I have bought my Dell 5547 on 26th July 2015. My warranty is shown already to be over.
I have tried contacting the Dell customer care service who directed me to the retailer(Croma Mulund) to deal with the problems and ask them to forward the purchase details. Which was done by me and according to them they forwarded the details of my purchase on 3rd of June 2016. and i was told the details will be updated within a span of 15-20 days but the information is still on updated.
When asked to the Dell personnel she has again directed me to the retailer. Your customer has to juggle between two parties to attain service from you.

    My laptop service tag dqtb932... I have purchased this on may 25th 2015.. The product was troubling mee with the problem of led screen... The led screen was changed on 25/11/2015 by the dell supporter during warranty period.. But again it has the problem of led screen.. Is that led screen chge by u works only for 6months and as new products u will give warranty for one year. So u have to replace with new led screen for me. U have given a defective product for me it does worked properly. I[censored] not respond to this problem i make a case in the court and u will get the notice. Please do respond to this problem... And my purchase was done in the month of may but it is showing febraury... Please give me reply as soon as possible.

      I baught dell inspiron 3158 (Service tag no 5bfyb82) on 26/04/2016, after some time my laptop is having touch screen partially not working, i contacted dell they sent their engineer twotimes, chaneg some of parts but still my laptop touch screen is not working well, i asked dell to refund money or replace with new laptop but dell is refusing.
      I m requesting you to help me to get refund.

      Dell replaced my system but there was same problem.
      after that dell replaced touch screen and dell engineer damaged laptop body i uploadeed laptop photo, there is gap between black and silver pannel.
      Previously same wngineer was sent and he defacted laptop webcam (I notified dell that your engineer is not well qualified even they send that engineer). thats why dell replaced my laptop after 30 day waiting time (30 day without laptop).

        I had purchased a laptop in june, 2013 and since then i am facing a lot of problems with the system. I have already got the laptop replaced once and even in the new laptop the hard drive is replaced twice. Again now my system has crashed because of the hard drive issue. I registered a complaint with the dell team on 17th june, 2016 but still now its not resolved. They are giving me the worst service possible on earth. I am facing a lot of trouble with this. The engineers that their team has is just ruthless. They dont know how to talk to customers nor do they know what the customer's issue is. I have even spoken to one of the managers of dell but even he was useless. Only thing they will keep on saying that they apologize for it. What the hell will i do with their apologization. Even i am a working guy, i dont have time for all this rubbish. Please see to it and please take some action against them.

        There are several other complaints regarding the same company which cant be written down because the complaints are endless. Its the worst laptop company I have ever come across. I hope complaining over here will work.
        No action has been taken yet. Please see to it and get this thing resolved ASAP.
        Is anyone getting these messages or you have just opened this forum for simply no use. Just take some action or at least reply to these messages.

          I have purchased the above laptop from vijay sales, infiniti mall andheri on 14/06/2016. Yesterday ie 26/06/16 when i put the cd for my work the laptop started giving a peculiar sound and neither was the matter copied to the cd. I phoned vijay sales immediately and they told me not to come to their store as they have alot of customers and are not in a position to attend to me. They asked me to come today. When i went today they told me that i would have to go the dell service centre in andheri as they are unable to rectify. I was asked to phone the dell service toll free no. There i was told that i would have to br ing the laptop to the service centre. I took the laptop and was informed that they would replace the cd slot and it would take 4 to 5 days. My grievance is that why as a consumer i should suffer for a defect in your product. What is the quality check youare having. I was made to run from pillar to post. Why have the toll free nos if your engineers cannot come and check. I want the laptop to be replaced since it is manufacturing defect. Are you trying to fool the customers. I am very much aggrieved. I purchased a dell laptop thinking that i was buying a good laptop. I am very disappointed. I must state here that lenovo and acer which are cheaper are much better and give much better service. I have always used the cheaper laptops and this time i thought i would upgrade but did not realise that i was asking for trouble.

            The reason for buying a Dell laptop was purely its 'so-called' customer service. However, both the laptop and the service have been disappointing to say the least and unable to live up to the hype surrounding them.

            More than a week back, the LCD screen of my Dell 7548 suddenly stopped functioning. After innumerable calls to the customer service (the IVR takes almost 20 min before one can speak to a technician and there is no call back mechanism if the call gets disconnected at their end) I was informed of the customer service centre (there is only 1 in the “Metropolitan” city of Kolkata) and its contact numbers, one of which was out of service and the other always busy. As I am a student, a day without my laptop renders me completely useless and I am unable to get any work/studying done without the laptop and hence I had no option but to take it to the service centre 20km from where I am situated. On reaching there I was asked to take it back for data back up because apparently laptops these days need to be reset even for purely hardware issues. It was completely nonsensical on all levels. They then suggested I take my hard drive back with me, come back and give it to them and then come to the centre once again to receive my laptop. On requesting them to keep my hard drive with them, they refused failing to understand my problem and the inconvenience I would have to face. Nevertheless, I took my laptop, un-repaired and useless, back with me.

            Monday, 9 Am I promptly called the service centre to register my complaint once again and after an hour and 3-4 call transfers I was told that I would receive a mail stating the amount I would have to pay for the technician to visit. After 3 hours and 2 more reminder calls to the service centre did I receive a mail with the terms and conditions being different from what was promised to me on the phone. I was told that since my laptop was under warranty I would not have to pay for the replacement of any part but only the technician’s service charges. However, the terms and conditions in the mail stated that I may have to pay for the replacement of the part as well. I still replied to the mail and waited for the sales call which was the next step. I received a call the next day, however being in a lecture I was unable to answer the same. I received a mail asking for my alternate number which was already provided to them earlier. On promptly replying to the mail I received no response from the team and got a call only the next day. The next day the same thing happened and I dropped a mail asking them to call at 4PM. However, as has been the trend, responding to calls and mails doesn't seem to be dell's strong suit. In fact, I'm not really sure what really is Dell's strong suit. The next day which was a Thursday I am finally able to get in touch with a representative only to be told that on payment it will take 3-4 working days for the technician to visit me. Now, understand my frustration. It's been almost 6 days and the company refuses to help a customer in need because of what I can only conclude is extreme tardiness.

            It's been 10 days now and I still have no clue as to whether the technician would be making the visit to repair my laptop. This is the most disappointing service I have ever received and it's frankly quite surprising that a global firm takes a day to respond to emails, needs continuous reminders for actually doing their job and has no debit card payment mechanism. In fact, after making the payment (Friday) and still receiving no response from the team at Dell I had to drop another email today and it's only then that I received a call only to realize that they had just woken up and would go about booking a sales technician which would take another 1-2 days.

            All in all, I would have suffered a total loss of 12 days, which I am certainly not getting back. Not just that it has also caused me extreme mental distress that too when my laptop is under warranty. I would not want to imagine the kind of duress I would have been put under had my laptop not been under warranty. I was forced to dedicate precious hours from my schedule and feel helpless and distressed only because Dell has been unable to live up to the standards.

              Sub: dissatisfaction wrt service request number –[protected]

              I had contacted dell for an "adapter" issue that i was facing within a week to ten days of buying a new dell laptop inspiron. The personell advised me to upgrade the bios which i did via the link sent to me. But still the problem persisted. I was advised to get the part replaced with a 'refurbished' part which was a surprise for me since i could not digest the fact that i had to put in a 'refurbished' part in a brand new laptop. It also made me to wonder as a lay person as to why i spend so much money on a new laptop which was already showing errors. The screenshot of the error has already been mailed to you before.

              Finally it was decided that a dell/wipro/tcs engineer would visit and check for the error. The engineer did visit in my absence and claimed to have updated the bios again!! He waited for 10-15 minutes only to inform me that he couldnt see any error so far. This was pretty annoying because i had already told him that the error used to come anytime and hence waiting for 15 mins and declaring the laptop as 'error-free' would be premature. I enquired with him as to what would happen if the error occured again? At that time he fleetingly mentioned that it could be a motherboard problem! The engineer was mr nasrul ansari ([protected]).

              My own personal computer engineer denied any bios being updated! Moreover the next day (I. E. 22/6/2016) when i accessed my laptop the error flashed up again. This is pretty annoying for a customer. The screenshot of the same has been attached to this email.

              This is my 2nd laptop buy from dell. I dont want to lose faith in the brand so soon. I believe the best way forward is to replace the entire laptop (Box piece) with a new one since the error has occured within a month of the buy.

              I being a urologist dont have fixed duty times like my counterparts from the it industry and hence fixing a time for visits is obviously difficult especially for professionals like me. The coperation from my side so far has been maximum.

              Hence as far as i am concerned the issue hasn't been solved. I hope dell handles this issue more professionally.

                Hi, I have bought a Dell Inspiron 15 series (5558) laptop on 17 May 2016. On 21 Jun 2016, While I was opening the laptop the hinge of the screen had broken off and the screen started to separate from the back support. I called to the customer care ([protected]) and informed about the same. I inquired for the warranty status of my laptop and I learnt from the customer care that accidental damage would not be covered under warranty. However, the issue here is not accidental damage, as i have neither dropped my laptop nor had done physical damage to it in any way. I told the customer care that this is not an accidental damage, rather it is a product quality issue. I asked the customer care not to group my issue under accidental damage and requested him for Product Quality analysis. If the findings of the analysis show that the damage was due to any kind of physical damage, then I told that I would pay the charge for the same, else I asked him to cover under the warranty. However, the DELL customer care was not even willing to perform a Product quality analysis of my laptop.

                A laptop which is just brought a month ago cannot get itself dismantled unless there is Product quality issue. I request you to help me find the appropriate solution.

                Kindly take firm action against such issues because these kind of issues suck people's blood in the form of money. The comapny has to be accountable for goods provided with out any standards.

                I am also facing the same issue with dell inspiron 15 series (5547). My right wing also popping up when i am opening and closing my laptop . I read a lot of forums regarding this issue all are saying it is manufacturing defect but dell is not agree with it. Even i went to service center and explained them clearly but simply they said, it won't come into warranty and it is not manufacture defect . The quality of the inspiron series is not good and even they are blaming us for their manufacturing problems.

                These kind of issues need to be dealt with stringent actions. I sincerely request people (every one who considers to buy DELL laptops) to be cautious about DELL Company. Request personally not buy Dell Laptops. This company do not understand the value of customers until they loose there loyal customer base. Manufacturing defective pieces without proper standards, and asking the customer to bear the burden cannot be accepted any more.

                Request you people to come clean on this kind of issues.

                my is issue is the same as yours i have dell inspiron 5547 and its hinge is broken.
                I have paid my money and i had not got my lappy repaired.Those say about parts being ordered and you will get it soon but no response since 3 months and they have my laptop till date. Hell man can u guys give any advice how to get my lappy back 😑

                  I visited Dell Authorized Service Center in Pune managed by M/s Regenersis (India) Private Limited on 11th June 2016 for repairing of my laptop Dell Inspiron 1564.
                  The front end enginner Mr. Sameer Sorte asked me to make payment of Rs.1364 via credit card and told me I will receive payment receipt over email only.
                  After not receiving any receipt for 4 days, I called service center and they told me I will get receipt by evening, but no receipt received.
                  After a week, I collected my laptop after servicing on 17th June 2016 and again asked for payment receipt. This time the guy at counter gave another excuse and told me that I will get the receipt within a day.
                  After waiting for another week, I called the service center again. This time they told me that they have shortage of staff to issue payment receipt.
                  All this is looking quite suspicious, how could an authorized service center take money from customers without issuing a payment receipt.
                  Please help me where I can register a complaint and get my payment receipt.

                        Sir I have purchased dell machine from a dell exclusive showroom and today I call customer care mr Deepak gupta he told me and showed me rude behavior and he told me to get replaced heat sink but hence I bought this laptop only one month ago so I want to return this bad and faulty product.                           Dear team,

                          I purchased dell laptop on march 2016 and it has been very slow from day one onwards. When i called the customer care they tried with some trouble shooting which made my laptop a bit better. When i asked them i need much better performance they are saying the issue could be with os. As still my laptop is under warranty why should i pay the bugs again? If the os which was installed in my pc properly done i couldn't have faced this issue. Already i was charged nearly[protected] rs for os. I was questioning the same to the customer care executive and they disconnected the call immediately. Is it not responsible of the dell india to provide the original product and support? Kindly help on this.

                              I purchased a Dell laptop -inspiron 15R this month (it has just been 15 days) and it seems that it has become the worst mistake so far.
                              First, it's webcam was not work fine and the laptop had to be replaced.
                              Then after a few days, the Ethernet port wouldnt work and I had to give it to the service center again for fixing.
                              Now, after all this, the laptop is not opening . I went to the service center and now they are commenting that the motherboard needs to be replaced.
                              When we buy a laptop, this shouldn't become a weekly trip to the service center. It was bought for some work and now I am stuck with a faulty piece yet again waiting for it to be fixed. I have to travel out of town and now all my schedules have been completely ruined because of this.
                              Does the company not run a quality check of the laptop or any other electronic device for the matter before selling to the customer. This is not the first time I am using a laptop so I am aware that so many issues cannot arise unless there has been no check on the part of the seller. It was recommended to me that Dell laptops were high quality but now after this awful experience which may be followed by many more as it now seems, I don't think I will ever recommend buying this brand to anyone.
                              Kindly note that it is not possible for anyone to keep running to and from the service center everyday and please ensure that this is my last visit for the same or replace the laptop totally with a proper check beforehand. There already has been too much headache for the same.

                              Hope this mail doesn't go unattended and the problem gets resolved soon.

                                I purchased dell laptop and within 2 month its power button gone inside, i have raised complaint to dell service center before oct 2015(laptop purchase date aug 2015). that time they have given excuse that they don't have power button in stock. once they ll get in stock they ll contact me for repairing, till now they haven't contacted me back, i have raised complaints 3 to 4 times. worst service after sell and product too.

                                    Hie, this is prashanth. Actually before two months my laptop screen has been damaged, i took it to the dell store(chemit) in mehdipatnam(hyderabad).
                                    It had been replaced with the new screen charged rs 4000/- and given the warrenty for three months, screen has damaged again and again i took it to the same store, but the person arguing with me that it was my fault. Beacuse of his rude behaviour, i just came back with out screen replacement. This is not fare. In future i dont support anyone to buy the dell laptop.
                                    Dell India customer support has been notified about the posted complaint.

                                      I have purchased a cpu model no cn-0657pn[protected]f-0rfb from hi tech computers suncity building shop no-4 pen khopoli road pen raigad vide bill no 049 dated 03/08/2015.
                                      Since fifteen days one white line is coming on the monitor while being in operations.
                                      Two persons from hi-tech computers had visited my residence and the problem was shown to them.After checking they told that it is there fault and they will look into the matter within three days, but regret the same has not been attended till today.
                                      Now i request your good self to kindly depute your representative at my residence at the earliest so that the problem of my cpu is solved once for all.
                                      Dell India customer support has been notified about the posted complaint.
