This is the incident that occurred on the night of 9 Jan 2022. I was taken there by a local boy in the pretext of being the only club that ran after 12. First they asked me 2500 rs cover charge entry fees and handed me 14 “free drink” coupons. After getting inside they told me the free coupons are not acceptable and I had to pay for whatever I ordered. There were no menu items below 4000. I didn’t order or have anything at all. I was just sitting inside for some time when I was asked to “choose a girl” (from the staff of the club). I declined straight away even then one of them just followed me everywhere I went. After some time she drank something that looked like water from a couple of shot glasses. I hadn’t ordered them nor was I asked about getting those. Even then they brought me a bill of 8000. The bill was hand written not even printed. And they didn’t allow me to take the bill outside or even take a photo of the bill. They charged me for drinks that I didn’t order!! They told the drinks were had by the girl sitting beside me(club staff). When I refused payment of the bill they threatened me with physical harm (not with police complaint or legal action). They said they’ll beat me up and I’ll never return from this club. Fearing physical harm and the fact that I was a tourist in Goa I paid the bill partially (4000) and ran out of there.
The entire experience leads me to believe that I’m not a one-off incident in the club but in fact the entire clubs business model is built around scamming tourists.
The Google reviews for this club will attest to the above facts that this club only targets gullible tourists and is run by local people. There are over 50 (as of the time of writing this complaint) 1 star review for the establishment out of the total 54 reviews on Google.
I only desire that I be returned my money that I paid for not ordering anything at all (2500+4000). And pls take action against the club as I saw many many other victims sitting inside on the night of the incident.
The club should be sealed and the owners arrested so as to avoid further incidents of fraud and scam with Goan tourists.
