I have had a very very bad experience with Dell laptop 3542 customer service right from day one of purchase. On the second day itself one of the customer service executives requested to access my laptop online and somehow managed to delete all my data which was very shocking for me and till date repenting for the same. Through out the warranty period I have faced constant problems with something or the other, be it keyboard, starting issues, hanging problems etc; I had lodged several complaints throughout the warranty period which remained unresolved and now being told that the warranty period is over hence Dell will not be able to provide you the service.
I REQUEST ALL LAPTOP BUYERS TO PLEASE DON'T EVEN THINK OF BUYING A DELL PRODUCT & EVEN SUGGESTING ANYONE, I WAS SUPRISED WHEN THE DEALER - VIJAY SALES MUMBAI HAD WARNED ME AT THE TIME OF PURCHASE INFORMING THAT THE SERVICE OF DELL IS GOING BAD TO WORST AND I WISH I HAD LISTENED TO HIM. YOU WILL ONLY REPENT AFTER BUYING DELL. THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE IS VERY UNPROFESSIONAL AND RUDE.

GUYS DELL IS HELL. THEY SHOULD BE BANNED.

    I had purchased dell insiron n5010 on december, 2010. The system has preinstalled softwares (Windows 7 home basic, ms office 2007). Last week i tried for reinstallation as my hdd was damaged. When i entered the product key while reinstalling windows, i got the message that the product key is not valid. When i contacted the microsoft, they clearly told that they are not responsible for the softwares provided by dell, as it is oem and pre-installed software. When i contacted dell india, they are refusing to answer or resolve the problem. I know my system is out of warranty. Here i am not asking the service, i am asking about the product key provided by them which is invalid. But dell india is directing me to contact microsoft. Kindly do the needful.

      I bought a dell inspiron 15 laptop on 6th jan 2016 with configuration:

      Intel i5 processor
      4g ram
      1tb hard disk

      I hardly get a chance to use it as i have another official laptop, but whenever i want to use it for my personal purposes which is hardly anything memory or cpu intensive thing, i just get blasted with this useless machine i bought. When i called dell customer care initially that trackpad is slow, they were so rude to even listen to anything.

      Issues in laptop :

      1. Trackpad loses its cursor once in 20 mins
      2. If the system is left open, it wont get to slepp mode or screen saver, it will just die and you have to reboot it all over again, which is a fair 20 min process.

      3. I can easily say that dell is making its customers fool by applying stickers of i5 processor, this machine is so slow that even core2 duo processor would be 10 times faster. Even to open file explorer it shows wait signal for more than 5 minutes.

      Dell team : can you explain what kind of products you are selling. I will share this to each of my friends/colleagues that never ever buy anything of your brand who just enjoy 1 time money of customers selling the fake laptops.

        I bought new laptop year a back . when i got this product itwas good but after some day i started i getting problem it was stucking and hanging and too slow I bought laptop and i thought graphics are working but its not working.
        when i play games like nfs other games.And some videos are also not played properly .
        i tried everything
        I dont know what to do and this problem was facing when i bought this new also
        plz tell me what should i do

          I got my dell 5558 touch screen replaced under the dell accidental damage. But after the repair work was done, later on from one side, the bottom part of the body broke where the hinges are fitted and that too in a normal use. So, when i was getting it repaired, i came to know that there were only 4 screws fitted with the hinges instead of 6 on that side which lead to damage of the body part as it could not handle pressure for which definitely dell is liable and is denying of it or any help.

          I request dell to provide me with the necessary replacement of the part that is damaged.

            I have given my laptop(Which is under warranty) to service centre at 1-8-303/34-1, g-5, may fair complex, sp raod, secunderabad, hyd-500003, on 7/4/16 with dsp ref no:enq/dghyd/16-17/0000154.
            Since then i have waiting for their reply, i visited again on 12/04/16 to know the status of my laptop. There has been no response from their team. They do not pick up the phone also. Even today we called up them there is no response. They still say that they are waiting for some material to come from their head office.
            Dell after sales service is very bad. Infact disgusting, after paying 76k for my laptop (6months old) .I would advise all my friends not to buy dell products because its poor after sales support.

            The monitor display is filled with black lines and dots so that the screen is not visible.The screen at times misbehave.Some times it turns off suddenly. The screen is very blured and not even a single folder can be seen.The problem started two three months back.The warranty period is not over .Kindly accept my complaint

              I have purchased dell laptop ci3/iii gen/4gb/500gb/win 8/one year onsite warranty. Details are s/n-7dj23x1; qudeu[protected]; sku-3521 insp for rs 36500 vide receipt no. 6826 dated 22/12/2013 from m/s himcon systes, u-32, first floor, durga city centre, haldwani - 263139, nainital, uk. In july 2015, flickering in display on the screen appeared, i contacted m/s himcon systems for rectification of the descrepancy, then above dealer changed the screen on charged basis. I paid rs 4500/- towards charge of new screen vide receipt no. 149 dated 05/08/2015. Now again, black horizontal line appearing on the newly replaced screen since last two months. Therefore it is requested that plz rectification may be done at the earliest or laptop set may be changed to avoid further difficulty at customer's end. Product is worst what i think.

                  It seems to be automatic on condition.

                  I want to replace it.
                  Company gave me the technically defective piece.

                    I bought dell laptop (Inspiron 15r 5537) with 3 years in-home warranty (Which comes with accidental damage service & premium phone support worth rs. 13000) which totals out to rs 60, 000, in the month of may 2014. After a month o[censored]sing the product i started facing issues regarding the graphics card (Dedicated graphics card incompatible with windows 8.1).

                    This laptop comes with 2gb amd radeon hd 8670m graphic card and paid genuine microsoft windows 8.1. I contacted the dell “premium phone support” (As i have paid for the same) and explained them the issues that i am facing. The major issues are like laptop performance is very poor, graphic card is not working properly, bsod, graphics card driver getting uninstalled automatically and so on. And felt sorry for myself as the technical advice which i got was to reinstall and reset windows or go for a fresh installation of os. I did what they asked me to do every single time. But the result was, the product works fine for a couple of week and then starts showing up the same old issues.
                    All the service request raise till date (Except the last one) is attached as an image.
                    As i been facing this issue with the product and with the dell support team for a couple of years now, i feel the actual issue is that dell provided me a laptop with adm graphics card and windows 8.1 operating system, which are not compatible with each other (I made the above statement as agreed upon by the dell customer care executives). So this is what dell do, they just sell products of best in class brands like microsoft and amd, but which are not compatible with each other. Dear dell engineer, i am sorry to say that, you guys are ruining the image of brands like amd and microsoft. Please stop doing this.

                    And now comes the fun part, after a year of my suffering with this laptop, dell agreed to replace my motherboard and graphics card with a new but same model hardware. Guys use your common sense. You guys isolated the issues as my windows 8.1 and amd driver for graphics card radeon hd 8670m are not compatible. Then how can you people believe that replacing them would fix my issue. However, they did replace my hardware, system run fine for a day or two. Third day back to same issue.

                    Now recently on 7th dec, i again registered the service request. The first solution was, as usual, reinstall the windows and drivers. Friends i am a management student, i work on projects and reports, as required for my academics. I can't sit and do windows re installations every moth, on the mid-way of my projects and assignments. Might be dell wants its customers to re-install the os every moth for better performance. But sorry, i can't do that. It was a great mistake i trusted a brand like dell. I should have gone through the consumer complaint forum before buying the product, as it lists quite a large number of dissatisfied consumer complaints.

                    During the troubleshooting procedures from the service engineer’s end to fix the laptop using remoter access, he did some changes in the setting, next thing i see was, increase in the frequency of blue screen of death - with new error messages. And when he tried to fix the new bsod’s he burned out my battery. My battery which used to last for more than six hours all on a sudden stopped giving me any backup. When i informed service engineer about the battery, what he replied was even more funnier, he says its due to battery age. Dear dell, its basic physics, battery age brings down the capacity of holding charge, which means that it gradually reduces its back-up. Where as in my case it’s your unskilled engineer experimented on my laptop which burned out my battery circuit. Nobody is perfect, and errors can happen, and when we accept our errors we become humans.
                    After all this dell again replace my motherboard and graphic card, which didn't work out like last time, but not my battery. Now they have even stopped responding to my mails and no more follow up call.
                    Dear dell please take back your product, and pay back my money. I will by a laptop worth 13000rs, which would work better than yours. I paid for laptop and 2 years extended warranty to stay out of trouble at least, but thanks to dell, you have put me exactly in the same situation which i wanted to stay out off.
                    I don't have any more patients for this, i have learn ‘t my lesson, never in my life - i will not buy nor recommend dell even to my enemies.

                      Hi,
                      I've bought the dell inspiron 3542 laptop on sunday 3rd april, 2016 and since weekdays followed immediately i couldn't get time to work on my laptop so started it on thursday 7th april, 2016. Battery was low so charged and next day when i opened it again shown the same problem and it couldn't sustain without the charger being connected. Network icon goes off suddenly while working and it needs to re-start inorder to re-gain. System boots very slow and it is still an empty system so i do not expect this slow right in the start.

                      I'm using dell laptop's since years and i never expected to get such a worst product right when i bought and i blindly trusted the brand to know that dell product will never be like what is it resulted at the end and i did not check it during weekdays.

                      I bought it from vijaysales, chembur and they did not entertain at all when i expressed my concerns with them and asked me to get in touch with dell for the same.

                      I want my laptop to be re-placed at any cost, i do not expect it to be repaired right away i've bought it.

                        On 16th feb 2016 I purchased a dell laptop from its own website address www.dell.com
                        from the next day itself its gesture, then speakers, then heating issues started
                        I called several times to dell, visited the dell service center, three engineers from their side came to my place... but the issues couldn't get resolved...I am so tired and frustated with all of it...
                        I asked a replacement of my laptop which they rejected .. I sent my invoices everything..
                        I have so mny email and telephonic conversations...
                        its seems I have no other work then to be behind this laptop...
                        I wasted my money on time on this laptop
                        dell has given an extremely bad service

                            I have purchased a dell laptop at reliance digital on 22nd of july 2015 of worth 42, 239/- and i found usb port not working. As it is not working from the begining i asked for replacement on 1st august 2015. Inspite of asking many times, they didn't even respond properly.

                            Very worst experience with dell.

                            Many of friends told me not to go with dell. Inspite i kept some trust and i bought it and it is costly(Rs 42, 239/-). But, these people they never keep their trust.

                            I am fed up with this issue.

                              Bought dell vostro desktop computer on 09.12.2015 with warranty.

                              Worst service ever seen. I heard of similar complain from friends yet i trusted you and made a mistake.

                              I called twice on dell centre first they kept the phone on hold and then gave us a try for almost 55 minutes ultimately hanging up the call. Whats the use of on sight service when you don't sole the issues of software.

                              Even your distributors are pathetic they talk as we we are there servants.

                              If possible would like to return the product back and refund the amount or solve it on priority.

                                My laptop had a problem like shutdown automatically, then i gave my laptop to laptop store dell authorised service center in (Marathahalli) bangalore, they said that the problem is in laptop battery ic, after few days they repaired my laptop and delivered. After few days i checked my laptop model and service tag at online, then i realized, the laptop store service center guys replaced my mother board with another model, they cheated me. My original laptop service tag is 7l7qpx1, they replaced with 1tc9yw1 service tag. So please be aware of dell service centers, so please check your laptops properly before you take from dell service centers.

                                  I have purchased Dell Tablet model no 5330 since last 2-3 months Hardware issue found i have submitted the same at Dell Authorized service station, at that time motherboard changed and problem solved but not provided Recovery disc/Pen drive from Service station side. After that service station sending recovery pendrive to me 2-3 times but problem not solved then i have submitted tablet at service station again but still problem not solved and dell recovery pen drive doesn't work. As of now service station told to purchase a 8gb pen drive to me for recovery but why should i purchased kindly provide me pen drive or Recovery asap.

                                  If my problem not solved then i will go to consumer court.

                                    I have been approached by Kiranmoy Bhowmick saying he is the relationship manager for a premium customer for my company. We have ordered for 5 units of computers on 1st March 2016 and we also have Installation service. I have raised below quoted issue to Kiranmony and he has not taken any action as of now and sent him 3 follow ups and not heard until now. My dell computer installation is still hanging and no response for any phone calls too. Tried calling Kiranmoy and his number (Office +[protected] ext. 3406208) is not reachable. I wonder what sort of customer service is provided by DELL? Following the order made on 1st March we received the computers on 8th March 2016 and since then the computer installation is not done yet.
                                    I am not happy with the services provided and want to make an official complaint here.

                                    • He also said that, he not able to identify some of the hardware parts provided in the box, and he don’t know how to install the parts given in the box.
                                    • As we are setting this systems for my startup corporate office in INDIA, we have not yet set up any IT team in our office.
                                    • The five systems which we purchased from Dell (without optical drive) is only to start our management Operation in INDIA.
                                    • As our requirement is a desktop with windows 10 OS and we don’t have any other hardware in our new office, we asked the installation person to setup the OS provided by dell.
                                    • But the installation person didn’t have any tools with him, he said that he is a fresh MCA graduate doing this job temporarily, and he will send some experienced person from his team on Monday (14th March) to complete the installation, which has not happened until today.

                                    We have long association with DELL in other countries, but in INDIA, this is our first experience.

                                    I request you to do the needful in regards to installation part without any further delay at the earliest to start our operation in India.

                                      I Debasis Sahoo on date 15.01.2015 purchased Dell Laptop from M/s NMS India, Hilpatna, Berhampur, Odisha bearing serial No 4CPN312 on full payment of consideration money of Rs35, 000/-. regret to say after few months said Laptop found defect in keyboard and hard disc, thereby i complained within warranty period before the retail counter, BAM:2nd Tota Street, Keshab Nagar, Lanjipalli, Berhampur-760008 and in Bhubaneswar, Mahanadi Appartment, Flat No 401, 4th Floor Near Time Gurukul, Gothpatna-751003, but surprisingly no one responded me rather they deliberately avoided on the pretext of warranty period is over. However, being induced by your company i have purchased the said defective Laptop, which amounts to cheating.
                                      Dell India customer support has been notified about the posted complaint.

                                        I purchased a Dell 13 7359 inspiron premium laptop which was good in the begining, but now


                                        The issue,

                                        is that, the speaker of the laptop I have starts making JHAR JHAR JHAR noise when I am playing some music etc and in the mean while the power is switched from AC to DC. This may happen due to power cut out due to manually removing the charging adaptor.

                                        My endevour:

                                        (1) I had complained for service/ repair to its toll free number.

                                        What Dell Did?
                                        [protected]----
                                        (1) They sent an engineer who after troubleshooting, came to a conclusion that there was a fault.
                                        (2) after, 5-7 days, They sent Motherboard, DC input cable and a pair of speakers, which were replaced and still the problem persisted.
                                        (3) the issue was escalated to higher support person, who after diagnosis (online) told that the problem is not an issue and it happens, when you switch between power sources and it is final.

                                        The MAIL they sent:
                                        Service Request Number[protected].

                                        "As discussed over the phone, we have checked the settings in your system, and the distortion of sound while switching the power supply is happening because hardware needs a little time to switch from power from adapter to power from battery and this is not an issue with the system, this is as per its design. We do not need to replace any hardware parts for the concern that you have reported and we are closing the case at this time."

                                        I am still facing the issue, and the problem is annoying. Please HELP.
