I had Hathway broadband connection during 2014 and when I had to relocate to a new place, I requested for a relocation with Hathway broadband but that place did had the option to have Hathway connection. so the Hathway team sent a mail saying, we cannot provide service to that particular location.

I requested for a disconnection and they sent me bills for two more months though the connection was removed from my old residence. I paid that also and requested to disconnect the broadband. They accepted it and sent a mail saying, "Please ignore the bills sent from Hathway team" and asked me to give a date to return the modem. I sent a timeslot, and a person came to collect the modem and he collected it and gave me receipt for the same.

Since the hathway team said to ignore the bills, I ignored it after that. Later by 2017 I relocated to a different place and took Hathway connection again. And now I am currently a Hathway customer. But all of a sudden I got a call one day from CIBIL team saying, "If I dont pay the pending bill amount (Rs.6000) to Hathway, they will file a case against me in court and I have to proceed it further through court." And they asked me to pay within that evening itself. Since they were threatening me saying this, I ended up paying it.

But later i realised this was for those ignored bills of my previous connection with Hathway three years earlier.

Now I have all the related " interaction mail chain, receipt given by the Hathway person while returning the modem etc". I forwarded everything to the Hathway team, and they are just saying apologies and saying, they cannot refund the amount though they knew very well that, this is a mistake from them only.

I cannot give Hathway Rs.6000 like charity. If I say few apologies, will they ignore my current bills for six months.?

Please help me in solving this issue.

    On Tuesday (10th July) your people upgraded router for better service (That’s what they told)
    After that we did not get the Internet
    We raised multiple complaints on this but I could not see any solution till now
    I got multiple service requests for the same complaint with no solution till now call multiple times for the same issue
    I don’t know what else I can do please provide me a solution

    Each time I call them they send a new service request message
    But they don't resolve any one.

    I have never seen such a worst service in my life.

      Dear Hathway,

      In January, 2018, I went for an annual subscription by paying advance money Rs. 14146 and now the same plan is available for Rs. 8388 which is 40% less than what I had paid in January, 2018. On discussing about this to Hathway local team via email, they say that they can't migrate my plan to the new plan which cost less than what it is currently now. Also, I requested them to cancel the plan for which they said that there won't be any refund. This is like cheating the customer, why should the customer pay for higher amount when the same is available for lesser price from the same vendor.

      Although the promised speed of 50Mbps was never given but still I didn't complain even when other Internet vendors like BSNL are giving 100Mbps at much less price.

      I have decided to back off from internet vendor which cheats its customers this way after my subscription gets over and also would request my friends to back out from the Hathway going further.

      I was really marketing Hathway to my friends to go for internet connection but now I don't feel like doing it as there is no trust.

        Dear Admin,

        I used to have a prepaid broadband internet connection from hathway in year 2016. Later as I had to move out of the address I closed the connection officially and hardware recovery team from Hathway collected the Modem.

        After fine 2 years I am getting calls from Delhi, person is claiming to be Hathway's lawyer and is asking to pay an amount of 4000 Rs approx. that too on the payment portal of Hathway (Strangest Part). If I fail to do so he will be filing a case against me in Delhi.

            My name is Kinjal Hindocha (hathway broadband AC No [protected]- PREPAID account closed 2 yrs back will bills paid).
            I am getting multiple calls([protected]) from some Delhi advocate troubling me that I didn't appear at court for hearing. Later she asked me to call the person who has filed complain against me.(Rakesh Sharma-[protected])
            Rakesh Sharma says I have to pay the due bills to Hathway in next 30 min or else I may have to pay Rs 45000 as a penalty in Delhi court.

            No notice, any sms, e mail was received previously on this. (Hathway and the advocate both had my number and e mail address, not sure why no communication was ever done before and now they want all money in 30 mins and they are not telling money for what)

            I had requested my service disconnection on December 12, 2015 which reflects in hathway system records as well. ( I cross checked by calling customer care).

            Atleast give me the clear details of why u are asking the amount for a closed prepaid connection with all bills cleared 2 years back??

            why all of a sudden from yesterday evening with 30 mins hathway want payment( without telling details and break up of money- for a closed PREPAID account with all payment done) or else come delhi, pay rs 45, 000 etc threats I am getting.

            I logged in website and checked from the option of

            quick pay-- broadband --. enter city and account number

            I get http 4003 error- website declined to show this page.

            On calling customer center last evening, they said they don't have information on details, they cant help and advised to visit nearest hathway office.

            Not sure what is happening and how can they trouble someone with false charges who has discontinued the service 2 years back with all prepaid bills paid

              Hello sir/Mam,

              I am using hathway broadband connection from last year December. Now I am shifted to new location in same Hyderabad and asked them to shift my connection. They are not shifting my connection and my data is wasting from last 10 days and they are keeping in hold also.
              My connection id of hathway is [protected].
              I have raised connection shift req 3 times and no response from them.
              Either shift my connection or else refund my amount which I paid for broadband bill up to December 2018.

                Dear Hathway,

                At the outset I am very upset to inform you that I made a lifes big mistake by taking a Hathway cable connection for which I am repenting and I will resolve my problem myself by switching over to another service provider alongwith my 450 neighbours because even after 48 hours of my request to my local service provider and Hathway customer care my simple problem is not yet resolved. I don't think it will happen in near future and good bye to you all.

                  My hathway package is active the cable operator came and cut my cable without my knowledge. Also whenever I say cable is not working...he will say cable wire is problem I need to change it. The technician us worst person they are having...he connected the cable to loop in Port and saying your cable won't take until cable wire is fixed...I changed the port and it was working

                    My name is Ravi Sajwani Hathway AC no. Holding [protected] I had hathway PREPAID internet connection 3 yrs back.I decided to terminate the Hathway Broadband services so i went to the Kothrud (Pune) office to close my account. They informed me that an executive will come to collect the router and refund will be initiated after that and told me that my account is closed.
                    However no one came and picked up the router and now suddenly after 3 yrs I'm receiving call to pay 5718 or else case will be filed against me in Delhi High Court.

                    I mean how this is possible that i have to pay for my PREPAID connection which i havent used from last 3 years.
                    In prepaid connection, I have to recharge first then only i will be getting the broandband services. It is highly not possible that I have any due amount to be paid.

                      I have received a message on 12th July 2018 saying
                      "Legal Notice has been sent to user LAKSHMAN BACHU for Hathway Broadband A/c No.[protected] Plz pay immediately Rs3897.31 to avoid further legal action. For any query cont Legal Team [protected], [protected]"

                      I was using hathway broadband till Feb 2016 beginning. My connection was converted to 50GB plan from 25GB in the Month of Dec 2015 without me asking for it and I have complained about the same during December 2015 and January 2016 then the team told me to pay for the 25GB subscription only then I have paid and asked them to change it back to 25GB plan or disconnect, They have deactivated my account and sent me a bill for 490Rs which was difference to be paid for 50GB plan which I have never asked them to activate. I have cleared all the bills for the 25GB for the duration my connection was active. Also, I am not sure why would I incur a bill of 3897Rs on a prepaid connection

                          My name is Ramachandra B, I had opted for internet connection, account no.[protected]. I paid the amount for annual subscription on Saturday night i.e. 07-Jul-18.
                          Until today (a week), I did not get the internet access. "They are still saying that need 2 days" While reaching out the concern person, he is been telling the same story "it will be done today". I don't know how to continue with your broadband being this kind of worst service at the initial stage.
                          Please help me get the necessary access ASAP or return the money.

                            I am shifted to my new house in October 2017 and I personally call to customer support team to close my account permanently, because hathway service is not available to my new location.

                            Till today's date my account was closed and no emails or SMS is sent to me that you have to pay 10781 RS.

                            2 Days before I received call from person and saying that Hathway company has register case on you because of 10781 amount dues. They registered case on me as Fraud and you will fine a Rs of 30000 and 3 months jail.

                            How hathway will charge if my connection is closed..?
                            Hathway must have all data how much customer have used and where they have used the internet data..?

                            And before registering case in court why they are not calling to customer ?
                            Hathway should call to customer and should say that "we are registering case on you because of XYZ reason "

                            At least customer will do the next step or will ask for Help with someone.

                            Please tell me What should I do in this situation...I really need help

                              Since 2 weeks I’m getting low bandwidth and today is the worst day for bandwidth. Yesterday I was getting around 4-4.5 Mbps and today I’m getting 1.5-2.5 Mbps.

                              I had also informed the GTPL customer care and support team for this issue but no action taken till today. No one comes to resolve an issue. Company advertise that they provide 6Mbps on their home page but when I asked technician he had refused my statement and told that company didn’t provide full bandwidth it provides upto 6Mbps. Does it mean 1-2-3 Mbps??😡🤬

                              Customer care doesn’t take care about your complaint and it closes complaints with dummy comments like visited customer place although they never comes to visit.

                              They only calls multiple time when your renewal date is on due.

                                When I contacted the Hathway customer line to inquire about the broadband connections, I was given a call from a salesman.

                                He told me that my need to get wifi in my house immediately (for work purposed would be possible). He was persistent and kept following up until the 6 months payment was made.

                                Day 1: Once I paid, he promised me that the very next day at 10:30am, the technician would come and place the router. I cancelled my morning appointment and waited..and waited.. and nothing. I tried calling him, but I got no response. Finally at 2pm I left the house and called him from some other phone. He picked up the phone and said that by 5pm someone would come. No body came, then he said at 7pm somebody would come and then 8pm.
                                Finally he said that at 8am the next day somebody would come.

                                Day 2: Nobody came in the morning. I left for work and called him and no response. I told him when I would be back from work and at what time to send someone. He told me that someone would come by 7:30pm. Nobody came. No response to phone call or message.

                                Day 3: I called him again and he said that the router guy will come to my house at 5:30pm. I left work 2 hours early, thinking that I could work from home once the router is set up. The router guy did show up, but when he tried to get the wifi to start, he told me that the salesman had not uploaded my documents and hence activation was not done.

                                Day 4: I called the salesman and he told me that the activation will happen in 40 mins and my wifi will start working immediately, it's been 5 hours and yet no activation or call from him, or response from his side.

                                I have work to do from home and the primary reason I took Hathway was because the salesman assured me that I would get the setup done in 24 hours.

                                I want to cancel my subscription but the helpline people have said that there is no refund given on cancellation. I have paid 5600!

                                To the Hathway Team, please train your salesmen and give me back my money, as you don't seem to want to set up my internet. I've recently started working and this is a big amount for me.

                                Also, please take some action against the salesman who has registered my account. His behavior, way of talking and lies has crossed boundaries.

                                  As shifted my home, i requested hathway team for installation in my new place. I have submitted two requests 08072018W120357 on[protected] and 01072018W005775 on[protected] and both of them are closed saying non-feasible. When i called hathway for new connection, they are saying that its feasible for new connection. What is this?

                                  I am really having a hard time as this is something which is in appropriate. I really want to continue with Hathway as Internet services are vey good but I don't have any choice left to close the connection and get the refund.

                                    There is no internet service from Hathway since 24th June at my house. Waited 2 days and logged first complain on 26th June which got auto-closed, logged another complain on 29th June which has been ongoing. There has been no communication from Hathway. Everytime I call them, they say it is a cable/permission issue which would take 3-4 days. But no one confirms when the issue would be sorted and no one calls back to update. I mailed them asking to terminate my connection and refund my balance amount of the year, but no response on mails as well.

                                    Can you please help

                                    I am having horrifying experience with Hathway. False commitment and bad customer service. They are really not bothered for customers. I am waiting for 20 days for installation till now not done. Pathetic.I am going to ask for cancellation and refund.

                                      Hello,
                                      I HAVE BEEN USING HATHWAY BRAODBAND CONNECTION IN CHENNAI. My broadband stopped working though my connection is active. Checked with customer care and they said account is with another name. How can my account be with another customer, we requested them to change my credentials and issue was resolved. Again same issue happened on 8th July 2018 32 days from earlier compaint where credentials weere changed. This time no proper response and no action from management

                                        Customer ID - [protected]

                                        I had got a call from Hathway to recharge for Rs.3536 (3 month + 1 month an additional offer) 4 month subscription.

                                        Post recharge I was not given the offer, I had followed up with many calls & no proper response.

                                        Hathway is not ready to refund the money.

                                        No option to change the plans.

                                        No Cash back options are available.

                                        Customer service were rushing to close the call & run away. Least helpful!!

                                        Kind request is not to punish the middle class people. Always consider to refund the money, if the offers are not valid.
                                        Hi, I will be relocating to abroad so I request to close my hathway broadband connection.
                                        I spoke with customer support and informed them but still getting payment reminder call.
