I was a prepaid customer of hathway broadband till oct-2015 with account no - 1105574.in first week of november i moved from pimpri chinchwad area because of job change and requested closure of the account and discontinued using the hathway service. I have communicated the same to hathway person "arjun"- [protected]. But even after closing the connection i was getting these emails for bill generation which was out of my understanding as i was prepaid customer and they cannot generate bills for a prepaid connection. Prepaid itself means one has paid for using the service in advance so how can they generate the bill for my account.

I contacted the customer support and they told me to ignore the bills and assured my that they will take care of it as it can be mistake by their billing department. I have logged complaints as well against them - one of number i have is[protected]. But now after almost three years i'm getting calls from person claiming to be from delhi consumer court and asking me to pay the bill of 5000+ or else a criminal case will be filed against me. The way they talk is very rude and they doesn't even sound professionals so i ignored those calls as i know i haven't used the service from 2015 so i am not liable to pay these fake bills. Now i am getting the message from bv-legalb stating a legal notice has been sent to user for hathway broadband a/c no - [protected] which is different from my account number when i was using hathway (My account number was - 1105574 its mentioned in their bills).in the message they mentioned to contact legal team at [protected], [protected].

I've mailed to hathway ([protected]@hathway.net, [protected]@hathway.net, digital. [protected]@hathway.net) a number of time but there was no response from there side explaining why they have generated such fake bills on an account which is closed and not in use from 2015. And how they have issued different account number on my name without communicating with me. This is a complete case of fraud to extract money from customers by generating fake bills and harassment from hathway as it is just disturbing me daily and they are not ready to give any explanation or resolving the issue. I've seen a lot of complaints similar to mine so wanted to knock the door of consumer complaints to get this resolved.

Still getting the same annoying calls. I wonder if Hathway knows the definition of PREPAID customer or not. They just reply here we have forwarded your concern to our team but I don't think they ever did that. No one from hathway contacted me to clarify why the bills got generated for a closed pre-paid connection after 3 years.

    Hi,

    I used hathway internet 2 years back. I requested to disconnect the service in the month of october 2016 by calling customer care and also dropping mail to hathway customer care ([protected]@hathway.net). Customer care person also raised 2 service tickets for closing. However i didnt receive any response from hathway about closing status. I again recheck by dropping another mail next month to get the confirmation but again no response. Since october 2016, when i raised the closing request i stop using hathway internet. However to my surprise, i keep on receiving bills every month over email for next 6-7 months.

    Finally last week, i got a message as below today and also get call from unknown number (+[protected] saying calling from delhi high court:

    Legal notice has been sent to user xxxxxxxxx for hathway broadband a/c no.[protected] plz pay immediately rs 8537.21 to avoid further legal action. For any query cont legal team [protected], [protected]

    Why should i pay the amount if i had not used the service at all. Even now also i again drop mail to customer care last week about the closing status, and again still no reponse from there side. I had proofs of all emails/ service tickets in my mail box which i had requested to stop the connection.

    Apart from this, if this are fake sms/call, then how come those delhi guys got our exact contact details and account number on hathway. It will be a serious security threat which i hope hathway should take immediate steps.

    My account number is [protected], I am facing internet disconnect issue from last 4 weeks. in-spite of several complaint no resolution provided. executing just refresh the modem and closes the ticket. I have almost raised more than 10 tickets but no resolution. Its really frustrating.

      They send me the legal notice to pay 14k for the broadband i never used. Don't know why they are doing such things. I have closed the connection on 30 july 2016 and have paid till 31 july 2016. So ideally no bill should come now. But they send me mail in august that connection will barred from 18 aug 2016 and then again send me the bill for august in september for the barred services. I talked to customer care and they said ok we got the modem and connection is already closed so now no further bill. Then also they send the bills. What to do?

        Hathway lawyer threating me legal notice from hathway broadband stating outstanding bill payment of rs. 2900 on my account with them. However, i had already discontinued their services last year and handovered router device to their employee who visited my house. All the bills were paid at the time of submission of router to their employee and no outstanding dues were pending on my account. I dont know for what they have sent me legal notice when i have not used their services for last one year neither i have received any bill from them till date for the usage charges. Then how can they sent me legal notice? Please help me in this regards. My family is scared because of this trouble caused by hathway broadband. Please help.

          I am sandeep dhillon purchased a new broadband connection from hathway account number is [protected] my location is paschim vihar new delhi, the guy satis vashisht working for pathway paschim vihar sales team cam to my house and sold me 2 months package and took cash from me rs 1770 he promised that i will be getting 50 mbps speed but it was all fake and a big lie i am only getting 8 mbps download speed and 4 mbps upload speed by testing on speed test i called him several times but he disconnected my calls and than after 15 mins i received a call from +91 [protected] and this guy said we received your complaint from customer service and he was faking it he was one of his friend working with him and abused me on the phone and said do what ever u can now i gave him the cash and connection is active so there was no help and he was threatening me on phone, i feel really petty for pathway because soon you guys will loose this business because u have gundaas in your company. I need my money back full refund

              Myself aditya singh, discontinued my hathway broadband service ([protected])two years ago, which was prepaid. But now suddenly they are making various calls and threatening me to pay amount Rs2190 otherwise they would be taking legal actions against me and even giving messages on mobile to pay amount immediately to avoid charges. So now what to do, no response from customer care. I also checked the number from where they called and its showing spam.

                Hi,

                I used hathway internet 3 years back which is a connection. I requested to disconnect the service while i was shifting my house in dec 2015. However no response from hathway. So i requested to close the connection and they said ok. However, i keep on receiving bills every month over email with a different account number on my name. I raised a support case over email to pune bill desk, but there was no response from them. Finally, i got a message as below today:

                Legal notice has been sent to user xxxxxxxxx for hathway broadband a/c no.[protected] plz pay immediately rs.15367.0 to avoid further legal action. For any query cont legal team

                Adding to this i am getting call's on every saturday for legal action. Saying we have sent the legal notice to my address. I have enquired to previous address about the notice from hathway, but they i didn't receive any notice till date.

                Why should i pay the amount if i had not used the service at all. I complained to stop commection and it was the failure of hathway support to stop connection irrespective of multiple reminders to stop connection and hathway send the legal notice to me now? I am not ready to pay amount as i had not used the service. Moreover, my connection was prepaid.

                This is harassment and instead legal action needs to be taken against them for this

                    Promising services and by not completing their promised services.
                    Sir hathway promised me a cctv camera installtion for free with in 10 days service to me if i take their services but not only they did'nt install a camera if ask them now they tell t&c applicable (If we install cctv you not disconnect internet, if camera is broken then you pay money).
                    My a/c no.[protected] after payment the net is getting disconnect some time to upload small file also it is taking lot of time. I have raised complaint also but no bother about that.

                        I have paid for hatchway broadband connection in chennai - thoraipakkam. As they haven't done the installation within 10 days of payment, i put the cancellation request. I have been told that i will get refund in 10 days. I still have modam with me, nobody came to take it and no one is contacting at all.
                        Today have completed 1 month for cancellation request and still i am yet to get the refund.
                        For your information i have raised cancellation request on 9 july and request number is[protected]w127496-1. I have been told that i will be getting the refund of the amount within next 15 days.
                        I have not received the refund of the same. Don't know why, in between the ticket has been closed. Today, again i received customer care call stating they are raising ticket now and i will get money in next 10 days stating about new ticket no. 02082018w581048.

                          I've used the hathway connection in pune from june, 2016 to jan, 2017. Later, i need to disconnect the connection, due to relocation. Before moving from pune, i approached hathway multiple times through call and also dropped them an email to disconnect my connection, even though mine was a pre-paid connection. But they didn't responded (I've all un-answered email available) and now after 2 years the company hathway is threatening me with a legal actions for some fictitious usage bills.

                          So now again after calling them multiple times, they have asked me to connect with the local office to close it. But the local office was unable to help, since they couldn't login to my account (Since the account is from different location).

                          In-short hathway didn't disconnected the service after request and now they are threatening me.

                            I taken the hathway broadband connection on 16th - april-2016 in dvg road basavanagudi area. I used it for exactly 1 month after that i returned all the equipments like router, cable, wire to the basavanagudi collecting team, they people recollect the things and told i will request my manager to disconnect your broadband connection. After that i called to customer care to disconnect the connection, customer care people told, please contact your nearest branch officers. After that i called to basavanagudi team to disconnect my broadband connection, they people told definitely i will disconnect your broadband connection. After 10 days i got one call from hathway, they people told sir you want to get new connection then i told no in my pg already having wifi, so i don't need broadband connection. That part of time i requested them to if my connection is not disconnected, please disconnect it. After that more than 15 times i got called from the hathway for the same and every time i told please disconnect my connection, if connection is not disconnected and don't call again and again.
                            But since one month (June 2018) weekly two times i am getting the message from legal team that your balance is 3839rs., i was keep ignoring, 1-2 times i called and told, i already disconnect the broadband connection 2 years back only.
                            But today (10th-august-2018) i got one call they told you have to pay 3839 rs. Or else i will registered your case after that you have to pay 50, 000rs or 1, 00, 000rs. The number i got call is - [protected] and he was telling i am talking from delhi court and you have to pay the bill or else warrant will issue on you.
                            I want to know why hathway customer care people din't disconnected my broadband connection and why i have to pay inr 3839rs. Is this the way i can trust to this company or any one else will trust.
                            I logged in today to hathway website after getting legal call from [protected] to pay 3839/- my connection is still active.
                            Hope legal team people will do something needful for customer trust.

                              Without informing us, you guys raised huge amount of 7990. We didnt even used internet. Now calling us and informing that, it have now raised till huge amount. Not at all satisfied. I already told a terminal guy from your team to disconnect still raised this huge amount. Please send a guy and take this hathway internet wifi box with you and to disconnected the hathway internet

                                As i have used the hathway broadband connection in the year of 2016 and i have taken the connection for three months after we have cancelled that connection now they are sending mails to us pay the next three months of amount due to not informed to the cancel the connection at that time we had informed very clearly to them please deactivate the account but they are not deactivated that account now they are sending the mails through the legal team we are not responsible for that

                                  I request them for shifting my connection to another area. Initially they said like we will transfer you connection. After that i have paid my bill amount for upcoming month after their confirmation.

                                  Now we have shifted my home after that i checked with them for relocation they are saying like no connection feasibility for your area. They should inform this earlier. So that i may not paid my next month bill amount.

                                  I haven't use my internet connection after my bill payment. Now i asked them to disconnect the plan they haven't refund my amount.

                                    Setup not working they are not repairing forcing me to purchase new setup box
                                    This is 4th setup box that gone bad

                                    I complained to local cable operator mulund east that mine hathway setup goes in standyby mode (Orange light) and then not goes to green light
                                    It is occuring from more than 2 months. Mine pincode is 400080

                                    When i watch tv the setup box enter standby mode and then doing all things like switch off power supply and then switch on the box not returns to to green light

                                    They said purchase new setup box thats all nothing more
                                    Not giving even address where to get setup box repair

                                    I asked them please repair it they told hathway dont repair setup box u have to purchase new one
                                    I told them please tell me where to repair it they said they dont know

                                    This is 4 setup box that got problem
                                    I purchased 4 hathway setup box till now, now i will purchase none of there box.

                                    Also i gave hathway setup box which has problem hd s 6300 model to local cable operator they said it cant be repaiered and then they not return it
                                    They said they dont return it is hathway property
                                    How it is hathway property when i paid full amount for purchasing setup box

                                    They told the box is been given in scrap i said i paid full amount to purchase it
                                    I am customer of hathway from 10 years now

                                    What to do
                                    This way they treat customers
                                    If the bow is in warranty they repair it now it is out of warranty they dont want to repair it i am ready to pay for repairs

                                      I have discontinued hathway internet service around 2 years ago as i shifted to another house and also using the the hathway connection in new house too.
                                      I also given them the modem before leaving old house.

                                      I have now received an sms saying that demand notice is generated and legal action will be taken if rs.6337 is not paid.

                                      This is harassment and instead legal action needs to be taken against them for this. V
