Hi there,
I'm Naman, a frequent buyer form Flipkart.com from my different accounts. One linked with my mobile number +91-[protected] and other linked with my e-mail ID [protected]@gmail.com.
I've recently ordered an iPhone 6s (Space Grey, 16GB), Order number: OD[protected], from Flipkart at No Cost EMI and exchange of my old device (which I ordered from Flipkart only).
To my unexpected belief, after buying 4 phones and a lot of other things from Flipkart, I received a duplicate accessory along with my Apple iPhone 6s. The charger along with my iPhone is duplicate, since it doesn't have any Serial number on it (which Apple uses to authenticate the accessory and covers under warranty). After I learnt that it's a duplicate, I immediately launched a Replacement Request on Flipkart.
Concerning to my Replacement request, I received a call form one of the executives to whom I explained my case and was awaiting a confirmation regarding the next steps. But again, shockingly I received another notification message that my replacement request is now a "Return Request" since the seller has denied the replacement.
Now, ideally, if it were to be returned, only my charger was to be returned and given a new one. But, to my disbelief, I was told to pack my device as it came, along with all accessories, because it was to picked by one of the eKart executive, for which I will receive the total refund of the product.
Now, I bought this phone on a price of INR 41, 999 on which I was given INR 6, 000 of my old device and the remaining amount was to become the EMI of INR 3, 000 for 12 months (since it was a no cost EMI).
I'm being told, that I will get the amount which I paid through Credit Card (INR 33, 457), on my card itself, amount of device exchanged - INR 6, 000 will be credited to my Flipkart Wallet. Which, the amount INR 2, 600 promotion off, which was to be added in my EMIs I got from Flipkart against my no cost EMI, I will loose that amount. Also, the amount in my Flipkart Wallet will be useless for me too, since if this is the service quality I'll get after spending about INR 1 Lac on Flipkart, I will never look back to buy from Flipkart ever, anyday!
So, in all, I will loose an amount of INR 8, 000, just because Flipkart didn't authenticate the product before shipping it to the customer. Really ? And why do you think, your customer will bear the lose without his/her fault ?
This is completely UNACCEPTABLE and I'm deeply SADDENED & DISAPPOINTED with the way Flipkart has started dealing with their customers.
I'm definitely going to write a good heavy letter to Apple and escalate this matter against duplicacy of products sold over one of the giant e-commerce company with the consumer forum and against my seller, who shipped the duplicate product, if my matter doesn't solves here.
