I purchased an automatic RO aqua guard thinking that this brand is a very old company in India. But after purchase now its like I have cut my legs with my own hands. Now I am trapped with poor service, poor customer care,very very costly maintenance fees(costly AMC).
My story is, I purchased this product 2 years back around 14 k. Within warranty period every 3 rd of the month I need an maintenance of the filter. Then just in 11 the month, just before warranty period end the machine did not work properly, the service guy changed the filters including Ro filter inside the box. After 7 days again I got bad water. Then I complained again . Again the service person came after few days of complaint, the service guy told me that the ro filter is again not working, I asked him how come it is changed only 7 days back? He answered it is bcos of some other filter which is also not good has to be changed and which causes this ro filter also in bad position. Then I asked him boss this is only 7 days before you guys have investigated, and when you know that the some other units need to be changed including the to unit , why you did not changed it. Then he insisted me take the AMC as it is going to expire and they will change the whole filter units inside the box. Boss it is in warranty, sir. The units inside the box are not in warranty he replied. Then what comes in warranty, he told me that the electrical jnit s like motor comes under warranty only and if you tame AMC then only the filter units inside the box will be repaired.
I am just shocked, the purpose for which I am buying a product is not in warranty, why the hell I have purchased this. Then I came to know that the to unit which they have changed last time Is a re cycled one.
AMC is per annum is around 4000, which is just about one third of the price of the product, in 3 years it will go beyond the base product.
Finally I paid thevAMC to rectify it , bcos its difficult to decide again to go for a new brand bcos it need to invest again around 15k. I will definitely change it next year.
If you are planning don't buy this product, go for some other good brands which have lower maintenance year after year. There are good brands which need around 600 to 1000 with heavy usage of water. Checjbwith your friends. But don't buy Auaguard.
Bcos this company knows water is very crucial for all, specially when you have kids. You can't compromise. But you should have peace of mind after purchase
Eureka Forbes Ltd — No Service during contract period
I am the owner of Eureka Forbes Inova Water Purifier (4yrs) . I always enter into a service contract with the company to get the machine serviced . They always assure me thet their representative would come every 4 months to do the same at the time of collecting the cheque. But then they just do not keep their word. Inspite of repeated calls to their call centre no one has come to service the machine . I had entered into the service contract last year on 29th Sept 2007.Till date no representative has come to service the machine.
