I took gtpl connection around 2 months ago and i have faced internet disconnection atleast 15-20 times. The customer service is appalling and is very unprofessional.

I had to ring gtpl, they take the complaint - complaint number is generated and the internet starts working after 4-5 hours. This way, i have lost nearly a month without internet.
This has become a nuisance because it appears that customer has paid money to call gtpl customer service, get a complaint number and then the internet is back on.
This has become perpetual and i am unable to get a serious response from gtpl customer service as well as from their support team via email.

While i am out of town, and my old gentleman (Grandfather) rings gtpl when there is no internet, he is being told: "to connect the ethernet cable from here to there... Open bla bla bla from control panel, click menu, click network setting, click start up huh"... When my old gentleman does not understand anything after trying, the frustrated customer agent at gtpl says we cannot help you and they will need someone who knows computer. (I am sorry grandpa, you should have learnt computer in 1960's to avoid this problem, huh)

Note: firstly, we paid money to have the internet. We did not pay money to call gtpl to inform the internet is not working and also we were not told that in order to buy gtpl internet, there has to be a computer genius at home. Wow.

We understand in this day and age, technical glitches can occur, the internet can go off, however, when the things become perpetual, it is not acceptable at all.

Consumer complaints should take this issue seriously and fine gtpl for their unprofessional customer service and not having a feature implement which detects that the internet is not on in following areas, instead, they want the customers to call and inform them.

Note2: there is no compensation or a goodwill gesture to keep customers happy. We paid money to get the internet. If you cannot provide the internet as promised, why don't gtpl have a compensation in place, in order to keep the customers happy?

    We are not happy with hathway's after-service.
    On[protected] we de-activated your connection, because i had my younger brother's exams. So we were told to return the router & modem for which we will get rs 1000/- back, as it was taken as deposit money. I have the receipt of that particular date. Ill attach it below.
    The name on the account was return wrong. There was a spelling mistake from the time we started our new connection. So the technician told me to mail all the information regarding name at [protected]@hathway.com. I'll attach the screen shot of the mail below.
    Our acc no. Is [protected]. Name vipul doshi.

    I received the check between match or april, but still the name was written wrong.
    I personally visited the hathway office and submitted the id proof's and a written letter, the same month.

    Since then there is no response. The staff at the office began fighting with us, quote 'we cannot help you, it is with the billing department (Something like that) and is showing your check it ready dispatched, we will not help, i can only forward your requests". The phone number's they gave us are either wrong, unavailable or customer care. (Who deny helping). E-mailed hathway too.
    It's been 8 months for this thing and we haven't received our check back.
    I've been visiting the office at mira road twice a month. It's really very far away from were i stay. I am getting no response. I'm tired and fed up.
    I have got no other way to solve this.
    Though the amount involved is less but what if they do this thing with every customer?

      I would like to have my full refund as your broadband service and customer service is not acceptable.
      Contact no and gtpl no 9898*63.
      I have contacted mu local gtpl service provider 5 - 6 times and recently within 7 days this is my second complain again your service.
      Last week internet was cut off for 3 complete days.

      I would not accept this types of service. Hence, i would like to have full refund asap.
      If i will not get any reply within 48 hours i will contact consumer care and take this further.

        Hello
        I had 1 year of subscription of wifi with gtpl company.
        Everyweek they stop there service. When i call there customer care after complaing they start giving service again.
        But this time on 13 july i call them that wifi is not working. They took my complain and gave me complain no. From that day till today they say on call that they will resolve problem in 24 hr. But they dont make resovle our problem.
        Now from yesterday when i speak to there head about problem and he promised me that technision will visit. But nobody came on visit to see wifi. When i tried calling them they dont receive call and nobody came front to talk. I told them i have work on net. To use net pls resolve the problem. They dont understand anything. And just avoiding things. And now they even dont receive my calls. Pls help me out.

          It is a matter of great regret that your employees are too careless to solve the problems properly. After submission of my cheque, it is 6th day, i mean almost a week, my account id is not created. On sunday engineer came to set the modem.in modem, lights are not stabled also. Can you say me what's your problem actually?
          Please don't make me to move in consumer forum for any kind of legal action.

            Sir i am totally fed up with the faults commitments made at the time of convincing the customer to get new connection
            Same things made to us by hathway sales person named sonu [protected]
            The commitments made was 100 mbps speed

            I have confirmed several times before getting connections.
            When connection provided they show me speed upto 85 mbps over the wire and 65-75 mbps over wifi connections

            Later on i never got such speed and every times raised complaints they closed it at there end without getting my feedback and all this things is just their attempt to make us fool.

            i am attaching few snapsorts in this regard.
            Technician never visits and they only informed over the phone that issue will be resolved by 6 hr and drop the call and back end automatically closed the service complaint number.

              I lost my business of 20 crores due to non-availability of gtpl internet. The whole company was sitting quite due to this problem and still losing the business. We took the net connection on 15 july and since that time they are not providing continue internet and most of time its of[censored]pto 8 hours. If a company not having internet for 6 hour in day, than what will be loss so its a request to the consumer officer to ask the clarification about my this complaint and recovering of 20 crores loss from the managing director of gtpl.

                I paid a rs.1000 cheque in favour of hathway internet on 02/05/2017 for the above mentioned account number. I was promised a plan of rs.1000 for 3 months, 5mbps speed with unlimited data. However i got to know that the plan that has been actually provided to me is rs.661 for 3 months, 5mbps speed with 10 gb data.

                In order to get the issue resolved i mailed the company several times on 11/07/2017 and 12/07/2017 on different mailing id's and also called their customer care helpline.

                However i got no reply from the company at all. No initiative has been taken from their side to resolve the customer's problem.

                As my whole work is online and computer operated i've been facing a lot of problems because of the internet as the company has degraded my internet speed according to the false internet plan.

                  Hi all, below is the payment message i got from hathway.

                  "dear customer, your a/c[protected] renewal expiry is today, to avoid interruption, pls pay rs.2283/-*via www.hathway.net oreseva. Pls ignore if paid. Happy surfing!"

                  As requested i paid 2282/- before due date. Below is the confirmation message from hathway.

                  "dear customer, received payment of rs 2283 on 15-jul-17 with transaction id - r-8615111."

                  Now my connection is deactivated and when i contacted the costumer service, they said i have a due amount of 1000+ rupees (In 2014, 3years back) which i was never aware of. I'm sure there was no such due amount from my side all this 3 years but suddenly they added this amount today. This is nothing but fraud. Now my amount 2283/- (Postpaid) is of no use? Why would my connection be active for 3 years.
                  This is new fraud of hathway broadband by cheating coustmers after the all the payments are made and make extra money.

                  I am planning to approach consumer forum on hathway fraud (Or any other broadband) and filing cheating case on the company.

                  P. S. I'm not going to withdraw the complaint even if my issues is resolved. Why should i (Or any other coustmer) should suffer by this frauds. Such exploitation should be stopped at any cost.

                  My issue against Hathway has been has been resolved. Many thanks to this forum for accepting my case and making sure I get a prompt response. I thought of continuing this case to see how many other coustmers are victimised with Service providers like Hathway. But marked it as resolved to give credit to this website. Suggestion to Hathway:- 1) if there is a issue to a coustmer, why do you need 72 hours to respond? Please set up a process where the issue will be addressed whith in the same day(2 hrs) and let the coustmers know how much time you need to resolve it. Asking for 72 hours reflects the laid-back attitude towards such issues. I thank only this website for the issue resolved. No thanks to hathway for the trouble you caused. Please make sure to be more responsible when you are taking money for services.

                  I'm sure I have a proper case against this fraudsters Hathway. I will now take a new connection "Act fiber" or "Airtel". 2283/- rupees is not a issues for me, getting cheated is an issue.

                  Now only my issue, I will make sure these cheaters will have to compensate each and every coustmer they cheated till date. I request everyone who has been victims of such frauds to write to me at

                  We have Hathway connection at our office. When we did take hathway we were not informed anything about prepaid or post paid accounts. We have prepaid account. Hathway simply sends SMS stating that your payment is due and last date is so and so. They never send invoice by mail. When questioned i was rudely informed by customer support lady her supervisor and the manager that since we are pre paid consumers we are not entitled for the bill/invoice (One before that told me, prepaid consumers dont receive the invoice as we are most likly to change our broadband plan). But the same is never mentioned in writing. How can a company expect people to pay money without proper invoice or bill. Very bad service & their customer support.

                        Dear sir/ madam

                        My account no is [protected] i received a message and call from hathway on 29/04/2017 stating that if i recharge on the same day i will be getting 1 moth subscription extra along with additional gb which has been confirmed with customer care executives, but now renewal has been done for only 3months (2/05/2017 to 2/08/2017) instead of 4 months, i requested to you update the subcription date but billing dept asked me screenshot of msg since i have changed the mob i dont have any old msgs for that they haven't given any reply till date and the same subject has been lodged as complaint with no 02072017c7311 on 2/7/17 and 13072017w922891 on 13/7/17 got assurance that it will be updated by week but still i haven't got any update.

                            Hello,
                            I have been facing unacceptable issue with gtpl broadband.
                            I have taken connection around 14 days ago. After connection i have been issue with connection as it drops - doesn't work half day or full day.
                            To resolve this issue i have been contacting a local gtpl service provider.
                            On 11th july 2017, a local gtpl service provider has passed a contact number of gtpl customer service to contact them direct. As i have contacted them on the same day around 3:00pm due to not having broad band connection.
                            They told me, they will send an engineer to fix the issue on the same day.
                            Later night no one came to fix the issue, i have called again and spoke with team leader at gtpl. He confirmed it will be resolve within 24 hours after complain started.
                            It has been 24 hours and i called almost 10 times - still complain is not resolved.
                            I would like to have my money back if i have to get this service within couple of weeks later after the service installed.
                            Hathway / Gujarat Telelink [GTPL] customer support has been notified about the posted complaint.
                            I am contacting gtpl their 2call centre nos since 10days but they are not attending & mailed to Nodal officer, support but no out come yet.
                            Their service is worst Gtpl Chairman & all defaulters must be punished.

                              Customer helpline nos always busy and you get constantly engage tone even after making calls several times back to back or at different time and on different days... My wifi was facing authentication issue which they did not resolve and i have to pay extra and call a computer engineer to resolve the issue. I have always had disappointing experience with gtpl. They never seem to resolve customer issue. They do not seem to respect their customer. They only give false hope and cheat customer. Some serious legal action against this company need to be taken by the concerned authority

                                I have an account in hathway broadband a/c : [protected].

                                I was facing problem with internet seed issue and have called several times to customer care people and given so many complaints but the problem was not resolved.

                                This problem is occurring on every month but hathway team is not responding properly and daily they are sending account renewal sms 10 times per-day.

                                I have mailed to nodal officer also but no response from them. Need proper resolution and expecting a call back from them within 12 hrs.

                                I am not able to open speed test website also attached snapshot for your reference.

                                  Called Hathway thrice for cancellation. They say it is still under process. There is no complaints department. They take money immediately. They will not even care to respond once the payment is done.
                                  The agents I spoke with are Raju k and Srinivas from sales team. Every day I call them, they give a new date. Hathway does nothing about this. The case is open to now and no one cares about it.

                                  Now a new promise from Hathway saying it will be connected tomorrow i.e., 12/07/17.
                                  Promised by agent Srinivas sales team.
                                  I pleaded them for cancelling the service. They directly day it is not possible. The same agent promised that if the connection is not done by 12/07/16. He will himself cancel the service and return the money immediately.

                                    They charged me 2070 as a "special offer" for 3 months and the internet hasn't worked since day 1 due to a faulty modem that they provided. Their service is pathetic. It took 10 days of repeated phone calls and emails to have an engineer call me. I asked for cancellation on basis that i would get a refund as i have not used their services. However they have gone ahead and disconnected my account and are refusing to refund the amount.

                                      This is ramu. I paid my broadband monthly data through mobikwik mobile site. Money was deducted from my account but my data is not activated by hathway. I called hathway helpline center they told we are not merge with mobikwik and we will try solve your problem with in 24 hours. Already 72 hours. Completed still they are taking too much time. And i didn't get any message from mobikwik also.
                                      Please take action on them.

                                        My hathway details are below. It's been more than 7 days completed not having internet connection. I got feed up raising complaints and all. I doesn't under stand why u keep customer care number & even commit 24 hours of completing the complaint.

                                        Hathaway Digital cable service agency charges more than actual.

                                        Even After GST also the same is continuing.

                                        Entertainment tax charges.

                                        Hathway cable charges are different for different regions.
