I ordered a laptop with a delivery date on 5th Nov from flipkart. However, it is still not delivered as on 8th Nov and repeated attempts to contact them have not resulted in them getting back and informing me what the reason for delay is, what the status is and by when it will actually be delivered. There seems to be no apathy at the company as despite me informing them via chat and call, that I had ordered for a specific date because I had travel plans, all they say is that the backend team will call me but there is no call being received despite waiting for so many days. Would recommend everyone to please avoid flipkart for purchasing any high vale items or items where you need delivery by a certain date as it seems that their processes are neither setup to ensure on time delivery not to at least keep customers informed. In fact, the lack of responsiveness to customer requests, is remarkably frustrating in this day and age when most companies are providing exceptional service.
Flipkart customer support has been notified about the posted complaint.

Updated by VivekArya123 Also the number provided by Flipkart for grievance officer on consumer complaints website i.e. +[protected] is itsel[censored]nreachable and out of coverage area. Fits in well with the kind of consumer focus shown by their customer support department.

Updated by VivekArya123 Now, 5 days after a delay, the maximum courtesy that flipkart has shown is to send an automated call that the seller has now decided to cancel the order. It was a thoroughly frustrating experience which has made it clear to me that I should never again purchase anything via flipkart.
