On 04/04/2009 at about 6.30 p, m I had used my debit card at Gandhi Nagar, 2nd Main Road, Adyar for withdrawal of Rs. 2000/- for which i got the instruction as TIMED OUT and no CASH was disbursed as well as no print out but my account was debited for Rs. 2000/- On 06/04/2009, I approched the Branch Manager of Gandhi Nagar SBI, he conveniently refused to take my compliant and directed me to contact Corporation Bank, when this amount lying with SBI, Gandhi Nagar ATM as Excess.Kindly credit my account at the earliest.

Respected Manager,

This is in regards to the worst ever customer service that I have come across with your bank in the past 15yrs.

I have 03 Savings account with ur bank. One in Delhi and the other in Chembur Mumbai and. My mother and sister too have an account in your so called renowned bank in Delhi branch at dilshad garden.

I happen to visit the Versova branch at least twice in a month to transfer some cash in my sister's or mother's account.

I had 02 incidents just recently in the same branch.

I had a Delhi Citibank account cheque of my corporate account and had to deposit the cheque for the amount to come in my Chembur-Mumbai Account. I had specifically asked the lady if this chq would be transferred as it was an amount of 2lakh and wanted the money urgently. She promised it will be transferred by Tue as mon was a Public Holiday-Republic Day.

I waited and happen to call to check if the cheque has been transferred. The person over the phone says it will take another 02 days. I get a call in 5mins from the same man who tells me that it cannot be done as this is a Delhi cheque. I was upset. I went to the branch the next day and advised the Manager Mr Neeelkanth Nayak of the same. He too couldn't do much. He did not handle my query efficiently as my concern was if I had confirmed with the lady before depositing the cheque 4 times!, why wasn't the lady aware that the Delhi cheque will not be accepted!.. She had checked the cheque and signed on the deposit slip! Mr Nayak was indifferent to the concern, and very bluntly said 'go to your branch in chembur and deposit it and you will get the money in 4 working days!! .. I wish I had been advised of the same the day i came to deposit the cheque which was the 22nd of Jan. I had already wasted 5 days waiting for the money!!!

2nd incident happened just today and hour back!!! And this was the worst...

I had to as usual transfer cash in my sister's account in Delhi ABB-463, I had 49000 Cash with me of 100 notes. I had 1st made a bundle of 90/100RS note. Which was Rs9000. The lady at the cash counter took the cash counted it in the machine and then manually. It didn't take her long as I had already counted, arranged in order all that I had not done was tie a rubber band around it. She did that for me signed my rcpt and gave it back.
In this process all i asked as a customer was 4 rubber bands as I had to make 4 Bundles to give 40000. I was surprised with her answer. She said "Idhar sabko dene ke liye nahi rakha hai"(We haven't kept these to distribute)!! Just for 4 rubber bands that don't cost .50p she made a horrible face when I told her I have more money to deposit and the rubber bands will come back to you!!!.

I went back to my seat counted and arranged the money and gave 04 bundles of the 100 / Rs100 notes... She took the money, attended to a person whom she had to give cash. I didn't say anything! But when she started collecting cash from the next person in queue who had equal no. of notes she rudely said-You need to Wait! I have other customers. I said" am I not your customer" She replied, you are not from this bank! I felt so small, and ashamed to have been associated with this bank for so many years!!!

I told her I have handed you over the money and you have kept it aside, but now you are collecting some other customer's cash just because I do not hold an account in your branch but in Chembur or Delhi. I had waited for 15min. I went to the Manager who was equally horrible when he spoke. He called the lady into his Cabin.

The lady twisted the whole story and said that she had to arrange the bundle of 90 Rs100 notes that i gave her and it was taking long. I advised the manger that she was lying!!!

The manager was not ready to hear me but believed what the lady had to say, as he said “she has been working here for 25years, and I know her very well"
25years doesn't make a person excellent at her/his work. What is important is the customer service, which neither the lady nor the manager understood!!

The manager asked me where I was working. I told him British Airways! Mr Nayak got his personal grudge with British Airways saying that he arrived on a flight and his bag was mishandled and had to wait for 10 days!

He threatened that he will call up British Airways talk about its service

Now this was stupid of Mr Nayak, to get 02 companies in between! I think he doesn't have the sense that I wasn't talking of Corporation bank, but the attitude of a Corp bank staff that is ruining the image of his bank as there were other people who witnessed the scene!!!

I now would not hold any accounts with corporation bank, because of this unfortunate incident and the way it was dealt by Mr. Nayak, being the Branch Manager. I have lost hopes with this bank.

I feel disgusted to have been a customer with your bank for 15 years.

Hope you train your staff on Customer Service!!!

ir, I have an savings bank account a/c no 5175 in Corporation bank
Arekere gate Bannerghatta road bangalore 76.
On 9/11/08 I used my corp debit card card no.[protected] in
Bank of Baroda ATM Pai layout Hulimavu gate Bannerghatta Road
bangalore . As the denominations in the ATM machine was of 100's i
was asked to draw only Rs.5000/- at a time, since i needed
Rs.15000/- I used my card thrice but in the first two transactions i
received the money, and in third transactions i didn't receive any
money instead in the screen of the machine it was displayed that my
transaction limit has been exceeded and received a slip with my
transaction as declined . At that moment as i had not reliased that
money was deducted from my account i threw the slip i received and
came out after three minutes.A letter with the same above details was
given to my corp bank branch 0n 11/11/08 which was forwarded to FTS
centre bangalore and on 17/1/09 i received a mail from FTS with a copy
of what Bank of Baroda has sent them telling that all my transaction
was successful which i am forwarded it to you also i will forward the
mail that as come to from FTS centre bangalore for your kind persual .
Sir please i request you kindly look into the matter and help me in
getting my money back as it is for sure that i didn't receive it on
that day .here is the copy of the mail sent to me by FTS thanking you

I'm Priya.R, I have completed my Bachelors in Law with first Class grade.I got an offer from a reputed university in london for which i approached the nearest branch of corporation bank, Mylapore branch. To my surprise when i asked for the application form of educational loan nobody was bothered to give me any proper advice moreover i was asked to wait near the manager's room for more than 2 hours.
When i entered the manager's chamber even he ignored my application saying that i should hold an account in the said bank which is not anywhere in the eligibility criteria of the bank norms.

(note- Most of the banks promise 4.5 lakh to 7.5 lakh without security but in reality no one is ready to offer even 2 lakhs without security)

Is this the way an aspiring student to be treated in a bank? what will be the future of poor students who don't posses any kind of property to provide as security? then whats the meaning government providing guidelines to the bank to issue educational loan?

To approach Bank and to get an educational Loan without any hassle has become like a dream.

With due respect, I would like to bring to your kind notice that I'm facing a lot of problems due to faulty transaction of ATM's. I Ujjwal, a Salary account holder of your bank from 30th of June, 2008, had performed an ATM transaction from Corporation Bank on 24th of November, 2008. Due to some problem, the money didn't come out. I withdrew money from other ATM, but I found the money that I had entered for withdrawal from Co-operation bank ATM (Rs. 1000/-) was debited from my account . The same thing happened again, when I tried from Bank of India on 14th of Dec, 2008, this time the amount was Rs 1500/-.
When I contacted the customer care representative, they told me I would have to wait for 35 odd days for the money getting credited in my account.

I just wanted to ask you a question, are we really living in a JET AGE, Banks are taking 35 days to credit one's money?
Who is accountable for the trauma that I had to bear, for getting my money locked for 35 long days?

This is sheer carelessness on the banks part. Request you to please look into the matter as soon as possible

I am Arun. This happened to me last year in November i guess.

I had this really absurd experience with one of the Corporation Bank in Bangalore (Banashankari). I was employed in a firm nearby to the bank and i was provided with a S/B account with the same bank.

After few months, i wanted to apply for a loan, but they had not issued me cheques when opening the account.

My loan was sactioned, but i had to submit few postdated cheques of my bank account. For this reason, when i approached the bank and requested for a Cheque book:

First Person: "Go to Desk #1"

Desk#1: "I am busy, wait for half hour"
(after half hour)

Desk#1: "yes, i have taken request, u will receive it in 10 days."

AFter 10 days, of course I dint receive the cheques. So i went again.
There, same thing again.

First Person: "Go to Desk #1"

Desk#1: "I am busy, will let you know in sometime"

(after sometime)

Desk#1: "Go speak to the bank manager"

I went to his cabin. and this old budda, wearing a hawai slipper, is the manager of this branch.

he checked my account balance. I had some 2000 Rs left in it.

Started abusing me that if i cannot maintain 10000 Rs bank balance, why i need cheques and he refused to issue the cheques.

i got pissed and started yelling at him, but it was like rain on a buffallo.

Guess what, i never got the cheques... MY loan got cancelled. :(

I write to inform you that me and my family facing lots of problems this days due to corporation bank laxmi nagar branch.My father was taken home loan from that bank in the year 2002 of amount rs 5 lacs and 20 thousand for 20 years.Due to some financial problems we were not able to pay some instalments in time in the year 2004 but after that we paid all the installments on time and also paid the amount which we were not able to pay by depositing more amount apart from the installments means when my father told the bank peoples that we are not able to pay the full amount one time so as a solution of that they told my father that ok pay what ever amount you have every month like emi is rs5400 and my father paid some times rs6000 sometimes rs10000 like that.Now few days back one person from the bank come to our house and told us that withen two days leave the house because the house is going to seal by the court we asked him the reason he not told us.Next day me,my father and my mother went to the bank and asked the reason for that first they not listen to us both the manager and employees and not even tell us that what have to do to avoid the sealing.When we go to the chief manager MR M.A RASHEED he also not listen to us and behaving very roud to us.When my mother hold manager's legs then he said that pay the full amount which are remaining i.e aroung 3lacs somthing otherwise leave the house he also said that they forwod this case to court but we are not recieving any notice from the court.I also asked this is not possible for us to manage that much amount withen this short period of time we can deposit that amount which are left in the year 2002 plus the interest upon it.But again the manager not listen to us and told the security gaurd to pull out us out of the bank.Is this the way to talk and behave with the customers.We are very mentaly haras.please help us please.
