I had ordered a smartphone realme x3 on 7 july 2020 from flipkart. I received the phone on 12 july 2020 and found that the specifications mentioned on flipkart did not match to what i received. It is clearly mentioned on the website of flipkart that the phone has call recording feature. But there is no such feature in the phone which i received.
I then informed flipkart support team about it, so they raised a replacement request for the product. They delayed the replacement for more than 2 weeks. I got my replaced product on 29 july. But, by then i confirmed from realme support that realme x3 phone does not have call recording feature. So without opening the package i requested flipkart support team to take the replaced product back and provide me refund, since there was no point in opening the product, as the company itself have not provided the call recording feature. The flipkart support team agreed and ensured me that they will refund the amount after their technical team confirms the problem.
The flipkart technical guy arrived, but he did not open the box and check the issue, he said since the product is as it is there is no need to open and check the issue. He assured me that product will be returned and refund will be provided to you. But then suddenly on the same day flipkart rejected my refund request. I talked with flipkart support team, they informed that since the product is box packed and un-opened, the inspection could not been done and hence we cannot refund the amount.
I urged them to re-raise the request, they said me to unbox the product on call itself and then check whether same issue persist, then only they can raise the request. Again, this replaced product had the same issue, so then they raised the request and now today i got the message saying “ important update: your return request for realme x3 (Arctic white, 128 gb) is rejected due to a mismatch between the selected reason and the comments entered. Please reply to the email sent to you on your registered email address [protected]@gmail.com within 48 hrs so that the seller can fulfill your return request. Regards, flipkart”. Please note all the comments and raising of the request was done by flipkart support team, they purposely entered 2 different things to reject my request. I have mentioned the same issue more than 10 times to flipkart, even than they say there is mismatch in the reason. I am being continuously harassed by flipkart by repeatedly asking same questions, not replying to my mails and rejecting my request for no reasons.
It’s almost a month now since i ordered the product and my issue is still not solved. I request flipkart to give me the refund of the phone as there is faulty presentation of the specifications on their site and they are unable to solve the same through their replacement policy. Please find all the proofs of the communication, false representation and dishonest assurance from flipkart and other relevant files attached herewith this complaint. There is a hefty amount of rs 26, 000 at stake. I cannot let that amount go because of flipkart’s mistake. So, i request flipkart to kindly refund my amount.
