We got a 10 Mbps connection for 6 months in June and made an upfront payment of INR 13000. Now, every two-three days, we lose connectivity. Out of 2.5 months, the internet has not worked for almost a month. The technician's phone seldom gets picked up and if they do, they keep saying somebody will come to solve the problem. However, they want to come only on Sundays only because I have office from 10 am to 5 pm and they do not want to adjust their timings. I feel cheated as despite paying such huge amount, I have to use data from cell phone.

      Good noon sir,

      I had purchased GTPL broadband Internet connection around 4-5 months ago. During this period I had to complain many time just because of their very poor service. You can also check my previous complaints on this portal as well.

      Complaints Points :

      1. On weekend, every Sunday, the internet connection is down for whole day. It happens not for me only but for all the users near by me as well.

      2. After registering telephonic complain, I get the same answer that "Our engineer will come and will resolved your issue within 5 - 6 working days". But till today, no one has came to my home to resolve the issue.

      3. From last two days, I'm not getting proper internet connectivity and so, today I had tried to call at GTPL customer care but no one had picked up the call. I tried multiple times.

      4. I had also complain many times their technical team for the same issue via an email as well. Their technical team & local area agents are not having supportive nature as well. They come only to take payment for new connection or connection renewal.

      Please do something and below is the agent detail.

        After making prepayment for 1 month broadband service on 1sep2016, the service is still not activated as on 16.sep.16. Send repeated numbers of reminder on mail but they took no action.

          Hi,
          I have taken broadband connection and my Account no is 1601486 from Surat Area. I registered the issue at customer care - Surat, complaint no. is 17711329.
          A engineer visited my house and checked the issue on Tuesday, he confirmed me that there is cable problem. And cable has to be changed. After that I had regularly followed up with the Surat customer care dept. They are saying that "they we solve the problem" is the only comment.
          But no one has visited after that and only same comments from Surat customer care dept.
          This a bad experience from Surat Hathway team.
          Hope you will intervene and solve our issue on top priority.

                I am an existing Hathway customer A/C No - [protected]
                I have been using the service for almost 2 years. One June 6th 2016 while i was making online transaction I got error message and hence two times transaction was done. So for both transactions amount was deducted from my account. and there was no refund. When I checked with my bank they informed both the transactions were credited to hathway. But Hathway deactivated my account on September 9 2016. I have contacted customer care a lot of time and there is no response.

                Please do the needful or refund my amount.

                  Cable is unavailable in my area most of time, the cable operator doesnot pick up phone and does not respond.most of times he says that there is network problem in whole city.i am frustrated with this type of service.
                  in a day almost cable is unavailable in evening .error shown is
                  setup box is unable to receive signal. and this is not shown in my setupbox only, but also in all other neighbours of mine.

                      I undersigned, C/O Mr Shyam Jugade flat no 101 Srinivas apartment, right Bhusari colony, off paud road, Pune - 411038 have a digital cable connection with set top box.They have been collecting quarterly tariff of Rs 915.To pay the amount we contacted their office several times in July 1st week on phone number [protected] who claimed that they will send the rent collector immediately. However nobody turned up for 2 days.After which we visited office to pay.The lady personnel there refused to accept the money but assured that she will send the personnel immediately.He did arrive on the same day but did not have the instrument for providing the receipt. When my family members insisted that he should provide provisional hand written receipt which he refused . Since our cable connection was off for days together we visited office again & offered to pay the money however the lady at the counter at first refused to accept money and when we insisted she accepted the money without giving any receipt. However the cable started the next day.We, yet to receive the receipt till date.
                      Furthermore, out of 192 + regional channels we had paid for we had problems with few of regional channels .such as distortion of picture sometimes.We again contacted the office for visit of service personnel to visit to fix the problem.The lady at your office assuring us everyday that the personnel will visit immediately which turned out to be hoax. After 5 days of constant follow up the service personnel named Mr Mukesh visited in August second week. He stated that the Hathway main connection at Ground floor of our building is in order however the internal wiring /concealed wiring done by our builder is faulty. He stated that the wiring has to be provided for which he will charge Rs 400 .MY family members agreed for the same but insisted that he should provide the receipt . He refused for the same and walked away stating that if we agree on his terms we should contact him on his mobile no[protected].Subsequent to visit of Mr Mukesh we could receive only 4 channels instead of 190 plus channels received earlier.After which we contacted THEIR office in Pune for more than dozen times without any positive action from their side. our reception Is not there for more than 6 WEEKS.
                      You will kindly note that there is a total failure as regards providing basic facilities/ services for which THEY have taken the money in advance . Apart from above, Their personnel's behaviour is against the service norms.
                      I have complained to nodal officer on 08/09/2016 & have received no response till date.

                        Why not adding toonami India channel.
                        Its been long time that channel has been broadcasting on almost every broadcasters.
                        If these kind of service will be offered by gtpl then we are very sad to confirm the customers base I am your loyal 14 year old customer.
                        Please kindly pay your heed to our request and add toonami India channel as soon as possible.

                          Hathway Wifi connection

                          We have planned to give Hathway wifi new connection. So we called the local Hathway executive of Doddathoguru, Electronic City Phase 1 to know about the plan details. He informed us for one month prepaid plan we need to pay 1035 Rupees per month including taxes and installation charge will be 570 Rupees. We made a payment of 1605 Rupees total on August 14th 2016 and we got connection activated on 17th August...

                          I, Manish dave [protected], my user ID manish4275 would like to inform you that I have taken 2 years broadband plan from GTPL broadband and paid full money in advance but still date i am suffering with the problem of broadband connectivity. In a week, almost 6 days it's not working and due to that I lost so many my important works which I do through mail only. I purchased this plan for my export work but it doesn't worth for me.

                          I have complained many times to GTPL customer care but not resolved and in turn, I am getting reply from them that your complaint is solved but physically it was not solved by any technician of GTPL.

                          I am really upset for services of GTPL and hence, I approach to you with a request to take appropriate action from your side and I hope that you will be kind enough to do the needful in my favour.

                          I tried customer care ni response at all. Third class speed provide.
                          At the moment of registration for new broadband connection they told the speed is 1 to10mbps bur original speed is only 1 to 100kbps (what's the fu... In this).
                          From 15th to 23 August, internet was down.And from 23 to till date it is up and down frequently. We have complains frequently, but no result! I think, GTPL has only intrest in increasing costumers but decreasing customer services! There is no integration of complain solving mechanisem .In short, it is a boggus and cheater company.

                            My gtpl broad band connection was started on 19-june-2016 but the mobile application as well as the data received from gtpl office says that the connection started on 18-june-2016. The gtpl executive confirmed that there is error and date will be extended. But it has been 3 months there is no updates. I emailed about 20 times to [protected]@gtpl.net and then to higher authorities [protected]@gtpl.net and finally to nodalofficer. [protected]@gtpl.net but there is only 1 response "we will look into the matter asap" but till today as on 13-sept-2016 there is no change or reply from gtpl broadband.

                            There is no Response from GTPL. There do not care for customers. Further I emailed about 25 times to nodal and appellate authority but there is no RESOLUTION. They also do not solve the broadband issues.

                              It has been 15 days that I have requested for shifting of connection of a/c no:[protected]. But, the customer care people are promising me daily that the connection would be shifted the next day. And I have been waiting at my home all the day assuming that they would keep their promise. And apparently they them selves decided that I don't need my connection to be shifted with out even calling and confirming it from me. I don't understand how these people are so irresponsible to a customer despite of following up daily.

                              I am vexed up by calling the people daily and I couldn't know what to do rather than registering a complaint here.

                                Hi,

                                I took a new connection but those HSR branch people gave an old Hathway setup box and just kept on extending the date to give new box. Whenever I asked for new box they always said next month. Now that old setup box has gone bad and now I asked a new box, so that lady in HSR branch is telling to buy a new again.

                                Is this the way Hathway performs in Bangalore. Ridiculous. Please provide me with a new setup box immediately (which is pending from so many months).

                                The payment of Rs 450 for month of March by selecting malayalam and tamil channel packages, my card number is[protected] we are at agara hsr layout, many channels are blocked, out of 20 channels only 5 are working that too with low quality.
                                Calling the technicians, they keep telling reasons that server is down, you must pay extra, your box has complaints etc etc.
                                Now this is really irritating aftet paying the full amount and still not getting any channels.
                                Do something about this soon or else please refund our cash.

                                    Need your help!

                                    I “Vivaswan Nimkar” do have prepaid connection of Hathway Digital TV in Kothrud, Pune. My monthly subscription is 400 INR and my card details are[protected].

                                    I am trying to recharge my cable subscription from last one and half month. I have given the monthly subscription amount to your agent “Navnath” (his Mob no – [protected]) on 8th Aug 2016.
                                    This is happening second time, even for July month’s subscription recharge he took more than 15 days.

                                    Please let me know, it requires one month to recharge the Cable subscription. I am doing daily follow up calls to your agent for recharging, however all efforts are without success.

                                    It is annoying for customers like me as we always pay on time, however every time recharging a monthly subscription is frustrating task.

                                    Request you to revert whether there is any chance that my problem will be resolved or should I move to other subscriber. In case I move, whether I will get my 400 INR back or should I go to consumer forum.

                                    Request you to revert as soon as possible. It is more than month my set top box is not recharged in spite of paying the subscription charges regularly.

                                      Hello,
                                      Hathway sale executive came on saturday (3rd oct 2016) morning and gave commitment for installation till yesterday evening (4th oct 2016) collected all 3 months in advance.
                                      Just because of commitment provided by your sales executive i gave all money and took work from home for 5th oct 2016, but after so much follow up and lots of calls no one has turn up for internet connection fitting till today : (
