One of the most ridiculous service ever received. I have just started a new connection and my net doesn't work at all or the sleep is so slow that you cannot open anything..I have installed this in my office and there is no internet since 3 days and I have been complaining everyday.

I have been calling everyday and one single answer I get is that internet will start in 1 hour.

Will never advice Hathway is anyone.. It is completely waste of money and your energy.

    One of the sales executive from Hathway Ansh took money in advance for the plan i chose four days back and promised the activation on the same day . Later he started making excuses and now he is not even answering my phone. Im sick and tired of Hathway and its after sales service. I want my money back. Such stupid people are spoiling Hathway's name.

      My name is Vijay Gangrade, I have recently shifted to new address.
      I took the Hathway connection on 12/06/2016 and after 3 months, I renewed the connection on 23/08/2016 and below are my customer Id and registered mobile number:

      I took this connection on my old address HNo. 51, Sector –C, Slice -3, Sch. 78, Vijay Nagar Indore. and when I got the connection
      I was assured by the Hathway team that they have whole area of Scheme no 78 covered in case if I move from my place to another location in the same scheme. Since I have moved to another address in same scheme I requested the Hathway Customer Care to transfer my connection from old address to my current address. I visited their office
      multiple times but didn't get clear response on when it will be moved.
      Today I again called the Hathway office to check the status and they told me that they
      do not have line or DP around and they cannot install a new one so they cannot provide
      me a connection over my current address.
      So I asked them to close my connection and refund my two months advance amount which
      I have deposited (when if cash or cheque mention here).
      I was very uncomfortable and felt cheated with their response as they said we cannot close
      the connection or refund your amount either as it's a pre paid deposit. I visited their office
      and they told me the same again and when I mentioned this is not the correct procedure they
      told me this is the company policy and for further queries please communicate with
      the mumbai head office.
      So I am writing this email to know what is the resolution to my problem and is this the company
      policy that the refund cannot be provided.

      I am really having a hard time as this is something which is in appropriate. I really want to continue with Hathway as Internet services are vey good but I don't have any choice left to close the connection and get the refund.

      We live in benson town post and there its mostly disconnection of cable facility is the main concern.we call the operator twice or thrice a week and sometimes he does his duty and most of the time he dont, which is why we suffer.

        I had purchased gtpl broadband internet connection around 5 months ago. During this period i had to complain many time just because of their very poor service. You can also check my previous complaints on this portal as well. Details are as under.


        1. Last week, the internet connection is down for whole day.

        2. After registering telephonic complain, i get the same answer that "our engineer will come and will resolved your answers 24 hours.

        Please urgently solve this complain & otherwise we have take other company internet your service closed immediately.

            I have been following up with customer care of Hathway for long time as they lowered the speed of my connection without any reason. Payment has been paid in advance but still the issue is not .resolved. they don't have any reason why they are lowering speed and asking me to send mail for the same. I did the same but still no revert from them.

              I submitted a registration form with Rs. 4200 to the sales person name Dhanaraj ([protected]), after a week they gave me the connection, it work for 15 days, then the connection were not working. I called to their customer support and the guy says that I have not paid any amount to them.. and in reality they do not even come for survey without paying full amount. and now the contact number of the sales person is switched off. Cheating with aurangabad customers. cheaters.

                Hello...I Am Alpesh Chavada from last 4 days I am continuously in touch with GTPL broadband customer care & They are saying your problem will resolved in 48 hour but still it is not pending.There technician is not bothered to visit also as they have promised our technician will come in 48 hour but till date no body is bothered to come..kindly do resolve this issue...

                  I have transferred my Gtpl connection from vallabh vidhyanagar to Vadodara on 9th September. They have charged 560 rupees for that. On 11th September my broadband was stopped working and I have filed complaint on 14th September and they told that your problem will be solved in 2 days. After that I have waited for 3 days and still broadband was not working so I called Gtpl Baroda broadband on 17th September and again they told that it will be resolved in 2 days. After that on 19th I have called nodal officer and he told me that give me 1 day. So I waited for 1 day but still no response. After that I have called Gtpl Baroda on 21st September 2016 and they again told me that it will be resolved in 2 days. After that I have frustrated and I have sent email to nodal officer regarding the matter and I got reply in email that we have raised the complaint to concerned department. Now today on 24 th September again my broadband is not working and i got reply like your problem will be resolved in 2 days. I don't know how much 2 days it will take but now I am exhausted and want justice and clear cut solution in no time.

                    I am very sorry to say but inspite of buying the pack of 50 mbps till 50 gb per month and then 2 mbps the speed i actually get is hardly 100 kbps.The download speed being very sad, makes it difficult for me to work on my projects and stuff.I request you to atleast provide the speed for which i am paying. please take a note of this as soon as possible.I will have to lodge a complaint in consumer court as against this, which wil be a trouble for me and alot more for you.

                      The service is very bad. the connection goes on and off always, and almost three or four days in a week i have to contact customer care . they put us on long hold for longer duration ..the problems are never resolved ..it is extremely slow most of the times, always the tasks remain incomplete, if we try to do with the help of internet.

                        I am very disappointed by manner in which hathway behaves with the new customer. i fear what they would be doing with old customer.

                        3 weeks i i thought of joining hathway for the data connection. i contacted the company and very promptly the person called me. the very next day he came to my house to collect the cheque. after which there is no contact. i told him, that i require the data quickly and he promised but i am still waiting.

                        I have called the company several times, they initiated the complain but i still have no clue where i am getting the connection. couple of days back i received sms saying my complain is completed. i am not sure who you have completed with because i still have no connection.

                        I hope you look at my concern and address the same.

                        You should understand just getting 1 cheque for new customer and do nothing does not look good at your part.

                          Recently I have moved to some other place in Bangalore where Hathway was not accessible. I didn't knew about non-accessibility, and recharged my account for the month of Sept. After I made a request for refund I was reverted back once that they have forwarded my request to the team and I will get updated by them. This happened around a week back and still I have no updates whatsoever it may be. I sent 2 mails to them regarding this and also I asked them on tweet too, but no luck.

                              I have been loyal customer of hathway for over 2 years now. Never had any issue with them and even recommended their services to other people.

                              Recently i upgraded my plan to a 40gb fup plan from a 25gb. The old 25gb plan usually lasted for a month or at least for three weeks with my typical usage.

                              Now normally the 40gb plan should last me lot longer considering my usage hasn't changed a bit. My fup gets renewed on 17th of every month. Today is 20th (Time i'm posting this) and i'm already out of fup. I use my data very carefully and i don't download any large files whatsoever except this month i had to download visual studio iso which was around 8gb in file size. Now it should leave me 32gb of fup but the speed's been already capped. I'm very disappointed with this and feeling cheated by hathway. The only reason i sticked with hathway is coz of the high speed fup.

                              If hathway doesn't revert with a satisfiable solution i'm discontinuing their service right away. Also the customer services never work, they're either busy or don't work at all. Maybe the keep changing the numbers to avoid the customers calls.

                              P. S: you may wondering my wifi network would've been compromised and some person maybe hogging my data. That's not the case. My wifi network is very secured. It has 20+ characters of password which i change routinely. I also check the active client table on my network every now and then.

                                My hathway broadband account number is 1273712. I converted it to post paid in march’16 and since then in every bill i have been charged “cpe charges of rs 15” twice. I noticed this 3 months ago and wrote to [protected]@hathway.net and [protected]@hathway.net however haven’t got any reply till now.

                                Every month i used to get calls from the people reminding me about my payment due date (Before the due date itself) and i use to mention about this.in reply the answer i used to get is that it would be fixed in next bill however it hasn’t been fixed till date.

                                This month i denied making the payment till this has been fixed and now i am getting calls from collection agents harassing me for payments. When i tried to stop him by saying that i will complain against them then he said that the “company have employed 100s of people to tackle complaints from customers like me” and even trai won’t be able to do anything in this. He said it’s my fault that i have not seen it before. He threatened me saying that he is sending people to take away the internet hardware from my house.

                                As per jurisdiction from honorable supreme court of india it is illegal to harass anyone for outstanding payments and that too when an ongoing billing dispute is pending.

                                So my request is to correct my bill, credit back the extra amount i have been paying every month and strict action to be taken against the person doing harassment calls for payments.

                                The last call i got was from mobile number “[protected]” and as expected the person denied to reveal his name and employee id.

                                  They are not giving me any satisfactory answer. Till this time, I raised three shifting requests but still no luck. I also sent an email to their support but did not get any response till this time.
                                  Give my money back or I have to post complain in police.

                                    I'm using Hathway broadband from past one year . Starting 3 months there were no issues but in 4th n 5th month technical problems started, internet was not there, if it is there net is slow and every month same technical problem, I complained about that, no proper response . From past 7 days no internet, I complained it. Customer service they didn't respond professionally . I called them 20 times in 7 days they just tell remove LAN cable n put it once again then internet will be there for 5 minutes or maximum one hour. I don't want there service any more and refund this month payment .

                                      Dear Consumer Complaints forum,

                                      I approached Hathway broadband on April 9th in order to install broadband connection at my home. These cheats at the time of payment talked about so many goodies and said that the connection would be installed in a day or two. However as soon as the money was deducted from my account - a full 3800 rs the executives started misbehaving with me when I called. I waited a full 9 days for my connection but to no avail. Finally the executives said that they don't have permission to lay connection in my area. If they did not have the permission to lay cable in my area by their supervisors, why did they collect money from me? This is pure fraud and cheating. I daily called Mr Praveen from Hathway and the Hathway customer care. The customer care executives are so incompetent, they never called me back and my complaint was put to resolved even without asking me once. Their cheating went to such levels, that when I asked for refund these cheats even denied that saying that my amount is not being reflected in the system. If my amount is not being reflected in their system, is that my fault? When they have to collect money they will weave huge lies and forgery, but when it comes to providing the connection they will start being themselves - Cheats. I strongly advice against taking services of these cheats if anybody does not want to lose their hard earned money to these fraudsters.
                                      I am attaching my receipt here. The money was collected by Mr Basavaraju from Hathway and along with him there was another person whose number is: [protected].

                                      I have been trying for a refund amount of 3800 Rs which I had paid for a subscription of Hathway internet for 3 months which I have still not received.

                                      I would like to request for a quick refund as soon as possible or else I will take legal action in a consumer court against the company for their gross misconduct.

                                        We have applied for transferring our GTPL cable connection as we have recently shifted to our new Home.
                                        Firstly we tried to connect with the local cable operators of our area on September 1, 2016. Initially we waited for resolution of our problem for a few days but since we dint received any positive response from their end we logged a request at Customer Portal for the same on Sept 7, 2016.
                                        After that we were assured that our problem will be resolved within 24 hours but that did not happen.
                                        Therefore we logged another complain regarding the same on Sept 9, 2016. Both the complaints were logged through online portal. There is no provision for providing Request Id for the registered complaints.
                                        We have also dropped mails to the nodal Officers and Appellate Authorities but there is no positive response from their end as well.

                                        Request you to kindly intervene into the matter as we are already loosing our money on each passing day.
