.07.2010 and i was given complaint id no.SE310CTM11586 n i was told that touch screen will be replaced within 7-10 days.no any software backup the mobile data & no any help call centre.

I had visited service centre 4 times & every time they say its not repaired/they dont have parts & it will take another week. This is going on for 4 weeks.

i asked them about any higher official to talk but no give me no, .

I had even logged my complaint to their call centre no.[protected], but they also keep on saying that its not repaired yet.

And now i want a new hand set from Sony ericsson as my hand set is still under warranty, so please provide me any e mail id of sony ericsson services to log my complaint or please forward it to them.

Siri Communications — Poor service

I would like to get into your notice that the service provided by the sony ericsson service center are really disappointing the customers with their responce, i have hand over my sony errison mobile in authorized service center(Siri Communications, Khairthabad, Hyderabad) of sony errison model no.w395 the complain no :4294 as the mobile had water damage problem, they promised to give it back in week days and its almost 45 days and there is no news of getting the mobile back yet, when i follow up they still say that the part is not yet available.

I assume that this is the delay from the Sony Ercison side, i have used many other mobiles like nokia and the service is excellent.

so what exactly do u want me to do???? i hope the required action will be taken as early as possible so that none of the other customers will face such problems. Looking forward for your response on the same.

Sony Ericsson G-900 — Repairing not on Time

I Have purchased a Mobile Handset of Sony Ericssion with G900 with IMEI Serial no - [protected].

The same Handset has undergone for repairing on 30th July 2010 to authorized service center which is located at Janakpuri District Center.at the time of submission they have committed to reapir the same in 7 working days. but now when i follow up for my handset ....they are again asking for 15 more days to repair the same.

Sony Ericsson G900 — Not yet repair almost 2.5 months

Hi,

My name is LALITESHWAR JHA staying in noida. I had given my phone for repair in Lajpat Nagar sony ericsson service center on 29/1/2011 & till today (16/4/2011). I have not received any update regarding the phone. No, feedback is given for my phone is very dissappionted on the company part.
Now i am planning to go on legal way. Complaint to police station & to fast track court.

Request to kindly look into the matter from your end.

    I'm not getting proper response from service centre. My mobile problem is unsolved till now after going to service centre for times.They kept my mobile for 15 days both the two times but problem has not been sorted out.same problem is there. I had submitted my handset for third & last time after talking with custmor care excutive & senior person of the service centre .when i submitted my mobile for third time they told that it will take two days but after few minuts of submitting my handset there & stepping out of the centre i got a message from service centre that my handset is ready for delivery .so pl.do needfull action

    I had purchased a mobile in oct2008, after 10 to 20 days mobile is getting hang & network problem. I had gone to service centre of this company in sakinaka . They had taken 20 days for repair but problem is as like that.I had gone for two times there & both time they kept the phone for repair for more than 20 days .But problem is not solved

      I have purchased Sony Ericsson W200i in the name of my brother Mr.Rajeev.B at Hubli dated on 12.07.08.

      I have give same mobile for repair purpose to your Conninghum branch service center but they have rejected due to water has fall in the mobile.

      but it is true that water not been fall in the mobile.

      I believes Sony Ericsson has good company to provide quality of the product to custemer.

      Please replace effeced componets Or compencete with new one.

        I sent an email to sony ericsson for a replacement of the handset S302. However I had to wait for their reply for couple of days. I had to chase them couple of times and lastly, the answer is that the set cannot be replaced. I bought the set S302 on 30/11/08 and complained on 4/12/08. Never got a reply.

        Hello Team,

        I would want to register a complain and no body is ready to accept it. I have called the support team several times today and contacted the helpdesk and the customer care teams. They easily redirect me to eachother when I ask them to register the complain..

        Also the call gets disconnected when I am on line with them and they do not bother to call back when they have taken down my number in the begining of teh call.

        Could you please help me with this. I would want this escalated and want some little customer service provided.
        1. The sound quality of the phone is very poor. I never expected this from Sony Ericson.
        2. Phone is getting heated when game played or spoken for long. I can understand if this happens with any non-branded items.
        3. The phone is considered to be a snapshot one, however the photo clarity is also sad.

        I dont understand how this phone was released, when it has so many defects. Could you plesae escalate this issue and give me a solution. If in case I do not get a proper response, I will have to register a complait in teh Consuler forum as I am so helpless.

        S302 — Not functioning properly

        I bought sony ericsson S302 mob in global acess 1 week before, bangalore.
        i am facing many problems while using this mob
        *getting heated up if we use continously for 10 min
        *poor picture quality if we take picture
        *very very slow processing speed
        *rear panel loose fit
        *sound clarity is not good etc etc...

        I never expected this type of mob from sony ericsson *china set worth rs2000 is best compared this mob.
        I am not satisfied by the performance of the S302 mob.

        I[censored] buy back i am ready give back to you to whatever cost you say or any exchange to replace this mob.

        I hope i will get mail soon regarding this.

        hi!! this is Samuel.I had once bought a S302 sony ericson model set . I was pleased seeing it with its looks..but on using it on and on i came to know that it had got a lots of defects. i was totally upset with it.. i just want ericson to look towards the matter.. whats the use of such defected mobiles into use with such a wastage of money.. it makes no sense for costumers to buy it. and it also makes no sense to launch such a mobile..
        So i will like to request ericson to look into this matter..!!!
        I Know Sony ericson company is very good. But why they made S302 mobile phone and why its why its price so high and why this phone cant accept any themes and why its clearity of camera is not good than any other similar price mobile and why mobile hanging and why speaker volume is very low and why couldn't got USB cod with phone and why why why why why. They made this phone outside beautyfull but why nothing beautyfull inside why why why why why. All S302 user's are not happy with this phone. Actully we lost our money and our dreams of mobile.         My phone: K750i. Occasionally the phone gets switched off while attending a call, with battery charge more than 90%. What can I do?

        SONYERICSSON MOBILE PHONE — DEFECTIVE HANDSET

        I bought a Sony Ericsson SPIRO hand set from Univer Cell, Nagercoil on Nov 20th, 2010 .
        Due to some manufacturing defects I am unable to send SMS.Always out of memory message is coming.
        UniverCell people sold a defetive set to me and now they are telling we will not change the set . 4/5 times I went there every time they did a minor repair only.
        Question is how many times I will go there ? and why they do not change the set ?
        Last thing is this complain effective ?

          Hi,

          As per your advice I had submitted my phone to your service centre - Accel Frontline Limited (Sagar Tech Plaza- B wing, Unit no. 2 &3, Andheri -Kurla Rd., Sakinaka, Andheri East. 40993000/1/2/3).

          The details of the same are as follows -

          Phone Model W810i
          Phone submitted on 27 January, 2009
          Problems - Not reading the external memory card, bluetooth connection not working for handsfree device
          Phone returned on 6 February, 2009
          Call no. 109533

          My handset was returned to me without any repairing. They have written that they had tried to see if there were connector problems but there was no improvement and they have cited the problem as Motherboard problem. They write it as "RF Problem". They charged a service fee of Rs 225 from me.

          I asked them if they could fix my motherboard and repair my phone. They answered that motherboard problems can be solved only under warranty and after that nothing can be done. I was willing to pay for it and get it fixed but they said that it cannot be done.

          Now, I had bought this phone for Rs 13, 750 less than two years ago. I had bought this phone for the music, the camera and other functionalities like bluetooth etc. Now less than two years have passed and none of these things are there. I am wondering why did I spend some much money on Sony if it had to go bad in less than two years. My phone is worth not even one thousand Rupees. My phone has become useless for music, camera and bluetooth.


          Now, I had earlier pointed out the calluos attitude of your service centre guys. At the counter, I came across a lot of customers whose phones were not repaired and the reason that was cited was the same - Motheboard problem. I feel very strongly that Accel guys simple charge service fees and dont repair or try hard to repair the phone. The reason being that they would not get anything extra, the extra cost of parts does not (presumably) go into their pockets. So they are least bothered. Have you got data about the number of phone which are not repaired because of "Motherboard problems". Kindly provide me with the same.


          Now, if Sony doesn't own up for its phone, if its authorised service centre does not repair the phone what is the customer supposed to do. What do I do now? If you can't even support your product for even two years then why are you putting such a product in the market. If the phone is repairable during the warranty period what makes it unrepairable after that?


          I would like to get my money back from Sony because they sold me a multimedia phone and it went bad in less than two years and they are not supporting it anymore.


          I would also like you to look into the rampant corruption in your service centres where the sole objective seems to collect the service charges and harass the customers.


          I wish to escalate this matter to the highest authorities. I had followed your advice and given my phone to your service centre. Kindly reply immediately.

            This is Jayesh Savla from Mumbai. I am really frustrated with service that sony are giving.

            I bought a DSC- S650 Cyber shot camera from the Sony Dealer S L Electronics Kalina, Mumbai on the 30th of Oct, 2007.I have used very rarely in entire year. Suddenly camera had been not starting. This has spoiled my entire picnic.

            I have been to Sony Dealer S L Electronics Kalina to show what happen but i am really shocked they are not ready to see a camera. They had guided me to go to Atria Worli to show camera. When i ve reached to Sony at atria they are guided me to go to Aandheri.I really frustrated am running from here to there from last 15 days. Is this is your service standard?????? I can not accept this from such a international company's had paid 9, 000 cash I am feeling cheated I think I have done mistake by taking camera from Sony.


            Now I want replacement of this product. Please see my situation by keeping your self at same position.

            sony cybershot dsc-s650 — bad service

            sir this is to inform u that i had purchased a sony digi cam. somehow on my birthday it gave bad irregular photos.. i got it on 28/5/07 from dheradun.. here service station people are saying that it has been due to a dropping defect.. even the engineer also did not have a look at it..
            i am talking about a service station near e-squre bridge in pune.
            my camera is in warranty so i would request u to please help me out in this...

              Dear Sir/Madam
              on thrusday i went to service centre for checking what is the problem.
              the centre is at Anna Nagar, Chennai and the contact person is Mr.Ranganathan, Mobile:[protected],
              Address:
              Vimas intek, No:177(New no:3), Y-Block, 1st street, (Near Iyappan Temple), Anna Nagar, Chennai-600040.
              He told me some flux problem in my mobile and told me to bring the bill for replacement of mother board which he has done in the month of Dec-08.
              How can this happen if the mother board is proper? as it is new
              y cant u give us proper solutions?
              Pls remember that we are really feedup in following the service centre guys for the complaints in Sony Ericsson mobile.

              If this problems occur after 1 month i wil have to spare for all parts replacement and problems.

              I request u to get me proper solution for this by replacing my mobile r by extending my mobile warranty to another 1 yr.

              Pls lookup the matter very much urgently and get me a good decision.
              dont want a temporary solution.Need a permanent solution for this.
              Understand that we are ur customers and u have to meet customer's requirements.

              Expecting a favourable reply within monday.

I don't know how was it given approval.i had brought it on 14th of September, 2008, but after few months it started to give trouble and its low volume gave me no pleasure for my Rs.7, 000.when i had brought the phone i was in ahmedabad.My phone was totally discharged, but when i plugged my charger in it did not start.I had taken care of my phone right from start as it it seems very delicate and protected it from all sorts of danger, even water.As my phone did not started, i went my nearest service centre in cannaught, cidco, aurngabad.The unmannered staff told me that its warranty is over though its ony 4 months old because there is water damage.i gave it for checking. Few days later the told that its display has gone and i will be charged Rs.1600+tax.I question why should i pay when there is no fault of me.It may be a way of earning money but i m suffering by being a customer of sony ericsson.Also due its poor quality the flap is starting to break.& again a kick from sony...as no warranty will be given. I want u to take this seriously as i cannot afford to buy and repair new mobiles everytime just because your attractive product has poor quality and built.I hope my complaint is taken utmost care and my mobile is replaced wiyh a new one or yhat its repaired within warranty.Please look forward to it and prove ur service is not as i have come across.

                  Dear sir,

                  I want to bring to your notice that Sony authorized service center or certified service in Bangalore is involved in cheating customers.

                  I had purchased a Sony Ericsson W580i mobile phone in Sangeetha, R T Nagar, Bangalore, in October 2007 (IMEI No-[protected]) .The phone was very well functioning for 10 months later started developing problems mainly it used to hang during receiving a call( i.e in between the call) no buttons used to work. I had to open the phone and replace the battery and restart the phone. This used to happen regularly. Later one fine day, it hung up when I replaced the battery and restarted it, it did not start, it just vibrated as usual during restarting and screen went completely blank in November 2008.

                  When I contacted and gave it for service in certified service center INNOVATIVE SOLUTIONS AND SERVICES, Ganganagar, Bangalore-560032, they said the problem may be just a virus. Next day they said it is due to software problem and need to reinstall the software and call me after it is ready. Three days after no response from when I approached them they said that the problem is due to liquid damage and the motherboard is damaged due to corrosion (Even though no Liquid had entered I had to accept it). As the warranty had expired by then, they said the cost of mother board would be approximately Rs 5, 000.00 and hence would not serve the purpose as new mobile of same make is around Rs 9, 000.00. Alternatively they said to get it replaced with Seconds/refabricated motherboard in market. As I was not sure about the quality they said another option of replacing by themselves with company’s discount offer. which may take some time

                  15 days later they called me to collect the phone, when I went to collect they tried to start the phone, it did not start. They said the phone has some charging problem and would rectify it and give the next day. Two days later they said that it was not functioning and they did send the phone to company for service i.e they said they have sent the mother board to the company and get a replacement of other mother board at 50 % discount as buy back replacement Offer from them. And cost of repair would be Rs 3, 500.00 + service charge extra. I said I did not want to get it repaired as the cost was more, then they started to discuss among themselves and said they will get it done it at Rs 3, 000 + Rs 150 service charge.

                  After 10 days it was not ready yet, then when again I insisted they asked to come after 3 days.
                  Again when I approached on[protected] they said they have received the mother board from the company same day itself and asked to wait for 1 hour. I waited they finally gave me the mobile. They billed a consolidate amount of Rs 3, 200.00 (without individual break up charges for the motherboard and service charges. and carried a warranty period of 1 month. But they offered to give a warranty period of 3 months from their side. (Bill no 342, job no –2047, New IMEI no-[protected], RF board replacement –Rs3, 200.00)

                  There was sticker with IMEI no of old mother board on the board, when asked he was tensed and was taken back and said new board donot come with the sticker hence they had sticked the old one and he went to remove it, but I resisted.

                  As I had doubt about the persons as they would give silly reasons, change their words and even tell different cost for repair though every service center do have a standard tariff charges for spares all over India and Sticker with old IMEI no on the board, I contacted other center at Malleshwaram, Bangalore and explained about the problems in the phone.

                  They informed me that -
                  1) the problem of hanging and going blank is just soft ware problem and not of the mother board,
                  2) There is no such offer from the company (50 % discount as buy back replacement Offer from the company)

                  I now know that I have been taken for a ride,
                  1) They have replaced the Seconds/ refabricated mother board and pocked the money or brand new mother board

                  2) To wood wink my eyes they have pasted the sticker with old IMEI no. though the board has New IMEI no and the sticker would serve no purpose

                  3) That is the reason they used to say different cost of mother board at discounted rates (50 % discount as buy back replacement Offer from the company) as I was not interested in getting it repaired at Rs 5, 000.00

                  4) that is the reason they used to postpone as they needed to get Seconds/ refabricated mother board

                  5) During Billing when receptionist asked them to give details of the board to enter in the bill, they deferred and said they will give it later and asked her to just enter the new IMEI no.

                  7) Now again the problem repeated, i.e it hangs again during receiving a call. But rarely which occurred twice in this month. Now I understand it is the same problem and even after changing the Board the problem has recurred indicating that Problem is not in Board but of Software

                  I am writing it to you so I do get valid reasons for the delay and look into the cheating by the staff. Do look into when they have sent the motherboard to the company and received the replacement if at all they have sent or if they are faking.
                  With no response I would be left with no options to approach Consumer Court for cheating me

                  Sony E W580i — Selling 2nd Hand Mobiles

                  I purchased a mobile from Subhiksha on Saturday[protected]. The model is Sony Erricson W580i. The outlet was Kothrud, Nal Stop, Pune. I have a proper receipt of the same.

                  But the next day when I inserted a new SIM into the cell, I found that the cell was already used by someone. There was lots of contact Nos stored into it. Well there are many ways to prove that it is used. Then I called into that outlet for the issue but they said its impossible. They didn't tell me what could be done in such cases.

                  Kindly note that this handset is facing a lot of problems while turning on it on and off, at times I could not hear the conversation made by opposite person etc, and this is second time that I have faced such kind of problem within 6 months, it has hardly been around 8 to 9 months that I have purchased this hand set Model No - W580i and twice I had to give it to the service center for one or other problem and after one month for each time given handset at service center, I get my handset back, so within 8-9 months I must have hardly use my phone due to such kind of problems arising.                   W580i — Display & restart

                  I had purchased my Sony Ericsson handset in Oct 2007. When there was trouble with the display, it was temporarily rectified. Again the cell phone conked off. I submitted my cell to Service Station at Thane on 12/6/08. WO # SE08-E[protected]. Till date the cell is with them and I am told to wait for another couple of days.
                  How long am I to wait for it ?????????????

                  I have purchased the phone w580i on 25/10/2008. Since that time iam facing the continuous problem with your phone .On 16.12.2008 I have submitted the phone in your survicing center because of the software problem .Ater that the phone had continuous call conecting problem .on 06/01/2008 the machine found in a dead position and i have given the phone in your servicing center.Few days after the survice, the machine found with the same problem.With the tottal disatisfaction iam saying the fact that because of the continuouse problems i have given the phone more than 15 times in your survicing center .Finaly on today (18/05/2009) i have submitted the phone because of charging problem.In this competitive scenario this is truely an inconvenionce with the customer.So i request yours people to initiate the procedure to get the replacement of the phone

                  i purchased sony ericsson w810i on 21 march 2008 and after 6 month the cell was dead.I complaint that in accel infotech, indore i.e service center for sony..after 1 month they gave me w580i, replacing my w810i, and they assured me that this is a new piece.they didn't provide me with any extra warranty and accesory with the phone.
                  After 6 month the display of the phone is gone and the port for charger is also not working.When i complaint in service center they are not covering warranty.
                  this only mean 1 thing company is making consumer fool by providing them old piece and just want to skip themselves from their warranty.

                  I have had the exact same problems with the phone. I ordered a new OEM screen off Amazon and it works just fine. Then the new screen started to cut to black, lit. I figured out, where the components heat on the screen, wore a hole in the wire protecting inside the phone. I just put a piece of tape over it. The charging problem is a bit less annoying now. I bought a new charger and cleaned the metal components. During charging though it still has a pop up window every second or so randomly saying "Optimized Charging".
                  I have had the phone for five months.
                  Screw Technical help I know more than those do anyways.

                      i also get same mail on 29th & 31st of january 2009.right now just before 15 minutes i got sms for depositing of amt. rs. 9, 500/- only in sbi a/c no. [protected] named zothanpuiahmar from mob. no. [protected].i reply him that i delivered hard cash to u by hand, kindly send me u'r office address & landline tel. no., he told me that they r not ready to accept it.
                      now its clear that its a fraud, but i can't understand where & how i will complaint for it.is there any process or system with a quick response to trace & arrest these type of persons.if there is kindly let us know about it.
                      right now if we react on it, we got sucess to track & arrest him.

                        I wish to express my distrust and anger towards Sony Ericsson for making poor quality handsets with such a high price tag. I bought a sony ericsson Xperia X1 phone on 18th Jan 2009, it started malfunctioning with in 2 days of it;s use. Upon complaining, handset was sent for repair through designated service centre in Faridabad.

                        It was further badly handled with lots of scratches on the chrome finish surface of the phone with loose slider. I had to send it again for repair. This time it was given to me after fixing the reported faults, but to my dismay, it has started malfunctioning again as I'm not able to make calls to numbers which are not there in my contact's list.

                        Can someone in this forum advice me how to approach consumer forum to get my grievances addressed by sony ericsson and get a new replacement for my faulty X1.

                        I would further suggest everyone thinking of buying X1, please look for some other better handsets available in the market.

                        I absolutely agree with you. I bought the X1 on 30th december and the battery just drains off within 4-5 hours even in standby mode and there is this humming sound whenever i use the landline even when the X1 is in standby mode. Sony ericsson replaced the handset with a lot of hassles and now the new one given has the same problem. so my advice is DONT buy the Xperia X1
                        I totally agree that one should reconsider their option to buy this Song Errisson X1 Xperia phone. I used only 4 months and now that I have sent in for warranty repair, I was told that the on/off button is physically damaged and there is no warranty for it and i have to pay almost S$200 for it!

                        Not only is the phone bad, their service is also bad. I have written to them to reconsider granting me the warranty as i only used the phone for 4 months, til now, after 2 weeks still no reply. Really disappointing - never had any bad experiences with other phones my whole family had before. Worse still, this is the most expensive we own next to an O2 my husband had. Real frustrating!
                        Hello All. I also wish to express my displeasure in my purchase of Xperia. Only within two days o[censored]se the handset started to heat up and the battery drained quickly. The set became so hot that i am not able to keep it in my pocket.
                        This was escalated to the customer care. They directed me to Accel Frontline, cunningham road, bangalore. First they promised that if the problem was real they would replace the handset. They did a software updation. The heating persisted. But they now refuse to replace the handset. Instead they would replace the RF board.
                        This is ridiculous. Imagine a twenty four thousand of sony ericsson make requiring rework within a few days of purchase. Sony warranty says that a you will get a replacement if the set is faulty. Believe it is the most impossible thing to get a replacement from sony. They invariably mean to say you will have to be content with the crap you have bought.
                        My advice to fellow citizens it that please dont make this mistake and buy a SONY ERICSSON XPERIA HANDSET. Go for some other good brand

                        Sony Ericsson X1 — Poor customer service

                        When my Sony Ericsson mobile phone developed a minor complaint, I gave it for servicing at ‘Accel’, Sony’s authorized service centre at Trivandrum on May 20, ’10.
                        They had promised to set it right in a few days’ time.

                        Since then, I had called them several times to check whether the set was ready. But each time, they had put one excuse after another – not enough stock, courier delay and so on and so forth.

                        I have had to manage without my cell phone for 20 days now. The instrument is still not ready. You must know how much practical difficulty and tension it can cause someone.
                        I am offended by this conduct.

                        We opt for a Sony set because the brand is associated with excellent assurance of quality and service. But this experience has left my confidence in Sony badly shaken. This indifference and lax attitude can seriously dent your credibility and your standing in the market.

                          My Handycam model-DCR-DVD 703 E purchased about 3 yrs back came with a CD software Picture Package version1.8. Now when I click Picture package menu a message is displayed that this requires installation of macromedia flash player first. I have already downloaded this flash player version 7.0, 8.0, and 10.0but still it is not working properly. Same message is being displayed everytime. Kindly suggest me as to what to do in such condition. Can you send me a newer CD Software

                          Sony / Handycam — No supporting software

                          I purchased a High Defination HandyCam (HDR-SR10E) on[protected]Srl. No. 0809928) from SONY WORLD, Rash Behari Avenue, Kolkata-29. This was the first time that I was purchasing a SONY India’s product.

                          At the time I was not informed that a Blue-Ray DVD Writer will be required for transferring the High Defination Images to a DVD. Since such DVD Writers are still not easily available in India and since its price is pretty unaffordable, I would have opted for a Cheaper Standard Defination Model.

                          Moreover, after installing the bundled software, I realized that I cannot even CONVERT the High Defination Images to Standard Defination which would enable me to transfer these images to a standard DVD.

                          I also realized that the bundled software did not allow me to do simple EDITING of the images or to CAPTION / TITLE the Images before archival.

                          When I contacted SONY INDIA's Customer Service Toll Free Number for help / advise, I was bluntly told that I would have to Search the Internet and download a suitable CONVERTER and a suitable software for Editing the Videos

                          I searched the NET but was puzzled to find a large number of such CONVERTERS. Not knowing which would be the appropriate Converter, I contacted Sony India again and requested them to suggest a suitable Converter which would be suitable for converting the High Definition Images shot using my High Definition HandyCam to Standard Defination enabling to write a DVD using my standard DVD Writer but I was once again rudely told that SONY INDIA cannot say anything about any other products.

                          On the advise of my Photographer friend who is also a Dealer for SONY Digital Cameras I contacted the Regional Manager of Sony India's Kolkata Office. Instead of appreciating my difficulties and making a sincere effort to assist me, this gentleman was still more rude and blunt and simply repeated the above standard reply of not being able to say anything except SONY Products. He added that he could only recommend different and higher-end Models of the HandyCam ignoring the fact that I already burdened with a useless HanyCam for which I had spent a large part of my hard earned money.

                          As a result of the above attitude of SONY INDIA and their reluctance to either support their Hardware products with requisite software or to assist their customers in any way, although 4 months have passed since I purchased the above HandyCam, till date I am unable to use the same and it has become a white-elephant.

                          SONY INDIA has failed and neglected to :
                          1. Advise customers regarding the difficulty expected while transferring High Defination Images to a Standard Defination Format.
                          2. Provide a suitable CONVERTER or bundling a Converter along with their Bundled Browser, especially in view of the fact that the current Indian market or even the world market scenario makes acquiring a Blue-Ray DVD Writer an expensive proposition. At least the Customer should have been advised that for transferring the Videos to a DVD, a Blue-Ray DVD Writer will be required.
                          3. Assist their customers on a suitable Converter when the customer is willing to make his own arrangements.. Please note that I was ONLY asking for suggestions for a suitable software and not asking SONY to provide me a suitable software FREE. Unfortunately, SONY INDIA has failed and neglected to even offer this minor assistance., possibly because SONY INDIA themselves are ignorant.

                          Your reply is eagerly awaited before taking-up the matter with the Consumer Courts.

                          Meanwhile, a visit to http://wisetechie.com/blog/2008/07/19/sony-india-bad-customer-service-rude-emplo... will open your eyes to the reputation SONY INDIA is fast acquiring. At this arte SONY INDIA will soon be non-existant.

                              I bought a Sony Ericsson K790i mobile on 31/08/2008 and it suffered from hanging problem since the very first day. Even after Master reset and updating the phone software it still suffered from the same problem.

                              So I submitted it to Technocare Services, Lajpat Nagar which is the Authorized Sony Ericsson service center. The returned the mobile after 3 days and the very next day the phone was hanging after every 1 hour and the battery had to be removed. After putting up with this nuisance for a month I submitted the handset again to Technocare. After saying that they have replaced Motherboard etc . they returned the handset after 10 days and again it was hanging immediately.

                              Finally I submitted then the handset for replacement but they again returned it saying that they had replaced some parts and again the same problem. Today I got it repaired for the fourth time and I have no hope that it will work.

                              Now even the IMEI number on phone back panel and the one displayed on screen do not match.

                              Please suggest how to bypass the dishonest people at Technocare and contact the company directly to get my phone replaced ??
                              They never listen to customer's complain. he used to check mobile with in sec and come to the conclusion immediately about problem. this thing is happening again and again but no one can find out solutions. sony Ericsson should come forward about this matter.
                              Even some of the box pieces have software bugs which are ignored by the service centres, making the customers to suffer till the warranty periodwithout any replacement think all those sony ericsson management people sleeping at home.

                                My cell phone is new not a month old. I had been to the service centre almost 4 times. They do something like relacing battery or few technical jargons they use. But I am tired of this product. It behaves very irratic
                                Problems:
                                1. Battery gets drained without useage overnight
                                2. Phone button lights are on but phone doesn't get switch on
                                3. Even after removing the battery and switching on it doesn't respond
                                4. After multiple trials sometimes it gets started.

                                If the product is bad from the day one company should be made liable to replace it. Please help me to contact me the relavant persons.

                                Sony Ericsson Mobile Phone G502 — Handset Not Working

                                I Bought Sony Ericson mobile phone on 17th Apr 09 and the Mobile got not reacheable immediately after purchasing, when i contacted the dealer (Axis) 3 days later he refused to replace the Handset, and later on i gave the complaint and the dealer took the phone on 1st may and has submitted the phone to service center on 6th may.Now the service center people are telling it will take 15 days as the entire board need to be replaced and they are not ready to give the phone replacement alos. I wonder how the mobiles get released without testing. I am really shocked to know that sony is not able to deliver to customer satisfaction...

                                Request you to take necessary action on sony ericson.
                                I also faced the same problem after using the set for 10 days.
                                first of all the set started hanging, when i tokk it to the service center, they told me that the motherboard is defective and needs to be exchanged.
                                Secondly the colour of the key board got peeled up within 7 days.
                                when contacted, the customer care people say that its not their responsibility regarding the colour.

                                Dear Sir / Madam,

                                I have purchase Sony Ericson G 502 in T.Nagar, Univercell Shop 9 months before. One before it was not working properly, the opponent is not able to hear my voice clearly. I handed over the Univercell for repair with warranty. They accepted and after 7 days they informed, some water damage is there, so with warrant they cannot able to do repair, with charges they can able to do repair and the same was agreed by me and asked the approximate amount and they mentioned as Rs.1,000. After a long period, simply there are telling that the phone is having the same problem, so this may be repaired outside only. I shocked, the Sony Ericson mobile is not able by the Sony Ericson Service Cetre itself. Kindly help me accordingly. The Work Order No is 19266.

                                Sony Ericsson Mobile Phone G502 — Cheated by the service centres

                                I have purchased Sony Ericson G 502 on 05 th May 2009 with One Year Guarantee Guarantee Period fininshed on 04 may 2010 in between i have serviced my mobile 2 time in to Pattom (Trivandrum ) Sony ericson Authorised service centre

                                after that my phone has been dead on 15/7/10 and i submitted the same on 16/7/10 , official told me that they have to send this to chennai for repairing it will be rs 1500 after repairing I agreed for that they send the same

                                on 10/08/10 i called there they told me that mobile has been retuned with out repairing they are stating that the board need to remove it will be the cost of half of the mobile (7000 is the cost of mobile) and the same is out of stock .

                                i received the mobile from pattom on 10/08/10 evening and they have given the letter with the same problem mentioned above

                                Now what will be a solution for solving this problem

                                If they are not interested on this i will go for Legal action

                                    3 days back i hav given my laptop to SONY AUTHORISED SERVICE CENTER, BALMIKI ROAD, HAZRATGANJ, LUCKNOW for formatting, hard drive partition and then installing my antivirus.a worker named Piyush assured me for the job.but he did the formattin then installed the antivirus and asked me to come for the partition of hard drive later on.he misguided me and said he'll do the partitioning after installation also.when i tried to appraoch that person again he avoided me.and didnt take the respnsiblty.i called up again at dat center and the engineer named RAKESH assured me for handling my problem.bt wen he started handling it he again did the formattin and uninstalled the antivirus-QUICKHEAL TOTAL SECURITY ANTIVIRUS 2009 WHICH I PURCHASED FOR Rs. 1300.i again and again asked is it possible to install a single user antivirus again bt ho assured me.at last when i asked for the previous registration no. which has been given at the time of registering it earlier he replied in a very ill mannered way and misbehaved a lot.at last he submitted of not takin any responsibility of handling my laptop and answered in a rude manner-THIS IS NOT MY JOB.AND U CAN DO WHATEVER U WANT TO.WHATEVER WRONG HAS BEEN DONE TO YOUR LAPTOP ITS NOT MY RESPONSIBILITY.therefore i want to complaint against Mr. Rajesh for -not doing his job properly, misbehaving, AND TO GET MY EARKIER REGISTRATION NO.                                     i have use every product of sony, using mobile of sony, cemera of sony, television n music system every thing is good, but vaio is very trubling for me, now m not gona buy any item of sony .
                                    I had purchased a sony vaio laptop from Mumbai and i live in Goa in september 2007 which had extended warranty of 3 years . The persons in the authorised service centres in Goa are not giving the warranty can u please help.
                                    I do agree with the complaints being posted on this site. Myself is computer hardware seller as well as hardware and software services to my customers locally and far sitted. As i am engaged in this profession for more than 18 years and i very well know that persons sitting in the services centres has no technical ability and efforts to rectify the problems which are quite very easy and small in potency. The same problem is solved outside the service centres on a very nominal costs by the experienced service engineers. This kind of problem we have solved so many, for which service centres has quoted in thousands of rupees. we have solved so many problems of HP, Compaq, Vaio, Acer laptops for which service centres has quoted a big amount.                                     We want the Product to be replaced / or returned the Laptop is with Sony India.

                                    We have not used the product and it has been consistently remained at Sony, last time it went on 8th Feb'2010 wide Job no. JPE4196

                                    They extended waranty by 3 Months but my investment in this laptop of 55, 000/- Plus Harrassment Plus Business Loss is worth many Lakhs.

                                    We will be forced to take Legal Recourse should we not get a redressal we want this defective product to be replaced the Laptop is with Sony since 13th March'2010 in addition to numerous rounds at Sony, please raise this complaint to MD Sony India since no one is addressing and resolving the issue.

                                        SIR,
                                        I have purchased a hand set on 10th january, 302i- from mobile store in calicut, nadakkav branch, am n pathetic condition now. i have given dis as a gift, now the system 's back with me, becoz its havng network problem and battery back up is very low.We just used this for 3hrs. I had gone to mobile store people but dey never help me out n dey askd me to give to service centre, given to your service centre in link road in calcut, and still the set is facing the same problem. i am really fed up of sony ericsson and please do help me out to solve this. i want an immediate action to be taken for this and i think u will not b interestd to lose a customer becoz by that ur not losing one...
